Abstract The percent symbol is often used in a variety of media in daily life. Students have difficulty in solving the problems dealing with percentage, even though they know little about percent. Therefore, this research was aimed to obtain learning trajectory percentage using grid 10 x 10 by Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach and find out the role of grid 10 x 10 in helping students to comprehend the percentage problem. The method of this study was design research type validation studies which were aimed to prove the learning theories. Research design consisted of three phases, those are preliminary, experiment design, and retrospective analysis. This research was conducted in SD negeri 3 OKU by involving fifth grade students. The data of this research was collected by using video, documentation, pre-test, the students’ activity sheets, posttest, and interview. The data were analyzed qualitatively. The result of this research showed that the learning trajectory which was designed consists of three activities which every activity is divided into two and grid 10 x 10 has a role in percentage learning.

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of tesselation in translational and reflection material in developing students' mathematical communication based on a scientific approach. The research method uses design research type validation study involving 30 students of class VII SMP 9 Palembang. The research process produces learning trajectory which contains a series of learning processes in two activities, namely scientific on translational material and scientific on reflection material. Every scientific activity consists of observing, asking, reasoning, trying, and forming networks. The results of the study showed that by providing learning material through a scientific approach, the role of tesselations could help students to carry out mathematical communication so that they could identify translational and reflection material. Therefore, students can understand the concepts of translation and reflection and solve problems related to the material. In conclusion, learning using tessellation with a scientific approach effectively helps students understand the concepts of translation and reflection. Through activities such as observing, asking, reasoning, trying, and forming networks Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Scientific Approach, Tessellation

The present study is a part of design research in local instructional theory in a pre-algebraic lesson using the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach. The article will focus on recommendations for the type of pre-algebra class that supports elementary school students’ algebraic thinking. As design research study, it followed the three steps of preliminary studies, teaching experiment and retrospective analysis. The subject of the study is 32 fifth grade students of MIN 2 Palembang during the teaching experiment phase.  The data were gathered from students’ worksheets, lesson observation and interviews with the students. Data analysis was done using a constant comparative qualitative method. The results from the study indicate that pattern investigation in pre-algebra class that visualized geometrically supports the students to identify the form of the pattern and construct generalization.

Bright, saturated colors are very common on maps for children, especially maps in grade-school textbooks. This is despite the tendency of professional cartographers to use highly saturated colors sparingly in much of their work. This research seeks to determine if highly saturated colors are necessary for children to understand a map’s content and if children prefer highly saturated colors. Two hundred forty two fourth and fifth grade students were tested for both performance and preference on land use and time flow maps. Saturation’s effect on performance appeared to be largely negligible, however the students, both male and female, strongly preferred the maps that were highly saturated.

This study aims to produce learning trajectories of addition and subtraction of material numbers using the context of Bangka Belitung, also to find out whether the use of these learning designs can support students' Critical Thinking Abilities (KBKM). The research method, this research is a validation study design research type involving 6 students in the pilot experiment stage, and 25 students in the teaching experiment stage. The alleged learning trajectory was developed from a series of learning activities using the context of the Pacific Islands, such as sahang / pepper seeds as a model in learning the addition and subtraction of numbers. The results showed the use of trajectories in the context of Bangka Belitung provided different assessment results between the students' pretest and posttest scores. Most students have been able to solve the problem of addition and subtraction and provide arguments in answering the problems encountered. In conclusion, the use of instructional design using the context of Bangka Belitung in the learning of addition and subtraction of numbers can support student CBCS. This study aims to produce statistical learning designs in the introduction of the concept of average values and knowing student learning outcomes in learning average values by previously learning about the presentation of data consisting of tables and diagrams through learning trajectories and what happens during the learning process. This learning is based on Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC), the approach of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI). This study uses a type of Design Research method research design type of validation study, which involves in MTs 1 in Palembang. There are three stages in design research type validation studies namely Preparing for the experiment in the form of literature study and the design of the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT); Design experiment in the form of a Preliminary Teaching Experiment (Pilot Experiment) and Teaching Experiment; and Restrospective analysis. The instruments used were written test, video and field notes. The results of learning experiments show that the design of learning provided has helped students understand the concept of Mean.

This study aims to determine the effect of scrapbook media on students' creative thinking skills. The type of research used is Quasi Experiment using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design with a sample of fifth grade students at SDN 59 Rasalewi, Bima City. The instruments used in this research are test instruments and observation sheets. Analysis of the data used in the form of percentage analysis for students' creative thinking skills, N-gain test and t-test. The results of data analysis show that from 21 students the total number of students is 76.19% or 16 students get the N-gain in the very high category and 23.81% or 5 students get the influence in the high category. The t-test results show that tcount = 2.259 > ttable = 1.725 (significant level = 0.05) so Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using scrapbook media on students' creative thinking abilities.

The article discusses the problem of the necessary pedagogical support of fourth-fifth-grade students in the course of the formation of their analytical and productive-creative activities. The ways of using the heuristic educational dialogue in organizing the textual activity of schoolchildren are characterized. The educational dialogue is considered as an effective method that stimulates the student to independent analytical work with the text, its interpretation, expanding the experience of the student's communicative interaction with classmates and the teacher, allowing the latter to carry out a differentiated approach to teaching each child, taking into account the level of his speech development. Using a specific example, the teaching capabilities of the educational dialogue method are revealed when working in the lesson with a text-description and the guiding role of the teacher in this process.
