The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of a scientic study on low and medium level of intense circuit training on selected physiological parameter among elite female athletes. To achieve the purpose of the study thirty female athletes were selected from Erode District, Tamilnadu, India during the year 2021. The subject’s age ranges from 21 to 25 years. The selected subjects were divided into two equal groups consists of 15 subjects each namely experimental group and control group. The experimental group underwent a combined low and medium level of intensity circuit training programme for eight weeks. The control group was not taking part in any training during the course of the study. Resting heart rate was taken as criterion variable in this study. The selected subjects were tested on resting heart rate was measured through heart rate monitor. Pre-test was taken before the training period and post- test was measured immediately after the eight week training period. Statistical technique‘t’ ratio was used to analyse the means of the pre-test and post test data of experimental group and control group. The results revealed that there was a signicant difference found on the criterion variable. The difference is found due to combined low and medium level of intensity circuit training given to the experimental group on heart rate when compared to control group.

Several factors influence the employee's personality including psycho-social factors. Previously studies have conducted to investigate the influence of Big-5 traits which impact employee’s performance. This study investigated the influence of Big-5 on the employee’s performance. The study used a cross-sectional survey a 5-point Likert scale was distributed among 163 samples selected randomly. The findings report a significant relationship between the predictors and a criterion variable. The study points those two predictors i.e., openness to experience and emotional control predict 57% variance in criterion variable as compared to the extravert, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. This study concludes that teacher’s centric policies & mechanisms enhance employee trust and confidence and it overcomes the apprehensions, as result, they perform better and contribute more towards the promotion of education and research in higher educational institutions.

The construct validity in relation to the dimensionality or factor structure of the Beck Hopelessness Scale (BHS) has long been debated in psychometrics. Irrelevant variance due to item wording (method effects) can distort the factor structure, and recent studies have examined the method factor’s role in the factor structure of the BHS. However, the models used to control the method effects have severe limitations, and new models are needed. One such model is the correlated trait-correlated method minus one (CT-C(M-1)), which is a powerful approach that gives the trait factor an unambiguous meaning and prevents the anomalous results associated with fully symmetrical bifactor modeling. The present work compares the fit and factor structure of the CT-C(M-1) model to bifactor models proposed in previous literature and evaluates the convergent validity of the CT-C(M-1) model and its discriminatory capacity by taking suicidal ideation as the criterion variable. This study used a large and heterogeneous open mode online sample of Argentinian people (N = 2,164). The results indicated that the CT-C(M-1) model with positive words as referenced items achieves the most adequate factor structure. The factorial scores derived from this model demonstrate good predictive and discriminating capabilities.

The general objective pursued in this research is to describe and predict the students’ reading habit, reading interest, reading motivation, and reading self-efficacy to their reading competency in the Senior High School. The design applied is a quantitative research. There were 124 students recruited using cluster sampling technique. Data were gathered using four rating scales and a reading test. The obtained data were analyzed in two phases, namely: descriptively and inferentially. Descriptively, central tendency measures and dispersion were computed for the four predictor variables and one criterion variable. Whereas inferentially, gross and net contributions of the four predictor variables to the criterion variables were computed using regression analysis technique. Descriptively, the mean scores of reading habit, reading interest, reading motivation, reading self-efficacy, and reading comprehension are categorically moderate. The multiple correlation between the predictor variables and the criterion variable is highly significant (R= 78.7%). The contribution of the predictor variable to the criterion variable is as much as 61.9%. The research findings imply effective efforts to the betterment of reading habit, interest, motivation, self-efficacy as well as the the students’ reading comprehension in SMAN 1 Kuta Selatan.

The objective of the present study is to analyze whether the variable Curiosity is a moderating variable between Impulsivity and Entrepreneurial Orientation. The multi-occupational sample of 883 Spanish and Colombian employees (49% men, 51% women) was obtained through non-probabilistic sampling. The data collected were processed with the SPSS 23.0 program. Statistically significant correlations were found among all the research variables except for Functional Impulsivity. Finally, empirical evidence indicates that Curiosity-D plays a moderating role between Dysfunctional Impulsivity and Entrepreneurial Orientation in the sense that Curiosity-D (understood as a quantitative variable) affects the intensity of the relationship between Dysfunctional Impulsivity (predictor variable) and Entrepreneurial Orientation (criterion variable).

This paper presents a method for the position identification of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Martian atmosphere in the future. It uses the image processing of craters captured via an onboard camera of the UAV and database images. The method is composed of two processes: individual crater detection using a cascade object detector and position identification using the recognition Taguchi (RT)-method. In crater detection, objects with shapes that resemble craters are detected regardless of their positions, and the positions of multiple detected craters are identified using the criterion variable D*, which is a normalized Mahalanobis distance. D* is calculated from several feature variables expressing the area ratios and relative positions of the detected craters in the RT-method.

AbstractAlthough usually taken as a symmetric measure, G is shown to be a directional coefficient of association. The direction in G is not related to rows or columns of the cross-table nor the identity of the variables to be a predictor or a criterion variable but, instead, to the number of categories in the scales. Under the conditions where there are no tied pairs in the dataset, G equals Somers’ D so directed that the variable with a wider scale (X) explains the response pattern in the variable with a narrower scale (g), that is, D(g│X). Hence, G = G(g│X) = D(g│X) but G ≠ D(X│g) and G ≠ D(symmetric). If there are tied pairs, the estimates by G = G(g│X) are more liberal in comparison with those by D(g│X). Algebraic relation of G and D with Jonckheere–Terpstra test statistic (JT) is derived. Because of the connection to JT, G = G(g│X) and D = D(g│X) indicate the proportion of logically ordered test-takers in the item after they are ordered by the score. It is strongly recommendable that gamma should not be used as a symmetric measure, and it should be used directionally only when willing to explain the behaviour of a variable with a narrower scale by the variable with a wider scale. This fits well with the measurement modelling settings.

Race walking (RW) is a cyclic athletic discipline, of aerobic character, which is characterized by high intensity and high energy consumption. The result is correlated with the anthropological dimensions of the walker as well as good technical performance. The study includes 25 male students, third year of study, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports in East Sarajevo. For the purposes of the research, the results of RW at 2km (criterion variable) were measured, on the basis of which average values of walking speed (WS) were calculated. The aim of the research was to determine the correlation between the achieved result depending on the walking speed. By applying the Pearson product of the correlation moment, the obtained results confirmed a significant and high correlation between the result and the walking speed (r = -0.988; p<0.05) with an inverse function that confirms the high dependence of the result on the WS.

Article visualizations:

Abstract. Teachers’ competences and students’ motivation have been long suspected to have influence on students’ English ability. Some studies have been conducted to investigate the relationship. However, some information is unobserved. This study intended to fill the gap in literature concerning the relationship among teacher’s competences, students’ learning motivation, and students’ English proficiency at Junior High Schools in OKUT. The samples of the study were 30 teachers and 918 students. The data were collected through documentation (teachers’ competence test result and students’ English proficiency test result) and questionnaire (students’ learning English motivation). The results showed that there was a significant correlation between the English teachers’ competence and the English proficiency of students showed by robtained = .363, (p=.49) which was higher than the rtable (.361). Then, there was a positive significant correlation between students’ motivation in learning English and their English proficiency achievement (r= .711, p = .000). Meanwhile, the correlation between teachers’ competence and students’ motivation in learning English also showed that there was a positive significant correlation between these variables ( r = .753, p = .000) . At last, the correlation was also found between the predictor variables (teachers’ competence and students’ learning English motivation) and criterion variable (students’ English proficiency) with correlation coefficient 0.758 significant at .01 level. The contributions given by predictor variables to criterion variable were also analyzed. The result of stepwise method showed that predictor variables contributed to 54.4% of the criterion variable. Keywords: teachers’ competences, students’ learning motivation, students’ English proficiency, correlation, contribution
