The importance of character education is a wisdom of value diversity and social live culture. To achive the goal, the education system in school has developed three sub systems,namely, administration, instruction, and pupil/ student personal service. Guidance andcounseling program is from pupil/ student personal service. Strengthening charactereducation can be realized through the management of Islamic guidance and counseling.According to management concept, implementation of guidance and counselingmanagement isone of the manivestation of systematic program on how to plan guidanceand counseling activity, how to lead human resource in the organization in order toachieve the goal, how to control the activity of guidance and counseling, andhow toevaluate it. Therefore, the management of Islamic guidance and counselingcan achievethe education goal exspecially in strengthening education character.

To realize the vision of national development, namely to realize a society of noble character, morality, ethics, culture and civilization based on the Pancasila philosophy, the national education system must be the main focus that must be addressed. Based on the functions and objectives of national education, it is clear that education at every level must be organized systematically to achieve that goal. This concerns the reality of education in educational units from early childhood education to tertiary education which is currently experiencing fading and degradation in terms of forming the character of its students. All of this is due to the absence of a learning system focused on the direction of the formation of superior character values. Keywords:education, character education, youth and the future of the nation Untuk mewujudkan visi pembangunan nasional, yaitu mewujudkan masyarakat berakhlak mulia, bermoral, beretika, berbudaya dan beradab berdasarkan falsafah Pancasila, maka sistem pendidikan nasional harus menjadi fokus utama yang harus dibenahi. Berdasarkan fungsi dan tujuan pendidikan nasional, jelas bahwa pendidikan di setiap jenjang, harus diselenggarakan secara sistematis guna mencapai tujuan tersebut. Hal ini menyangkut realitas pendidikan di dalam satuan pendidikan dari pendidikan usia dini sampai perguruan tinggi yang saat ini mengalami pemudaran dan degradasi dalam hal pembentukan karakter peserta didiknya. Guidance and Counseling Workshop on Strengthening Character Education in Guidance and Counseling Services for Junior Secondary Guidance and Counseling Teachers in Tabalong Regency was carried out to prepare guidance and counseling teachers who were capable of implementing guidance and counseling services in strengthening character education based on operational guidance and counseling in schools, by the Guidance and Counseling Guidelines for Primary and Secondary Education issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The workshop was held one day, namely on August 26, 2019, with 37 participants. Technically, the implementation of the workshop takes place in 5 stages of activities, namely registration; lectures; sharing experiences; and questions and answers practicum. Resource persons for the workshop activities were lecturers in the guidance and counseling study program. Based on the implementation of this service, it can be concluded that guidance and counseling teachers have an essential role in strengthening character education by using guidance and counseling services based on the Operational Guidance and Counseling Implementation Guidelines. Therefore, it is suggested to be followed up into technical guidance activities in implementing guidance and counseling services with a more specific activity agenda; and become a preliminary study in making guidance and counseling service modules for strengthening character education based on Operational Guidance for Guidance and Counseling Implementation.

The education system in Pakistan does not cater to the need of the society especially inculcating the unity of thought, skills, and attitudes among the learners. The serious efforts to improve the standard of Higher Education for the commercialization of education especially higher education have not been made by the government. A number of policies were framed for the betterment of the education system but there could not be a single unanimous policy framed and materialized. Pakistan is a country that has invested meager resources in the education sector. The countries which invested in the human resource are now leading the economic arena and are counted as developed countries. With the reasonable allocation of funds and expertise in this field, the priorities can be fixed to correlate with the standards of the higher education of developed countries. Higher Education Commission or the like bodies of developed countries have played a pivotal role in making their educational standards and these are role model for Pakistan. In this respect, some practical suggestions are recommended for enhancing the marketability and commercialization of education in Pakistan.

Human Resource Management plays an essential role for attaining organizational goals. Nowadays, practitioners, researchers, and academicians around the world are emphasizing to transform and reshape the practice of human resource. However, very few research works have been done in the area of Transformational Human Resource Management (T-HRM). Hence, the aim of this chapter is to propose an integrated framework of T-HRM and organizational efficiency. In light of that, this study has proposed potential factors of the T-HRM. Secondly, this study presented positive effect of the factors of T-HRM on organizational efficiency management. Concept of knowledge management has introduced as a potential mediator, and ICT and organizational alignment has presented as a potential moderator of this study. Finally, knowledge of this study will provide better insights on T-HRM for ensuring organizational efficiency.

Parenting is a process in the family, the interaction of parents and children. The family is where a child is born, the first place a child gets an education, consisting of father, mother and child. The family also became the main central place of character education formation of children. Family education is the fundamental or foundation of subsequent children's education. In the society of the nobility and in general people Sasak known to have the motto of Lomboq Mirah Sasak Adi meaning Lomboq straight meaning. Mirah is a true gem, an elegant precious metal that is very expensive. Sasak comes from sa'sa 'sa'i, sopo, seke' which means one. Adi means something that is very high value. Therefore, the true (mule jati) "straight road" is a very noble path, a very high value, as the only path to be followed by the sasak. and the road is a straight path (siratulmustakim) commanded by Allah SWT contained in the Qur'an and Al Hadith. In the process of learning guidance and counseling teachers are teachers who are tasked to provide guidance to students who are problematic and who are not problematic if considered important by the teacher guidance and counseling, therefore the role of teachers guidance and counseling in the learning process is needed, because learners have problems are diverse

Since it was launched in 2010, Character Education is becoming a mesmerizing framework which is assumed to bring about the changes in Indonesian national education. Especially, National Education Framework for Character Education 2010 is agreed to be a guide for national education success in building nation character of the youngsters. However, such a dual-system of education—general and Islamic education, that is embraced in the current national education system emanates various Character Education both its interpretation and implementation. The discussion in this paper highlights that from various definitions and interpretations, character education practices deals with definite values rather than relative values. Islam world has many sources of values and ethics and thus Muslim educators and teachers are suggested to base the values inculcation to students on the Islamic sources of values and ethics. Undesired changes of society’s life caused by secualrism, personalism, pluralism, etc., make character education practices as necessary to conduct in order to counter those ideologies.

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted all aspects of life. One of the things that has been affected is the achievement of the SDGs which has been hampered by this pandemic. The condition that has been deteriorated due to the pandemic should not be used as an excuse to achieve the SDGs, in this case the role of youth is very important to achieve SDGs, especially in the post-pandemic period. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The data used are primary and secondary data that have been collected, processed, made conclusions, and then interpreted. This study aims to design a character education system for the younger generation in their role in achieving the SDGs. The results of the interpretation of data that have been collected and then processed in the research process, make a proposal for "FAST Generation". These concepts are some of the main characteristics that youth must have in their role in achieving the SDGs in the post-COVID-19 pandemic. FAST Generation is a character that must be possessed by youth in achieving the SDGs. Youth with character will make the world safer, more prosperous, and more focused, so that the achievement of the goals contained in the SDGs will be easier.

Human resource plays an important role for the economy. How to obtain human resource quality is by implementing the quality of education system. Education is one of the important considerations sought by the government, as proved by the size of its allocation on budget. Therefore, evaluating the efficiency of its implementation in Indonesia is needed by using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. This paper attempts to develop a new efficiency model of Indonesian education system and implement it to all school’s levels: primary school, junior high school, senior and vocational high school, in 34 provinces in Indonesia. The results show provinces that already have achieved cost, technical and overall efficiency are only 1 and 2 provinces at each levels of education. Regarding the managerial implications, teacher’s equity is a top priority in improving the quality of education system in Indonesia.
