In the framework of this article, we focus on the features of teaching/learning of French language for special purposes by teachers of the Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy: the diversity of the public (age, previous experience of learning foreign languages, specialization), specific need, etc. Then, we will focus on the difficulties that the teacher and students encounter while learning French for special purposes, on ways and methods to overcome the obstacles that impede the achievement of the objectives. French for special purposes has certain features that all teachers must know to make this type of courses successful. Specific needs are one of the main characteristics of the FOS audience. The audience mentioned above does not want to learn French, but French for professional activities. For example, teachers of the Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy aim to teach their subjects in French to French-speaking foreign students so that the learning process is as clear to them as possible, and so that the latter have the opportunity to master professional terminology in their native language. . Any FOS program developer must take into account the difficulties faced by a specialized audience (limited time, classes after work, the need to move to the place of training, etc.). Awareness of these obstacles helps to find solutions to overcome the above problems. Our research aims to offer solutions to overcome difficulties of all kinds, providing the possibility of distance learning. From our experience in this field, it seems to us quite possible, even effective, to offer it remotely, provided we take a common approach.

What communicative skills are required to develop at pupils/students who learn a foreign language and the strategies of their lessons?; Linguistic competences and their communication role; Communication and the importance of interaction; Oral communication in teaching / learning French language, in the French and Italian language department, in “Aleksandër Xhuvani” university, Elbasan.

Summary The ability to communicate in several foreign languages, recognize and understand cultural differences and effectively interact in a multicultural environment has become vital in the modern world that faces intense globalization processes. Linguistic and intercultural competences are essential not only for establishing personal relationships with foreigners but also for developing successful business relationships. At the Institute of Foreign Languages at Vytautas Magnus University (hereafter - VMU IFL), Spanish and German languages remain in the top five of the most popular languages among 30 languages available to students. These languages are chosen not only by Lithuanian students but also by foreign students who come to study in Lithuania. Most exchange students who come to study at VMU choose to study the Lithuanian language as well. In addition to the development of language skills in a learning process, the new concept of language teaching / learning, market trends and the great interest of students and the public in languages lead to the development of topics related to culture and intercultural communication and efforts to reveal peculiarities of the new culture in the common European and native country context. Based on the theories of different authors on the connection between culture and language and intercultural differences, the article discusses the possibilities of using commercials (video recordings of advertisements) to get acquainted with the culture in foreign language lectures. A comparative analysis of examples selected from commercials available online and revealing certain cultural aspects of the three countries (Spain, Lithuania and Germany) that allow to understand the target culture better is presented in this article. The aim is to reveal how a teacher, knowing the theories of cultural differences, can use commercials for the development of students’ linguistic and also cultural and intercultural competences.

Introduction. The purpose of this article is to present an extended analysis of specifics of hybrid learning of a pedagogue in the aspect of novel value educational dominants in the frameworks of recurrent/ continuous education that finds itself at a unique moment that the public school system, as it is currently being constructed, simply isn’t delivering on its promise of educational excellence for all children, and both future and current teachers – particularly for those in the underserved COVID-19 pandemic circumstances of totality of distance and e-learning formats. Materials and methods. State and regional documents on the national project ‘Education’, and its innovation initiatives, concepts and programs of educational and methodological complexes for both primary school, and international languages for both primary and secondary schools, are under consideration in this opus for methodological and theoretical substantiation of the comprehensive model of distance and e-learning that is considered a new approach that brings an improved result and is intended to prove the prior philosophical message of this research study concerning the possibility to create entirely new architectures within the existing architecture of the current system of advanced training and professional retraining of educators. The methods of critical analysis, statistics, and classification, modeling and programming, content analysis, search and longitudinal experiment, questionnaires, interviews, linguistic testing, diagnosis and teaching/learning /forming stages are intended to improve student/teacher achievement results. Results of the study. This research includes several stages that cover the following positive outcomes of the comprehensive model under consideration and discussion: 1) both monitoring and neutralizing regional professional deficits, 2) both creation and correction of modular additional educational programs for teachers that cover Pedagogy, Knowledge Content and Technology of distance and e-learning in the aspect of axiological approach, 3) favorable educational spaces to perform facilitation function of the tutors in full. Finally, the article presents a series of recommendations designed to encourage the teachers who can improve the learning conditions of the innovative educational context building new virtual spaces through different platforms that give grounds to serve an existing population in radically different ways, and to find ourselves at a unique moment of broad consensus with the public. Conclusion. Based on the analysis of current philosophy and methodology of training and retraining of educators in the aspect of their professional skills and competences, the authors of this study confidently state that the learners find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists, and innovation in education merely is not for the sake of novelty but it is intended to increase student/ teacher achievement results Keywords: pedagogue, distance learning technologies, e-learning, methodological support, upgrading, novel value educational dominants, cultural self-determination of an individual (CSD)

Resumo: O objetivo deste artigo é primeiramente chamar a atenção para a importância dos relatos de Histórias de vida de atores envolvidos no espaço da escola pública como abordagem de investigação e de formação a estudantes de língua francesa da Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia. O texto apresenta os diferentes termos advindos na corrente de construção de espaços de vida e de narrativa no universo das Ciências Humanas: biografia, autobiografia, histórias de vida. Em seguida, reflete-se sobre as extensões da prática biográfica, através do estado da arte, para, finalmente, chegar no domínio de pesquisa e prática do ensino-aprendizagem de línguas estrangeiras, mais especificamente de língua francesa. Fundamentam este estudo obras organizadas por grupos de trabalho brasileiros e franceses. Finalizamos com a apresentação de nosso projeto de pesquisa-ensino-extensão aplicado em Porto Seguro, Bahia, integrando os atores da escola pública, estudantes da universidade e Histórias de vida.Palavras-chave: histórias de vida; ciências humanas; integração escola-universidade; língua francesa.Abstract: The aim of this paper is firstly to call attention to the importance that reports on life stories of actors involved in the public school realm have as an investigative approach to training French language students at Southern Bahia Federal University. The text shows different terms coming from the thread of research built upon life spaces and narrative within the Human Sciences: biographies, autobiographies, life stories. Then we ponder over the extensions of biographical practice, through the state of the art, in order to finally reach the research and practice domain of foreign language teaching-learning, specifically, French. The study is based on references organized by Brazilian and French work groups. We conclude with the presentation of our research-teaching-extension project applied to Porto Seguro, Bahia, which integrates the actors of public schools, university students and life stories.Keywords: life stories; human sciences; school-university integration; French.

The article is devoted to one of the advanced formats of foreign language teaching at high school, which effectively complements extramural and full-time forms of education – distance learning. The author emphasizes that the quality and effectiveness of foreign languages distance learning athigher educational establishments depends on effectively organized course; the pedagogical skills of teachers, participating in the educational process; the quality of applied methodical content.The main principles of foreign languages distance learning in higher education has been covered, the means of improving the quality and effectiveness of this educational format has been proposed, the key conceptual regulations of foreign languages distance learning has been determined. The article proposes a model for organizing foreign languages distance learning course for future specialists, describes a system to control and monitor the knowledge of all types of speech activities. It is also noted that independent work in the foreign languages distance course at high school should not be passive, but on the contrary, the student should be involved in active cognitive activities, not limited to acquiring foreign language skills, but necessarily includes their practical application; to solve certain communicative tasks in the future professional activity.The article concludes that in the process of organizing the foreign language distance learning course at high school, it is necessary to take into account not only the didactic characteristics and functions of multimedia and telecommunications as a technological basis, but also the conceptual trends of didactic distance learning as a component of modern education. The anthropological literature on transplant, though theoretically and ethnographically rich, does not address religion in any substantial way. And while bio-ethical considerations of transplant regularly address religion, treatments are generally circumscribed to a list of various faith traditions and their stance toward organ transplant. Such a presentation reduces “religion” to the world’s recognized faith traditions, “religious actors” to the official spokespersons of these traditions, and “religious belief” to moral injunctions. The objective of the thesis was to illuminate the prominent place of religion in the lived experience of transplant recipients and donors, in the public policy and professional activities of transplant officials, and in the transplant discourses of North America

The paper focuses on the problem of students` universal skills development while teaching foreign languages for professional communication. Ways to enhance efficiency of teaching/learning are proposed and tested among the students specializing in “Legal Support of National Security”.

BACKGROUND: The Multidimensional Pain Inventory (MPI) is a widely used tool in the evaluation of pain conditions. This questionnaire has been translated and validated in multiple languages. However, there is no validated French-language version available for clinicians and researchers interested in evaluating people living with pain.OBJECTIVES: The main objective of the present project was to make available a validated French-language evaluation tool for the cognitive, behavioural and emotional aspects of pain.METHODS: Following a reverse translation of the MPI, a French-language version of the questionnaire, theInventaire multidimensionnel de la douleur, that was presented to 227 participants living with chronic pain, was obtained. These participants were all involved in a rehabilitation program in four different settings. A series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses was executed.RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS: Although three items were removed from the original version of the MPI, the three sections of theInventaire multidimensionnel de la douleurhad good psychometric properties. The results concerning the questionnaire’s structure were very similar to those obtained with the original tool and during its translation into other languages. People wishing to evaluate pain in French-speaking populations now have access to a French-language version of the MPI.

Background. The safe use of medicines largely relies on consumers reading the labeling and packaging carefully and accurately, and being able to comprehend and act on the information presented. We aimed to conduct local study on consumers’ perceptions, attitudes and use of written drug information. Methods. A survey included 200 adults of the public in 13 community pharmacies and one main hospital (the University Hospital) in Tripoli city of Libya, using a structured interview technique. Results. The results showed that 73% of participants read drug labels with variation from always (39.72 %) to rarely (10.95%). About 42.46% of pharmacy customers read the Patients Package Inserts (PPIs) routinely, however; 53.42% of them faced difficulties in understanding the labelling. Foreign languages and small font sizes of written information were the most barriers to participants` comprehensibility (44.69 %, 34%) respectively. The findings indicated that 59 % of the respondents were used to obtain information from pharmacists. Despite the relatively high rate of reading to drug labels among pharmacy customers; more than half of them were unable to interpret information correctly. Conclusion. The study demonstrated the need for the implementation of educational and awareness programs for patients by pharmacists to improve the health literacy of medication labels. Steps must be taken to ensure that medicines in Libyan market are supplied with bilingual and non-technical language labels.
