The aging of the workforce leads to a reduction in the able-bodied population, this why serious socioeconomic problems threaten both for the Russian economy and for organizations. One of the possible solution strategies to making working life in later ages longer is to change the policy of managing workers aged 45–50. The revision of many practices in age-managing leads to awareness of the need in new format of relations between employers and age employees known as “business partnerships”, which include the formation of a continuity of generations, the preservation of institutional memory, corporate culture. This approach also contains some risks caused by the peculiarities of the older workers, and Irrational system of personnel management. A systematic and complete definition of risks will allow organizations and employees to avoid threats or create opportunities for their compensation.

Using annual household surveys from 2004 to 2019, we examine the existence of a gender labor income gap among older persons in Peru. Two labor income models are estimated: Model 1 uses a basic set of demographic, socioeconomic, and personal characteristics as regressors (also called endowments); Model 2 uses the basic set plus additional personal characteristics. The Misner‐type relationship holds with positive returns for education and experience, and the anticipated association to the endowments. The Oaxaca‐Blinder decomposition yields an explained labor income gender gap of 44.4% (Model 1) and 51.5% (Model 2), i.e., controlling for endowments, approximately one half of the labor income difference remains unexplained and can be attributed to discrimination and labor segregation. In light of these results, we estimate Model 3 with two additional variables (head of household and beneficiary of intergenerational private transfer) which attempt to capture gendered stereotypes. With these two variables which provide information on gender discrimination the explained labor income gap for Model 3 is 71.1%—an increase of 19.6%. The unexplained component of the difference in labor income amounts to 28.8% that we attribute to unobserved variables that operate as post‐labor market elements in patriarchal societies. Results show that gender inequity during a woman’s life‐span manifests acutely among older women, which raises important implications for policy interventions.

We substantiate the necessity of the student’s self-development ability formation in the conditions of multi-level educational programs implementation in a technical university. We ana-lyze various pedagogical and psychological approaches to the formulation and use in the relevant sciences concept of “self-development of a personality”. We explain the choice of a scientific ap-proach, in which self-development is defined as the process of purposeful activity of a personality in continuous self-transformation, conscious management of your own development, choice of goals, ways and means of self-improvement corresponding to your own life values and attitudes. We define one of the main tasks of technical universities – the task of updating and managing students’ professional education, the result of which is an organically formed personality capable of self-development through self-education and self-upbringing. We formulate external factors (scientific, academic, informational, social and sports bases of the university; research and professional activities at the educational stage; upbringing work under the guidance of lecturers and supervisors; academic work under the guidance of lecturers) and internal factors (factors contributing to students’ self-learning; factors contributing to the self-realization of your own plans and ideas) affecting the readiness for self-development of the future engineer. We substantiate the main external factor – the factor of personal influence of university professors on students’ self-development. Personal characteristics of the main types of technical university teachers are highlighted. We analyze the views of various scientific schools scientists on the problem of lecturer’s personality influence on the formation of self-education and self-development abilities of students.

This article explores the processes of finding a voice, learning to speak, and breaking silence around gender violence for a Kurdish woman endeavouring to resist oppression and destroy forced negative images and identities. It examines the ways in which she struggles to break imposed silences through resisting gender discrimination and telling stories of violence and exploitation, as represented in the Kurdish novelistic discourse in Bahdinan. Studying Sabri Silevani’s Mariama: Kiçe-Jinek ji Zemanek Di (Mariama: A Woman from Another Time, 2007), the article examines the various forms and layers of violence imposed on Kurdish women by the tribal and patriarchal norms and the social and political structures within the post-conflict Kurdish society in Iraqi Kurdistan. The three-fold typological model of violence developed by the political scientist Johan Galtung is adopted in the article to explore the ways in which the personal characteristics of individuals and the political, economic, and cultural structures of society are viewed as factors affecting the generation of gendered aggression. Most importantly, for the purpose of this article, is the significant utilisation of the association of Galtung’s typology with feminist studies of violence in the exploration of Kurdish women’s attempt to resist marginalisation and their struggle for recognition. Moreover, Rita Felski’s description and study of modern writing by women as a medium through which female political identities and collective consciousness are constructed and represented are adopted to discuss the structural and thematic properties of the text.ABSTRACT IN KURMANJITemsîla şideta cinsî ya piştî şerî di gotara edebî ya kurdên Iraqê de li herêma BehdînanEv meqale berê xwe dide merheleyên peydakirina dengî, fêrbûna axiftinê û daşikandina bêdengiya li dor şideta cinsî li cem jineke kurd a hewl dide li hember zextan ber xwe bide û wêne û huwiyetên menfî yên dasepandî ji nav bibe. OBJECTIVE: To verify the prevalence and factors associated with vaccination against hepatitis B among Primary Health Care workers in Montes Claros/MG. METHOD: A cross-sectional, analytic study was undertaken. Data were collected through a form, which contained sociodemographic, occupational, general health and behavioral variables. Associations were investigated through bivariate analysis and Poisson's multivariate regression, using SPSS 17.0. RESULTS: 95.5% answered the question about vaccination; 47.5% did not complete the vaccination scheme. The prevalence of vaccinated professionals was lower among older workers, who were hired, did not participate in occupational health updates and consumed alcohol. Prevalence levels were higher among professionals with more years of education and who reported contact with piercing and cutting instruments . CONCLUSIONS: Professional education, knowledge and perception of infection risks are important determinants of the vaccination scheme. Instability at work may lead to negligence and negligent behaviors may repeat themselves. The characterization of professionals who did not get vaccinated will direct educative actions in occupational health.

Although educational administrators have been aware of the needs of students with disabilities since the 1970s, many are still not familiar with the legal rights of school employees with disabilities. Attitudes toward individuals with disabilities as well as knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) may be factors that influence the recruitment of qualified persons with disabilities into the education profession. The purpose in conducting this study was to determine the extent of the relationship of administrators' attitudes toward disabilities and their knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Respondents in the study were currently employed as educational administrators and/or educators completing educational administration certification requirements. Results from the study indicated there was a significant relationship between attitudes toward persons with disabilities, experience with individuals with disabilities, personal characteristics and employment characteristics. Both attitudes and knowledge of the ADA were found to be lower for respondents in educational administration positions. Educators who have disabilities are valuable to our schools. Their presence can influence the perceptions and attitudes of coworkers and students as well as provide a role model for students to live their lives fully integrated into our society. A creative look at inclusion of educators with disabilities in our rural schools may be the answer to our search for competent and caring special education teachers.
