Developing a holistic and accurate delay analysis software is still challenging the current delay analysis practices. Most of the existing delay analysis techniques are not programmed and still depend on manual calculations. The currently available computerized delay analysis techniques are still limited, suffer from many drawbacks, and do not consider many of the delay analysis situations. This paper introduces web-based software called total float management (TFM) software for analyzing delay claim utilizing TFM delay analysis technique. The TFM technique depends on day-by-day analysis, which gives more accurate analysis over other techniques. The software has the ability to import schedule data from Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (MS project) software in various formats. This feature makes analysis easier and reduces the time required for data input. Many other features are included in the TFM software, such as the ability to address concurrent delays, change orders, and acceleration events.

Purpose Delays represent one of the most critical factors that affect the cost of a construction project. They have to be therefore analysed comprehensively using appropriate techniques. The purpose of this paper is to find out the delay analysis techniques (DATs) that are most commonly used in road projects in Sri Lanka, the extent of their usage, the criteria that can be used in selecting them and the technique that is most appropriate for the selection. Design/methodology/approach The research methodology adopted included an extensive literature review, expert interviews and a questionnaire survey. Findings In road projects in Sri Lanka, five types of DATs are mainly used. The “As-planned v. As-built Analysis” technique is the most commonly used technique while “Window Analysis” is the least used technique. Out of the nine criteria identified for selecting a DAT, the most important criterion is the acceptability of the technique to courts and tribunals. “Window Analysis” was found to be the most appropriate DAT that can be used in road construction projects in Sri Lanka. Originality/value “Window Analysis” can be recommended as the most appropriate DAT for road projects in Sri Lanka.

The method of delivering learning by orally as well as giving a note in the form of copy or note, is less successful in time and is not maximally obtained by a student. The purpose of this research is to produce practical and effective learning media used by teacher and student at vocational high school. Web-based learning media using model 3.11.3+, which is applied to the domain and hosting. The type of this research is R&D (research & development), and the product development models are 4D; define, design, develop and disseminate. The instruments used are questionnaire, material, practically and English questions. The subjects of research are teacher and student of SMK Pratama Padang. Data analysis techniques are product validity testing, practical analysis technique and product effectiveness analysis technique. The levels of practicality of the product are 85 (teacher’s respondent) in the practical category and 81.99 (student’s respondent) in the very practical category. The level of product effectiveness based on the gain score reached 0.45, in the medium category.

The Sor and Gebba watershed has undergone several natural and anthropogenic changes, as evidenced by the physical alterations and artificial mismanagement of water resources in the watershed. These situations alter the underground storage aquifer contribution to the streams. Thus, understanding baseflow of the watershed enables us to identify the groundwater system potential and dynamicity. The main objective of this research is to estimate baseflow using several hydrograph analysis techniques as there was neither an organized groundwater resources research carried out at the watershed level nor studies on various methods on estimation of baseflow contribution to these streams. Hence, this research involves estimating baseflow from daily streamflow data using the manual hydrograph analysis technique, Flow Duration Curve (FDC), timeplot, Web-based Hydrograph Analysis Tool (WHAT), the US Geological Survey Groundwater Toolbox (USGS GW Toolbox), and the Baseflow index program (BFI+). The analysis result shows that most automated filtering techniques used with presumed parameters have estimated above-average baseflow compared to the FDC and the manual hydrograph analysis techniques. Moreover, FDC and manual hydrograph analysis resulted in a below-average value of underground storage aquifer contribution to streamflow. The BFI values are proportional for the Sor and Gebba streams and estimated about 33% for the entire watershed.

This study aims to test and determine whether empirically through valid data, intrinsic motivation and pesantren regulations have an effect on the satisfaction of students both partially and simultaneously. The method used by researchers is a survey method with a correlational approach to the santri of Manahijusadat Islamic Boarding School in Lebak, Banten. This type of research is quantitative, therefore the data analysis technique used is statistical analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistical techniques and inferential statistics. As for the means of collecting data through a questionnaire to 100 respondents from class III MTs Manahijussadat Islamic Boarding School, interviews and documentation. The results of the research hypothesis test showed that there was a positive and significant influence of intrinsic motivation on student satisfaction with a percentage of 17.8%. Second, there is a positive and significant effect of Islamic boarding school regulations on the satisfaction of students as indicated by the percentage of influence of 25.5%. Third, there is a joint positive and significant effect of intrinsic motivation and pesantren regulations on student satisfaction by 32.6%

Abstract IR-OBIRCH (Infrared Ray – Optical Beam Induced Resistance Change) is one of the main failure analysis techniques [1] [2] [3] [4]. It is a useful tool to do fault localization on leakage failure cases such as poor Via or contact connection, FEoL or BEoL pattern bridge, and etc. But the real failure sites associated with the above failure mechanisms are not always found at the OBIRCH spot locations. Sometimes the real failure site is far away from the OBIRCH spot and it will result in inconclusive PFA Analysis. Finding the real failure site is what matters the most for fault localization detection. In this paper, we will introduce one case using deep sub-micron process generation which suffers serious high Isb current at wafer donut region. In this case study a BEoL Via poor connection is found far away from the OBIRCH spots. This implies that layout tracing skill and relation investigation among OBIRCH spots are needed for successful failure analysis.

Local structural problems in ships are generally the result of stress concentrations in structural details. The intent of this paper is to show that costly repairs and lay-up time of a vessel can often be prevented, if these problem areas are recognized and investigated in the design stages. Such investigations can be performed for minimal labor and computer costs by using finite-element analysis techniques. Practical procedures for analyzing structural details are presented, including discussions of the results and the analysis costs expended. It is shown that the application of the finite-element analysis technique can be economically employed in the investigation of structural details.
