This study aims to determine the correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. The formulation of the problems in this study: (1) is there a correlation between work motivation and teacher performance?, (2) is there a correlation between work discipline and teacher performance?, (3) is there a correlation between work motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sample in this study amounted to 74 students. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and documentation. The instrument used was a test sheet. The theories used are teaching and learning strategy theory and learning evaluation theory. The results of this study. Based on the respondents' perceptions of work motivation, a score range of 116-150 was obtained, with a total score of 20409 and an average score of 130.79 which in this case was categorized as quite good. Respondents' perceptions about the effect of work discipline on teacher performance obtained a score range of 107 - 151, with a total score of 20191.00 and an average score of 134.43 which is in the good category. The degree of influence of the work motivation variable (X1) and the work discipline variable (X2) on teacher performance (Y) was 0.73 or 73%. This shows that the teacher's performance (Y) is jointly (simultaneously) influenced by the work motivation variable (X1) and the work discipline variable (X2) by 73% while the remaining 27% is influenced by other factors outside the equation model.

<p>Abstract. This study aims to determine the improvement of children's poetry reading skills with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach in Class V Students of SDN 2 Nanggulan, District of Cawas, Klaten Regency, Semester I, Academic Year 2018/2019. This Classroom Action Research was conducted in the fifth grade of Nanggulan Elementary School 2 in Cawas District, Klaten Regency with a total of 17 students, consisting of 3 male students and 14 female students. This classroom action research is carried out three cycles in a continuous manner. Each cycle is carried out by planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting to determine the effectiveness of the action. Based on the analysis, it can be<br />concluded as follows: First, based on observations of teacher performance the results of the average score of teacher performance have increased from learning Cycle I for 1.3 Cycle II learning to 2.3, and at Cycle III 2.7. With the criteria of a sufficient limit score is a score of 2 and a score of 3 is good; Second, based on student activity data for three cycles, the average score about student activity experienced an increase from Cycle I learning at 1.2 learning Cycle II to 2.0 and in Cycle III learning to 2.8; Third, based on the results of the assessment of<br />reading children's poetry with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, the average score of the test results and assignments has increased from Cycle I learning to 70.89 Cycle II learning to 75.59 and Cycle III learning to 79.71 . Increasing the percentage of classical learning completeness by learning cycle I was 41.18%, learning Cycle II became 58.82%, and learning in Cycle III reached 82.35%. Thus through the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach the ability to read children's poetry in Class V students of SD Negeri 2 Nanggulan, District of Cawas, Klaten Regency, in the first semester of school year 2018/2019 can increase.</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan Strategi Joyful Learning. Strategi joyful learning membantu guru untuk lebih kreatif dalam proses belajar mengajar dan dapat meningkatakan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian   ini  adalah  Penelitian  Tindakan Kelas  (PTK) yang  dilakukan  secara  kolaboratif. Subjek  penelitian   adalah  peserta  didik kelas VII B  berjumlah  22  orang, 5 putri dan 17 putra. Penerapan strategi joyful learning menunjukkan peningkatan pada hasil belajar. Siklus I meningkat menjadi 21 siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 95. Pada siklus I memperoleh nilai rata-rata IPG 73% dengan kategori baik, IRS 88 % dengan kategori sangat baik, dan IKL 80% dengan kategori baik. This study aims to improve learning outcomes by using the Joyful Learning Strategy. Joyful learning strategies help teachers to be more creative in the teaching and learning process and can improve student learning outcomes. The design of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is conducted collaboratively. The research subjects were 22 students of class VII B, 5 girls and 17 boys. The application of joyful learning strategies shows an increase in learning outcomes. The first cycle increased to 21 students who achieved completeness with an average grade of 95. In the first cycle, the IPG average score was 73% in the good category, 88% IRS in the very good category, and 80% IKL in the good category.

This study aimed to determine the ability of students’ reading comprehension in grade XI SMA Negeri Kota Bima, the factors that affect the students’ reading comprehension comprehension, as well as obstacles and how to overcome them. The type of research used in this research was qualitative research using observation, interview and documentation study. The data collection technique involved 74 students of class XI in SMA Negeri Kota Bima as respondents. While for data analysis technique, the writer uses triangulation of data and sources. From this research, it resulted: (1) Based on the results of student learning evaluation conducted by teachers during the last 2 years, the average score obtained by students of 60, 28 of them got score with a high value ranges 70-100, and the remaining got 46 scores with a score range of 10-65; (2) Factors that may affect student reading comprehension were internal and external factors; (3) As for some obstacles encountered in this research were: (a) The use of instructional media by teachers was still lacking, (b) the utilization of facilities and infrastructure had not been maximized, (c) the learning resources were still lacking, (d) the student’ motivation was low, (4)The solutions offered were: (a) Maximum utilization of facilities and infrastructure, (b)the use texts in the form of local folklore, (d) using and develop innovative, lightweight, easy and repeatable media of learning.

This article discusses about role of leadership and motivation of school headmaster in improving teacher performance. By using literature review in education, this article found that teacher is a professional profession where he is required to make every effort to carry out his activities as best he can. The task of the teacher as an educator, teacher and trainer should be able to impact the students. The teacher as one component in teaching and learning activities, has a position that greatly determines the success of learning. The role of the school headmaster is very important and dominant in improving teacher performance, both in increasing competence and work motivation and in building effective work systems and creating a harmonious, safe and pleasant working atmosphere. The efforts of improving the quality of teachers must be continuously carried out by school headmaster in order to improve the performance of teachers into reliable individuals who will advance the school organization. Therefore, we need the ability of the leadership role and motivation of the principal to explore, disseminate, foster and develop the potential of the teacher in order to improve teacher performance in order to achieve educational goals

Abstract: This research aims to: a) describe supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation, and teacher performance on state senior high school in Semarang City; b) find out direct and indirect effect of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation to teacher performance on state senior high school in Semarang City. Data analisys use SEM and LISREL. The population cover all teacher of state senior high school in Semarang City and the population are 399 teachers.Research result shows: a) the result of descriptive statistic of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation are good; b) the resulft of confirmation assesment on descriptive statistic of supervision, compensation, work climate, work satisfaction, work motivation are positively effect teacher performance. Abstrak: Penelitian ini untuk bertujuan: a) deskripsi supervisi, kompensasi, iklim kerja, kepuasan kerja, motivasi kerja dan kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang; b) besarnya pengaruh langsung dan tak langsung supervisi, kompensasi, iklim kerja, kepuasan kerja dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang. Analisis data menggunakan SEM (Struktural Equation Model), program statistika LISREL (Linear Structural Realitionship). Populasi penelitian seluruh guru SMA Negeri Kota Semarang dan sampel penelitian ditentukan sejumlah 399 guru. This study aims to determine the influence of principal leadership and work motivation on teaching quality of teachers in  Ogan Komering Ulu Timur  (OKUT) vocational school. The formulation of the problem in this study: (1) is there an influence of the principal leadership on the quality of teacher teaching?, (2) is there an influence of teacher work motivation on teaching quality?, (3) is there an influence between principal leadership and work motivation on teaching quality of teacher in OKUT vocational school. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method to see the effect partially between the existing variables. The results of this study obtained respondents' perceptions of the principal leadership obtained a score range of 116-150 and an average score of 130.79. Respondents' perceptions of performance motivation on teaching quality of teacher were obtained scores of 107-151 with a total score of 20191.00 and an average score of 134.43. This research is motivated by still many obstacles faced by teachers, including, not all teachers develop the Syllabus and Implementation Plan of Learning well. In addition, the researchers also found that some teachers did not make plans for implementing learning in carrying out classroom learning, so the teacher taught without preparation at all. Then in the implementation of teaching and learning interactions, not all teachers use teaching aids / media and various learning models. The method used is less varied, only lectures and questions and answers. The purpose of this study was to improve teacher performance through supervision of class visits by principals. this research was conducted at SDN 26 Bathin Solapan. The subjects of this study were all six class teachers. The results of the study prove that, there was an increase in assessment after supervision of class visits. The increase is as follows: in the first cycle the class I teacher got an average score of 71 while in the second cycle it increased to 86.3. Class II teacher, in the first cycle got an average score of 69.6, while the second cycle increased to 86.6. Class III teachers in the first cycle got an average score of 68.3, while the second cycle increased to 83.6. Grade IV teachers in the first cycle got an average score of 67, while the second cycle increased to 89. The fifth grade teacher in the first cycle got an average score of 69.6, while the second cycle increased to 87.3, and the class VI teacher in the first cycle got the average score. 72, while the second cycle increased to 89. From these results, researchers can conclude that by implementing supervision of class visits by principals can improve teacher performance at SDN 26 Bathin Solapan.

 Today there are so many learning strategies to support teaching and learning activities. One of the learning strategies that can be applied in writing skills is Task Based Language Learning. This research aims to measure the level of student mastery of descriptive text writing skills before and after the use of Task Based Language Learning strategies; measure the effectiveness of the implementation of Task Based Language Learning, and; obtain information about the implementation of Task Based Language Learning. The method used in this research was a pre-experimental. Meanwhile, the research design was one group pre-test and post-test design. The research findings explained that the use of Task Based Language Learning can improve students’s descriptive text writing skills. This is proven by an increase in the average value obtained by students. The average score in the pre-test was 60.8 while the post-test average score increased by 74.88. Then based on the overall questionnaire data analysis, the application of this learning strategy contributed positively to the learning of descriptive French writing skills.

This research is motivated by efforts to improve the quality of education, and teacher performance has not been achieved as expected. This can be seen from the number of students' achievement decreases. Due to the teacher's performance has not yet produced a standard output of students who excel. The cause that occurs can not be separated from the competence, motivation, and learning environment that still has to be improved. These three variables directly or indirectly have an influence on teacher performance and the quality of education. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of competence, motivation, learning environment on teacher performance, the quality of education, and indirect effects through teacher performance on the quality of education. The population of this study was all elementary school teachers at the Education Office of South Sulawesi Province. The total sample study is 393 respondents. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) utilizing AMOS 18. The study results found that direct or indirect effect the competence, motivation, learning environment had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, as well as relationship antecedent variables on the quality of education. Including the performance of teachers, effect on quality of education.

The key issues examined are covering, how the implementation of an integrated learning strategy model Spider-webs on the subject Quran Hadis learners XI MAN IC Gowa, What the integrated learning strategy model of spider-webs can improve learning outcomes in Class X MAN IC Gowa students, and How to apply the integrated learning strategy of the Spider Web model in improving the learning outcomes of Class XI MAN IC Gowa. This research is a classroom action research conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2019-2020 consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively, which explains the results of actions during the teaching and learning process, and quantitatively calculated the data, namely the average score, frequency table, minimum value, maximum value, and percentage. The results showed that the integrated learning strategy of the spider-web model can improve student learning outcomes seen from an increase in the percentage of students’ mastery learning, from pre-cycle to cycle I, and to cycle II, namely 29 % pre- cycle there was an increase in cycle I, 82 % and cycle II reached 100 % and the average pre-cycle class was 67 an increase in cycle I to be 87 and in cycle II to 94.
