Study Design: Descriptive technical write-up. Objective: To describe the making of educational videos in 4 simple steps. Methods: There are 4 steps in the creation of an educational video, namely theme and script, preparation and equipment, filming, and postproduction. Results: The authors give details of each step of the video making process, with practical tips from personal experiences, product suggestions, and photo documentation. Conclusion: A 4-step approach to make high-quality educational videos for your patients, residents, and social media platforms is presented.

Non-cisgender and non-straight identity language has long been a site of contention and evolution. There has been an increase in new non-cisgender, non-straight identity words since the creation of the internet, thanks to social media platforms like Tumblr. Tumblr in particular has been host to many conversations about identity and self-naming, though these conversations have not yet been the subject of much academic research. Through interviews and analysis of Tumblr posts, this thesis examines the emergence of new identity words, or neo-identities, used by non-cisgender and non-straight users of Tumblr. The work presents neo-identities as strategies for resisting and challenging cisheteronormative conceptions of gender and attraction, as well as sources of comfort and relief for non-cisgender/non-straight people who feel ‘broken’ and excluded from mainstream identity categories. This thesis also posits that Tumblr is uniquely suited for conversations about identity because of its potential for self-expression, community, and anonymity.

Abstract Introduction The Internet has seen rapid growth in the number of websites focusing on mental health content. Considering the increased need for access to accurate information about mental health treatment, it is important to understand the promotion of this information online. Objective To analyze BuzzFeed’s Mental Health Week (BFMHW) interactions on its own website and in related social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube) using metrics of information delivery in mental health topics. Methods We extracted social media metrics from the 20 posts with the highest number of BuzzFeed interactions on the BFMHW website and from 41 videos available on the BFMHW playlist created by the BuzzFeed Video profile on YouTube. We analyzed the format and content used in BuzzFeed’s publishing methods as well as the following social media metrics: exposure (presence online, views and time online), influence (likes) and engagement (comments, shares, replies and BuzzFeed interactions). Results Analysis of the variables revealed that audience engagement is associated with the number of medias in which the content is published: views on YouTube and shares on Facebook (0.71, p<0.001), total interactions on Facebook (0.66, p<0.001) and BuzzFeed number of total interactions (0.56, p<0.001). Conclusions Our results suggest that videos on YouTube may be an important information channel, including activity and engagement on other medias such as Facebook. Information may be more effective in reaching the audience if it is delivered in more than one media and includes personal experiences, some humor in content and detailed information about treatment.

The scope of the chapter is to discuss changes in usage of digital communication channels before and during the Covid-19 pandemic. Consumers in both industrial and fast-moving consumer goods markets are considered. The chapter comprises a suggestive overview, followed by conclusions on trends expected in digital communication channels usage due to the shifts in consumer behavior caused by the pandemic. Digital communication channels analyzed include websites, sales pages, social media platforms, as well as e-mail marketing, and blogs. Consumers in Generations X, Y and Z, and their preferences for the different communication channels are analyzed. Results indicate an increased interest of all generations for social media, especially following the Covid-19 pandemic. E-mail marketing also remains an important communication channel across all three generations, while the interest in websites and blogs varies. All consumers favor high quality, attractive content displayed irrespective of the communication channel used. Trends identified suggest the interest for online shopping and online engagement with brands will remain sustained after the lift of the various restrictions imposed by the pandemic. It is therefore important that brands ensure a strong online presence and engage with their audiences based on their consumers preferred communication channels.

Social media is a common platform that enables its users to share opinions, personal experiences, perspectives with one another instantaneously, globally. It has played a paramount role during pandemics such as COVID-19 and unveiled itself as a crucial means to communicate between the sources and the individuals. However, it also has become a place to disseminate misinformation and fake news rapidly. Infodemic, a plethora of information, some authentic some not makes it even harder to general people to receive factual and trustworthy information when required, has grown to be a major risk to public health and social media is developing as a trendy platform for this infodemic. This commentary aims to explore how social media has affected the current situation. We also aim to share our insight to control this misinformation.  This commentary contributes to evolving knowledge to counter fake news or health-related information shared over various social media platforms.

Household’s Food security during the Covid 19 pandemic, through the use of yards, can be conducted by the community independently such as hydroponic. However, people's understanding of hydroponic, especially in Pekanbaru, is still limited. Therefore, training for the community is needed as a community empowerment. These activities can be expanded through interesting educational videos. This community empowerment activity aims to increase community knowledge and skills regarding hydroponic technology during the pandemic, and is expected to become a post-pandemic household-scale economic enterprise. This community service activity is carried out by means of training and mentoring, as well as making a video to be widely disseminated through social media. The results of the community service activities show an increase in community knowledge and skills of hydroponic. After the training, the community independently has been aplicating hydroponic technology and biulding hydroponic group. This process is documented as educational video which is useful for the wider community in Pekanbaru City.

This chapter first explores the motivations behind the creation of class as self-authorised sites of popular music heritage — those created and curated by citizen and activist archivists that are devoted to the archiving, preservation, and sharing of popular music heritage. It then turns to the use of social media platforms and the communities of interest that form online and who take a ‘Doing-It-Together’ approach to harvesting vast amounts of popular music materials and memories. Such platforms offer the opportunity or the celebration and sharing of obscure or niche music cultures. However, they also pose issues for their creators and those who may have an interest in participating or studying them. The loss of materials in the rapid ‘churn’; the lack of search, navigation, and retrieval functionality; the potential of technologies becoming redundant; and founders, owners, and administrators losing interest in their sites, all resulting in the loss of substantial numbers of musical memories, are just some of the issues that need to be addressed.

The massive tendency of Generation Z activities on social media should be thought as opportunities for interaction from the education segment. Intake of educational content based on character education is not only in conventionally implemented that can touch the Generation Z, but also in the whole process of learning including the learning media. The purpose of this paper is to offer alternative learning media in the form of educational videos that are interesting, sticky, and creative for students through the contemporary platform, such as TikTok. TikTok application comes with a popular trend that the majority of users are Generation Z. Based on its features that support to produce interesting audio and video learning, it can streamline the learning process. The interesting and entertaining learning nuance of this application is useful for essential and abstract concepts such as Newton's laws to create an interactive learning process in accordance with the characteristics of students.

The phenomenon of fake news has become a much contentious issue recently. The controversy regarding this issue has further been intensified by the openness of social media platforms. Via a systematic review, this paper offers a discussion on the spread and detection techniques of fake news on Social Networking Sites (SNSs). A total of 47 articles eventually fulfilled the inclusion criteria and were coded for the literature synthesis. The overall findings from the literature on fake news and social media have been extracted and synthesized to explore the creation, influence and popular techniques and dimensions used for fake news detection on SNSs. The results showed that various entities are involved in the creation and spread of fake news on SNSs, including malicious social and software agents. It was also found that early registered users, old people, female users, delusion-prone persons, dogmatic persons, and religious fundamentalists are more likely to believe in fake news than other groups of individuals. One of the major problems of the existing techniques is their deficiency in datasets. Therefore, future studies on fake news detection should focus on developing an all-inclusive model with comprehensive datasets. Social media users require fake news detection skills especially using linguistic approach. This study provides the public with valuable information about the spread and detection of fake news on SNSs. This is because SNSs are an important avenue for fake news providers.

Abstract ResearchGate (RG) is one of the most popular academic social media platforms currently available to scientists. Allowing scientists, researchers and academics (SRAs) to network through the creation of a free account. RG provides a virtually unlimited ability for SRAs to share research, contact each other through an integrated platform and share ideas. In recent times, projects have been increasing in scope and visibility, fortifying the RG network status. This paper examines some of the project-related features at RG and points out, within a wider examination of RG and other SRA-oriented academic social media platforms, the existing benefits and risks. The results of this work will allow SRAs to manage and invest their time in a better way.
