Multimodality – multimediality – multicanality etc. Alternative forms of the transmission of information as a problem of linguistic theory and terminology Summary: The article is devoted to the problem of multimodality, popular in modern linguistics and seen as an interaction within the same discourse of different methods of encoding and decoding information. The authors proceed from the premise that the existence of alternative plans of the expression of messages is due to the heterogeneity of their content, as well as the existing predisposition of the types of content (semantic or pragmatic) to a certain way of explication. The multimodal approach is considered in the context of the mediatization and technologization of social communication. The authors show a significant variability of the terminology in this area and explain the difficulties associated with the use of some terms. A separate section of the article is devoted to the general typology of modular message architectonics, which takes into account (as forms of meaning representation) different levels of the linguistic organization of a message, different channels, different codes, different media devices, different languages and different (parallel) messages.

In the article, the authors note that at present, especially in the field of education, the already existing processes of the development of new content thinking under the influence of Internet technologies are being actualized, as well as the need to develop reflection, starting from an early age of children and in artificial intelligence. The purpose of this article is an analytical study of the changes taking place in the thinking of consumers of Internet technologies. The authors note that in the current conditions of accelerating scientific and technological progress and the development of global information networks, qualitative changes are taking place in the mental activity of a modern person. The article examines topical issues related to the development of a new type of thinking – content thinking, conditioned by web technologies. The authors examined in detail the Internet technologies Web 3.0, Web 4.0 and their influence on the psychological content of the ontological foundations of human life on the basis of the methodological principles of the consistency of determinism and development. The authors identified the main characteristics of Web 3.0 and Web 4.0 content: semantic structure, cooperativity, clustering, ample opportunities for consumer self-expression, self-developing basic personal content, self-correcting system, effective and convenient information management, accessibility, simplicity and maximum convenience, development and use additional opportunities, human resource management in the current time mode, crystallization, the presence of the maximum possible consumer protection. The authors have shown the influence of Internet technology 3.0, 4.0 on the psychological content of the ontological foundations of human life, including new content thinking. The method of such thinking is synthetic deduction and the method of developing such thinking is the method of “synergetic deduction 3.0” developed by us.

This article investigates the wartime poetry and prose by Borys Humenіuk dedicated to the current war in Eastern Ukraine started in 2014. Being of different genres, his works are marked by common through associative and figurative lines. Emphasis is placed on the ways of verbalization of the philosophy of war as an author’s interpretation of concrete sensory images provided by the artist as a direct participant in hostilities. There are two main associative and figurative lines, i.e., war — man — nature and life — death. The actualization of the military lexicon in the Ukrainian writing style is emphasized. Emphasis is also placed on the stylistic functions of a national and general cultural set of symbols (words) which reveal archetypal semantics in the structure of metaphorical and epithetical images. This article discusses such individual features of Humeniuk’s language creativity as an actualization of stylistics of a numeral, number, and digital code. Humeniuk’s poetic and prose language contains lyric-epic characteristic features. The epithets and metaphors of end-to-end associative image lines have been imprinted by the sublingual stylistic category of subjectivization. Linguosophy of man and war actualizes archetypal associative and figurative components, sacred, folklore, and surrealist (mythogenic) semantics of real phe nomena. The epithets and metaphors of Humeniuk’s Poems from the War and 100 Short Stories about the War created and united the military, socio-political, and intimately lyrical segments of the Ukrainian language picture of the world. These verbal and figurative mechanisms actualized the concrete sensory content, semantic, conversational casual and ironic, filling of certain cross-cutting lines. Humeniuk’s language attracts attention by expressive individual worldviews, the characteristic structural diversity of epithetics, intellectualized metaphors, which interact comprehensively and create deeply psychologized pictures of life during the war. Keywords: language of fiction, through associative-figurative lines, metaphor, epithet, numeral, wordsymbol, archetype.

The research is aimed at identifying the role and determining the function of the text message header of the university’s corporate website. The work purpose is to consider and describe linguistic features of the corporate website texts nomination not only as one of the main structural components of its content, but also as a verbal unit that performs an attractive function for the addressee and at the same time positioning function of the university in the educational market. We attempt to define the notion of “language attraction” and its pragmatic setting. The texts’ headlines are analyzed in term of grammatical diversity, lexical content, semantic positioning, emotive content and argue the point of view that they act as translators not only of information about the university’s activity content, but also attracts the university positioning in the segment of educational institutions.

The article discusses the features of the activities of an author and recipient at different stages of the communication process in the perception of a scientific text. Studies of the peculiar influence of the language code on the perception of information in the context of the communicative act of the author of the message and the recipient in the modern information society are among the most relevant nowadays. Creation of a scientific and technical message and its publication are aimed at effective perception of information and achieving a certain linguistic influence of the author of the message on the consciousness of the recipient through the display of the peculiarities of the author's way of thinking. The beginning of scientific communication is the need for certain information of recipients. The response to this need is the proposal of necessary information by the author. The information needs of the recipients form the subject matter and content of scientific and technical communication. The author of the scientific message chooses the most convenient way and channel for the transfer of information to the recipient, and the recipient searches for the necessary information in the most optimal way and channel. The coding of the message usually corresponds to the coding of the informational need of the recipient. The context of the informational message for the author includes the main purpose of creating the message, and for the recipient, the satisfaction of the informational need. For the author, the text is a way of transmitting the message, and for the recipient, it is a source of information. The linguistic activity of the author is focused on the effective satisfaction of consumers’ information needs and on achieving a certain influence on the consciousness of the recipient. The main means of communication is the language of the message of scientific and technical orientation, which expresses its main content, semantic content, logical structure of the information component, which facilitates the process of decoding and assimilation of the message. The structure of a scientific and technical text depends on the genre and target audience. The genre can be viewed as a way of influencing the recipient's consciousness.

<p>Many studies have been devoted to bilingualism but issue of subjective representations about bilingualism has been little explored. The present study examined the results of the psychosemantic research of men’s and women’s subjective representations about people associated with the foreign language (FL) learning process, in other words, artificial bilingual (AB) development. The original method of Specific semantic differential was used to study and reconstruct the system of meanings that underlie the interpersonal perception of people included in the FL learning process. Results showed that the semantic spaces of subjective representations about people associated with the FL learning process, have the same dimension, but differ in content: semantic space for males is based on factors “authority – ordinariness”, “unpleasant – agreeable” and “courage – caution”; for females – “enthusiasm – apathy”, “unpleasant – agreeable” and “modesty – arrogance”. The novelty of the study lies in the use of the pool data method as a method for comparing factors of the structures of two samples, which allows us to identify gender differences in interpersonal perception: males perceive people included in the FL learning process as more active, responsible, mobile and hardworking, females - as more level-headed, indifferent and distant.</p>

The present paper provides a review of two research topics that are central to geospatial semantics: information modeling and elicitation. The first topic deals with the development of ontologies at different levels of generality and formality, tailored to various needs and uses. The second topic involves a set of processes that aim to draw out latent knowledge from unstructured or semi-structured content: semantic-based extraction, enrichment, search, and analysis. These processes focus on eliciting a structured representation of information in various forms such as: semantic metadata, links to ontology concepts, a collection of topics, etc. The paper reviews the progress made over the last five years in these two very active areas of research. It discusses the problems and the challenges faced, highlights the types of semantic information formalized and extracted, as well as the methodologies and tools used, and identifies directions for future research.
