Pedagogical universities are in the area of great attention from the society and the state because of their increasing role in forming the human capital of the territories. The purpose of this article is to explain the necessity and possibility of creating a mission and strategy for the development of pedagogical universities in (macro) regions on the basis of a post-non-classical understanding of pedagogical education. Methodology and methods: to construct the mission of the pedagogical university, claiming to play an active role in the ecosystem of education in the region, the post-non-classical methodology was used in understanding pedagogical education as an open, system-synergetic approach (ecosystem as its kind), as well as the typical of the post-non-classical methodology, methods of reconstructing the experience of designing an open pedagogical education in a heterogeneous (academic and teaching) professional community. Research results: three missions of the regional pedagogical university are characterized: education, research and impact on society, from the standpoint of the ecosystem approach and the concept of an entrepreneurial university. A pedagogical university acts as a key element of the ecosystem if it demonstrates an entrepreneurial type of behavior, overcomes resource constraints due to the dominance of the third mission over education and research, subordinating them to the task of creating a cohort of agents of change – vanguard groups of future a working teachers in the territory. Conclusion: the missions of the pedagogical university should be subordinated to the influence on the entire pedagogical corps of the region by increasing the density of connections in educational and professional communities.

The aim of the article is to analyze the dominant speech behavior of groups of parliamentarians, depending on the national and cultural specifics of the sender of the text, using the methodology adopted in Implicit Pragmalinguistics. The text of each speech is divided into small syntactic groups, which in Implicit Pragmalinguistics are considered the standard units of the analysis. In total, more than three thousand such units were analyzed during the study period. The material for the study of the politicians’ speech behavior was the texts of the speeches of 20 politicians speaking in English and Russian, presented in the period from 2019 to 2020 in their national parliaments, the British Parliament and the State Duma. The analysis shows that the majority of politicians are distinguished by a dominant type of behavior, which is expressed in the manifestation of a bright individuality. A successful politician is always a talented leader and organizer who has the prevalence of character traits that are associated with independence, decisiveness, authoritarianism and focus not only on himself/herself, but also on the audience. All selected groups of the politicians showed great confidence in what they are talking about, which indicates the signs of a successful and professional leader. In the course of a comparative analysis, we came to the conclusion that dominance in the speech of the politicians is manifested differently and depends on the nationality of the parliamentarians. Thus, the Russian-speaking politicians of both sexes confirm their collectivist cultural orientation in speech behavior, and the British generally follow the principles of individualism; the Russian-speaking female politicians are a little more categorical and confident in their speeches than the English-speaking ones.

Wastewater treatment demands management of influent conditions to stabilize biological processes. Generally wastewater collection systems lack advance warning of approaching water parcels with anomalous characteristics, which could then be diverted for testing or pre-treatment. A major challenge in achieving this goal is identifying anomalies against the complex chemical background of wastewaters. This work evaluates unsupervised clustering methods to characterize “normal” wastewater characteristics, using >17 months of 10-min resolution absorbance spectrometry data collected at an operating wastewater treatment facility. Comparison of results using K-means, GMM, Hierarchical, and DBSCAN clustering shows minimal intra-cluster variability achieved using K-means. The four K-means clusters include three representing 99% of samples, with the remaining cluster (<0.3% of samples) representing atypical measurements, demonstrating utility in identifying both underlying modalities of wastewater characteristics and outliers. K-means clustering provides a better separation than grouping based on factors such as month, precipitation, or flow (with 25% overlap at 1-σ level, compared to 93, 93, and 83%, respectively) and enables identification of patterns that are not visible in factor-driven grouping, e.g., shows that summer and November months have a characteristic type of behavior. When evaluated with respect to wastewater influent changes occurring during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, the K-means approach shows a distinct change in strength of diurnal patterns when compared to non-pandemic periods during the same season. This method may therefore be useful both as a tool for fast anomaly detection in wastewaters, contributing to improved infrastructure resilience, as well for providing overall analysis of temporal patterns in wastewater characteristics.

: For a long time, proteins were a subset of molecules rarely applied as therapeutically active molecules. Some of the first applications of proteins as drugs have been insulin and vaccines for supply a physiological deficiency and the prevention of diseases, respectively. Nowadays, proteins have increased their range of application, not only as drugs but also as drug delivery systems to be administered by different routes. Due to their nature, proteins show different behavior while the conditions of the environment are modified. For this reason, it has been necessary to study their behavior for predicting the correct manufacturing, storing, or combination with other possible molecules in a formulation or into the body. The application of techniques for predicting the behavior of proteins in different environments has led to associate this type of behavior into the body with the occurrence of diseases such as celiac disease or Alzheimer's disease. Thus, this work shows an overview of the main types of proteins applied as active therapeutically molecules, proteins-based drug delivery systems, and techniques for predicting their stability into the storing container and the body.

AbstractPerceiving potential indicators of a person’s willingness is an integral component of sexual consent. Preliminary qualitative evidence using vignettes suggested that consent perceptions can change over the course of a sexual scenario. In the present study, we extended previous research by directly comparing momentary and retrospective sexual consent perceptions using a quantitative study design. Employing a staggered vignette protocol, we examined participants’ (n = 962; 72.0% female) momentary perceptions of fictional characters’ sexual consent and compared them with participants’ retrospective perceptions of the characters’ consent. We hypothesized that participants would demonstrate a hindsight bias in that they would retrospectively indicate they thought the fictional characters were first willing to engage in sexual behavior earlier than when they did momentarily. We found that differences in participants’ momentary versus retrospective perceptions of characters’ sexual consent varied by the type of behavior. As we expected, participants demonstrated a hindsight bias for making out. Contrary to our hypothesis, participants were hesitant to retrospectively report that the characters were willing to engage in the other sexual behaviors (e.g., oral, vaginal, anal sex) at a point earlier than their momentary perceptions. That momentary and retrospective sexual consent perceptions significantly differ corroborates previous recommendations that sexual consent be conceptualized as an ongoing process.

Abstract The paper presents the results of a study to explore the influence of different behaviors of rams bred by crossing the Prekos and the Edilbay breeds on the technological properties and quality of meat and meat products. It was found that the meat from rams of the first, strong, type of behavior has the best technological properties and got a high tasting rating – excellent quality. Meat processing has kept the brand, the best quality product “Pressed Boiled Lamb” is also produced from the meat of rams coming under a strong type of behavior.

The objective of this systematic review was to identify the overlapping and unique aspects of the operationalizations of negative work behaviors (NWBs) to specify a new integrative definition of NWB. More specifically, we examined (1) how many operationalizations and conceptualizations of NWB can be identified, (2) whether these operationalizations can be categorized into facets, i. e., the nature of NWB, harm, actor types, and roles, with subcategories, (3) what the meaningful overlap in these operationalizations was, (4) whether the operationalizations tapped unique and meaningful elements, i.e., positive labels and dynamic processes, and (5) how the overlapping and unique elements of the operationalizations could be integrated into a new theory-based research model for NWB for future research. In the literature search based on the Prisma framework, Pubmed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar, we identified k = 489 studies that met the inclusion criteria of our review. The results of these studies revealed 16 frequently studied NWB labels, e.g., bullying and aggression. Many of these could be categorized in the same way, namely, in terms of the type of behavior, type of harm, and type of actor involved in the NWB. In our new definition of NWB, we integrated the content of the overlapping and meaningful unique elements of the 16 labels.

The article conducted a comparative analysis of the blood services’ logos, identified the features of their constituent elements for the new logo’s development or existing logo’s rebranding, and suggested ways to increase their efficiency. It was found 100 logos of various blood service establishments on the Internet, in particular on the official websites of the establishments and official pages on social networks, 43 of them – Europe (12 of them – Ukraine), 13 – Asia, 19 – South and North America, 15 – Africa, 10 – Australia and Oceania. There were explored the following aspects: symbolic and font elements in the logo, the colors used and their quantity, the main messages of identity, and regional differences. There were used general scientific analytical methods and analogies and prototypes to obtain practical results during the study. This study indicates that most blood establishments in the region are characterized by combined compositions in logos – a combination of the font with a visual component but with a fairly direct connotation. The most popular colors in the blood service are red, blue, black, and white font. Logos most often use 2 colors (except white), less often 1 or 3. The following blood service symbols are most often used: a drop of blood, heart, cross, person, and hands. There is also a circle, a crescent moon, a pelican, a star, and a butterfly. They stimulate a certain type of behavior and affect feelings. The results of this research allow to create a good separation from competitors and several times increase the marketing performance of the newly formed organization or existing. Blood service institutions can use this study’s results to rebrand the organization and organizations’ owners to develop the future brand’s identity.

Several idiosyncratic and genetically correlated traits are known to extensively influence leadership in both domestic and wild species. For minor livestock such as camels, however, this type of behavior remains loosely defined and approached only for sex-mixed herds. The interest in knowing those animal-dependent variables that make an individual more likely to emerge as a leader in a single-sex camel herd has its basis in the sex-separated breeding of Canarian dromedary camels for utilitarian purposes. By means of an ordinal logistic regression, it was found that younger, gelded animals may perform better when eliciting the joining of mates, assuming that they were castrated just before reaching sexual maturity and once they were initiated in the pertinent domestication protocol for their lifetime functionality. The higher the body weight, the significantly (p < 0.05) higher the score in the hierarchical rank when leading group movements, although this relationship appeared to be inverse for the other considered zoometric indexes. Camels with darker and substantially depigmented coats were also significantly (p < 0.05) found to be the main initiators. Routine intraherd management and leisure tourism will be thus improved in efficiency and security through the identification and selection of the best leader camels.
