One of the most important tasks of education of the Russian Federation is the transformation of Supplementary education. The monitoring system is a tool for implementing the state policy in the field of Supplementary education. The urgency of creating a monitoring system that monitors the digital educational environment of Supplementary education of children has been determined. This is based on the analysis of modern trends and directions of modernization of Supplementary education of children. It’s necessary to create a new educational environment and to provide schools with software and hardware systems in the field of life safety. The Purpose of the article is the analysis and identification of the features of electronic information resources for the implementation of blended learning models in the educational process on the «Fundamentals of Life Safety». Research methodology and methods. The methods of theoretical research (analysis and synthesis) of special literature and regulatory documents was used in this article. Conclusion. The investigation of information resources into various areas of life safety for the implementation of blended learning has been carried out. The presented information resources are developed by specialists in their fields and contain high-quality content that meets the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard.

The article presents the experience of organizing the use of wearable electronic devices (fitness trackers) by schoolchildren to solve the problem of low physical activity. The existing methods of motivating schoolchildren to increase the level of physical activity do not give the desired result. Physical education classes in school cannot compensate for the movement deficit. During extracurricular hours, most schoolchildren also cannot organize their physical activity independently and choose sedentary types of leisure. One way to tackle the problem is to encourage the use of fitness trackers. The use of fitness trackers allows the teacher to monitor the level of physical activity of schoolchildren, analyze the achievements jointly, and help organize the physical activity of schoolchildren outside the classroom. To solve the problem, the authors of the article have developed two experimental programs of supplementary education for schoolchildren with the use of fitness trackers. The first program involves the regular, supervised use of fitness trackers in animation training. The second program includes training assignments for assembling and testing fitness trackers in the course of programming training. The second program showed higher efficiency. For the statistical assessment of the results of the educational programs implementation, the Wilcoxon T-test was used. The implementation of educational programs led to increase of the level of physical activity of students by 7–15 %. The authors give recommendations on the use of fitness trackers in the supplementary education system.

Purpose: To evaluate the effects of an educational intervention using an eye drop chart and supplementary education on glaucoma patients’ adherence. Methods: In this multicenter prospective study, medically treated glaucoma patients were educated on the administration of eye drops using an eye drop chart. At the time of recruitment, all of the patients completed a questionnaire on demographic characteristics and adherence. Three months after the initial educational intervention, the patients were randomly divided into two groups: an education group and a control group. The education group received supplementary education. Immediately thereafter and at 6 months, all of the patients completed the questionnaire on adherence again. Changes in instillation behavior, the relationship between the adherence score and demographic characteristics, and factors contributing to an improvement in adherence and intraocular pressure were then analyzed. Results: The adherence scores were significantly higher in patients with fewer medications, a higher annual income and higher educational level, and an urban residence (p = 0.038, p = 0.033, p = 0.041 and p = 0.047, respectively). Education on the administration of eye drops and use of the eye drop chart improved adherence scores from 23.05 ± 3.52 to 21.30 ± 3.95 (p = 0.021) and significantly reduced the average intraocular pressure from 14.3 ± 2.9 to 12.4 ± 3.1 mmHg (p < 0.001). Working indoors (odds ratio [OR] = 5.47, p = 0.032) and supplementary education at 3 months (OR = 4.53, p = 0.030) were also correlated with improved adherence. Conclusions: An eye drop chart is an effective tool for improving adherence and intraocular pressure control in glaucoma patients. Improvement in adherence was especially notable in patients whose work predominantly involved indoor activity. The effectiveness of the eye drop chart was improved by supplementary education.

The one of the main tasks in modern education system is the development of child's personality. In the context of preschool education, the development of a child's personality is carried out during the organization of children's visual activities. It helps to develop preschoolers’ artistic education and becomes one of the most essential conditions for the implementation of state standards. Supplementary education in preschool institutions plays an important role in the artistic and aesthetic development. It gives an opportunity to identify and develop the children’s creative abilities.

Conclusion. The prerequisites for the design of a system’s monitoring for the digital educational environment in the Supplementary education of children in the Russian Federation was investigated. One of the mechanisms for the updating of additional education for children can be the national system of monitoring of the digital educational environment. Significant indicators of the monitoring of the practices of a Supplementary education in the digital educational space was proposed.

The current study seeks to expand our knowledge on extended education and ist potential contribution to social inequality by examining socioeconomic disparities in supplementary education (SE) at college and its impact on labor market outcomes. Using data from the United States Education Longitudinal Study, logistic and linear regressions deliver the following main findings: (1) Socioeconomic status (SES) significantly affects SE participation, net of other factors. (2) With higher involvement in SE activities, neither employment nor income prospects significantly increase. (3) Low SES graduates are slightly more likely to benefit from SE than high SES graduates. (4) Among high-impact SE practices, only internships exert a positive effect on labor market outcomes.

Purpose In speech-language pathology, training in the treatment and evaluation of voice and voice disorders exists at the university level, fellowship level, and in early career opportunities. These opportunities, specifically in voice, are limited, resulting in a highly competitive process for those pursuing a career in voice pathology. This study aims to identify characteristics and trends of clinicians who have started a voice-focused career. Method A 34-question online survey was distributed to early career clinicians, defined as less than 5 years of practice with Certification of Clinical Competence, and clinical fellows with voice patients comprising at least 75% of their caseload. The survey was structured on seven topics: demographics and current clinical practice, application and interview process for clinical fellowship (CF), graduate clinical experience in voice, voice performance background and education, research experience, supplementary education and training, and networking. Results Fifty-six individuals responded to the survey. Over 80% of study participants reported experiences as a voice or singing voice performer, commitments to supplementary training and education, and a graduate clinical placement in voice, all prior to their CF. Fifty-two of the 56 respondents (92.9%) believe there are currently not enough voice-specific CF training opportunities. Conclusions Background in performance voice, obtaining a graduate-level voice placement, and early demonstration of commitment through networking and extracurricular activities are common findings in those successful starting careers in voice pathology. Acquisition of a CF position with specialization in voice and voice disorders is challenging due to the limited number of positions.
