The purpose of this article is to look into the functions of community in running capitalism at the micro-level through Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), as well as the effects on the collective well-being of the members. The concept of community-welfare capitalism is used and re-examined in this article. The term “community-welfare capitalism” refers to a form of capitalism that stems from grassroots communities in Indonesia and other Asian countries. Based on our empirical findings on three MSMEs in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, it is argued that, while the majority of works of literature emphasizes the importance of the community in providing informal social protection, our findings confirm that the community's role extends beyond social care to include economic security through collaborative business development. Because Indonesia is currently struggling to achieve inclusive welfare, our conclusion of community-welfare capitalism emphasizes the importance of informal support for social redistribution. As a result, it has been demonstrated that the community-welfare capitalism system, which includes MSMEs, can assist formal welfare institutions in integrating unabsorbed social risk during these difficult times.

Abstract This study investigates the Theory of Cycle of Money. The concept of this theory is based on the distribution of money in an economy and shows that it is plausible to have a positive effect on an economy by the appropriate public and tax policy (when is applied the cycle of money). The dynamic of each economy is represented by the concept of the cycle of money. The multiple times that money is used and reused to a country’s economy, without getting out to external economies and banking systems, clarifies the robustness of this economy. Therefore, to this analysis are determined the appropriate tax policies in connection with the savings of the companies of controlled (the companies of transfer pricing administrate their taxation with the allocation of profits and losses to maximize their benefits) and uncontrolled transactions (the companies are not participating in allocations to administrate their profits and losses). This theory is based on the approach that small and medium enterprises must have lower taxes than larger and international companies that substitute the activities of these companies. Moreover, the only large economic units that should have low taxes are the factories and know-how technological companies. In that way, a society could achieve its best well-being standards, as this is a theory that completely sought social welfare. This article aims to clarify the Theory of Cycle of Money and its importance for the robustness of the economy, and the prosperity of the society and citizens. The current study applies the Q.E. method and its econometric approach.

This community service aims to facilitate the economic sector for religious community organizations, especially towards the PRM Bangunjiwo Barat in the midst of competition from the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). This community service is important because the Indonesian people generally lack awareness of the MEA. Empowerment in the economic sector, especially those based on micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is very important when the flow of global capitalism into Indonesia is boundless and unstoppable. This is in line with the transformation of the theory of International Relations (IR) from traditional issues and high politics to issues based on non-traditional and community-based low politics, especially issues of development and human security. Human security issues include health security, food security, economic security, and others. The results of this community service have succeeded in facilitating partners and it is hoped that after the service they can increase their capacity in facing global competition, especially the AEC. Several important agendas were successfully implemented in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, for example video editing workshops, product photos, introduction to e-commerce including helping register products in the Grab-food application, and philanthropic activities

AbstractIn the past two decades, the question of how pension systems should be designed to offer ‘adequate and sustainable pensions for all’ has been raised. As a result, European pension systems, in which market principles in general have played a marginal or even negligible role in the past, were redesigned, with market-based pensions becoming part of the pension calculation norm, i.e. the institutionalised and nationally defined target level for old-age protection. However, since the hybrid pension systems are institutionalised very differently, pension systems’ ingredients, characteristics and nexus are far from being homogeneous, and the role of market principles in hybrid systems differs. These differences significantly determine the degree of social protection of the various social citizens and the number of future pensioners with adequate pensions. An illustrative comparison of the contrasting Dutch and German institutional setups indicates differences in the manner in which market principles have been strengthened in the pension system, and the related effects these differences have on social-risk spreading.

This article aims to investigate the factors associated with quality of life among small and medium enterprises (SME) workers in 4 countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. A total of 2014 workers from food and textile industries were asked to answer a questionnaire about their sociodemographic characteristics, working environment and conditions, and quality of life. Results from showed that lifestyle (ie, alcohol intake and exercising), working characteristics (ie, shift work, working hours, and working days) and workplace conditions were associated with SME workers’ quality of life (ie, physical, psychological, social, and environmental domain). Among the 16 types of workplace conditions, “sitting on the chair” and “slippery floor” most affect their quality of life . It is important for these variables to be taken into account in promoting workers’ well-being and quality of life.
