The article is devoted to the issues of planning and budgeting of mining enterprises. External conditions (mining and geological, mining engineering, weather) have a significant impact on the volume of production of finished products and the amount of conditionally variable expenses of a mining enterprise. A different combination of these conditions during a calendar year leads to a change in the volume of production of finished products per unit of time, which creates uncertainty and complicates the planning and budgeting process. The paper proposes a method for calculating the planned volume of production of finished products, taking into account various external conditions, the limitations (limits) that should be taken into account when calculating the volume of production are disclosed. The methodology is developed taking into account the peculiarities of the technological process of production of finished products (fractional crushed stone) of a mining enterprise. Methodological tools of the research: analysis of statistical data on the industry and individual mining enterprises, analysis of the practical activities of mining enterprises. The factors that have a significant impact on the volume of production of finished products in the mining industry are considered. A three-factor multiplicative model is constructed that allows taking into account the influence of mining, geological, mining and weather conditions on the volume of production of finished products of a mining enterprise.

This paper reflects the problematic situation in the field of risk-management at mining enterprises. It is connected with the fact that not all hired top managers understand the role and importance of the risk management system in the overall management system of a mining enterprise. However, an increase in the number and weight of the consequences of the onset of risk events has recently changed the vision of senior management, business owners and other stakeholders in favor of recognizing the need to create in the structure of mining enterprises, if not separate, specialized structural units, in the form of a risk management service, then at least introduction of a staff unit of a specialist - a risk-manager , who clearly understands what the organization is doing to form and increase the value of a business and how he can influence this, demonstrating his professional knowledge, skills, and even some insight in anticipating future risks of a mining enterprise ... But the economic situation in the region, the country and the world does not allow, due to financial constraints, to fully implement the technologies developed in theory and fixed in practice for the application of methods and approaches to risk management in the mining industry, including the purchase of expensive software products that allow the formation of an effective risk-management system. Therefore, mining risk management professionals need to take full advantage of the potential and benefits of the GRC system, which has existed since 2004, which aims to use a common language and corporate risk management methodology to achieve the company's strategic goals. The results of the studies presented in this paper state that the main risks that the owners of mining enterprises are concerned about are financial risks and operational risks, legal risks, commercial risks and the risk of fraud, as well as natural, environmental and man-made risks, but a significant part of mining enterprises in the region does not have a well-developed risk management system, does not carry out systematic work to identify risks, assess risks and their possible consequences, and therefore: either operate at extreme risk, taking catastrophic risk, or work at the margin of profitability, refusing to accept risks, even there, where you really need it. However, one should proceed from their understanding that technologies in the field of corporate governance of mining enterprises, including risk management, can not only form lines of defence against risks, but also increase the value of a mining enterprise through an effective risk-management system.

Abstract In the article it is proved, that the economic development of any industry depends on the results of the economic activities of the enterprises that are part of it. Based on the available statistical data, we proposed a model for diagnosing the results of the mining industry and conducted a comparative analysis of the results of the study in the context of economic activities. Given the high integration of mining enterprises into the system of intersectoral relations, this problem cannot be solved within the framework of one industry. Therefore, it is proved that, taking into account the existing experience, it requires complex measures: accounts receivable are formed as a result of late payment for delivered products. The main consumers of the extractive industry are: the processing industry, the supply of electricity, gas, air conditioning and transport. They consume more than 87% of the products of this industry in the intermediate consumption market and are the most debtors; on the other hand, these regions are also the largest suppliers of raw materials, materials and semi-finished products for the extractive industry. Therefore, in the end, the accumulation of current accounts payable at the enterprises of the extractive industry for the delivered goods and services is the least desirable for them.

This paper examines the correlation between strong wind and the frequency of small leisure craft grounding by analysing the available data on maritime accidents in the Adriatic. The primary goal of this study was to verify the hypothesis from prior research that strong wind is the prime cause of groundings in certain areas of the Adriatic. Contrary to the conclusions of the prior research, the new analysis indicates a far more uniform spatial distribution of wind-caused grounding accidents across all the examined areas of Croatian Adriatic waters. Furthermore, the analysis indicates that most grounding accidents occur in light wind conditions, suggesting that groundings can predominantly be attributed to factors other than strong wind. Several important drawbacks of the analysis stemming from the lack of accurate data on accidents in Croatian waters are discussed and suggestions given for the improved collection thereof that would greatly contribute to the future research on this topic. The inability to determine the exact causes of particular accidents from available data makes it impossible to accurately establish the number of grounding accidents caused by strong wind. In the future, more detailed statistical data could improve our understanding of the correlation between adverse weather conditions and recreational vessel accidents in the Adriatic.
