Language is a social phenomenon and changes with the development of society. Neologisms are new words and new expressions which are the cutting edge of language. Neologisms are being invented or introduced every day to express new things and new ideas in society. Scholars usually discuss neologisms from two perspectives: the time perspective and the semantic perspective. Neologisms can be classified according to their functions, their coinage processes, their formation, and their sources. There are three main methods of new word creation: neologisms by rules of word-formation; neologisms by adding new meanings to existing words; neologisms by borrowing words from other languages. Even a single method is quite productive in new word creation.

This paper uses the panel data of Chinese commercial banks to analyze the impact of credit asset-backed securitization on the profitability and liquidity of Chinese commercial banks. The results show that there is a significant negative correlation between asset-backed securitization and the profitability of commercial banks in China. The main reason for this phenomenon is that China’s credit asset-backed securitization is still in the pilot stage. The main purpose of asset-backed securitization is not to improve the level of profitability, but to broaden the financing channels, in addition, the high transaction cost of asset-backed securitization is also an important reason. However, there is no significant correlation between asset-backed securitization and the liquidity of commercial banks in China. The reason is that although asset-backed securitization can make the future income of banks cash in advance, considering the efficiency of capital use and the rationality of assets and liabilities, banks will use these funds to make new loans, which reduces the liquidity of banks.

Post-colonialism, as an academic discipline, analyzes, explains, and responds to the cultural legacy of colonialism and imperialism. The Irish American writer Frank McCourt won a Pulitzer Prize for his 1996 memoir Angela’s Ashes, a tragicomic memoir of the misery and squalor of his childhood. Later in 1999, he authored ‘Tis, which continues the narrative of his life, picking up from the end of Angela’s Ashes and detailing his life after he returned to New York. Being mostly analyzed within the framework of personal growth or feminism, Frank McCourt’s memoir, therefore, has been regarded as a motivational life story. Within the postcolonial context, however, his memoir can be interpreted from a quite different perspective. Although Ireland has never been a colony of America, certain critical concepts from post-colonialism can be applied to the exploration of the identity formation of Frank McCourt.
