ABSTRACT Objective: to assess the methodology for the operation and implementation of distance education resources in Brazil used for the formation of the health care professional. Method: this is a theoretical-reflective study, performed through a systematic literature review in the main databases of the Virtual Health Library (BVS or VHL), using the following descriptors: distance education, internet, and continuing education. The criteria for the inclusion of material in the study were, reading of the titles of each article and correlating them with the subject of this study, followed by the reading of the summary of the articles, published between 2004 and 2010 and in Portuguese only. Subsequently, a critical reading of the collected material and an elaboration of the present study was executed. Results: the effectiveness of the distance education depends on the sum of resources, such as the face-to-face pedagogical factors, and the factors related to the use of new communication technologies. Conclusion: the contribution of the distance education to the formation of the health care professional should be constantly evaluated because it still demonstrates inconsistencies between the use of the required resources and the certification of competent institutions. Descriptors: distance education; continuing education; internet.RESUMO Objetivo: conhecer a metodologia de funcionamento e a aplicação dos recursos da educação à distância no Brasil para a formação do profissional de saúde. Background: Unawareness and inappropriate attitude toward hepatitis B can expose healthy people, especially immigrants, to a higher risk of hepatitis B transmission. The present study aimed to determine the effect of hepatitis B prevention education by face-to-face and distance training on the knowledge and attitude of Afghan immigrant students. Methods: This randomized controlled trial was conducted on 128 voluntary immigrant nonmedical Afghan students of Imam Khomeini University in Qazvin City, Iran. The study subjects were randomly assigned to 4 groups (A1, A2, B1, & B2), and the training was performed using Solomon’s four-group-design. The A groups received face-to-face education, while the B groups received distance education through email and Telegram messenger. The required data were collected using a self-structured questionnaire at three-time intervals of before, immediately after, and one month after training. The collected data were analyzed by the Chi-squared test, Independent Samples t-test, Paired Samples t-test, and repeated-measures Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) using SPSS. Results: Based on the study findings, the improvement of knowledge and attitude values was more significant in the face-to-face groups, compared to the distance education groups. However, there was a significant difference in both methods (P<0.001). Conclusion: Although knowledge improvement was higher in the face-to-face education groups, there was also an increase in the knowledge and attitude of the distance education group. Therefore, face-to-face education is preferred; however, using a combination of these educational methods could be beneficial.

The education community, accustomed to the face-to-face education system, had to switch to the distance education system with the COVID-19 pandemic. It was inevitable for educators who had not experienced distance education to prepare themselves in a short time and to complete the process with the least damage. Of course, there were many negativities during distance education and the whole world gained certain experiences during this time. In this study, the problems experienced by the academic staff using distance education applications, their approaches to distance education, how much they have improved themselves in other possible problems in the future, and what they expect from distance education have been examined. Thematic analysis was used as a research design; articles, theses, books, reports of official institutions and organizations were examined; and the concepts that emerged during distance education applications were divided according to categories by using descriptive and thematic analysis.

People’s attitudes towards forest stand characteristics including deadwood are becoming increasingly relevant in sustainable forest management. The aim of this study is to investigate people’s attitudes towards deadwood in forest. The study was carried out in the Rakhiv region (Ukraine) characterized by high importance of forest resources for the local community and economy. People’s opinions were collected through the face-to-face administration of a questionnaire to 308 respondents. The survey investigated three aspects: importance of deadwood in forest; people’s perceptions of positive and negative effects of deadwood in forest; effects of presence and amount of deadwood in different types of forest on people’s aesthetical preferences. The results show that the majority of respondents consider deadwood as an important component of the forest, but generally they prefer intensively managed forests without deadwood. According to the respondents’ opinions, the most important positive effect of deadwood is a contribution to stand dynamics, while the most important negative effect is an increasing risk of insects and diseases.

At present we are in a constant change that affects us in a technological, economic, social, political and environmental way. Where virtual education is undoubtedly the one that most adapts to these changes. Every day, Content Management Systems are generated that favor the development of virtual classrooms as support and learning tools in university academic training, which help to minimize geographical barriers in education and bring knowledge closer to people. A content manager or CMS (Content Management System) is a management system that allows you to create, manage and publish content in a web environment, a clear example is Moodle. The implementation of virtual classrooms favors the training and qualification of university students through the incorporation of learning strategies focused on developing theoretical and practical competences and attitudes that allow them to perform effectively in the workplace, as well as strengthening the face to face and semi-formal educational modalities. face-to-face.

Introduction: The Corona virus (COVID-19) pandemic caused, among others, the need for colleges and universities managers around the world to reinvent new ways of providing education preserving its good quality at the same time. With the new ordinances of the Ministry of Education and Health, all courses can use remote methodologies for the continuity on the current school year. With new challenges and paradigms emerging from this methodological proposal: provide for the user the feeling of immersion, of being in the class room, from the navigation and interaction in this virtual environment, at the same time that the educator, respecting the educational principles and the pedagogical approach that he believes, does not transform this moment into a simple distance education. Objective: to describe the state of the art on nursing education and the challenges of using remote technologies in the time of Corona virus pandemic. Methods: this is a reflective study based on secondary sources of literature relevant to the theme, considering articles from national and international journals and recent productions on education, health training, remote technologies, COVId-19 and public health. Results: it is evident that experiencing the effects of the corona virus pandemic (COVID-19) in the health educational sector, especially in the field of nursing, goes beyond a structural reorganization of courses. It implies change attitude of managers, teachers and students to reformulate educational  practices (sometimes with traditional tools), with innovative practices preserving a  methodology that provides to the student criticality reflection, dialogue, bonding and interaction; elements that are part of a training aimed at transformation, empowerment and not just the transmission of knowledge. In this context, the COVID-19 pandemic caused paradigm shifts perhaps not yet overcome by  health science   institutions  , because when they perceived themselves within a reality that generated changes in the political, economic, cultural and social aspects at a global level, they had to reinvent and insert new ways of teaching in their work process; they had to discuss different educational approaches and, given the needs to readjust health teaching methods, they inserted remote technologies as essential tools to meet the real need for continuity of classes in non-face-to-face model. For many, it is a challenge, as it currently permeates a reflection on the attention of distance learning in the field of nursing and other courses in the health area. However, as it opened up to discussions about new ways of teaching mediated by innovation, it can be said that this will be one of the greatest impact of the pandemic in benefit the education: the contribution of new information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning process for training in health, as well as the reflection on distance education and its concepts, differentiating it from the concepts of remote methodology and the use of technologies. Conclusion: In nursing education, the discussion related to the use of remote technologies in the classroom has always been a point of debate. However, with the need to include these tools for the continuity of classes in the non-face-to-face model resulting from the social isolation strategy motivated by the pandemic of COVID-19, it can provide an opportunity to have a new look on the subject and perhaps there is an opportunity to expand the debate on the use of remote methodologies in health education, seeking a reflection on their interaction with the other teaching methods already implemented.

Confinement due to the COVID-19 pandemic has hastened an educational shift from face-to-face to online classrooms. This distanced education seeks to achieve learning goals mediated by technology as they would be achieved in the face-to-face classroom, without ignoring the psychological and social impact that COVID-19 has had on students and teachers. Faced with this situation, the use of online educational escape rooms has been proposed as a motivating strategy for students to review curriculum content in a cooperative and fun way. A qualitative investigation was carried out to explore the perceptions of university students in the Social Education degree program after the implementation of an educational escape room. Our main findings are that most students found that it allowed them to interact with their peers beyond traditional education, that it was useful for their learning and that it was a pleasant activity. However, it was also mentioned that it can be a stressful activity as being an online activity, some students may have connectivity problems. It is concluded that online escape rooms can be active and effective learning strategies for university students.

Genetically modified organisms (GMO), or transgenic products, are products formed by changing the gene sequence of the organism, or by transferring a new gene to the organism and giving it a feature that it does not have. The use of these products in the production of vaccines and drugs, in organ transplants and in the treatment of diseases, ensuring the resistance of plants to pests, long shelf life and increasing food quality are positive; allergic reactions, toxic effects, and damage to ecological diversity are negative effects. In the rese-arch, it was aimed to measure the awareness levels of the personnel about GMOs and their effects on human health. In this context, the universe of the research is composed of all public hospitals in Sinop province, and the sample is composed of personnel working in Sinop Atatürk and Gerze State Hospital. The data of the research were obtained through the questionnaire form created and by the face-to-face interview technique and random sampling method. In this context, data obtained from a total of 312 hospital employees were analyzed with the SPSS 21 package program. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the level of social awareness of the participants in GMO foods and their awareness about the presence and harm of GMOs in foods is high. In addition, it was determined that there were differences in terms of gender and marital status of participants according to their perception level of research dimensions.

Distance Education, Convergence Culture and Audiovisualities: Notes for Teacher TrainingABSTRACTOur proposal is to think, based on the concept of audiovisualities, the possibilities open by the convergence culture, whether in the scenarios of distance education, whether in the landscapes of the face to face education.
