The present research investigated the contribution of Geoscience Education in environment studies developed at Escola de Aplicação EA/FEUSP, São Paulo. The research focused on teacher training to overcome the traditional education model based on a fragmentation of knowledge, thus contributing to curriculum integration. Environment studies, field notebooks and the relationship of educational methodology and geosciences knowledge in the school’s curriculum were analyzed. The approaches carried out in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of elementary school contributed to reorganizing the Science curriculum, including a geoscientific approach. The results showed the importance of geoscience education and the possibility of changes in the curriculum in promoting a more contextualized and integrated education, starting from the basic levels, to meet the school’s pedagogical policy plan.

Based on data obtained by the condition of elementary school teachers in Hulu Sungai sub-district indicated there is a decrease in teachers’ spirit at work. The Purpose of this research was to find: the effect of compensation and work motivation of elementary school teachers’ spirit at work in Hulu Sungai sub-district of Ketapang regency. This research uses a quantitative approach, where the pattern of relationship between variables to be studied using dual paradigm with two independent variables, that is to find the relationship of compensation (X1) with the spirit at work (Y), work motivation (X2) with spirit at work (Y), compensation (X1) and work motivation (X2) jointly on the spirit at work (Y). This research uses quantitative approach, where the pattern of relationship between variables and calculation using simple linear analytical technique and technique of doubled linear analysis. Result of the research based on 71 respondents showed that (1) There is significant effect of compensation to teachers’ spirit at work, 2) There is significant effect between work motivation to teacher’s spirit at work, (3) There is significant effect of compensation and work motivation against elementary school teachers’ spirit at work in Hulu Sungai sub-district of Ketapang regency.</p>

Aims: We examined the relationship between loneliness and health among young adolescents. We also investigated the validity of a single-item measure of loneliness by comparing this to a composite score. Methods: The current data come from a nationally representative sample of 11- to 15-year-old adolescents ( N=3305; F=52%) from Denmark collected in 2014 as part of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) collaborative cross-national survey. Results: A series of binary logistic regressions showed that higher loneliness among adolescents, whether measured using the single- or multi-item measurement, was associated with poorer self-rated health, higher frequency of headache, stomach ache, backache, difficulties sleeping, greater sleep disturbance and more instances of feeling tired in the morning. Those associations were relatively consistent across sex and age groups. Conclusions: Loneliness is associated with poorer self-reported health and sleep problems among young adolescents. Those findings are similar across two measures of loneliness, suggesting robust findings. The development of interventions and health-education efforts to fight loneliness in adolescence is important.

Alcohol consumption is considered a global problem, principally affecting adolescents. In this context, the aims of this study were to identify the pedagogical strategies developed by elementary school teachers in the approach to alcohol with adolescents; To analyze the attitudes, beliefs, values and practices of the elementary school teachers in relation to alcohol; To discuss the repercussions of the attitudes, beliefs, values and practices of the teachers about alcohol in the dialogue with the students and in the implementation of the strategies referred to above. This was a qualitative study performed with 26 teachers of a Rio de Janeiro public school. The data were analyzed through thematic content analysis and grouped into 5 categories. It was concluded that social imaginary and attitudinal construction of the teachers directly interferes with the personal and professional practice and has repercussions in the quotidian life of the students. It was noted that the focus should not just be on the students, but on the relationship of the teachers with their pedagogic strategies.

The type of research used is quantitative research with a literature study design. The literature used is literature published from 2013 to 2020. The results of data analysis show that there is a relationship between eating and breakfast patterns and learning achievement of elementary school children. The results of data analysis showed that there were 3 research locations, namely in Java 60% (6 articles), Sulawesi 30% (3 articles), Kalimantan 10% (1 article). Using correlation research 50%, analytic survey research 20%, and 30% other research. Data analysis was made in univariate and bivariate ways. The variables used in each study were diet, breakfast, and learning achievement. From this research, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between eating and breakfast patterns and learning achievement of elementary school children.
