Today, Ukraine is at the center of the world community, politics and the European market, in light of changes in the political, economic and military spheres. Undoubtedly, all this influenced the development of the country’s economy and policy towards the countries of the near and far abroad, including the development of the tourism industry. To characterize the current state of development of domestic and international tourism in Ukraine and served as the main purpose of writing an article. The research of the current state of tourism development in Ukraine was based on the application of a systematic approach using comparative, statistical, analytical methods, etc. The relevance of this study is determined by the clarification of the further direction of tourism development in connection with the deprivation of tourism industry as a priority in 2019, although it is one of the significant sources of filling the state treasury, as well as the impact on the tourist image of Ukraine, an aggressor country during the period of change of power and incomplete reforms. It is established that the tourist image of Ukraine is restored from 2016 due to the victorious participation of Ukrainians in international events, in particular, Eurovision-2017, but it should be noted that the main donor countries are the countries of close foreign countries. Visa tourism has been intensified with Ukraine through visa-free travel and pricing policies for tourist services. For example, when comparing prices with the tourist complex «Bukovel» or «Shayan» cheaper to rest in Poland or Hungary. One of the reasons was revealed: the population’s low awareness of the tourist potential of the country; unreliability of domestic subjects of tourism activity; the lack of security in the places of rest, as well as the war in the east of Ukraine and the annexation of the Crimean peninsula. It was found that the length of stay of Ukrainians abroad depended on the location of the country. The farther the longer, which is associated with the cost of time and money. Also, you should not neglect tourist logistics. After all, almost all flights from Ukraine abroad are sent in the morning. Arriving in the evening, a tourist-Ukrainian is forced to seek a lodging for himself. While in Ukraine, on the contrary, tourists mostly come in the morning or in the afternoon. It should also be noted that the marked decrease in trips abroad is due to the poverty of the Ukrainian population. The main purpose of travel – rest on the warm seas of the seas for the best price and high quality of service for tourists. It is statistically reported that the geography of recipient countries is predominantly close to a foreign country, mainly the CIS countries, while, for example, most of Belarus comes to the EU. The development of domestic tourism, which tends to grow, is estimated. The main factors of its development are the desire of Ukrainians to travel even with a minimal budget. However, it should be noted the predominance of self-organized tourism. The main tourist areas with the predominance of a certain type of tourism were identified, for example Lviv – cultural-cognitive, IvanoFrankivsk and Transcarpathian - active and eventful, Odessa – recreational types of tourism. The tendency of the steady development of tourism in Ukraine due to the development of transport infrastructure, information and communication environment, the election of the European development vector is revealed. In the near future it is expedient: to adjust the Law «On Tourism» in accordance with the EU directives in the tourism sector, as well as to direct the direction for the development of domestic and inbound tourism in Ukraine.

Aim: The purpose of the article: To analyze the current state of the transport network development, the index of transport communication, the dynamics of the number of users of mobile communication services, on the example of Kyivstar Company in Ivano-Frankivsk region. Determine the role of transport and mobile networks in promoting and enhancing the development of tourism on the basis of multifunctionality, mutual permeability and complementarity of various elements of socio-economic systems. Methods – the study of communicative and its role in the development of tourism on the example of the Ivano-Frankivsk region is based on the combination of methods of sectoral and territorial analysis. In particular, a systematic approach is used for the study using comparative methods, statistical analysis, analytical analysis, etc. This methodology includes an analysis of the conditions and factors of tourism development within the administrative unit of Ukraine based on statistical data of indicators (types of vehicles and connections, number of arrivals / departures of passengers, directions of tourist flows from / to Ivano-Frankivsk region, etc.). Results – the article analyzes the impact of transport and mobile networks on the development of the tourism industry, for example, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The emphasis is placed on the index of transport communicativeness of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. The analysis of migration monitoring with the help of Kyivstar telecommunication operator was carried out, namely: citizens' migration in Ivano-Frankivsk, duration of their stay, geography of their arrivals. In comparison with the statistical indicators of the state of tourism development, external (country) and internal (oblast) donors of tourists are determined. The influence of communicativeness on the current state of the tourism industry is substantiated. Scientific novelty – for the first time, on the basis of sectoral-territorial analysis the state of development of the tourism industry through the prism of transport and mobile networks has been analyzed. The results of the research may form the basis for writing course papers, theses, preparation of lecture-practical material, monitoring of the national tourism market. Practical significance – materials of the publication, conclusions can be used during the educational process, preparing training for the national tourism industry, the practical activities of tour companies, to popularize the western region of Ukraine, on the example of Ivano-Frankivsk region on the external and internal tourist markets.

The accepted Sustainable Development Goals aim at reorienting the tourism industry to sustainable tourism and enhancing post-industrial tourism. In this case, it is necessary to identify the statistically significant determinants which affect post-industrial tourism development. In this paper, we aim to analyse: (1) the impact of economic and environmental dimensions, and of digital marketing on supporting post-industrial tourism development and (2) the difference between attitude to post-industrial tourism on the gender, age, and education dimensions and digital channels on post-industrial tourism development. The data was collected from questioning 2334 respondents during April–November 2020. The study applied the following methods: frequencies, percentages, t-test, and one-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. The findings confirmed the statistically significant impact of the economic and environmental dimensions, as well as digital marketing on post-industrial tourism development. The results of the analysis justified that digital marketing was a catalysator of post-industrial tourism development. In addition, the findings confirmed that there is no difference in attitudes towards post-industrial tourism with respect to the dimensions of age, gender, and education.

Purpose of the study: The purpose of this study was to survey the residents’ attitudes on the impact of tourism on Maasai Mara National Reserve and to identify critical issues and tourism development concerns of the Maasai residents associated with the social, economic, and environmental sustainability of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Methodology: Data for this study was collected from June-October 2015. The participants were residents, 18 and older, from three group ranches. Data were collected using single-stage cluster sampling to identify three group ranches, Koyiaki, Olkinyei, and Siana, in the Maasai Mara region. A semi-structured, open-ended questionnaire was used for face-to-face and photo-elicitation interviews of 24 respondents. Data were subsequently analysed using the Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) technique. Main Findings: The study identified six overarching themes; conservation, cultural change, community development, employment, livestock, and small business. This study found that residents perceived tourism with mixed feelings, both negative and positive. More specifically, residents living closer to the tourism destination experienced direct and tangible benefits as compared to those who live far away. Applications of this study: The results of this study are important for tourism planners, practitioners, and conservation managers in developing holistic strategies that promote sustainable tourism development in the Mara region of Kenya. Novelty/Originality of this study: The success of the tourism industry depends on the involvement of the local people. Lack of cooperation of the local communities in tourism development projects could lead to anger and mistrust, influencing perceptions of tourism and its three basic areas of benefits and costs: social, environmental, and economic. This study, for the first time, attempted to describe the resident’s attitudes towards tourism development in the Mara, results which can be used to improve the participation of local residents to ensure sustainable tourism development in destinations.

The tourism industry is expanding its influence on the region’s economy by increasing the accessibility and accessibility of tourist facilities (development of transport infrastructure, communication and information technologies, formation of extensive networks of the hospitality industry, wholesale and retail trade, etc.). A characteristic feature of the regional tourism industry is the multiplicative economic effect, which is manifested through the positive dynamics of economic indicators of business entities involved in the business process of creating and implementing a comprehensive tourism product. The paper proves that the sphere of tourism is formed and developed in the relevant area under the influence of various factors that are reproduced in this area. However, the sphere of tourism itself is considered as a factor that influences and changes the socio-economic development of the region. The main indicator of the multiplier effect is the cost of tourists, so the policy of the region should be aimed at maximally stimulating such costs. This is the first task of maximizing the multiplier effect. The second task is to reduce the level of savings. Recognizing the fact that the impact of the multiplier effect of tourism, compared to the impact of other activities, is the most significant because it is a catalyst for the development of many industries, considering existing models for calculating the generalized multiplier (and on their basis), the author proposes to create a method of accounting for the indirect impact of tourism on a number of components of the economy and social sphere (differentiated model of the multiplier) of the region and the country as a whole. The assessment of individual components of the tourism multiplier should be based on a clear methodological basis and the availability of appropriate software. Thus in each component of the tourist multiplier the contribution to the corresponding sector of economy and social policy of the state should be considered. Thus, the use of a tourism multiplier to assess the impact of social processes on the tourism industry makes it possible to determine the equilibrium relationship between consumption and income, ie the process of income generation in different sectors of the economy, at the expense of tourists and tourists.

The tourism industry has been gravely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In this context, the purpose of this study was to explore residents’ support for sustainable tourism development in an integrative model that considered well-established factors and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing various research gaps caused by the pandemic, this study aimed to examine a model based on eight hypotheses. Using the premises of a cross-sectional study, data was gathered from residents from Sibiu. Data analysis implied various steps to provide an accurate understanding of the hypotheses and the model was developed based on structural equation modeling. Considering the results of hypothesis testing, our study reconfirmed the applicability of social exchange theory in describing residents’ attitudes toward tourism development and positioned quality of life as an important predictor for this construct. Also, the outcomes highlighted a negative relationship between the host community’s perceptions of the coronavirus pandemic and their subsequent support for sustainable tourism development. Overall, the results focused on offering contributions for a better understanding of residents’ behavior and the influence of the COVID-19 outbreak on their support for sustainable tourism development. The conceptual and practical ramifications of the study were addressed in the article’s conclusion.

Problems of efficiency of tourism development for the urban economy should be considered on the basis of a systematic approach, which involves the establishment of different criteria and indicators for different levels of government, as well as a hierarchy of goals and corresponding efficiency criteria. Based on the analysis, the article summarizes the concept of "tourist potential of the city". It is determined that the main components of tourist potential are resource, economic and social potential. The main methods of determining the tourist potential are identified, including expert, comparative, cartographic, technological, aesthetic methods of analysis. The directions of tourism impact on the economy of the territory are considered. Direct and indirect effects, as well as induced effects of tourism development are considered separately. The interrelation and interaction of different spheres of the city economy and tourism are shown. In the analysis it is necessary to consider significant sectors of the urban economy: hotel, construction, catering, retail, tour operators, industry, wholesale, housing and communal services, communications, transport, insurance and banking, medicine, education and others. To calculate the gross tourist product, calculate the sum of all costs incurred for the production of tourist goods and services for a certain period. These are the costs of tourist consumption, private and public tourism investments. In addition, calculate the amount of all income from the sale of tourist goods and services for a certain period. This income from the sale of tourist goods and services, income from renting rooms, apartments, etc. The use of a multiplier to determine the impact of tourism development on the city economy is proposed. The calculation of tourism multipliers involves determining the total income from the tourism industry and related infrastructure. Comprehensive assessment allows to identify the economic level of tourism development in the territory, the effect, and is also the basis for justification and management decisions. The study showed that in the modern scientific literature there are several types of multipliers. These are multipliers of income, employment, investment, commercial operations, production and sales. The foreign experience of assessment of social and economic effects from the development of the tourist sphere is analyzed and the possibility of its use in the conditions of Ukraine is substantiated. The article considers the prospects of tourism development in five countries of Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan. The author analyzes cultural, social and economic aspects of the tourism industry in the region. The main directions of activity of international organi-zations in the framework of tourism promotion programs are given. Central Asia has a huge potential for the tourism development. The study of the current state of tourism in Central Asia is becoming increasingly important. Tourism resources have every chance to become part of the national wealth of the countries of this region. In the group of factors determining socio-economic development of the countries in the region are natural resources, the level of production and investment, social infrastructure, management quality, international competitiveness, etc. The need for the regional development management system is conditioned by regionalization processes inherent to the current economic situation, oriented to ensuring positive national economic dynamics and maximum using the region’s potential. The studying problem of regional development makes it possible to justify, as one of the directions of its solution, the use of cluster technologies oriented to those branches of the economy that can become a vector of regional development. According to experts, the tourism industry is one of the most profitable sectors of the economy of the region. This industry covers numerous sectors of the economy and various links between them. The main tourist routes in the present time, covering many objects of the Great Silk Road, do not offer a more detailed study of the local historical, architectural and archaeological heritage. The lack of infrastructure facilities is the reason for this. This fact forces us to search solutions, which will provide a comfortable environment for both tourists and researchers. At present, the Central Asian countries occupy a very modest place in the world market of tourist services. According to many experts, the demand for sanatorium, tourist and excursion services has decreased due to the transition period, and the existing network of tourist institutions, boarding houses, rest homes needs reconstruction. After the disintegration of the Soviet Union, tourism in the Central Asian republics began to develop independently, without common approaches and concepts. In many respects this is determined by the fact that the new states have chosen their own models of socio-economic development, different from each other. The different level of political freedoms, economic development features determine the current state of the tourism industry in various countries of Central Asia. The perspective of tourism development in this region is quite difficult, but an interesting task, necessary for familiarizing humanity with the most interesting culture of peoples inhabiting Central Asia and developing the economies of countries.

Developed transport network is a precondition for economic and tourism development of areas and largely follows and allows the development of human activities. If it is developing without plan, spontaneous and without coordination it may be a limit to the overall development. The aim of research was to define developmental basis for the revitalization, improvement and construction of transport infrastructure in the municipality of Negotin. The paper will present the mutual interaction and functional connectivity of planning solutions for development of transport infrastructure and development of economic and tourism, as well as the impact which planning solutions have on the evolvent of other spatial and city functions.

With the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism industry faced a crisis that could be the worst in history. In recent years, the tourism industry has been one of the fastest-growing industries, sometimes faster than the world economy as a whole. 2019 has brought unprecedented changes to the world order, affecting all socio-ecological and economic ties. What are the consequences of and will have global tourism in connection with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, which countries and regions of the world will suffer the greatest losses, what threatens and what are the benefits of the tourism crisis that will bring a "new order" to the tourism industry, what innovative management anti-crisis measures should be applied by world governments and non-governmental organizations to overcome the unprecedented tourism crisis - all these issues remain acute and have identified the research topic. The paper examines the methodological developments and recommendations for overcoming the tourism crisis in Europe caused by the pandemic virus COVID-19, namely, the article identifies the basics and consequences of the pandemic impact on market capital on the example of tourism in Europe and the world, shows that the global tourism industry is one of the main factors in the formation of market capital, studied market capital as a component of intellectual capital on the example of tourism in the EU, outlined the prospects for global tourism, developed a system of measures to overcome the global crisis through tourism SWOT-analysis. Namely: enhanced multilateral cooperation and strong support are important for the resumption of tourism; the speed of adaptation of governments at all levels and the private sector involved in the tourism sector and the ability to respond quickly and adapt to the crisis; providing targeted and affordable government support as quickly and efficiently as possible for vulnerable tourism enterprises, workers and tourists; ensuring policy clarity and taking measures to limit uncertainty; invention and development of more sustainable and sustainable (socio-ecological-economic) models of tourism; development of tourism education and legislation.
