The aim of this study was to assess the personal experience and attitudes of Slovenian pet owners regarding cannabinoid (CBD) use and to identify the predictors of the first use and reuse of CBDs in dogs and cats. We hypothesized that positive attitudes toward CBDs, postmodern health values, and personal experience would be significant predictors of CBD use in animals. An open online survey targeted randomly selected Slovenian dog and cat owners, regardless of their experience with cannabis products. The questionnaire consisted of six sections related to demographic data and personal experience with CBD use, information about the participant's animal, experience with CBD use in the participant's animal, reasons for not using CBDs in their animal, attitudes toward CBD use in dogs and cats, and postmodern health values. Descriptive statistics were performed to analyze demographics, personal experience with CBD use, and experience with CBD use in dogs and cats. Hierarchical multiple regression using the enter method was performed to analyze the important predictors of CBD use. A total of 408 completed questionnaires were included in the statistical analysis. A substantial proportion (38.5%) of owners had already used CBDs to treat their animal. Positive attitudes and previous personal experience were significant (p < 0.05) predictors of first use and reuse of CBDs in pets, while postmodern health values were not. In conclusion, the decision to use CBDs for medicinal purposes is based on acquired information and personal experience. Veterinarians should be informed and familiar with CBDs as a treatment option. However, further research is essential to establish the use of CBDs in veterinary medicine. Improved laws and regulations are also needed to ensure that only high-quality medications are prescribed to dogs and cats.

Abstract Since ancient times, sheep`s milk cheeses have been a part of a human diet. Currently, their consumption is of great interest due to its nutritional and health values. The aim of the article was to review the chemical composition of sheep’s milk cheeses and its main bioactive ingredients in the context of nutritional and health values. Sheep’s milk cheeses are rich in functionally and physiologically active compounds such as: vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, terpenes, sialic acid, orotic acid and L-carnitine, which are largely originate from milk. Fermentation and maturation process additionally enrich them in other bioactive substances as: bioactive peptides, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) or biogenic amines. Studies show that sheep’s milk cheese consumption may be helpful in the prevention of civilization diseases, i.e. hypertension, obesity or cancer. However, due to the presence of biogenic amines, people with metabolic disorders should be careful of their intake.

Anti-smoking advertisements have great importance of value orientation and enlightening function, the visual design of anti-smoking advertisements can not only guide the formation of public health values through visual communication, but also promote the integration of economic and social benefits between media and tobacco enterprises. As an important category of visual language, Chinese calligraphy can form the natural fusion together with the linguistic features of visual design to be widely used in design practice. Being affected by the aestheticization of daily life at different levels, the functional fit between calligraphy "writing" and design "transmission", and the aesthetic contemplation on calligraphy "style" and design "meaning transmission", both become the new form for the aestheticization of daily life. From the perspective of life aesthetics, with the relationship between calligraphy art and contemporary visual design to be re-examined, in terms of the design of anti-smoking advertisements, calligraphy has realized the creation and transcendence of seeing "the ideal" from "the existence" in the application of visual design, thus forming the intention of reconstructing people's life value system in the current cultural context with "beauty", which is just the "human-oriented" design.

The paper is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of “sanitary-genetic identity” of adolescents, which is the value self-determination of a forming personality, coupled with an attitude towards achieving psychological health. In previous works, we presented an integral model of psychological health, which includes emotional, regulatory-volitional, cognitive-creative, reflexive-acmeological and socio-communicative components. Based on the presented model, we have developed and carried out a methodology for studying sanitary-genetic identity, which allows us to study the values of psychological health, the current and prospective sanitary-genetic identity of adolescents. The study involved 119 adolescent schoolchildren of St. Petersburg. It was found that adolescents are aware of the value of psychological health, predominantly identify themselves with a group of peers who exhibit constructive behavioural patterns, and also demonstrate targeted health-forming and health-preserving attitudes. The most problematic for girls are emotional patterns of psychological health, which at the same time have a high value for them. The cognitive-creative component of psychological health (interest in cognition, study, creativity) has a low value for boys in comparison with other components, both in the designation of values and in the structure of sanitary-genetic identification. The conducted factor analysis made it possible to single out the key value-self-identification factors of the psychological health of adolescent schoolchildren.

The objective of the present study was to examine the associations between residents’ physical activity, health values, and well-being during isolation. On the basis of the physical activity rating scale, health values scale, subjective well-being scale, and the satisfaction with life scale, we collected 505 valid questionnaires online from 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in China. A series of multiple linear regression models were established to study the relationship between variables, and the bootstrap confidence interval was selected to test the mediating effect. The results showed that during the period of isolation, physical activity directly (b = 0.463, p < 0.001) or indirectly (b = 0.358, p < 0.001) had a positive impact on residents’ well-being through the mediating effect of health values. There was a positive correlation between physical activity and health values (b = 0.710, p < 0.001), while health values had a direct positive association on well-being (b = 0.504, p < 0.001). In addition, a moderate amount of physical activity was found to be more associated with the well-being of residents during home isolation compared to small and large amounts of physical activity. This study shows the importance of residents’ physical activities in home isolation. Moderate exercise at home and regular physical activity are beneficial to our physical and mental health, especially in terms of improving overall well-being.

The aim of our research was to assess whether and to what extent the perceived change in the content of selected ingredients in dairy products is important for Polish consumers in accepting the enhancement of the health benefits of dairy products, including yogurt. The data were collected using a CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interview) survey on a sample of 983 consumers. The logistic regression model was used to predict the behavior of consumers associated with their willingness to accept the health aspects of improving dairy products. The results indicated that changes in the level of selected ingredients enhanced the willingness to accept increasing the health value of the product. The socio-demographic characteristics of the participants were not associated with the degree of their willingness to accept the improvement of the perceived health attributes. Practitioners in the dairy industry and policy makers can benefit from these results. When designing food products, it is worth focusing on increasing the nutritional value and enhancing the health value of food that is perceived by consumers as generally possessing positive health benefits, rather than on food that is perceived by them as possessing negative qualities.
