Using one-minute interval data of electric field and the records of rainfall measured at the ground surface, time sequence in the initial registration of precipitation and the onset of cloud electrification was examined for a series of 14 thunderstorms of the year 1973 at Pune to study the relationship between the initial development of precipitation and intensification of cloud electrification. The combined result of the 14 storms studied, each of which yielded precipitation, indicated in-cloud development of precipitation at least 3-7 minutes in advance of onset of cloud electrification. It is inferred from the other supplementing studies published by other workers and from the above result that in most cases the precipitation development in thunderstorms is initiated well before the electric field begins to intensify. This result is in close agreement with the result of previous studies.

White-coat hypertension is a condition when a person’s blood pressure tends to increase only when they are at the doctor's office. In children, blood pressure between the 90th and 95th percentile is labelled as pre-hypertension and above the 95thcentile it is classified as hypertension. The difference between 90th and 95th centiles for both systolic and diastolic blood pressure is only 4 mm of Hg. Methods: Children between ages 5 to 10 years admitted in the children ward of Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India from February to April 2020 included in the study. We record blood pressure by oscillometer 4 times a day, over 4 days of hospital stay and each time two readings were taken at 5 minute intervals. Results: During 4 days of hospital stay blood pressure varied widely. In addition  second reading of BP were always less than the first reading BP,  but second readings data also varied widely just as first readings. Conclusion: White coat’ hypertension is the phenomenon where BP is exaggerated by act of measuring BP. This is initiated by anxiety. Children are particularly susceptible and distressed by the circumstances of hospitalization, stranger anxiety and fear to painful intervention. We should take multiple readings before reach a conclusion of hypertension.                  Key words: Blood pressure, White-coat Hypertension, Ambulatory BP, Hypertension

Objectives: The aim of this study is to propose a new wave protocol to identify low-frequency oscillations for evaluating resting energy expenditure (REE) and compare its performance with the 5-minute interval abbreviated protocol and standard protocol. Research methods & procedures: Consecutive 20-minute indirect calorimetry (IC) was used to collect metabolic data from 23 women and 37 men (between 23 and 43 years old). Sliding window filter algorithms were used to eliminate noise. Three protocols were used to evaluate REE: averaging the data between two consecutive waves (wave protocol), averaging the second 5-minute intervals (interval protocol), and averaging the last 15-minute REE (standard protocol). Results: Based on 60 healthy participants' metabolic data, compared with the interval protocol, the wave protocol showed better consistency with the standard protocol. The mean bias (limits of agreement) using the wave protocol was 0.3458% (-7.817% to 8.509%), and that using the interval protocol was -1.720% (-16.06% to 12.62%). The time required to evaluate REE with the wave protocol and interval protocol was measured. The measurement time for the interval protocol was 10 minutes, while the average measurement time for the wave protocol was 9.75 minutes. Conclusions: We recommend the wave protocol for estimating REE in healthy people. This abbreviated protocol can identify low-frequency oscillations and consider individual differences to more accurately reflect the baseline REE compared to the interval protocol. Compared with the standard protocol, the measurement time of the wave protocol was reduced by nearly half (from 20 minutes (standard protocol) to 9.75 minutes).

This study investigated the nature of learners’ positive emotional engagement during a task-based interaction and its relationship with their interactional behaviours. Vietnamese learners of English as a foreign language (EFL; n = 74) performed a communicative task in dyads in 15 minutes. Their positive emotional engagement was gauged using an Experience Sampling Method via a questionnaire that the participants completed after every five-minute interval of the interaction, capturing three timepoints of learners’ emotional engagement. Learners’ cognitive and social interactional behaviours were examined in light of the amount of second language production (words and turns), language-related episodes (LREs), and the degree of collaboration. Results showed that learners’ positive emotional engagement fluctuated over the course of a 15-minute interaction. Also, learners’ levels of positive emotional engagement were positively correlated with the amount of second language production and the degree of collaboration, but these relationships varied across the three intervals. No relationship was observed between learners’ emotional engagement and LREs. The results indicate that although learners’ positive emotional engagement may not be linked with their attention to form, relationships exist between learners’ positive emotional engagement and their language production, as well as their social relationships. These relationships can be, however, subject to change over the course of a short interaction.

Introduction: An accurate measurement of blood pressure (BP) is critical to diagnosing and treating hypertension (HTN). Manual office BP (MOBP) often results in higher readings than automated office BP (AOBP). In previous studies, a repeat MOBP by a physician resulted in a lower BP than the initial MOBP by nursing staff. We evaluated our hypothesis that a repeat MOBP by a physician is statistically equivalent to AOBP. Methods: In an ambulatory outpatient setting, patients were roomed and at least a 5-minute interval lapsed before an AOBP was performed using a Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor. The physician was blinded to the AOBP. The physician then entered the room and obtained a MOBP with a manual aneroid sphygmomanometer. The difference between the AOBP and the MOBP was calculated. A Wilcoxon signed rank sum test was used to determine if a significant difference between AOBP and MOBP exists. Results: A total of 186 patients (112 females, 74 male) had BP measured with a mean age of 66 years. AOBP resulted in a median systolic BP (SBP) 136 mmHg (IQR 121-150 mmHg) and median diastolic BP (DBP) of 78 mmHg (IQR 72-85 mmHg). MOBP SBP had a median of 132 mmHg (IQR 120-142 mmHg) and DBP had a median of 76 mmHg (IQR 70-81 mmHg). SBP and DBP were significantly lower in the MOBP group with a mean difference between AOBP and MOBP of 4.0 and 2.7 mmHg respectively (p-value of <0.0001). Conclusions: Repeat MOBP performed by the physician resulted in a significantly lower BP compared to AOBP. The lower BP may be due to an overall longer interval between the AOBP measurement and MOBP measurement. MOBP may be a viable option for accurate diagnosis and treatment of HTN clinics without access to a AOBP machine.

The indoor air pollutants in student hostel room during eight different conditions were evaluated.One minute interval of TVOC, CO2, CO, O3 concentrations, temperature and relative humidity weremeasured inside a vacant hostel room of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Four fan speeds of 0, 1, 3 and5 and the installed window being open and close were selected as the basis to determine thecondition inside the hostel room. Result suggested that the concentrations of indoor air pollutantswere below the maximum permissible values outlined by Industrial Code of Practice on Indoor AirPollutants except for O3, with maximum concentration are 576 ppb (TVOC), 666 ppm (CO2), 4.4ppm (CO) and 90 ppb (O3). The hourly trend of TVOC and CO2 concentrations with peakconcentrations were observed in the morning (8 a.m.) due to outdoor traffic emission which greatlyinfluenced the indoor pollutants variation. Meanwhile, O3 showed some delay in time to reach peakconcentrations that were observed at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. Result indicate that the conditions set upwere incapable in the regulation of indoor pollutants variation since these pollutants are moredependent with the source of emission and destruction factors.

Bitcoin is the most profitable in the cryptocurrency market. However, the prices of Bitcoin have highly fluctuated which makes them very difficult to predict. This research aims to discover the most efficient accuracy model to predict Bitcoin prices from various machine learning algorithms. Using one-minute interval trading data on the exchange website name is bit stamp from January 1, 2012, to January 8, 2018, some different regression models with sci-kit- learn and Keras libraries had experimented. The best results showed that the Mean Squared Error (MSE) was as low as 0.00002 and the R-Square (R2) was as high as 99.2 Percentage.

Aim. Blood pressure (BP) determination in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients remains challenging due to its high inter-measurement variability. The novel methodology of precise beat-to-beat BP determination may be used to guide the hypotensive therapy selection and adjustment, but along with that provides additional opportunity for the investigation of hemodynamics in patients with chronic AF.Material and method. The study sample consisted of 60 patients with the main diagnosis of grade II-III arterial hypertension; 30 of those were on sinus rhythm and 30 had chronic non-valvular AF. In all patients HR was within the limits recommended for left ventricular ejection fraction of >40%. Beat-to-beat systolic, diastolic, and pulse BP (SBP, DBP, and PBP, respectively) assessment at each heart beat within 15 minute interval was performed with “Kardiotekhnika-SAKR” system (NAO “Incart”, St.Petersburg, Russia).

ObjectivesThough exposure to alcohol imagery in films is a significant determinant of uptake and severity of alcohol consumption among young people, there is poor evidence regarding the content of alcohol imagery in films in low-income and middle-income countries. We have measured alcohol imagery content and branding in popular Indian films, in total and in relation to language and age rating.DesignIn this observational study we measured alcohol imagery semiquantitatively using 5-minute interval coding. We coded each interval according to whether it contained alcohol imagery or brand appearances.SettingIndia.ParticipantsNone. Content analysis of a total of 30 national box office hit films over a period of 3 years from 2015 to 2017.Primary and secondary outcome measuresTo assess alcohol imagery in Indian films and its distribution in relation to age and language rating has been determined.ResultsThe 30 films included 22 (73%) Hindi films and 8 (27%) in regional languages. Seven (23%) were rated suitable for viewing by all ages (U), and 23 (77%) rated as suitable for viewing by children subject to parental guidance for those aged under 12 (UA). Any alcohol imagery was seen in 97% of the films, with 195 of a total of 923 5-minute intervals, and actual alcohol use in 25 (83%) films, in 90 (10%) intervals. The occurrence of these and other categories of alcohol imagery was similar in U-rated and UA-rated films, and in Hindi and local language films. Episodes of alcohol branding occurred in 10 intervals in five films.ConclusionAlmost all films popular in India contain alcohol imagery, irrespective of age rating and language. Measures need to be undertaken to limit alcohol imagery in Indian films to protect the health of young people, and to monitor alcohol imagery in other social media platforms in future.
