Katoba culture as one form of local wisdom Muna society contains many positive values that need to be preserved and developed. The positive values include the religious, social, political, economic, and historical values. This study addressed the relating socio-cultural values learning with appropriate conceptual of Social Science for Elementary school curriculum. Because one of the goals of this study is to develop learning materials Social Science- Elementary school to enhance the knowledge, attitudes and skill students against local culture (Katoba) in effort to mastery the subject matter of Social Science- Elementary school. Therefore, in the development learning materials will be integrated with relevant local cultural values. The relevant local cultural values (Katoba) curriculum of Social Science- Elementary school is the social values, culture, economics, politics/history and art/creativity and religion. In addition, the integration of social values in learning katoba cultural, Social Science through cooperative approaches with clarification in terms of the value of learning according to permendiknas No. 41/2007-th model is relevant to theories of learning and the learning model is selected. Through the stages of Social Science learning model development that are expected to improve the results of the study (koginitif), strengthen the appreciation and attitude of the students towards the local culture (katoba). This emphasis on the process of the learners how to learn through reconstruction, find, acquire knowledge and develop social values of cultural katoba, that is believed or understood and served as a pattern of behaviour guidelines in social life. The learning process is in line with the emphasis on the ideal character education of self-reliance human (moral autonomy) in a neighbourhood, community, nation, and state.

Abstract: Developing a Culture-Based Integrated Learning Model to ImproveStudents’ Appreciation of Local Culture. This study aims to develop a social studylearning model for elementary school students that can help them master subjectmatters as an effort to improve their appreciation of local culture, using an R & Dapproach consisting of three steps: preliminary study, model development andmodel validation. The subjects were teachers and students of elementary schools inBengkulu Province, Sumatra. The results show that the Culture-Based IntegratedLearning Model (CBILM) is an appropriate learning model to help students mastersubject matters as an effort to improve their appreciation of local culture. ABSTRACTThe research is an action research aiming at improving the learning output of social science using cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together. The subjects of the research are the fifth grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar in the even semester, the year of 2015/ 2016 with the number of students of 21 consisting of 12 boys and 9 girls. The research used cycling procedure containing four steps of planning, doing, observing, and reflecting. The action research is done in two cycles. Each cycle is conducted in one meeting. After the implementation of Numbered Head Together, the learning output of students social science improves from the first to the second cycle. The result shows that the average score in the first cycle is 65, and the learning completion is 50.00%, while in the second cycle, the average score is 74 and the learning completion is 85.00%. The learning process score in the first cycle is 75.75%, and it improves in the second cycle to be 90.00%. The result of students behavior observation shows improvement of students discipline, cooperation, bravery which in the first cycle is 80.50% and it improves in the second cycle to be 85.50%. Therefore it can be inferred that the implementation of the cooperative learning model of Numbered Head Together is able to improve the learning output of the fifth grade students social science in an elementary school. Keywords: Learning Output, Social Science, Numbered Head Together.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif Numbered Head Together. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batu Kembar kelas V semester genap tahun pelajaran 2015/ 2016 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 21 siswa, terdiri dari 12 siswa laki-laki dan 9 siswi perempuan. Prosedur penelitian dilaksanakan bersiklus yang terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pelaksanaan tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan satu kali pertemuan, setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial siswa meningkat dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata hasil belajar pada siklus I memperoleh nilai 65, dengan ketuntasan hasil belajar sebesar 50,00%, sedangkan siklus II memperoleh nilai rata-rata 74 dengan ketuntasan belajar 85,00%. Begitu pula dengan penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran pada siklus I sebesar 75,75%, meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 90,00%. Sedangkan hasil observasi perilaku siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pada sikap berupa disiplin, kerja sama dan keberanian yang diperoleh pada siklus I dengan persentase sebesar 80,50% dan meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 85,50%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Numbered Head Together dapat Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Pada Mata Pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial di kelas V Sekolah Dasar.Kata Kunci: Hasil Belajar, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial, Numbered Head Together.

Oral literature has an important function in life because it can reflect people's lives and instil a sense of love for their own culture. Oral literature is a cultural heritage of the region passed down from generation to generation which is narrated from mouth to mouth and has a noble value. The noble value contained in oral literature reflects the local culture of the tribe. Certain noble values must be continuously preserved and implemented in the life of society and state. The noble value as a form of character education, such as social values. Therefore, positive social values must be maintained. The social values as many ancestral riches are also found in Dayak Keninjal oral literature titled Batu Dara Muning. The social value that can be found in oral literature entitled Batu Dara Muning is the value of a mother's love for a child, obedient to parents, forbidden marriage, obedience to customs. To analyze oral literature Batu Dara Muning used an approach of a sociology of literature. The reason literature is a mirror of the lives of the people who own the story. Stories or events expressed in oral literature are sourced from events in society with the narrator's imagination. The character used in oral literature is not the name of the character in his tribe, but the name made by the narrator.

The purpose of this research was aimed to know about the affect of cooperative learning model type of think pair share based on multimedia against the competence social science knowledge of 4th grade class elementary school of Gugus Letda Made Putra at North Denpasar in the of year 2017/2018. This research was a quasi experiment with non-equivalent design. The population of this research was 393 students. The sample was taken by group sampling technique with disorganize class. The sample in this research was 4th grade class c elementary school 2 Dangin Puri as experimental group with 33 students and 4th grade class b elementary school 5 Tonja with 41 students as control group. The instrument which used collecting data which is validating objective test 36 rounds. In the end of this research gain score data normalization competence of social science knowledge analyzed with t-test. Of the analysis the result are significant difference between social science competence group experiment and group control. That things proven by result t-test that tcount = 6,193 > ttabel = 1,993 with significant criteria level 5% and dk = 72. Average competence of social experimental group x̅ = 0,59 > x̅ = 0,41 average competence of social control group. Then it could be learning model of type cooperative think pair share based on multimedia is affected with social science students competence fourth grade class elementary school of Gugus Letda Made Putra North Denpasar 2017/2018. Key Words: think pair share, multimedia, social science competence

Abstract : Character education plays an important part because it is not only about moral and value education. It has a higher significance of moral education, because it not only teaches what is right and what is wrong. More than that character education inculcate the habit (habituation) about good things and wrong, can feel (affective domain) good value and used to do (behavioral domain). So the character education linked closely associated with persistent habits practiced or implemented. It is commonly believed that the practices of English language teaching always accompanied by the insertion of foreign cultural values which are not always in line with Indonesia cultural values. The aim of this study is to improve students’ writing skill through integrating local culture material. Therefore this study focuses on designing and evaluating teaching writing material for English department students of University Muhammadiyah Metro. The result of this study shows that students have big interest and motivation in writing a text based on their local culture. The students also get moral value and character building through the material. It influences the students’ character in their daily life. Students become more polite, honest, diligent and religious.                                                                                                        Keywords: local culture, character education, writing.

AbstractThe study is to provide an alternative science learning model of an elementary school that can invite students to improve science literacy. As observations and questionnaires of researchers in a preliminary study at two elementary schools in the city of Cirebon, West Java, it was found that based on the average results of the initial analysis of scientific literacy tests of students from the two schools, an average of 85.7% showed negative results with the ability to answer the practice of science questions in the form of literacy, which means that students have not been able to answer literacy questions test. The research method uses model development the ASSURE development model starting with Student analysis; setting goals; choose a method, media / material, use media & material; activating student involvement as well as evaluations & revisions developed by Sharon Smaldino. As for the preliminary study conducted by analyzing 5th-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) PGM and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI)  An-Nur Cirebon as samples and also observing teachers from the two schools, so this research produces a SIBELPOLEN model for science learning, which consists of teaching syntax, teacher roles, support system, accompaniment impact, instructional impact and designing lesson plans that can improve Science literacy competence of elementary school students.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alternatif model pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di sekolah dasar dalam  meningkatkan literasi sains pada siswa. Hasil observasi dan angket peneliti dalam studi pendahuluan di dua Sekolah Dasar di Kota Cirebon Jawa Barat diketahui bahwa berdasarkan rata-rata hasil analisis awal tes literasi sains siswa dari dua sekolah tersebut rata-rata 85,7% menunjukkan hasil negatif dengan kemampuan menjawab soal latihan soal IPA berupa literasi yang artinya siswa belum mampu menjawab soal tes literasi. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan pengembangan model ASSURE yang diawali dengan Student analysis; menetapkan tujuan; pilih metode, media / material, gunakan media & material; mengaktifkan keterlibatan siswa serta evaluasi & revisi yang dikembangkan oleh Sharon Smaldino. Adapun studi pendahuluan dilakukan dengan menganalisis siswa kelas V Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) PGM dan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) An-Nur Cirebon sebagai sampel dan juga melakukan observasi terhadap guru dari kedua sekolah tersebut, maka penelitian ini menghasilkan model SIBELPOLEN untuk pembelajaran IPA. yang terdiri dari: sintaks pengajaran, peran guru, sistem pendukung, dampak pendampingan, dampak instruksional dan merancang rencana pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kompetensi literasi sains siswa sekolah dasarHow to Cite: Syamsi, A, M. Customary village is small group of people who still survive and consistently preserve the culture and belief of their ancestors. Local cultural values deserve to be promoted to the application of character education in school. The qualitative research understanding the life and local cultural values is carried out in the people of Kampung Adat Cirendeu in West Java. The local culture of the Kampung Adat Cirendeu people holds the principle of ngindung ka waktu and mibapa ka jaman which has the meaning of maintaining identity but still keeping abreast of the times. One of the local cultural values that still preserves until today is the culture of cassava-based food as a substitute for rice. This culture has been going on for a century and become an inspiration for the national food diversification program. One of the preservation efforts is through the example of their ancestors. Promotion and granting food culture values to the character education in schools involve various educational stakeholders (teachers, educators, governments, people, and customary peoples) that should give an example to the students. Penelitian kualitatif yang memahami kehidupan dan nilai-nilai budaya lokal ini dilakukan pada masyarakat Kampung Adat Cirendeu di Jawa Barat. Budaya lokal masyarakat Kampung Adat Cirendeu memegang prinsip ngindung ka waktu dan mibapa ka jaman yang memiliki makna mempertahankan identitas tetapi tetap mengikuti perkembangan zaman. Salah satu nilai budaya lokal yang masih dipertahankan hingga saat ini yaitu budaya makanan berbasis singkong sebagai pengganti beras. Budaya ini telah berlangsung selama satu abad dan menjadi inspirasi bagi program diversifikasi pangan nasional. Salah satu upaya pelestariannya yaitu melalui contoh dari nenek moyang mereka. Promosi dan pemberian nilai-nilai budaya makanan untuk pendidikan karakter di sekolah melibatkan berbagai pemangku kepentingan pendidikan (guru, pendidik, pemerintah, masyarakat, dan masyarakat adat) yang harus memberikan contoh kepada siswa. Metode yang paling efektif yaitu membentuk para siswa dengan karakter dan pada akhirnya mereka akan terbiasa dengan budaya makanan lokal dan tidak bergantung pada beras. Kata kunci: Pendidikan karakter, Kampung Adat Cirendeu, teladan.

The development of social studies learning model is based on classic batik local cultural value for improving the identity of Junior High School Students in Surakarta. Generally, the research is aimed to construct social study based on classic batic local cultural value to improve nation identity through using post modernism thought that views understanding a curriculum as a praxis. Based on the construction, this research is able to empower the researcher, social studies teachers and students. In order to construct the transformative curriculum as the praxis, four elements are used richness, recursions, relations and rigor. The integration of classic batik cultural value in social studies learning is based on the combination of cooperative learning model and value clarification. Knowledge and understanding to local and national cultural values will be manifested to nation identity. This research uses research and development approaches based on three main stages introductory study, model development and model validation. The data collection uses observation as well as interview guidance and study devices evaluation sheet. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative techniques. The main conclusion of this research outcomes is that Social studies learning model based on the developed classic batik art and cultural values model has met the study model development principles and it has been proven to significantly improve competency and strengthen student character and identity if it is compared to conventional model
