Raya and The Last Dragon is the latest computer-animated film from Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studio. This animated film, directed by Don Hall and Carlos Lopez, tells the story of the adventures of a woman named Raya in saving the world. This journal article aims to analyze and describe the moral messages contained in the film Raya and The Last Dragon. This research uses qualitative methods, with Roland Barthes semiotics analysis approach, so that ultimately obtained the results of research on what moral messages contained in every dialogue spoken by each character such as moral messages about friendship, cooperation, responsibility, leadership, courage, unity, and most often appears in this film is the power of trust in each other to create unity without division.

The current era, with fertile technology that is increasingly developing, certainly has positive and negative sides. One of the phenomena that shows the negative side of development technologies such as Youtube, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is that many cildren use media gadgets as playmates, so that the child is not controlled is choosing content that is popular in cyberspace, as a reseult the child will further away from values religion, humanitarian values, values justice and moral values. In this article, the researcher describes the prevention of moral decadence for the younger generation, so it is necessary to increase the role of education, especially the role of parents in selecting entertaiment content that contains moral values for children. These efforts are made to prepare the next generation who have knowledge, faith and good character. The writing of this article uses qualitative research with descriptive analysis. The writer in this article uses Roland Barthes’ semiotic analysis model known as “two order of signification”, namely by looking for the denotative meaning the connotation of each scene. From using this method the researcher foumd that the animated film Nussa and Rarra, the episode of prayer must contain values from the concept of Islamic teachings, namely Akidah, Sharia and Moral. If parents are able to nurture and guide by choosing content that educated and implements in life, it is hoped that the child will become a person with character according to the expectation of the nation and religion. This research focuses on answering how Acehnese local wisdom is represented and sees social changes in the community through advertising media. Using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis to find the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myths in TV commercial "The Light of Aceh", this research employs the constructivism paradigm with qualitative methods. The denotation falls in several objects, such as a traditional house Rumoh Aceh as a place for Acehnese people to live, the customs to honor guests and eat together with them as a symbol of friendship between communities, and the Pacu Kude tradition. The connotation of the local wisdom object has been cultured and become the community's identity, then displayed in the advertisement as the result of the construction of the existing reality. This construction is interpreted as a myth that does not necessarily refer to mythology in the ordinary sense. It is traditional stories, legends, et cetera, but rather an explanation of messages with a connotative dimension. The myths found in the advertisements show the social changes taking place in Acehnese society.   Fokus penelitian ini adalah menjawab bagaimana kearifan lokal Aceh direpresentasikan dan melihat perubahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat melalui media iklan. Dengan menggunakan analisis semiotik Roland Barthes untuk menemukan makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos dalam iklan TV “The Light of Aceh”, penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan metode kualitatif. Makna denotasi terdapat pada beberapa objek, seperti rumah adat Rumoh Aceh sebagai tempat tinggal masyarakat Aceh, adat istiadat untuk menghormati tamu dan makan bersama sebagai simbol persahabatan antar masyarakat, serta tradisi Pacu Kude. Objek kearifan local yang berkonotasi telah membudaya dan menjadi identitas masyarakat, kemudian ditampilkan dalam iklan tersebut sebagai hasil konstruksi dari realitas yang ada. Konstruksi ini dimaknai sebagai mitos yang tidak serta merta mengacu pada mitologi dalam pengertian biasa. Ini adalah cerita tradisional, legenda, dan sebagainya, tetapi lebih merupakan penjelasan tentang pesan dengan dimensi konotatif. Mitos yang ditemukan dalam iklan tersebut menunjukkan perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat Aceh.

Aktifitas mengajak ini dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai cara dan menggunakan berbagai media, salah satu alternatif media yang dapat digunakan dalam berdakwah adalah dengan menggunakan iklan.Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui apa sajakah makna tanda yang terkandung dalam iklan digital produk kosmetik Wardah tahun 2018 sebagai media dakwah. Dan juga ingin mengetahui konsep dakwah apayang ditampilkan dalam iklan digital pada produk kosmetik Wardah tersebut. Dengan menggunakan analisis semiotik yang dikembangkan oleh RolandBarthes(kode hermeneutik, kode kulturzl, kode semik, kode proaretik dan kode simbolik,selain inginmengetahui dan memahami iklan sebagai media dakwah Islam juga diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahamandan meningkatkan kesadaran pada masyarakat untuk bersikap selektif dan juga kritis dalam menghadapi informasi yang diperoleh, terlebih juga agar tidak terjadi salah persepsi dalam memahami isi pesan yang disampaikan dalam iklan maupun media yang lainnya.Penelitian ini juga ingin memberikan kontribusi bagi pengiklan yang lain, bahwa iklan Wardah dapat dijadikan referensi dalam mempromosikan produk terutama produk kecantikan dan juga diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan gambaran dan deskripsi dalam memahami dan membacamakna dari konsep dakwah yang terdapat dalam iklan kosmetik Wardah serta dapat menjadi bahan referensi dalam melakukan penelitian tentang semiotika dengan pendekatan analisis semiotik Roland Barthes Abstract:Da'wah is a call to invite people to do amar ma'ruf and nahi munkar. This inviting activity can be done in various ways and using a variety of media, one alternative media that can be used in da'wah is by using advertisements. This research wants to find out what the meaning of the sign contained in Wardah cosmetics digital product 2018 as a propaganda media. And also want to know what the da'wah concept is displayed in digital advertising on Wardah's cosmetic products.By using a semiotic analysis developed by Roland Barthes (hermeneutic code, kulturzl code, semic code, proaretic code and symbolic code, in addition to wanting to know and understand advertising as an Islamic propaganda media, it is also hoped that this research can provide understanding and increase awareness in the community to be selective and also critical in dealing with the information obtained, especially so that there is no misperception in understanding the contents of the message conveyed in advertisements and other media.This study also wants to contribute to other advertisers, that Wardah advertisements can be used as a reference in promoting products, especially beauty products, and it is also hoped that this research can provide an overview and description in understanding and understanding the da'wah concepts contained in Wardah cosmetics advertisements and can be used as ingredients reference in conducting research on semiotics with Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis approach

Da'wah is an islamic syiar Activity that plays an important role in the spread of islam to all corners of islam to all cornees of the world. The development of the times requires da'wah actors to be able to innovate da'wah, there are many methods used to convey da'wah, one of which is Instagram. This study analyzes posts containing da'wah messages usinh Roland Barthes' Semiotic approach. The purpose of  this study is to find out the messages of da'wah contained in the @muslimahtangguh account post.. the type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach, the type of analysis used ia the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes, which is to find out what is behind a sihn. Post or uploads on the Instagram account @muslimahtangguh have a denotatibe meaning, namely the meaning of existing culture, and the meaning of myths, things that develop and are contained then associated with Islamic symbols. The @muslimahtangguh account post also contains da'wah messages in the form of creed, sharia, and morals. The @muslimahtangguh account also has a role in conveying da'wah messages and giving readers a unique and interesting da'wah display that contains religious teachings.

This study aims to represent the meaning of the advertisement using Barthes' semiotic sign map and to describe the meaning contained in the wardah advertisement version of "I am the face of Indonesia". This study uses qualitative methods to describe the object of research in accordance with what was observed and captured from the data obtained. In addition, the purpose of this method is to assist the research process by providing a more accurate picture. The results of this study indicate that the version of Wardah advertisement "I am the face of Indonesia is an advertisement that has motivation and solutions to the problems faced by many women in Indonesia, namely certain insecure (lack of confidence) in its delivery to Indonesian women who are potential consumers of the wardah version" I face Indonesia ”. This advertisement has two interrelated and complementary meanings, namely denotation meaning and connotative meaning. In advertisements, there are choices of signs to represent a phenomenon that is raised until it is interpreted by the public and up to the formation of discourse on the advertisement.

Isu diskriminasi SARA seperti tiada habisnya terjadi di dunia ini, begitu juga di Indonesia. Hal ini mengakibatkan tema-tema tentang SARA menjadi sensitif ketika dibahas atau pun difilmkan. Hal ini mengakibatkan jarang ditemui film yang mengangkat tentang SARA. Lain halnya dengan Walt Disney. Walt Disney baru-baru ini merilis film kartun 3D yang mengangkat tema anti diskriminasi SARA yang berjudul Zootopia. Film ini menjadi menarik karena isu diskriminasi SARA yang diangkat dibalut dengan konsep yang kreatif hingga sensivitas isu SARA tersebut menjadi berkurang. Representasi anti diskriminasi SARA pada film Zootopia ini selanjutnya dikaji dengan metode semiotika Roland Barthes dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan dari analisis, dapat disimpulkan bahwa film Zootopia memuat pesan ideologi tentang anti diskriminasi SARA bahwa kedudukan manusia dimata manusia yang lain pada hakikatnya adalah sama. Setiap manusia berhak dan wajib memperlakukan dan diperlakukan secara bijak tanpa memperdulikan background asal manusia itu sendiri. Penghargaan pada setiap individu tidak didasarkan pada faktor keturunan, ras, suku ataupun agama, namun didasarkan pada prestasi dari individu itu sendiri. Kata Kunci: diskriminasi SARA, Zootopia, Roland Barthes  AbstractThe issue of racial discrimination as an endless happen in this world, so also in Indonesia. This resulted in the themes of SARA be sensitive when discussed or filmed. This resulted in a rare film that raised about SARA. Another case with Walt Disney. Walt Disney recently released 3D animated film that mengangat theme of anti-discrimination SARA entitled Zootopia. This film is interesting because racial discrimination issues raised wrapped with a creative concept to the sensitivity of the racial issues be reduced. SARA anti-discrimination representation on film Zootopia is further studied with Roland Barthes semiotic methods with qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the film contains Zootopia ideology of anti-discrimination message SARA that the position of human eyes of another human being is essentially the same. Every human being is entitled and obliged to treat and be treated wisely, regardless of the origin of man's own background. On each individual award is not based on heredity, race, ethnicity or religion, but is based on the achievements of the individuals themselves.Keywords: racial discrimination, Zootopia, Roland Barthes

This study aims to detail the values of honesty in the animated film "Sahabat Pemberani" part "Main Jujur". The value of honesty is one of the anti-corruption values campaigned by the Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This study uses descriptive qualitative methods with a content analysis approach. The results of this study indicate that the value of honesty has been presented as one of the important anti-corruption messages in anti-corruption education for children.

Dystopia in Film Tiga Liberalism Conditions (Roland Barthes Semiotics Studies about Dystopia on Liberalism in Jakarta in Film Tiga). This study goals is to determine the meaning of dystopian condition of Jakarta in the Film Tiga through the sign, signifier and signified. Three films is a film that adopts Liberal describe the depravity of Jakarta twenty years in the future in 2036. The method used semiotic analysis of Roland 2 Bartes.The object of research is the Film Tiga were directed by Anggy Umbara and classified through five objects dystopia condition of Jakarta, dystopian condition of the state apparatus, dystopia conditions of religion, dystopia technology, and dystopias journalism to find signs and markers and meaning at the level of the first and second, the denotation, connotations and myths.These results indicate that the situation of Jakarta transformed into an increasingly metropolis marked by the increasing number of high-rise buildings, as well as demonstrations marked depicted in 2015 until 2025. In 2026, the revolution ended and became State Liberalism. Changes in the State apparatus are characterized by the wish to dominate the world to create freedom in the face of the earth. One is to get rid of religion, by damaging the face of religion. State Officials do havoc with bring into conflict of the Religion. The lack of freedom is depicted in this film, must be eradicated in order to function in a Liberal to be ideal. Discussion of Orientalism through Semiotic Analysis in Animation ABSTRACT This study reveals, interprets and understands the oriental influence in Saladin: The Animated Series through the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. This study looks at the semiotic elements found in the animated series through a system of signs and this conceptual framework of Barthes is divided into two components, signifier and signified. This sign system is used to look at the symbols through frames in this animation. The analysis of this study examines the changes in the title, poster, use of language, which led to the occurrence of orientalism discourse to disgrace the Islamic figure, Salahuddin al-Ayubi. The findings of the study found that the Westerners used Saladin as a title and not Salahuddin al-Ayubi. Next, the changes in the portrayal of Islamic figure in the poster of the animated film Saladin and Saladin: The Animated Series. There was confusion when the main character of this animated series, Saladin, was not placed in the middle of the poster. Each of the posters shows the influence of orientalism. In terms of language use, the animated series shows the acceptance of external influences such as the use of English as the primary language. The Arabic language is used for the audience in the Middle East and the Malay language is positioned only as a subtitle. The results show that orientalism tarnishes the identity of this Islamic figure. Keywords: Orientalism, semiotic, sign system, signifier, signified.

This study analyzed the wisdom values contained in Sundanese proverb that relates to anti-hoax values. This study was conducted to bring backcharacter and philosophy of Sundanese community which contained in the Sundanese proverb, in order not to be forgotten and still applied in everyday life. The source of the data that collected in this study is derived from Babasan and PribahasaSunda Book. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with semiotic analysis approach of Roland Barthes. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe anti-hoax values that contain in Sundanese proverb. The result shows that the proverb of Sundanese containsanti-hoax values. Those values arevalues of accuracy in reading Information and values of honesty.
