The article presents the results of an empirical study of intentionality of adolescents studying in the a specialized and basic educational program. Intentionality of the individual is considered in two aspects: time (temporal) and content. The temporal aspect of personal intentionality investigated by determining the type of time perspective using the questionnaire by F.Zimbardo, while content aspect investigated by determining the orientation of the person (focus on themselves, or on the interaction, or on the task, determined by B.Bass orientation questionnaire). The article marked features peculiar to two aspects of the personal intentionality of teenage students studying in classes with the specific and the basic educational program. There are differences in the time component of the personal intentionality in the «Positive past» and «Future» orientation types and in content component in "Focusing on the interaction" and "Focus on the task" types. The article confirms the hypothesis of significant differences in the characteristics of temporal and content components of the personal intentionality of the teenagers, interprets the results, and gives the prospects of the study.

The paper presents a theoretical and empirical study of gender and age characteristics of the content of time perspectives of persons who are in restrictive conditions of quarantine. Theoretical substantiation of the importance of forming a coordinated time perspective of the individual for its integration into the social system, includes an analysis of the structural and functional purpose and typological characteristics of time perspectives. The regulatory content of the time-space continuum of the personality in the conditions of deprivation is emphasized and the restrictive conditions of quarantine in the signs of multifunctional deprivation are outlined, which determine the content of the time perspective of the subjects of self-isolation. The purpose of the presented material is a theoretical and empirical study of gender and age characteristics of the content of time perspectives of persons who are in the restrictive conditions of quarantine and substantiation of signs of their life balance. Based on the analysis and theoretical generalization of the problem, a program of individual-oriented survey of persons in self-isolation in connection with the pandemic COVID-19, which includes testing methods and a set of methods for mathematical processing of results. Gender and age differences in the time perspectives of persons in restrictive quarantine conditions were noted: men of all ages are determined by the dominance of the time perspective of the hedonistic-fatalistic present, colored in men from 25 to 50 years by the characteristics of the negative past and transcendent future; and in men over 50 - the characteristics of the transcendent future; women (age range up to 50 years) are determined by the dominance of the time perspective of the future direction, and women over 50 years - the dominance of the time perspective of the negative past. The absence of signs of vital balance of the identified profiles of time perspectives is proved and the main vectors of formation of the optimal profile of time perspective are outlined: the vector of actualization of the future for males and the vector of activation of the present for the studied women.

Objective: To assess the knowledge of children who participated in an Oral Health Educational Program (OHEP) on the subject "tooth care”.Methods: The study was conducted on children aged 6 to 9 years, participating in activities developed twice a week in an OHEP during one academic year. Data were collected by redactions and drawings. Drawings were analyzed according to the methodology proposed by Taylor, Roth and Mayberry. The redactions were analyzed according to the citation of hygiene items and the content presented, taking as theoretical reference the content analysis of Bardin. Results: All children mentioned the toothbrush and toothpaste as oral hygiene items. As a negative aspect to oral health, candies were mentioned by 74.4% of children, with greatest citations of confections, chewing gum and lollipop. All redactions mentioned aspects of toothbrushing, such as frequency, technique and/or quality. The consequences of “not caring” were also present, and were related to dental caries, edentulism, halitosis, pain, and personal relationship. The reason for caring was also mentioned, and was related to the importance of teeth for the individual, and “clean”, “healthy” and “bright” teeth. Conclusion: The children presented satisfactory understanding on tooth care, evidencing the importance of oral health education programs for this population.

We provide a framework of analysis for Chinese ways of learning that extends beyond the individual level. The theoretical framework focuses on Confucian principles of xiào (孝, filial piety), guăn (管, to govern), and dào dé guān (道德觀, virtues), which leads us to argue that directive guidance as a cultural practice nourishes Chinese-heritage children’s learning as early as in infancy. To illustrate how directive guidance occurs in action for infants, we present an empirical study that examined the interaction of mother-infant dyads in Taipei, Taiwan, when they played with a challenging toy. The dyads co-enacted directive guidance more frequently than their European-American counterparts in the USA – through hand holding, intervening, and collaboration – while infants actively participate in the practice. We discuss the early development of strengths for learning that is fostered through culturally meaningful practices recurrent in parent-infant interaction.

Abstract An educational program was developed to assist beef producers with making informed bull purchasing decisions. There are two core pieces to this decision: targeting the bull’s genetics to the producer’s management and resources, and paying a price that maximizes the return on investment. This was a two-part educational program; the first session was classroom instruction with topics related to proper bull selection. At the conclusion of this session producers were assigned one of five management scenarios and received a sale catalogue with 60 bulls. Videos of all bulls were made available, along with all production information, including adjusted measurements, EPD and indices. The producers were tasked with returning the next week to attend the mock auction and purchase the best valued bull for their assigned scenario. At the conclusion of the auction, each scenario was discussed and the individual that purchased the best value bull in each scenario was recognized. Value was determined as the price paid for the bull compared to a price determined through an “economic selection index” equation. Beef producers (n = 322) participated in the program over 9 locations; in locations with less attendance, a reduced sale catalogue was used. Of the post-program survey respondents (n = 155), 71% were commercial beef producers, 27% were seedstock producers and 5% were Extension agents (n = 10, were cross classified). When asked how much time they spent reviewing the materials before the mock sale 8% said they made their decision at the sale, 16% spent 30 minutes or less, 58% spent 30 minutes to 2 hours and 18% spent over 2 hours preparing. When asked if the program would help with their next bull purchase, 88% said it would probably or definitely help. The conclusion was that this was a valuable educational program.

The study is devoted to the organization of the teaching/learning content of visual art and self-expression process in practice. The article, based on theory, explains creative self-expression in the context of pupil's meaningful learning, based on the new education policy and the developed guidelines in basic education. The individual experience of prospective primary school teachers and their understanding of self-expression in visual art has been clarified during the reflection and pedagogical observation in the study process in methods of teaching visual art which led to stating the research problem. The theoretical account offered in the article reveals pedagogical possibilities for prospective teachers to organize purposefully self-expression classes in visual art during the teaching practice so that the pupil, learning visual art without professional literacy in art, improved his/her transversal skills acquiring the experience of self-guided learning, critical thinking and problem-solving, innovation, cooperation, and civic participation.

This ten-year empirical study explores the nature of Chief Executive (CEO) leadership and coping in post-merger situations. Executives’ need to manage multiple organizational realities and various groups of internal and external stakeholders, often representing conflicting interests, whereby four separate albeit interrelated concepts come into play, namely managerialism (vs. leadership), the liabilities of success (success trap), excess of trust (blind trust) and global mindset. The paper purports that these concepts can be understood as functions of the degree of individual vigilance and social experimentation that a leader applies to the task at hand and introduces the individual vigilance/social experimentation framework.

The problem of the personal self-regulation and state of mind functioning are extremely relevant in the modern context. Ukraine’s reform contributions, which sometimes have a total and demonstrative nature, do not have enough constructive influence on the functioning of the individual, both in its internal dimensions of reality, and the implementation of its own professional work and stay in the professional environment. The article presents the results of research on the problem of frustration, describes the specifics of personal self-regulation and its types, based on the existing ability to understand the frustration, on the indicators of social and personal frustration. The frustration study was done in the context of its theoretical foundation and an empirical study of its state on a sample of adults. This gave grounds to establish multifunctional nature of frustration. It is about its specificity as a component of professional activity (activity context) and professional environment (interpersonal context). The necessity to prevent frustration in a professional team has been convincingly proved. It was determined that the object of the prevention should be reflection as a psychological mechanism of the awareness formation of the frustration by personality and the ability to establish its influence on professional activity and professional implementation in a professional environment. Along with this, the uncertainty, as a result of social frustration, and personal frustration, as the interdependence between the motivation of the individual, its relation to one’s own needs and desires and, as a consequence, the ability to search for one’s own social purpose.
