In Arabic Linguistics, Nahwu or Arabic Syntax has established for centuries. However, its complexities make the modern Arabic linguists re-formulate it so that it can be comprehended better by the native and speakers of Arabic as a second language. One of those linguists is Tamâm Hassân, who put Arabic language in a more (al-manhaj alwashfi) established position by perfecting its phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantic. His view over ‘âmil as a central theme and pillar in Arabic syntax or Nahwu reformulates the Arabic syntax by using descriptive approach (al-manhaj al-washfi). This makes Nahwu become more comprehensible.

The article is devoted to the study of the theoretical basis of autonomous secondary naming processes and scrutinizing the issues, related to this type of naming in the scope of modern Arabic lexicology as a productive means of assigning meanings to concepts.The article reviews approaches of native and Arabic authors to the comprehension of the phenomenon and features of autonomous secondary naming (in modern Arabic linguistics – ‘Al-Majaaz’).The paper deals with morphological nuances of word formation and specific aspects of functioning of lexical units formed as the result of Al-Majaaz. It also touches upon semantics of secondary autonomous units.The article shows the correlation between autonomous secondary nomination units and single-word semantic borrowings (loans). Morphological characteristics of single-unit loan words and the reasons of their functioning in Modern Literary Arabic are also subject to study.The paper considers the prospects of autonomous secondary units functioning in the context of their interconnection with polysemy, homonymy and synonymy.This paper will be of interest for students, who study Arabic and lexicology, semantics and morphology issues, as well as for translators interested in word formation processes.

The study aims to demonstrate the importance of instructional methods in teaching Arabic language as a second language or teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers. The study is in line with the tremendous development in the field of knowledge, especially in the field of technology and communication, and the emergence of many electronic media in education in general and language teaching in particular. It employs an image in teaching vocabulary and presenting the experience of the Arabic Language Institute for Non-Speakers-King Abdul-Aziz University. The study follows the descriptive approach to solve the problem represented by the lack of interest in the educational methods when teaching Arabic as a second language. Accordingly, the study is to answer the following questions: What is the importance of using teaching aids when teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers?What are the methods of employing (an image) as an instructional tool in teaching vocabulary? The study has reached that teaching aids are of great importance in studying the Arabic language for the non-native, the image of the audio and visual aids plays a great role in teaching vocabulary to the beginners. In its modern version, it helps directly in teaching the language from a distance and thus fulfills the hopes of many in teaching Arabic language and covers the acute shortage of a language teacher.

The Arabic language, during the pre-Islamic age, at the beginning of Islam and today with its valuable tradition, convention and practice, is a great language. Hamad ibn (son of) Khalifah Abu Shihab is one of the modernist poets linking the twentieth century with the twenty-first. He is one of the supporters of the classical Arabic language. The researcher, in this literary paper, takes on to illustrate the perceptiveness of a famous poem by Hamad ibn Khalifah as a case of the magnitude and worth of the Arabic language, its influence and being influencing. The poem of Hamad ibn Khalifah has never been studied or analyzed; for this motive, the poem deserves to be given enough consideration because it deals directly with a central theme which is classical Arabic language. It can be estimated as a legacy of the graceful Arabic tongues. The study uses the analytical and descriptive method which starts, in its first section, with a succinct introductory sketch on the Arabic language and its importance. After that, the core point of the study to be followed is a descriptive, analytical and critical dealing with the poem, its wisdom and everlasting concepts. In this section, the researcher endeavors to ascertain the reputation of the Arabic language and to demonstrate the capacities of Hamad ibn Khalifah Abu Shihab as a modern Arabic poet through his poem. A brief discussion is followed. The paper ends with a short-lived conclusion summarizing the full investigation and stating the results if there is any.

After the Islamic conquest, the Greek Orthodox, so-called Melkite ( = Royalist), church fairly early adopted Arabic as its literary language. Their intellectual centres in Syria/Palestine were Jerusalem, along with the monaster ies of Mar Sabas and Mar Chariton in Judea, Edessa and Damascus. A great many Arabic manuscripts stemming from the first millennium, some of them dated, copied at the monastery of Mar Chariton and especially at that of Mar Saba, have been discovered in the monastery of St. Catherine on Mount Sinai, the only monastery that has not been pillaged and set on fire by the bedouin. These manuscripts are of great importance for the history of the Arabic language. Because Christians were less devoted to the ideal of the ‘arabiyya than their Muslim contemporaries, their writings contain a great many devi ations from classical Arabic, thus enabling us to reconstruct early Neo-Arabic, the predecessor of the modern Arabic dialects, and bridge a gap of over one thousand years in the history of the Arabic language.

The aim of this research is to evaluate the extent to which teachers of the Arabic language at the intermediate stage in the Asir region possess the skills of creative teaching and to achieve this goal the researcher used the descriptive approach, as the researcher prepared a card for observing creative teaching skills, and it consisted of (48) paragraphs and was applied to a sample of language teachers Arabic in the intermediate stage in the Asir region; The number of (15) female teachers. The results of the research showed that the overall tool has obtained an average (1.59 out of 3), with a rating (low), and at the axis level, the axis of creative implementation skills got the highest average (1.84 out of 3), with an estimate (average), and the axis of the creative evaluation of the teachers Average (1.76 out of 3) rated (low), and finally, the creative planning axis got an average (1.18 out of 3) rated (low), and in light of these results the researcher made some recommendations, the most important of which are: Making use of the observation card and its list of skills in building programs Training for Arabic language teachers, and participation of curriculum experts, teaching methods and educational technology in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating programs Training related to Arabic language teachers.

This study investigates the transfer relationship between first language (L1) (Arabic) proficiency and second language (L2) (English) performance in writing skills of a Saudi bilingual graduate student. Several studies have discussed the transfer issues in language learning, yet a few of them focus on the transfer relationships between Arabic and English language writing skills. Regardless of the huge linguistic distinction between the English language and Arabic language, it is presumed that Arabic and English writing skills positively, negatively, and neutrally transferred in a dynamic relationship. The researcher has conducted observations and interviews with Fatimah, the participant of this study, and analyzed her texts in both languages to illustrate how dynamic relationships between L1 and L2 in the composition skills is and what the effects of language transfer in the composition skills between L1 and L2 are. The data were collected and analyzed in January 2018. The results demonstrate effects of L2 on L1 as the following; first, a reverse or backward transfer implemented in three ways; positive, negative, and neutral transfer. Second, they indicate that there is a dynamic relationship between second language performance and first language proficiency in composition particularly. It is hoped that this knowledge will assist students in being aware of the effects of L2 on L1 specifically in composition and taking the advantages to accelerate the rate of language learning. It is recommended for future research to conduct studies in bilingual writings to investigate how L1 could be a resource and advocate of language development.

AbstractTo uncover the causes that give rise to a lack of student interest in participating in language activities. To uncover strategies to increase student interest in participating in language activities in Arabic Language Study Program Faculty of Education and Teaching in IAIN Bengkul5.In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection methods for this study by observation, interviews and documents. Language activities include teaching and learning activities every Wednesday, Weekly Arabic activities, vocabulary sharing activities, lectures, dramas. Lack of a clear curriculum led to the failure to achieve the objectives of this activity, the lack of relationship between teachers and students, the relationship between students and the students because many students does not make affect other students, the lack of discipline in the MLA, no media to learn.Key Word: Enthusiasm of students; Language activity; Teaching Arabic

<p>The study deals with the phonemes on syntax and their employment in the teaching of Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. The study aims at explaining how these phonemes are used in the teaching of Arabic as a second language. The study also aims to explain the role played by these secondary phonemes in communicating the Arabic language to an optimal level of sound; Acoustic sounds are not isolated but need to be viewed at the level of composition as well. Moreover, to reach the desired goals, the researcher divided the research into two sections and contained each of these sections on the axes.</p>The first topic came in terms of theoretical framework, where the researcher talked about the importance of the audio lesson for the Arabic learner a second language, and the second axis of the definition of the phonemes above the structure of the lesson and attention, the practical side of the study was divided into axes, namely:  The use of algebra in the teaching of Arabic as second language, the use of toning in teaching
