The cultivation of nationalism is very important for the younger generation, including students throughout the archipelago. National pride is the basic capital to build a nation state regardless of ethnicity, language, and religion followed by high school students. This article aims to determine 1) the national perception of Christian students in Central Sulawesi, Kab. Poso; 2) and explore what factors shape the national perceptions of Christian students in the region. By using the quantitative description method, in this study the following findings were obtained: The sense of state defense from the research sample is known to be 91%, maintains the Pancasila ideology 91%, is proud of the NKRI 92%, respects the red and white flag 94%, respects differences in 99%, coexists with other tribes 98%, respects religion and beliefs 100%, congratulate 97% of different religions. Based on the data about these perceptions, it can be seen that; First, students in Poso District have positive perceptions of nationalism (nationalism). Second, students still have a vulnerable national view, especially when connected with attitudes towards the basic existence of statehood. Third, students still have a vulnerability to religious issues, where religious sentiment can be a trigger for conflict. Fourth, students still hold the view that the life of the nation and state can only be strengthened if its citizens uphold the philosophy of the nation (Pancasila) within the framework of a unitary state.

Indonesia's territory which is located at the confluence of three major tectonic plates in the world, causes Indonesia to experience frequent natural disasters such as earthquakes. Three areas in Indonesia that experienced major earthquakes in the last 10 years are Aceh, Mataram / Lombok, and Palu. The earthquake not only caused material damage but also psychological trauma. Post-disaster trauma is vulnerable to children and adolescents. Problems experienced from a disaster have an impact on various aspects of life so that they can affect the quality of life of the victim. Quality of life is very important especially for adolescents, because adolescents who have higher quality of life tend to have low physical and psychological problems. Therefore, this study aims to describe the quality of life of adolescents in earthquake areas. Participants in this study were 437 senior high school students aged 12-19 years. All participants came from Aceh (NAD), Mataram (NTB), and Palu (Central Sulawesi). Data collection was carried out through a survey with WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire which consisted of 4 aspects, namely physical, psychological, social, and environmental. Data analysis used descriptive statistical techniques which is processed using the IBM 22.0 version of the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) computer program and the LISREL 8.80 program. Data collection was carried out before the COVID-19 Pandemic occurred. The results showed that the quality of life of adolescents in terms of physical, psychological, social, and environmental aspects in Aceh, Mataram and Palu was classified as moderate. The results of this study can be used as a first step in designing interventions related to the quality of life of adolescents in earthquake areas. Posisi wilayah Indonesia yang terletak pada pertemuan tiga lempeng tektonik utama di dunia menyebabkan Indonesia sering mengalami bencana alam seperti gempa bumi. Daerah di Indonesia yang mengalami gempa besar dalam 10 tahun terakhir yaitu Aceh, Mataram/Lombok, dan Palu. Gempa tersebut tidak hanya memberikan dampak berupa kerusakan materiil tetapi juga trauma psikologis. Trauma pasca bencana ini rentan dialami oleh anak-anak dan remaja. Masalah yang dialami dari satu peristiwa bencana berdampak pada berbagai aspek kehidupan sehingga dapat memengaruhi kualitas hidup korban. Kualitas hidup sangat penting khususnya bagi remaja karena remaja yang memiliki kualitas kehidupan yang tinggi cenderung rendah mengalami permasalahan fisik dan psikologis. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kualitas hidup remaja di daerah gempa. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 437 siswa SMA sederajat berusia 12-19 tahun. Partisipan berasal dari Aceh (NAD), Mataram (NTB), dan Palu (Sulawesi Tengah). Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode survei melalui kuesioner WHOQOL-BREF yang terdiri dari 4 aspek yaitu fisik, psikologis, sosial dan lingkungan. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan komputer program SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) versi IBM 22.0. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan sebelum terjadinya pandemi Covid-19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas hidup remaja ditinjau dari aspek fisik, psikologis, sosial, dan lingkungan di Aceh, Mataram, dan Palu tergolong sedang. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai langkah awal dalam merancang intervensi terkait kualitas kehidupan remaja di daerah gempa.

The purpose of this community service is to fulfill the activities of tridharma college and to help provide knowledge to students and students as the young generation of the nation to provide an introduction to taxes in addition, this activity is to provide tax knowledge and must be fostered a conscious and tax-abiding attitude from an early age, because the obligation to pay taxes is one form of state defense to Almasih Christian high school students to be given. In addition to helping one of the programs of the Directorate General of Taxes, namely The Speaking Tax which aims to provide an introduction to taxes to early childhood because they are the younger generation of this nation. Our partner is a high school in Jakarta. For the first time we will provide counseling in the form of lectures to high school students to be given direct tax knowledge that is heavy and formal, and must be fun but still educating, here we focus on explaining the tax benefits that they can feel early on. The high school students were very enthusiastic in participating in this event and ended the Q&A section.This series of activities is expected to invite young Indonesians to become more tax conscious and increase tax compliance in the future he has earned income. The younger generation is also invited to participate in the defense of the State through tax compliance.Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memenuhi kegiatan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi dan untuk membantu memberikan pengetahuan kepada siswa dan siswi sebagai generasi muda bangsa untuk memberikan pengenalan tentang pajak Selain itu kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan pengetahuan perpajakan serta harus dipupuk sikap sadar dan taat pajak sedari dini, karena kewajiban membayar pajak merupakan salah satu bentuk bela Negara kepada siswa-siswi  SMA Kristen Almasih  untuk diberikan. Selain untuk membantu salah satu program Direktorat Jenderal Pajak yaitu Pajak Bertutur yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengenalan tentang pajak kepada anak-anak usia dini karena merekalah generasi muda bangsa ini. Mitra kami adalah suatu sekolah SMA di Jakarta.Untuk pertama-tama kita akan memberikan penyuluhan dalam bentuk ceramah kepada para siswa-siswi SMA untuk diberi pengetahuan pajak yang langsung berat dan bersifat formal, serta harus bersifat fun tapi tetap mengedukasi, disini kita berfokus pada penjelasan manfaat pajak yang bisa dirasakan mereka sejak dini. Para siswa siswi SMA sangat antusias dalam mengikuti acara ini dan diakhiri seksi tanya jawab. Serangkaian kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat mengajak anak muda Indonesia semakin sadar pajak dan meningkatkan kepatuhan pajak pada nanti dia sudah mendapatkan penghasilan. Generasi muda juga diajak untuk ikut bagian dalam bela Negara melalui kepatuhan pajak.

ABSTRAKAncaman radikalisme dan terorisme hingga saat ini masih berkembang di Indonesia. Kelompok yang rentan dari pergerakan gerakan radikal ini adalah pelajar sekolah menengah atas, civitas akademika kampus, serta masyarakat umum secara terbatas. Hal ini tentu saja menjadi ancaman serius bagi negara, karena dapat mengancam keamanannasional dan masyarakatnya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilalukan pencegahan dini terhadap radikalisme yang dapat berujung pada aksi terorisme. Tindakan pencegahan ini dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai upaya seperti meningkatkanketahanan masyarakat. Dalam menjawab persoalan di atas, penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analitis deskriptif, sehingga penelitian ini mendeskripsikan mengenai fenomena gerakan radikal dan aksi terorisme di Indonesua dan menganalisis upaya pencegahan dini yang dapat dilakukan oleh Pemerintah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua pola penyebaran radikalisme di Indonesia, yaitu melalui Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat (LSM) tertentu dan pembentukan kelompok-kelompok kajian. mengingat rentanya masyarakat khususnya kaum pelajar akan ancaman radikalisme ini, maka upaya pencegahan dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan pemahaman bela negara melalui mata pelajaran Pendidikan dan Kewarganegaraan. Dalam pelajaran ini, siswa / mahasiswa diberikan pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai dasar bela negara, sehingga ancaman dari paham-paham radikalisme terhadap masyarakat dapat dicegah secara dini.Kata kunci: Radikalisme, Terorisme, Bela Negara, Perguruan Tinggi, dan Keamanan Nasional ABSTRACTAbstract:The threat of radicalism and terrorism is still on developing phase in Indonesia. Groups that are vulnerable to this radical movement are high school students, the campus academic community, and society in a limited manner. This is a serious threat to the state because it can threaten national security and the society. Therefore, it is necessary to do early prevention against radicalism which can lead to acts of terrorism. This preventive action can be done through various efforts such as increasing community resilience. In answering the problems above, this study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach. Furthermore, this research will describe the phenomenon of radical movements and acts of terrorism in Indonesia and analyzes early prevention efforts that can be carried out by the Government. The results showed that there were two patterns of the spread of radicalism in Indonesia, first, through non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the formation of study groups. Furthermore, preventive action could be carried out by providing an understanding of state defense through Civic Education. In this lesson, the students are given an understanding of the basic values of state defense, so radicalism threat can be prevented early.Keywords: Radicalism, Terrorism, State Defense, Higher Education, and National Security

Abstract.TEACHERS’ LEADERSHIP STYLES: TEENAGE STUDENTS’ POINT OF VIEWStudies on leadership styles adopted by teachers, in different learning levels and modalities, have become topics for discussion in the academic environment. Several researches relate factors concerning the teachers’ leadership style to low learning levels, conflicts and improper behavior, and prevention to bullying at school. This study aimed at meeting high-school students enrolled in a Brazilian public school, and assessing their perception towards their teachers’ leadership styles. 458 students and 47 teachers participated in this research, which consisted of a nonexperimental qua-litative-quantitative description. We used three instruments to collect data: the students answered to a Teachers’ Leadership Style Inventory scale and 43 of them attended a semistructured interview; the teachers answered to sociodemographic and working questionnaires. We used descriptive met-hods to generate the analyses, and obtained total scores based on responsiveness, demand and coercive control. Level of significance used was p<0.05. A significant portion of students consider their teachers negligent. The coercive control used by teachers is also significant, reaching 77%, which ranges between “slightly high” and “high”. This study points out that, at school, there is a complexity of factors that may interfere significantly with the expected results, and that allows the assessment of the teachers’ leadership styles from the students’ point of view.Keywords: teenagers; teachers; leadership styles.Resumo.Os estudos sobre estilos de liderança adotados pelos professores, nos diferentes níveis e modalidades de ensino, têm se configurado como objeto de discussões no meio acadêmico. Diversas pesquisas apontam para fatores relacionados ao estilo de liderança de professores, tais como baixo nível de aprendizagem dos estudantes, conflitos e comportamentos inadequados e prevenção ao Bullyng na escola. Este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer e analisar as percepções dos estudantes adolescentes matriculados no ensino médio, numa escola da rede pública de ensino brasileira, acerca dos estilos de liderança de seus professores. A pesquisa foi conduzida com 458 estudantes 47 professores. Consistiu em um estudo descritivo qualiquantitativo, de natureza não experimental. Foram utilizados três instrumentos para coletado dos dados. Os estudantes responderam à escala Inventário de Estilos de Liderança de Professores e 43 deles participaram de uma entrevista semiestruturada; os professores responderam a um questionário sociodemográfico e de trabalho. As análises foram geradas por meio de medidas descritivas. Foram obtidos os escores totais, considerando os fatores responsividade, exigência e controle coercitivo. O nível de significância adotado, para os testes foi p<0,05. Uma parcela significativa dos estudantes considera os professores negligentes. O controle coercitivo praticado pelos professores, também é significativo chegando a 77% entre “tendência a alto” e alto. O estudo indica que, na escola, há uma complexidade de fatores que podem interferir, significativamente, nos resultados desejados e que é possível analisar os estilos de liderança dos professores, a partir do que é percebido pelos estudantes.Palavras-chave: adolescentes; professores; estilos de liderança.

A modification of the Paired-Stimuli Parent Program (Florance, 1977) was adapted for the treatment of articulatory errors of visually handicapped children. Blind high school students served as clinical aides. A discussion of treatment methodology, and the results of administrating the program to 32 children, including a two-year follow-up evaluation to measure permanence of behavior change, is presented.

Summary: This article describes a triarchic analysis of an aptitude-treatment interaction in a college-level introductory-psychology course given to selected high-school students. Of the 326 total participants, 199 were selected to be high in analytical, creative, or practical abilities, or in all three abilities, or in none of the three abilities. The selected students were placed in a course that either well matched or did not match their pattern of analytical, creative, and practical abilities. All students were assessed for memory, analytical, creative, and practical achievement. The data showed an aptitude-treatment interaction between students' varied ability patterns and the match or mismatch of these abilities to the different instructional groups.

Abstract This study follows muscle activity in three different learning sessions (computer, language laboratory, and normal classroom) while students were studying foreign languages. Myoelectric activity was measured in 21 high school students (10 girls, 11 boys, age range 17-20 years) by surface electromyography (sEMG) from the upper trapezius and frontalis muscles during three 45-min sessions. Root mean square (RMS) average from both investigated muscles was calculated. The EMG activity was highest in both muscle groups in the computer-aided session and lowest in the language laboratory. The girls had higher EMG activity in both investigated muscle groups in all three learning situations. The measured blood pressure was highest at the beginning of the sessions, decreased within 10 min, but increased again toward the end of the sessions. Our results indicate that the use of a computer as a teaching-aid evokes more constant muscle activity than the traditional learning situations. Since muscle tension can have adverse health consequences, more research is needed to determine optimal classroom conditions, especially when technical aids are used in teaching.

Abstract. Background: Nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) has been found to be associated with poor emotion regulation. Aims: The goal of this study was to examine the association of multidimensional cognitive emotion regulation strategies with NSSI among adolescents and compare the different patterns of NSSI. Method: A sample of 594 high-school students (54.4% boys; mean age = 14.96 years), from five regional schools across Israel, were assessed for five facets of cognitive emotion regulation strategies (acceptance, refocus on planning, positive refocusing, putting into perspective, and positive reappraisal) and NSSI behaviors using validated scales. Participants were allocated into three groups: repetitive NSSI (more than six occasions of NSSI; 7.1%), occasional NSSI (at least one incident but less than six; 8.3%), and no NSSI (84.6%). Results: Analysis of covariance, controlling for gender and depression symptoms, revealed that students with NSSI reported higher levels of acceptance, but lower levels of refocus on planning and putting into perspective. Limitations: The study used a cross-sectional design, which was a limitation. Conclusion: These findings demonstrate that particular cognitive emotion regulation strategies differ substantially in their relationship with NSSI. Adolescents who focus on planning and putting stressful situations into perspective may have increased resilience, whereas adolescents who are accepting of negative events that have happened may be more prone to maladaptive coping behaviors.

This study examined how social opportunity structure influences identity exploration and commitment of Albanian high school students. A total of 258 students completed a questionnaire that gauged their identity exploration and commitment in three domains: education, occupation, and family. ANOVA results indicated that, overall, students scored highest in exploration in the domain of education and in commitment in the domain of family. Students' exploration and commitment were linked to gender. Albanian female students scored higher than male students in exploration and commitment regarding education and family. Perceived work opportunities in Albania or abroad also significantly moderated participants' exploration in the domain of education and were associated with commitment in education and occupation. As one of the first studies to explore Albanian youth's identity development in relation to social opportunity structure, findings are discussed in light of furthering the field of Albanian adolescent and youth development.
