Background: In recent years, many states and municipalities have adopted official teaching materials to guide teacher practice. However, the relationship between the use of these materials and the continuing education of in-service teachers has been little investigated. Objective: To analyse how the development of the theoretical thinking of teachers about the multiplication of fractions impacts the choice, use, or adequacy of teaching materials. Design: The theoretical and methodological foundation is based on the historical-cultural perspective seeking, in the investigation of human activity, to understand the development of theoretical thinking. Setting and participants: Continuing education with a group of 11 mathematics teachers from the state public network of São Paulo. Learning triggering situations have been proposed to overcome discretisation in the approach to fractions. Data collection and analysis: Data were collected through video recordings, written material produced by teachers and registers in a field diary. Two isolated were organised for analysis “Movement of theoretical thinking about fractions” and “Didactic material as a mediator of the teacher's action.” Results: As they theoretically understand the meaning of multiplication between fractions, teachers overcome the mechanisation of rules and begin to reveal an understanding of the interrelationship of arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric elements in teaching. Conclusion: The development of aspects of theoretical thinking about the multiplication of fractions allowed teachers to organise teaching in order to make explicit the essential and theoretical relationships of the concept. Didactic material is understood as mediation in the teaching process and its use is no longer seen as an end in itself.

The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of teaching materials based on an open-ended approach to improve the reasoning abilities of fourth grade students in elementary schools. This type of research is research and development (Research and Development). The subjects of this study were 3 classroom teachers. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis (data reduction, data presentation and conclusion) and quantitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the results of stage 1 media validation, it was obtained 84.8%, and the results of stage 2 media validation were obtained 94.8%. The result of material validation for stage 1 was obtained 84.6%, and validation for material for stage 2 was obtained 93.3%. The results of initial field trials obtained media 93.7% and material 92.3%. This shows that the teaching material is declared valid and suitable for use. Based on the results of this study, the suggestion that can be conveyed is that teaching materials based on an open-ended approach can be used as a tool for teaching and learning resources for students.

The article discusses results of research carried out with the aim of analyzing teachers' meanings about professional training, both initial and continuing. The research is based on the ideas of Vigotski and Espinosa about human development, in which two teachers who work in the municipal public network of Teresina-PI participated. The research instruments were a questionnaire and semi-structured interview. The analysis had the nuclei of meanings as a procedure. The analyzes indicate that, if, on the one hand, in the initial training, the appropriate knowledge helped in the professional development of the teachers, on the other hand, the continuing education has collaborated to keep them in a passive situation in the face of educational demands, because they remain dependent to tell them how to act professionally. The results also indicate that continuing education has the potential to remove teachers from the condition of passivity when it collaborates with the development of the conscience of this professional, in short, with their historical development.

Este artigo apresenta reflexões sobre a necessidade de apropriação de conhecimentos matemáticos para organização do ensino, por um grupo de professoras dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Trata-se de um recorte de uma pesquisa de doutorado que investigou a relação conteúdo e forma na atividade de ensino em um processo de formação contínua. Os princípios teórico-metodológicos da teoria histórico-cultural, com enfoque na teoria da atividade e no método em Vygotski, fundamentam esta pesquisa, desenvolvida com a participação de professoras e coordenadoras do 1º ao 5º ano de uma escola em tempo integral da rede municipal de ensino de Campo Grande/MS. Durante o processo de formação contínua foram propiciados momentos de discussão de questões relacionadas com os conhecimentos matemáticos em si, análise de práticas pedagógicas, planejamento coletivo de atividades de ensino a serem desenvolvidas, além de momentos de socialização de experiências. Os dados analisados, a partir de situações vivenciadas ao longo do processo de formação, revelam a relação das professoras com a matemática e com o modo de organização de seu ensino, destacando a necessidade de discussão e de reflexão sobre os conteúdos matemáticos ensinados, de modo a possibilitar aos professores a apropriação de conceitos científicos, contribuindo, desse modo, para o desenvolvimento de seu pensamento teórico, o que possibilitará uma nova qualidade à atividade de ensino desenvolvida. Palavras-chave: Conhecimentos Matemáticos. Teoria da Atividade.Abstract This paper exposes reflections on the need for mathematical knowledge appropriation for the teaching organization, made by a group of teachers of Elementary School initial years. It is a fragment of a doctoral research that looked into the relation of form and content in the teaching activity of a continuing education process. The theoretical-methodological principles of the Cultural-historical activity theory - CHAT, focusing on the activity theory founded by Vigotski, justify this research. It was developed with the participation of teachers and coordinators from the first to fifth grade of a full-time city school in Campo Grande/MS. During the continuing education process there were moments to discuss questions related to the mathematical knowledge itself,  pedagogical practices analysis, collaborative planning of teaching activities to be developed, besides moments to socialize experiences. The analyzed data, obtained from situations experienced during the education process, reveal the teachers connexion with math and their  teaching organization method, highlighting the need for discussing and reflecting on the mathematical contents taught. Thus, it enables the appropriation of scientific concepts by teachers, contributing to their theoretical thinking development, and also providing a new quality to the developed teaching activity.Keywords: Mathematical Knowledge. Much of the didactic material of São Tomé and Príncipe for teaching and learning situations for early childhood education is not guided by interdisciplinary dialogue between design and education suitable to the country’s context. A proposal is presented for a system of objects that support the early childhood education curriculum, designed to be used as a guide and supporting material for preschool teachers of São Tomé and Principe and illustrates the various ways in which design can contribute to teaching-learning processes, strengthening knowledge building through the development of artefacts, environments, and education systems. This material is one of the outcomes of the project developed by the Interdisciplinary Education Design Lab¬ (LIDE), from PUC-Rio, Brazil, using the Design in Partnership methodology for the development of curriculum content for early childhood education. The project is being developed by researchers at LIDE/PUC-Rio, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of the Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, Africa, and UNICEF, and has other spheres of action, including the development of early childhood education curriculum content, ongoing teacher and assistant training courses, the recycling course offering for educators and assistants, the teaching materials project, and the redesign of physical spaces in kindergartens. RESUMO: O uso de estratégias didáticas na área de imunologia atuacomo um conjunto de instrumentos facilitadores do acesso aoconhecimento. Neste contexto, o nosso objetivo foi produzir materiaisdidáticos de baixo custo ou reciclados para abordar esta área de formainclusiva na perspectiva da surdez. Os produtos foram testados com 11surdos de um curso técnico em Análises Clínicas, observando-se aadequabilidade para o ensino deste público. Considerando que oprocesso educativo inclusivo de surdos deve permitir seu acesso plenoao conhecimento, este trabalho ressalta a necessidade de produção demateriais educacionais e formação continuada para os que lidam comeste público.Palavras-chaves: material didático especializado; educação inclusiva;ensino de imunologia.ABSTRACT: The use of teaching strategies in immunology acts as a set oftools to facilitate the access to knowledge. Esse texto tem por finalidade socializar as experiências vivenciadas durante a realização de uma das fases do Projeto de Extensão “Produção e Elaboração de Material Didático para Educação Ambiental a partir do Programa Biodiversidade nas Costas - PARNA Montanhas do Tumucumaque – Geografia” realizado no Laboratório de Pesquisa e Ensino de Geografia (LAPEGEO) da Universidade Federal do Amapá (UNIFAP). O projeto teve por objetivos, contribuir para a formação e o aperfeiçoamento de alunos e professores do curso de Geografia a partir da elaboração de um material didático voltado para práticas de Educação Ambiental e que partiu do Plano de Manejo do Parque Nacional Montanhas do Tumucumaque. Além das leituras e trocas de conhecimento, o grupo de pesquisadores realizou um Trabalho de Campo ao PARNA enquanto “repositório” de vivências e experiências geográficas com as paisagens, os lugares, os territórios, sujeitos, culturas e de práticas educativas nos campos do Ensino de Geografia e Educação Ambiental. Como resultados foram elaborados um conjunto de materiais didáticos, um GIBI (Quadrinho), jogo de tabuleiro e um Diário de Campo expressando e propondo narrativas geográficas sobre o Parque Nacional Montanhas do Tumucumaque a partir da experiência vivida. Hoje em dia a humanização é ponto de pauta nos encontros nacionais e internacionais da área da saúde. Assim, cada vez mais enfermeiros nas unidades de terapia intensiva tem se preocupado com a sua prática. O presente estudo foi desenvolvido com o objetivo de compreender, reconhecer e entender como o comportamento humanizado reflete ao paciente e identificar a percepção da equipe de enfermagem sobre o processo de humanização. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão bibliográfica descritiva com análise qualitativa, os dados foram coletados nas Bases de Dados de Enfermagem (BDENF) da Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS) e livros publicados no período de 2009 a 2012. O ambiente de cuidados em UTI precisa ser acolhedor, integrador e estimulador para todos os envolvidos no processo de cuidado e/ou sob o cuidado. A humanização não tem data e nem momento certo para acontecer, devendo estar presente em todas as ações dos profissionais no cuidado ao paciente, a despeito das barreiras encontradas. A educação permanente é uma importante aliada que pode contribuir de forma positiva para assistência humanizada.Descritores: Enfermagem, Humanização, Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Humanized nursing care to the patient in ICUAbstract: Today, the humanization is point to agenda in national and international meetings in the field of health. Thus, more and more, nurses in intensive care units were been concerned with its practice. The present study was aimed to understand, recognize how the behavior humanized reflects in the patient and identify the perception of the nursing staff on the process of humanization. This is a bibliographic survey with descriptive and qualitative analysis data were collected in the Basis of Data of Nursing (BDENF) of the Virtual Health Library (BVS) and books published between 2009 and 2012. The environment of care in the ICU needs to be welcoming, inclusive and stimulating for all involved in the care and/or under the care. Humanization is undated and not the right time to happen, and should be present in all the actions of the professionals in patient care, despite the barriers encountered. A  partir  de  uma  revisão  exploratória  da  produção  acadêmica  nacional e internacional   e   documental   no   Brasil,   este   artigo   discute   o   potencial   e   as possibilidades da Educação  a  Distância  (EaD)  no  desenvolvimento  de  processos formativos sobre drogas para professores do ensino fundamental e médio. Tal recorte se  justifica  pelo  acesso  e  uso  de  drogas,  principalmente  o  álcool,  entre  estudantes brasileiros na faixa de 13 a 15 anos e pelo despreparo dos educadores para abordar o tema  drogas  no  contexto  escolar.  A  partir  dos  achados  da  revisão,  são  elencados diversos  argumentos  sobre  as  contribuições da formação  continuada  de  professores da  rede  pública  sobre  drogas  na  modalidade  EaD,  que  visam estimular  a  sua implementação nas unidades de ensino do país.Palavras-chave: Drogas, Educação sobre drogas, Educação a distância, Formação de professores, Formação continuada. Drug Education: Possibilities of Distance Learning Mode in Teacher Training Abstract Based  on  an  exploratory  review  of  national/international  academic  papers  and documentary  production  developed  in  Brazil,  this  article  discusses  both  the  potential and  possibilities  of  Distance  Education  (EaD)  in  the  development  of  drug  training processes  for  teachers  from  elementary  and  middle  school.  Such  perspective  is justified by the access and use of drugs, mainly alcohol, by Brazilian students between 13 and  15 years  and addresses the lack of preparation of the educators to approach the  drugs  theme  in  the  school  context.  Based  on  the  findings  of  the  review,  several arguments  on  the  contributions  of  continuing  education  of  teachers  of  the  public network on drugs in the EaD modality are presented. To speed up urban economic development there is a need in radical transformation in the technological fields as well as in the field of mechanisms that encourage the creation and implementation of new technologies. The proposed chapter approach can become a methodological foundation of development and self-development of educational institutions on the principles of continuing education using digital technologies. The chapter deals with the methodology of creating a unified information educational environment, providing the implementation of lifelong learning, the development and implementation of educational models, programs, and media performed with the use of digital technologies. The chapter aims to develop conceptual approach to strategic control of continuing education, innovative development of regulation of educational institutions and to propose practical recommendations based on digital technology.

Este artigo tem por propósito apresentar o recorte da pesquisa de mestrado que analisou a compreensão do tutor, que atua no Ensino Superior, acerca da tríade da mediação. O referencial teórico relativo à Educação a Distância se pautou  nos documentos oficiais, que regulamentam a oferta desta modalidade de ensino entre Leis e Decretos, além de pesquisadores como Moore. Quanto ao conceito de mediação, apoiou-se  nas pesquisas realizadas por Masetto, Almeida, Moran, Freire e também no exposto nos referenciais de qualidade para a Educação a distância. A metodologia utilizada nesta pesquisa foi do tipo exploratória, de cunho qualitativo. Os procedimentos metodológicos foram estruturados na elaboração do instrumento questionário, aplicação e análise dos dados. A análise dos dados foi realizada em duas etapas: i. documental; ii.questionário aplicado aos participantes da pesquisa e relatos dos mesmos. Neste artigo se discute  parte da análise da segunda etapa, que descreve a atuação dos tutores em relação à mediação pedagógica, afetiva e operacional, tríade de mediação objeto de estudo dos tutores pesquisados. Os resultados evidenciaram que os tutores compreendem a importância da mediação em suas ações junto aos alunos, porém muitos ainda não compreendem a tríade de mediação como um processo contínuo e que os programas de formação continuada oferecidos pela instituição contribuem diretamente para o enriquecimento profissional de seus tutores. Palavras-chave: Mediação. Ensino Superior. AbstractThis article aims to present the outline of the master's research that analyzed the understanding of the tutor working in higher education about the mediation triad. The theoretical reference related to Distance Education, was based on the official documents that regulate the offer of this teaching modality between Laws and Decrees, besides researchers like Moore. As for the mediation concept, it was based on research by Masetto, Almeida, Moran, Freire and also on the quality references for distance education. The methodology used in this research was exploratory, qualitative in nature. The methodological procedures were structured in the elaboration of the questionnaire instrument, application and data analysis. Data analysis was performed in two steps: i. Documentary; Questionnaire applied to the research participants and their reports. In this article  part of the analysis of the second stage is discussed that describes the tutors’ role in relation to pedagogical, affective and operational mediation, triad of mediation object of study of the researched tutors. The results showed that tutors understand the mediation importance in their actions with students, but many do not understand the mediation triad  yet as a continuous process and that the continuing education programs offered by the institution contribute directly to the professional enrichment of  the students’ tutors. Keywords: Mediation.
