This study aims to represent the meaning of the advertisement using Barthes' semiotic sign map and to describe the meaning contained in the wardah advertisement version of "I am the face of Indonesia". This study uses qualitative methods to describe the object of research in accordance with what was observed and captured from the data obtained. In addition, the purpose of this method is to assist the research process by providing a more accurate picture. The results of this study indicate that the version of Wardah advertisement "I am the face of Indonesia is an advertisement that has motivation and solutions to the problems faced by many women in Indonesia, namely certain insecure (lack of confidence) in its delivery to Indonesian women who are potential consumers of the wardah version" I face Indonesia ”. This advertisement has two interrelated and complementary meanings, namely denotation meaning and connotative meaning. In advertisements, there are choices of signs to represent a phenomenon that is raised until it is interpreted by the public and up to the formation of discourse on the advertisement.

This study aims to analyze the aspects contained in quipper online tutoring advertisements using multimodal analysis. This study uses qualitative methods to describe the object of research in accordance with what was observed and captured from the data obtained. In addition, the purpose of this method is to assist the research process by providing a more accurate picture. The multimodal concept used in this study is Cheong. The research results show that. There are 5 components in this advertisement, namely linguistic, visual, audio, spatial and genre, which in the linguistic analysis of speech used both oral and written verbal contain meanings that are easily understood by the public. In visual analysis, there are 5 visual stages that appear in this advertisement.

This research focuses on answering how Acehnese local wisdom is represented and sees social changes in the community through advertising media. Using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis to find the meaning of denotation, connotation, and myths in TV commercial "The Light of Aceh", this research employs the constructivism paradigm with qualitative methods. The denotation falls in several objects, such as a traditional house Rumoh Aceh as a place for Acehnese people to live, the customs to honor guests and eat together with them as a symbol of friendship between communities, and the Pacu Kude tradition. The connotation of the local wisdom object has been cultured and become the community's identity, then displayed in the advertisement as the result of the construction of the existing reality. This construction is interpreted as a myth that does not necessarily refer to mythology in the ordinary sense. It is traditional stories, legends, et cetera, but rather an explanation of messages with a connotative dimension. The myths found in the advertisements show the social changes taking place in Acehnese society.   Fokus penelitian ini adalah menjawab bagaimana kearifan lokal Aceh direpresentasikan dan melihat perubahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat melalui media iklan. Dengan menggunakan analisis semiotik Roland Barthes untuk menemukan makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos dalam iklan TV “The Light of Aceh”, penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma konstruktivisme dengan metode kualitatif. Makna denotasi terdapat pada beberapa objek, seperti rumah adat Rumoh Aceh sebagai tempat tinggal masyarakat Aceh, adat istiadat untuk menghormati tamu dan makan bersama sebagai simbol persahabatan antar masyarakat, serta tradisi Pacu Kude. Objek kearifan local yang berkonotasi telah membudaya dan menjadi identitas masyarakat, kemudian ditampilkan dalam iklan tersebut sebagai hasil konstruksi dari realitas yang ada. Konstruksi ini dimaknai sebagai mitos yang tidak serta merta mengacu pada mitologi dalam pengertian biasa. Ini adalah cerita tradisional, legenda, dan sebagainya, tetapi lebih merupakan penjelasan tentang pesan dengan dimensi konotatif. Mitos yang ditemukan dalam iklan tersebut menunjukkan perubahan sosial yang terjadi pada masyarakat Aceh.

AbstractThe study entitled "The Meaning of Tempo Magazine Cover (Semiotic Analysis of Tempo Magazine Cover September 16-September 22 2019, entitled Promise Staying Promise)" aims to find out the meaning of the meaning of the magazine cover tempo "Promise Stay Promise" seen from the meaning of illustrations, texts and color on the magazine cover. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis approach, which examines signs through three stages of analysis namely denotation, connotation, mythology.The results of this study might reveal that the magazine cover of this edition shows the properties possessed by Mr. Jokowi as seen from the depiction of the face shape in the illustrations. The meaning of denotation, both the meaning of shadow, clothing and expression is illustrated, that the tempo magazine is a critical medium with the constitution and the spirit of democracy. While the connotation of the illustration is about the public's expectation of the revision of the KPK Law. As for the characteristics of President Jokowi's expression with his eyes closed and lips purely expressing something and his nose stretching out, that Mr. Jokowi is a liar. Furthermore, the mythological meaning found behind the illustration is a picture that contains assumptions about the unrelated Jokowi's promises and the President's responsibility towards the Revision of the KPK Law. Then in the headline and subheadline text and the black color in the nose's shadow, there is a provocation in it related to the ideology of the tempo magazine. The conclusion of this study, that the visual images contained in the magazine cover tempo "Promise Staying Promise" consisting of illustrations, text, and colors have a meaning contained therein. Indonesian population density is not new problems. From new problem, show up another problem. It is used by various parties to provide a profitable solution whether from public or government. Lippo Grup saw its opportunity to build Mega City Meikarta. One promotion ad titled that have made by Lippo Group “Aku Ingin Pindah ke Meikarta’ have got many negative responses from the public. The purpose of this study was to find out the part that reaped controversy. This study uses the theory of semiotic analysis by Roland Barthes to reveal more details and comparative analysis to see the opposite scene. The result, the study found that the controversy in the form of innuendo by audience because the ad does not offer a sollution in real live and too imaginative. Prospective costumers will face the same problem from reality

This study examines the meaning of love in the lyrics of Dnanda's song "Tak Sekedar Cinta" by using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. In this semiotic analysis, Roland Barthes examines the meaning of denotation, connotation and myths about the meaning of "love" contained in the lyrics of the song. The method used is qualitative interpretive. The collection technique is a document study by obtaining data from various sources relevant to the research. The results of Roland Barthes' semiotic study of Dnanda's song lyrics "Tak Sekedar Cinta" are as follows. The denotation of the song's lyrics “Tak Sekedar Cinta” is the power of love that the songwriters expect from their partner. So the connotative meaning contained in the lyrics of this song is the desire of the songwriter to his partner to maintain his love with loyalty. Meanwhile, the myth contained in the lyrics of this song is that the songwriter wants to say that in every relationship that is built with love, it will last, even though sometimes it hurts. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai makna cinta pada lirik lagu “Tak Sekedar Cinta” karya Dnanda dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes. Dalam analisis semiotika Roland Barthes ini mengkaji mengenai makna denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos mengenai makna “Cinta” yang terdapat pada lirik lagu tersebut. Metode yang digunakan ialah kualitatif interpretatif. Teknik pengumpulan yaitu studi dokumen dengan pemerolehan data dari berbagai sumber yang relevan dengan penelitian. Hasil kajian semiotika Roland Barthes pada lirik lagu “Tak Sekedar Cinta” karya Dnanda adalah sebagai berikut. Makna denotasi dari lirik lagu “Tak Sekedar Cinta” adalah kekuatan cinta yang penulis lagu harapkan ia dapatkan dari pasangannya. Kemudian makna konotasi yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu ini yaitu keinginan penulis lagu terhadap pasangannya agar menjaga cintanya dengan kesetiaan. Sedangkan mitos yang terdapat dalam lirik lagu ini yaitu penulis lagu ingin mengatakan bahwa dalam setiap hubungan yang dibangun dengan cinta pasti akan abadi walaupun kadang menyakitkan. Dystopia in Film Tiga Liberalism Conditions (Roland Barthes Semiotics Studies about Dystopia on Liberalism in Jakarta in Film Tiga). This study goals is to determine the meaning of dystopian condition of Jakarta in the Film Tiga through the sign, signifier and signified. Three films is a film that adopts Liberal describe the depravity of Jakarta twenty years in the future in 2036. The method used semiotic analysis of Roland 2 Bartes.The object of research is the Film Tiga were directed by Anggy Umbara and classified through five objects dystopia condition of Jakarta, dystopian condition of the state apparatus, dystopia conditions of religion, dystopia technology, and dystopias journalism to find signs and markers and meaning at the level of the first and second, the denotation, connotations and myths.These results indicate that the situation of Jakarta transformed into an increasingly metropolis marked by the increasing number of high-rise buildings, as well as demonstrations marked depicted in 2015 until 2025. In 2026, the revolution ended and became State Liberalism. Changes in the State apparatus are characterized by the wish to dominate the world to create freedom in the face of the earth. One is to get rid of religion, by damaging the face of religion. State Officials do havoc with bring into conflict of the Religion. Raya and The Last Dragon is the latest computer-animated film from Walt Disney Pictures and Walt Disney Animation Studio. This animated film, directed by Don Hall and Carlos Lopez, tells the story of the adventures of a woman named Raya in saving the world. This journal article aims to analyze and describe the moral messages contained in the film Raya and The Last Dragon. This research uses qualitative methods, with Roland Barthes semiotics analysis approach, so that ultimately obtained the results of research on what moral messages contained in every dialogue spoken by each character such as moral messages about friendship, cooperation, responsibility, leadership, courage, unity, and most often appears in this film is the power of trust in each other to create unity without division.

This paper discusses the meaning of qiradah contained in QS. Al-Baqarah [2]:65. The meaning of qiradah has been interpreted by the community as monkeys. Even though the word qiradah is not only interpreted in an essential way. This study aims to find various meanings of qiradah with several verses using a semiotic approach. In this study, the author uses Roland Barthes' semiotic approach, namely denotation and connotation to reveal the meaning of qiradah. To achieve this goal, this research uses qualitative methods. The results of this study conclude that: First, in the linguistic system or the denotative meaning of the word qiradah, it does not only mean monkeys, but monkeys that have no shame. Second, the system of mythology or connotative meaning. The word qiradah in this system shows not the physical meaning, but the disgraceful nature that positions a person in humiliation. the interpretation of the verses of the Qur'an related to animals needs to be developed in order to expand the study of the science of interpretation of the Qur'an in order to prove the dynamic elements of the Qur'an.

Recent films have attracted a lot of audiences, because many films have appeared with moral messages. This is evidenced by the number of films circulating by instilling the value of positive messages that are packaged in a concise, straightforward and interesting manner. So that many film makers have emerged to produce their works so that they can be watched by the public and can have a positive impact. Of the many films that are presented on the big screen, they have offered various colors in such a way, of course, adapted to the phenomena that are happening in society. Among them are the variety of films that are presented on the big screen, some are moral messages that are so constructive and in accordance with actual events in society, one of which is the short film “Tilik”. The research method used is qualitative in the form of semiotic analysis of Tilik Film Representations, this approach also allows researchers to use data as well as possible to be able to develop components of analytical, conceptual, categorical and flexible information. There are many signs in Tilik Film which have implied meanings. Director Tilik is very good at wrapping moral messages through the daily life of the village community through a film that only lasts 32 minutes, 34 seconds. These signs are displayed through several aspects such as the setting and setting of the film, shooting techniques, characters and dialogue between characters, scenes made by players, to the selection of the wardrobe of the characters in the film Tilik. The problematic aspects related to the implementation of energy saving policy in the budget sphere are examined in the article. The factors hindering the mass and effective implementation of energysaving measures are highlighted in the article. Among these factors, there is the technical complexity of energysaving projects, the presence of innovative and investment risks, problems with the financial provision of costs in the face of increasing debt burden in most public budgets. The article concludes that in these circumstances only the energy service contract is a tool that allows implementing energy­saving measures without the first participation of budgetary funds in financing and allows transferring the risks of making technically inefficient decisions directly to the investor. In the article, the authors substantiate the importance of the institutional development of energy services directly in the public sector and analyze the measures of the comprehensive plan to improve the energy efficiency of the economy of the Russian Federation aimed at expanding the scope of energy service contracts in the public sector.
