Background:Assistance dogs support humans with different physical disabilities: 1. Service dogs for people with diverse mobility impairments 2. signaling dogs for humans diagnosed with diabetes, hearing impairments, seizure, or posttraumatic stress disorder 3. guide dogs for people with visual impairments. Definitions and terms are not consistent over Europe; Austrian terminology is used in the following. These specially trained dogs support people in their everyday lives and make it possible that less help is required from personal assistants or caregivers. Diverse studies show this positive impact of assistance dogs on the quality of life of disabled people. There are just a few case reports from United States about service dogs for people diagnosed with any inflammatory rheumatic disorder. Dogs are trained individually for about 1.5 years before team training and the concluding team assessment through Austrian authorities take place. Since 2015, there has been an adapted legislation for service dogs in Austria which brings significant improvements in many areas. In comparison to the model set by Austria, there is no corresponding legal basis at EU level or in other European countries.Objectives:Case-report about my own situation diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) in 2001 and my service dog May. May supports my every day live in private and business affairs since 2019Methods:May was trained for less than two years before team assessment. May is able to pick up things I dropped. These include coins, my key, my mobile phone, clothes, towels and lots of other things I want her to pick it up for me. May opens and closes doors, empties the washing machine, pulls the laundry basket and even helps me put on and take off clothes. In general, she carries many things which I instruct her to carry. I am able to learn her more new things in a short time. Furthermore May acts safe on public transport and even airplanes. Due to special training May is allowed to move without dog leash or muzzle. A muzzle or leash would handicap the dog’s work. As a result of May’s help I need less personal assistance.Results:May’s physical and psychological support gives me greater independence and increases my self-confidence. She was trained to specifically meet the needs of my disability. Beside her skills, May helps to reduce pain and burden of arthritis.Conclusion:My aim is to spotlight the great support of service dogs to severely affected arthritis patients. Austria had realized legislation for assistance dogs to guarantee certain permissions the owner’s needs (e.g. access to working place, hospital). Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is defined as an interruption of enamel formation due to genetic inheritance. To prevent malfunction of the masticatory system and an unaesthetic appearance, various treatment options are described. While restoration with a compomer in the anterior region and stainless steel crowns in the posterior region is recommended for deciduous dentition, the challenges when treating such structural defects in mixed or permanent dentition are changing teeth and growing jaw, allowing only temporary restoration. The purpose of this case report is to demonstrate oral rehabilitation from mixed to permanent dentition. The dentition of a 7-year-old patient with AI type I and a 12-year-old patient with AI type II was restored under general anesthesia to improve their poor aesthetics and increase vertical dimension, which are related to problems with self-confidence and reduced oral health quality of life. These two cases show the complexity of dental care for structural anomalies of genetic origin and the challenges in rehabilitating the different phases of dentition.

This study aimed to analyze various ICT-based media and learning resources used in learning Arabic, the selection or development process, the process of using it in learning, and the learning outcomes. Research data collected from observations, documentation, and interviews were validated with FGD and analyzed with interactive models. The results of this study show that; (1) the most widely used media in learning Arabic is powerpoint presentations with LCD and language laboratories, then video, audio and games, (2) the process of selecting developing media and learning resources is done by design and by utilization, (3) the process of utilizing media and learning resources is done more for the delivery of material at the core activities in addition to enrichment and assignment, and (4) media and learning resources for Arabic-based ICT that use material from native speakers have a positive impact on improving the motivation, self confidence, and Arabic competence of students.

Indonesia is a region that is frequently hit by disasters, especially the earthquake because of geological factors. Earthquake in 2006 in the region of Yogyakarta and Central Java still has problems to this day, the basics of the economy has not fully recovered , disabled people coud not work as usual, people experience a variety of stressors such as income and material stress and emotional stress. The aimed of this study was to find out the effect of cognitive and religious intervention to cope with stress of disaster. The subjects of this study were people in Bantul who exposed to stress due to disasters such as disability and individuals who have low self-confidence because of disabilty. The method of the study was a responsive action research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, focus group discussions, psychoeducation and training. The study found that cognitive and religious intervention has positive impact on recovery of the subject, for example increase on self-confidence of individual and decrease in the mean of SUD (subjective unit disturbances) score of familie’s subject member. The interventions were usefull to improve the future intervention of disabled persons and people who experience stress of family member’s disability.

Psychiatric service dogs compensate in terms of social and physical cognition for people who suffer from chronic post-traumatic stress, reassuring them with their canine behavior in public places, at home and in relationships interpersonal skills with strangers. There are no certification and standards for schools that train service dogs in Canada and the United States. Does the fact that training is different from one school to another have an impact on the effectiveness of the assistance dog for his master? To identify all aspects that closely reflect tertiary prevention, this exploratory case study documents the processes and services supporting the assignment of service dogs to veterans with PTSD and the subsequent follow-up conducted at various dog training schools; and it evaluates and compares the processes and services in place. The case study included four data collection methods involving 31 veterans, 7 school delegates, 7 trainers and 23 dogs. Qualitative content analysis and all the information collected was rated according to the Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) and Assistance Dogs International (ADI) criteria. Results indicated a TDF-scoring across 12 domains ranged from 6/24 to 16/24. The schools moderately reflected ADI-standards. Tertiary prevention recommendations were proposed for dog trainers to better address the domains that needed improving at the time of the study (knowledge about PTSD, beliefs about capabilities, behavioral regulation, environmental context and resources, beliefs about consequences, nature of behaviors).

The teacher needs to increase skills and knowledge of independence as a form of self-development that can be obtained through training. Training is one of the effective methods in a short time that has a positive impact. The principles in the training include participation, repetition, relevance, transference and feedback. This research aims to describe the implementation of training activities to make questions for SDN 1 Kuluran teachers and to find out the effectiveness of the training on the skills of making questions for SDN 1 Kuluran teachers. This type of research was a semi-descriptive quantitative research. The populations in this study were all teachers of SDN 1 Kuluran, consisting of 12 people. The data analysis used in this study was the T test. The test used the SPSS 21 application. The results of the study show that the training stages include introduction, connection, application, reflection and extension. Some points that must be considered in research are preparation, allocation and time consistency, participant activity (speaker as facilitator), and a conducive environment. The significance value obtained based on the results of the pretest and post test is 0.00 <0.05, which means that the training is effective in the skills of making questions of teachers at SD Kuluran.

The article examines the socio-demographic characteristics of the rural population in the context of identifying factors of fight against rural poverty. Based on empirical analysis is proven that the increase of the educational level of rural population is the most effective method for fighting rural poverty. This factor has a positive impact not only directly but also indirectly through the increase of social adaptability, self-confidence, increase of productive self employment, etc.

The problem and the aim of the study. Most undergraduate students at last year of university have anxiety to seek for the future job. Looking for job and moving to new chapter of their life is often accompanied by anxiousness and generates psychological stress. The purpose of this paper is to indicate the role of university, specialization and employment expectation in decreasing the students’ anxiousness. Research methods. The main method of this research is quantitative approach by using surveys. Data were collected by surveying of 400 students at the last year of university distributed under three categories: medical science, natural science and social studies in Yogyakarta city, Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used to select students based on their specialization of study. Regression path analysis was employed to examine the role of university, specialization and possibility of employment on decreasing the students’ anxiety in finding suitable job. Results. The Results indicate that university has no direct role in helping students get job but has indirect impact on shaping students’ knowledge, skills and self-confidence to prepare them for future job and this leads to negative and significant impact on students’ anxiousness with (β = -.138 and -.260; p < 0,01) respectively. Specialization has negative and significant impact (β = -.207, -.198; p < 0,01) for medical and natural science students and low negative and significant (β = -.018; p < 0,01) for social science students on their anxiety. Finally, employment expectation for most of the students was fair and has positive impact on their anxiety (β = .012, .090 and .124; p < 0,05) respectively. Conclusion. This research revealed the increasing impact of Covid-19 pandemic to the students’ anxiety due to continuous influence of the virus during the 2020. Theoretical, social and practical implications have been discussed as part of this research as well.

The rapid and accurate identification of pathogens responsible for sepsis is essential for prompt and effective antimicrobial therapy. Molecular technologies have been developed to detect the most common causative agents, with high sensitivity and short time to result (TTR). T2 Bacteria Panel (T2), based on a combination of PCR and T2 magnetic resonance, can identify directly in blood samples Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterococcus faecium, and Acinetobacter baumannii pathogens. This study evaluates the role of T2 in the diagnosis of sepsis and its impact on patient management, specifically in terms of TTR and the switch from empirical to directed therapy, comparing results of blood culture (BC) and T2 assay in 82 patients with sepsis. T2 significantly improved the detection of the causative agents of sepsis. For pathogens included in the panel, T2 sensitivity was 100% (95% CI 86.3–100.0), significantly higher than that of BC (54.8%, 95% CI 36.0–72.7). The TTR (median, IQR) of positive T2 (3.66 h, 3.59–4.31) was significantly shorter than that of the positive BC (37.58 h, 20.10–47.32). A significant reduction in the duration of empiric therapy and an increase in the percentage of patients with switched therapy was observed in patients with a positive T2 result. In conclusion, T2 can shorten and improve the etiological diagnosis of sepsis with a positive impact on patient management.

Abstract The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Reiki (as well as the effectiveness of Physical Activities) on relatively healthy individuals (not hospital patients), members of a sample of 338 volunteers, and to confirm whether practicing Reiki contributes to psycho-emotional stabilization, having a beneficial impact on mood and emotional wellbeing. For the first time, a positive confirmation of Reiki was carried out in Ukraine. The respondents were divided into two main groups: non-Reikists (individuals who did not practice Reiki) and Reikists (individuals who practiced or taught Reiki). It was found that, in comparison with non-Reikists, the results obtained by Reikists were twice as good, showing higher levels of emotional comfort, less anxiety/dissatisfaction, and more optimism, energy and self-confidence. At that, senior pupils and university students of psychology performed worse. This study confirms that the practice of Reiki is a quickly healing, stimulating, long-term, and cost-effective technique, positively influencing to positive well-being, mood and psychosomatic responses.

AbstractBackground and aimsChronic pain is a common reason to seek health care. Multimodal rehabilitation is frequently used to rehabilitate patients with complex pain conditions. The multiprofessional assessment that patients go through before entering multimodal rehabilitation may, in itself, have a positive impact on patient outcome but little is known regarding patients own view. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to discover how patients experienced this multiprofessional assessment project.MethodsTen patients participating in a multiprofessional assessment at a primary healthcare centre in Western Finland were interviewed using a semi-structured interview. Qualitative content analysis was used to analyse the interviews.ResultsThe analysis resulted in six categories of participant description of their multiprofessional assessment experiences and the rehabilitation plan they received. Feeling chosen or not quite fitting in was a category describing participant feelings upon starting the assessment. They expressed their thoughts on the examinations in the category more than just an examination. Being affirmed described participant desire to be taken seriously and treated well. Receiving support described the perceived roles of the team members. Participant negative experiences of the assessment were described in confusion and disappointment. Finally, in taking and receiving responsibilities, participants described their own role in the team.ConclusionsExperiences of patients in a multiprofessional assessment were mostly positive. This highlights the value of a team assessment that takes several aspects of chronic pain into account when assessing complex patients.
