The E-Commerce progress during the Covid-19 pandemic, has had an impact on the emergence of many startup companies such as Tokopedia, Gojek, Traveloka, and Bukalapak. There are legal problems caused by the emergence of these start-ups. One of the serious problems it causes is maintaining consumer privacy from start-up companies. A large number of applications are used, making it easier for companies to obtain their consumers' data. This raises the possibility of leakage of consumer personal data, the possibility that will arise needs to be considered regarding the guarantee of transaction security and privacy, namely the protection of consumer personal data which can cause problems in the future if data leaks occur. The discussion in this article is how the problems with consumer personal data in start-up companies are and how important the Law on personal data protection is as an effort to protect consumer personal data for start-up companies. However, Indonesia still does not have a law that specifically regulates the protection of personal data, where this law is urgently needed at this time as a legal umbrella for the people of Indonesia.

The manufacture of raw materials to deliver the product to the consumer in a traditional supply chain system is a manual process with insufficient data and transaction security. It also takes a significant amount of time, making the entire procedure lengthy. Overall, the undivided process is ineffective and untrustworthy for consumers. If blockchain and smart contract technologies are integrated into traditional supply chain management systems, data security, authenticity, time management, and transaction processes will all be significantly improved. Blockchain is a revolutionary, decentralized technology that protects data from unauthorized access. The entire supply chain management (SCM) will be satisfied with the consumer once smart contracts are implemented. The plan becomes more trustworthy when the mediator is contracted, which is doable in these ways. The tags employed in the conventional SCM process are costly and have limited possibilities. As a result, it is difficult to maintain product secrecy and accountability in the SCM scheme. It is also a common target for wireless attacks (reply attacks, eavesdropping, etc.). In SCM, the phrase “product confidentiality” is very significant. It means that only those who have been validated have access to the information. This paper emphasizes reducing the involvement of third parties in the supply chain system and improving data security. Traditional supply chain management systems have a number of significant flaws. Lack of traceability, difficulty maintaining product safety and quality, failure to monitor and control inventory in warehouses and shops, rising supply chain expenses, and so on, are some of them. The focus of this paper is on minimizing third-party participation in the supply chain system and enhancing data security. This improves accessibility, efficiency, and timeliness throughout the whole process. The primary advantage is that individuals will feel safer throughout the payment process. However, in this study, a peer-to-peer encrypted system was utilized in conjunction with a smart contract. Additionally, there are a few other features. Because this document makes use of an immutable ledger, the hacker will be unable to get access to it. Even if they get access to the system, they will be unable to modify any data. If the goods are defective, the transaction will be halted, and the customer will be reimbursed, with the seller receiving the merchandise. By using cryptographic methods, transaction security will be a feasible alternative for recasting these issues. Finally, this paper will demonstrate how to maintain the method with the maximum level of safety, transparency, and efficiency.

This study, investigated the impact of e-marketing practices on the performance of manufacturing Small and Medium Enterprises in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Through quantitative method, the survey research design was employed and a cross-sectional analytical approach was used. Data was randomly collected from 200 SMEs using both semi-structured questionnaire and company reports. Then, the analysis stage involved descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation, and regression analyses through SPSS:21 Results confirm that growth performance is more evident in SMEs that have used ICTs in their marketing activities and/or had ICTs knowledge as compared to their counterparts that did not transact electronically. Further findings reveal that most SMEs perceive the use of ICTs in marketing as an important aspect. However, there is no statistically significant relationship in the rating of the importance of ICT applications and SMEs performance. Apparently, there is more or less similar views on the importance of e-marketing within manufacturing SMEs. Notably, the study identified some challenges of executing e-marketing including lack of ICT knowledge, increase in internet crimes, lack of trust and transaction security, difficulties in accessing the internet and ICT accessories. Further, the model that can be used to explain the impact of e-marketing on SMEs performance is proposed.

In view of the expanding range of banking services in Ukraine, the issue of introducing innovative means of protecting consumers against illegal actions in the field of banking becomes relevant. This paper aims to determine the effectiveness of biometric technologies for customer identification during banking transactions, the legality of their use, and to identify areas for the development of state policy focused on the legal use of biometric data in order to protect the rights and legitimate interests of individuals and legal entities. Based on analysis and systematization of scientific publications and regulatory framework, it was found that a potential direction for banks to implement the customer focus concept in their services to establish the appropriate level of security is the use of biometric technologies that ensure the proper storage of personal data. The summarized information on the actual application of biometric identification methods in the banking sector allows stating that the factors stipulating the criminal offenses using biometric data can be neutralized by the subjects of counteracting such offenses and through effective legal remedies. Contradictions arising between the state of regulatory support and the actual needs for the use of biometric technologies in the field of banking in Ukraine decelerate the use of effective security tools with a high degree of reliability in the banking sector. It is concluded that further implementation of biometrics in the banking sector in Ukraine requires a comprehensive approach and consideration of the best world practices.
