The machine-building industry of the Tyumen region is one of the key areas of specialization in the entire regional production complex. The Tyumen industry is in urgent need of products from the local machine-building complex in the conditions of sectoral restrictions and macroeconomic instability, which cause the unavailability of imported machinery and equipment. The state and strategic development of mechanical engineering in the region will also determine the development trends of the industrial sector. In turn, the pace and scale of development of regional production have an impact on the direction and priorities of development of Tyumen engineering. The article reviews the dynamics of statistical indicators that characterize the current state of the machine-building industry in the Tyumen region. Trends in innovation and investment activity of machine-building enterprises are revealed. The foreign economic activity of the sector is studied. The place of the industry in the structure of the regional economy is analyzed.

The article discusses the priority directions of innovative development of the machine-building complex in Azerbaijan. Mechanical engineering as the most important branch of industry is an industry capable of ensuring sustainable and sustainable innovative development of the country's economy. However, in the era of globalization, this area has faced numerous problems. This can be explained by: a shortage of investments; outdated means of basic production; high competition in domestic and global markets; a shortage of qualified personnel, etc. All this makes it urgent to modernize and recreate the machine-building industry of Azerbaijan in accordance with the requirements of the time. Based on this necessity, the article examines the aspects of sustainable economic development of the machine-building industrial complex. At the end of the article, assessing the current state of the machine-building industrial complex of Azerbaijan, strategic directions of its scientifically-based innovative economic development are proposed. The article is devoted to the study of the problems of the development of the engineering industry in the conditions of the development of the neo-industrial economy of Russia. The relevance and importance of the development of the engineering industry as the basic industry for the development of the entire Russian economy is justified. A study of statistical data reflecting the current state of development of the engineering industry has been carried out. Abstract. Introduction. In modern conditions of transformation of the national economy the development of investment activity, which influences the interests of a growing number of enterprises, becomes relevant. Effective implementation of investment activities at the present stage is the basis for the development of Ukraine's economy, ensuring the possibility of its integration into the European socio-economic space, which will further enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and improve the investment climate. Purpose. It has been proved that investment activity requires decision-making on investing financial resources to expand production. It has been established that the investment strategy of any enterprise is an integral part of its overall economic strategy, which allows to fully assess the investment potential for foreign investors. Results. An analysis of business entities based on indicators of investment activity in the selection of strategic development priorities. There are three clusters: first class: normal investment activity; second class: moderate investment activity; and third grade: critical investment activity. The analysis of investment activity of business entities of the machine-building industry in Ukraine indicates the need to attract investment resources. Conclusions. Hierarchies of choice of strategic priorities directions of development for attraction of foreign economic sources of financing have been offered and its economic efficiency has been established. The hierarchy of communication of the choice of directions of strategic development priorities for attracting foreign economic sources of financing has been obtained, which has six levels, where the highest level is to ensure the development and promotion of products of economic entities in international markets. Implementation of 6 levels of the hierarchy of choice of strategic development priorities to attract foreign economic sources of financing of economic entities, these are comprehensive actions that will enhance investment attractiveness in international markets and address some issues related to the development of strategic priorities of economic entities.

Topicality. In the conditions of ambiguity of the situation that has developed over the past years in the economy, each enterprise needs to focus on developing measures to minimize the impact of adverse factors of the external and internal environment, which can be achieved through system monitoring of changes in the situation, as well as the effective management of economic activity Actual increase of the economic potential of the machine-building industry, which will provide good management, will create conditions for timely response to threats and hazards, strengthen the system of economic security of enterprises in accordance with changing environmental conditions. Aim and tasks. The goal of the paper is to investigate and identify the problems of building up economic potential, their impact on the economic safety of the machine-building enterprise, in particular, and on the industry as a whole. In this regard, the task of carrying out a comprehensive analysis of the main indicators of economic capacity building at the enterprises of the machine-building industry, which will be able to identify the main problems and threats to the industry, identify the strengths and opportunities to understand the main problems of building capacity of the machine-building complex to ensure economic security. Research results. The share of industrial innovation and active enterprises according to the types of implemented innovations has been analyzed. The development of economic potential of machine-building enterprises has been researched. The main problems and threats have been outlined for ensuring economic security and development of the industry. It has been established that the investigated branch has a number of strengths and opportunities, which, taking into account the condition of limiting the impact of weaknesses and threats, gives grounds for specific strategies for the development of machine-building enterprises. In the circumstances in the industry there is practically no development potential. Leading companies are working out the development programs that include expansion of production facilities, updating of production equipment, development of scientific base, increasing of consumer properties of released products and also of the one being produced. It must be admitted that this is the only possible way out of the crisis and the transition to the development of the industry. However, the implementation of these programs is complicated by the lack of adequate funding, as most enterprises carry out technological innovations mainly at their own expense. Conclusions. The main problems of increasing the economic potential of machine-building enterprises are as follows: relative non-competitiveness of products in comparison with products of developed countries; unpopularity of products of the domestic machine-building complex in world markets and the absence of world brands; imperfection of investment activity in most enterprises: insignificant level of implementation of development of scientific and technological progress in comparison with potential opportunities in the production of innovative products; significant level of depreciation of fixed assets, a significant lag of the state of fixed assets from the technological level of developed countries; use of outdated technological developments.

The article analyzes the features of professional training of future employees of the machine-building industry in higher education institutions of Ukraine. The existing developments on the research problem and practical aspects of training future specialists in mechanical engineering are analyzed. The object of research is the process of professional training of future specialists in mechanical engineering. The purpose of this article is to analyze the features of professional training of future specialists in the machine-building industry with further identification of problems and prospects for improving the professional training of future specialists in mechanical engineering. Based on the analysis of curricula for bachelors and masters of mechanical engineering, the structure of the study load by cycles of disciplines is established. In particular, the share of humanitarian, natural, professional and practical training of future workers in the machine-building industry is determined. The directions of improvement of professional training of future specialists of mechanical engineering by the analysis and adaptation of general didactic principles concerning definition of the maintenance of education are defined: the account of social conditions and needs of a society; compliance of the content of education with the goals of the chosen model of education; structural unity of the content of education at different levels; unity of semantic and procedural aspects of education; accessibility and environmental compliance. The purpose of the article is to analyse the current state of development of Ukraine’s mechanical engineering, looking at export trends of mechanical engineering products across product groups and the main importing countries. The analysis indicates that Ukrainian exports of engineering products have declined significantly in recent years. The low export orientation of machine-building production is mainly due to the low level of innovation investment, as a result of which the technological development of Ukraine’s machine building industry not aligned with the requirements of the global market. The author indicates directions of machine-building production that can make the Ukrainian industry more competitive in the future arguing that thanks to the current production capacity and technological skills, availability of the labour force, research institutions, opportunities for international cooperation, Ukraine is well-positioned to increase the export potential of the mechanical engineering industry.

In the light of globalization processes at the present stage of development of the Ukrainian economy, domestic enterprises of the machine-building industry faced the problem of increasing their competitiveness in the world market, which in turn contributed to the Activation of their innovative activities. The need of implement measures to increase the level of investment attractiveness of Ukrainian enterprises, determines the feasibility of the analysis of the current state of the machine-building industry. The aim of study is to investigate the role of machine-building industry production in total industrial complex, the research status, the challenges and to identify priorities for further development of engineering in Ukraine that are taking into account the requirements of the Modern market.  Research object. The object of the research is the machine-building industry of Ukraine and its condition in the conditions of world globalization. Methods. Research methods that were used in the process of writing the article - providing for the application of General scientific and empirical approaches to economic science – were based on a systematic approach. The appliance of the dialectical method allows us to highlight the features of modern innovation processes, furthermore, to explore the problems of creating an investment-attractive environment in the machine-building industry of Ukraine.  The traditional method is applied in the study of previous experience chronology of events and facts in the development of the economy of Ukraine.  General scientific systematical and logical methods were also used to obtain research conclusions.  The basis of the information in this paper is on the researches consisted of monographs, scientific articles of domestic, foreign articles, legal activities of the enterprises and data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine. The hypothesis of the study. Continuous monitoring of the current state of machine building in Ukraine and implementation of the results of its practical analysis will improve the investment attractiveness of the industry.  Presentation of the main material. In this scientific article the role of mechanical Engineering as the leading industry of economy of Ukraine is investigated.  Based on statistical data, the dynamics of the main indicators of development of the machine-building industry of Ukraine for 2010-2018 was analyzed. Significant problems of the studied area are Identified, priorities for further development are determined.  The originality and practical significance of this study is to investigate deeply the main problems of investment attractiveness of the engineering industry.  also this study’s main provisions can serve as a scientific basis for the development of machine-building enterprises, in the context of the study of the problems of increasing the investment attractiveness of the industry.  Conclusions of the study. Since Mechanical Engineering is one of the leading industries, it is an indicator of the technical level of the country.  Lack of financial resources at the enterprises through problems such as low speed potential restoration of production in industry were solved. This leaded to braking of the General development of mechanical engineering of Ukraine.  In challenging situations of financial and economic activity, the enterprises of the machine-building industry need support from the State, in particular that needs a part of tax incentives for large-scale projects to modernize production facilities and Provide domestic producers with state orders.  According to the results of the conducted research it can be argued that the main stimulus for the realization of the industry’s potential is the lack of material resources.  Therefore, the solution for problems of increasing the investment attractiveness of industry will insure the further development of machine-building complex of Ukraine.

Introduction. As the industrial sector is of key importance for the economy of Ukraine, the indicators of its functioning are the main factor in the social and economic development of the country. In particular, mechanical engineering is one of the basic sectors of Ukraine's economy and a strategically important sector that affects the development of technological potential and competitiveness of Ukraine's economy as a whole. The level of development of mechanical engineering is one of the main factors that allows to ensure sustainable development of the Ukrainian economy, the level of development of the country depends on its level and dynamics of development. Therefore, the study of the current state of the machine-building industry, the efficiency of machine-building enterprises, identification of current problems will identify tools for recovery and further sustainable development of machine-building enterprises as one of the key sectors of the national economy. Purpose. Analyze the state of Ukrainian machine building, identify the main trends and problems of the industrial complex in modern economic conditions and provide recommendations for their solution to ensure sustainable development of machine building enterprises and increase the level of economic potential of industry. Method (methodology). The research was conducted through the analysis and synthesis of data based on the evaluation of statistical data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine (2010-2019) in order to study the current state of the machine-building industry of Ukraine; tabular and graphical methods for visual presentation of the material. Results. The study confirms the link between economic growth and industrial development. The peculiarities of the conditions of activity of machine - building enterprises are determined. The tendencies of the lag of the Ukrainian industry on level from the developed countries are revealed. The main factors of reduction of production volumes of machine - building branch are analyzed. The analysis of the level of innovative activity of machine - building enterprises is carried out. The main factors hindering innovation are identified. The existing level and structure of capital investments are analyzed. The main destabilizing problems of the machine-building industry in Ukraine are outlined. A conclusion is made and a number of measures aimed at creating conditions for sustainable development of the machine-building industry taking into account the potential and capabilities of machine-building enterprises are proposed.

The current state and trends in developing logistics activities at machine-building enterprises is studied through evaluating the efficiency of financial flows. It is noted that studying the current state and trends in the logistics activities at machine-building enterprises is a necessary condition for the revival of mechanic engineering in our country. It is noted that the machine-building industry has specific features in management, which are associated with high costs for raw materials, energy, transportation, and labor resources. Mostly, products of machine-building enterprises have a fairly long usage (consumption) cycle, and are quite large, so their sale causes problems during periods of economic crisis, in contrast to, for example, food products. It is established that for the industry to undergo sustainable development, it needs to attract capital investments. The general problem with the level of financing, including the machine-building industry, negatively affects the prospects for reorganizing the production cycle, involving innovative technologies, introducing resource- and energy-saving processes in production, complying with environmental management. It is this set of conditions that is the key to making products of Ukraine’s machine-building industry attractive for global market consumers, and therefore, to increasing financial flows. As a result of the study, a methodological approach to evaluating the logistics activities at machine-building enterprises by selected indices of financial logistics is suggested, where the indices can be calculated on the basis of the annual financial statements of enterprises as for their balance (statement of financial position) and financial results (statement of comprehensive income), making it possible to identify both factors influencing the results of the economic activity of machine-building enterprises, and the degree of this influence. The calculated values of the relative efficiency ratios of financial logistics in managing accounts receivable and payable related to product flows can serve as input data to build a mathematical model for forecasting the efficiency of logistics activities at machine-building enterprises in Ukraine
