11031 Background: 615 fellows began training in American combined hematology/oncology fellowship programs in July 2020. These new fellows face a steep learning curve. The coronavirus pandemic has significantly affected how we learn, with programs having to convert most collective learning to a completely virtual format. Research on the efficacy of introductory lecture series in academic hematology/oncology programs is limited especially regarding virtual formats. We introduced a virtual introductory lecture series with the goal of increasing the clinical confidence and knowledge base of first-year fellows. Methods: A once weekly remotely-delivered two-hour primer series was designed with lectures given by both third-year fellows and faculty from July-August 2020. Fellows were asked to complete pre & post-test evaluations of each lecture. Evaluations included a combination of knowledge-based questions & self-reported confidence assessment. Results: 14 fellows were assigned pre- and post-tests in the study. 1 fellow was excluded due to lack of participation. A total of 123 paired pre and post-tests were compared. Data analysis was performed with SPSS v 24.0 using the paired samples t-test. Pre and post-tests were graded on a scale of 0-100. The pre to post mean difference compares the mean test result of the post tests to that of the corresponding pretests. Questions were divided into 2 groups. The 1st group tested the fellow’s medical knowledge regarding the pathology while the 2nd group tested the comfort in the management, diagnosis and treatment. In the statistical analysis, these questions were defined as “Knowledge” and “Comfort” accordingly, the sum as “Complete”. A statistically significant improvement in post-test knowledge for fellows of all years was noted with a pre to post test mean difference of 12.52, P <.0001. The difference was more pronounced among 1st year fellows with a pre to post test mean difference of 16.84, P <.0001. A similar improvement was seen for the comfort in management questions. The post-test comfort pre to post test mean difference was 10.48, P <.0001 for fellows of all years and 6.70, P <.0001 for first year fellows. Conclusions: A remotely-delivered introductory lecture series for fellows in a hematology/oncology training program increases both clinical knowledge and clinical confidence in fellows of all years of training.[Table: see text]

Allergic Asthma is one among the diseases which imposes a great burden on the subjects by hampering the quality of life of patients, reducing productivity, and causing work absence. The literary search hinted that there are no published works reporting both clinical and immunological(IgE) outcomes in Allergic Asthma. So the present study was a pre and post test clinical study to evaluate the effect of Ayurvedic line of management in inducing both immunological(IgE) and clinical outcomes in Allergic Asthma. In this study 30 patients were administered classical Virecana Karma (drug induced purgation) followed by Shamanoushadi (internal medicine) for 30 days. Statistical Analysis was done using SPSS VER. 20. Wilcoxon signed rank test was used to evaluate the Subjective parameters, in order to interpret the time of significant change. For objective parameters Paired Samples t- Test was used to evaluate the difference of significant change. The results showed improvement in the subjective criteria, objective criteria and the overall effect of the therapy with the exception of no statistically significant results in immunomodulatory (IgE) effect which proves that the particular management protocol adopted is found to be clinically efficant but not effective in inducing changes at the immune level.

The purpose of conducting this research is to examine the difference NGain scores between students who learn vocabulary with Blindfold Game and students who learn vocabulary without Blindfold Game at the first year students of SMP Negeri 13 Kendari. The samples of this research are the first grade four (VII-4) and the first grade three (VII-3) which consists of 27 students for each class. This research is conducted in comparison research design that consists of experimental class (VII-4) and controll class (VII-3). The data of this research are collected by giving pre-test and post-test in two classes (VII-4 & VII-3). The result shows that there is an improvement of the students’ vocabulary achievement. Independent samples t-test shows that, there is a significant difference in the Ngain scores for experimental class ( M = 60.08,  SD = 9.36 ) and controll class ( M = 20.41, SD = 14.56 ), t (52) = 11.904, p (0.000) < 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that the value of Sig (2 tailed) is lower than the significance α value (0.000 < 0.05). In other words, alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. It means that the Blindfold game can enrich students’ vocabulary achievement for Junior High School Student.

The sharia banking expertise program at SMK continues to develop. In Central Java in 2018, there were 50 vocational schools that opened the sharia banking program. However not yet fully supported by the availability of teachers in these competencies. That is because teachers do not come from graduates in the field of finance or sharia banking. That reason is the background of this community service. The partners in this activity are the MGMP Central Java and DIY Sharia Banking, with 44 participants. The form of devotion is the provision of material as well as discussions about Islamic finance filled by presenters from the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Bank Jateng Syari’ah, Islamic Economic Community (MES) and the Indonesia Stock Exchange Representative Semarang. Before the training was started, a pre-test was conducted with an average score of 63.11 for each participant and after the test, a post-test was obtained with an average score of 77.07. Based on the Difference Test (Paired Sample Test) with SPSS it can be seen that the significance value (Sig. (2-tailed)) of 0,000 is less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the competence of Islamic banking teachers before training and after the implementation of sharia financial training.  Keyword— sharia finance, teacher competence, sharia banking, vocational schools  Program keahlian perbankan syariah di SMK terus perkembangan. This article presents the results of a pedagogical experiment when teaching microcontroller programming. The pedagogical experiment was conducted at the Faculty of Information Technology of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in the form of project-based seminars on the Arduino platform (2017-2020). The experiment was attended by 88 first-year IT students. Our goal in this study is to verify the proposed hypothesis on the use of the project-based learning method in teaching microcontroller programming. In the process of conducting a pedagogical experiment, we divided our students into 2 groups: control and experimental. The training of both groups was carried out according to one curriculum, but using different methods. In the control group, traditional teaching methods and learning tools were used, and in the experimental group, we used the technology of project-based learning. As assessment criteria, we took the test tasks “pre-test” and “post-test” that we developed, and conducted a survey for the control and experimental groups. We used statistical methods to confirm or refute the proposed hypothesis of our research, that is, at the end of the pedagogical experiment to get an informed decision about the difference and coincidence of the obtained data.

Pre-analytical phases is a very important stage and need to be considered properly. Pre-analytical phases of which is the process of blood sampling, sample delivery, the inclusion of the type of inspection, sample preparation and selection tools. A fact which still often the case that their neglect by nurses or laboratory personnel in taking and processing the blood samples. Blood samples for examination platelet counts as much as possible is done properly and the sample must be examined in less than 1 hour after taking blood. Delays checks can cause a decrease in platelet count. Delays often occur for over an hour due to the shipment of samples from wards that are not immediately performed or work shift lab personnel. The aim of research to determine the difference in the number of platelets in the blood EDTA is immediately checked and a delay of 1 hour by using KX-21 Hematology analyzer. Experimental study design with pre- and post-test study without control.
