The child's intellectual skills in dealing with the media are reflected in his or her media intelligence. However, the assessment of children's adaptation to life in the world of the media-sphere is difficult to make. The recognition of a pupil’s mediality, as well as its systematic development, may have a positive impact on the quality of education. Currently there are no tools in the educational system to diagnose pupils’ mediality. Therefore, there is a need to construct a useful indicator of the level of mediality, which may be a Mediality Quotient. In the cognitive perspective, it can become a tool that will contribute to the optimization of the educational process in the intellectual media environment. The aim of the article is to justify the purposefulness of conducting research on media skills of children and to present the assumptions for developing media literacy measurement techniques. The planned actions will allow to identify to what extent children acquire media skills and what is their statistical picture. The results obtained will be used to determine the coefficient enabling the measurement of media skills and their assessment in relation to the statistical average of pupils. Ultimately, the primary objective of developing a scale for measuring the Mediality Quotient of children will be achieved.

Semen cryopreservation allows crucial management of animal genetic diversity. However, the freeze-thaw process causes biochemical and physical alterations, impairing sperm energy-dependent functions. Currently, many chemicals are added to the media to enhance frozen-thawed sperm quality during artificial insemination. The aims of this study was to determine the effects of Metformin (Metf) on fresh chicken sperm motility and ability to perform acrosome reaction, and to evaluate Metf’s effects on the functions of cryopreserved sperm. Chicken semen was diluted and incubated at 35°C in media supplemented with or without different doses of 5’-AMP-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK) activator, Metf (0,5 to 5 mM). We then looked for the concentration improving the most sperm quality to use it in the cryopreservation media used for chicken sperm. Our results show that 1 mM Metf is the concentration giving the best results regarding sperm quality. AMPKα phosphorylation, viability, acrosome reaction ability (AR), and various motility parameters, were negatively affected by the freeze-thaw process, and that Metf partially restored them. Sperm quality improved (mean increased by 23% for motility, by 10% for viability) as well as AMPKα phosphorylation (mean increased by 30%). Moreover, fluorescent intensity levels of phospho-AMPK were also stronger with Metf than in the control. These results show that the presence of Metf in fresh semen has a positive impact on the quality of sperm and helps reducing the gradual decline in sperm motility caused by cryopreservation by partially restoring several essential sperm functions, and thus leads to a better overall quality of cryopreserved sperm.

Changing of media consumption in the digital age is the object of focus attention of both Russian and foreign researchers. Modern cultural studies note the increasing role of video content in the media environment. Taking into account current trends, libraries more often create their own video materials to implement various goals and objectives. Thus, creation of own video content is rapidly becoming an integral part of the work of modern library. However, despite some established experience of libraries in this area, there is still not enough research of general and theoretical nature on the content, guidelines and prospects for the development of activities related to the creation and use of library video content, and there is no its classification. The purpose of this work is to conduct analysis of the video content in libraries, identify the most common materials, as well as to determine the prospects for using this tool to reach their own goals. The article discusses definitions of the term “video content”. The author presents the main types of videos produced by libraries, their characteristics and features. Special attention is paid to video projects of libraries in Russia. The article reveals the experience of the Astrakhan Library for Youth named after B. Shakhovsky in using its own video content. The paper discusses the issue of classification of video materials produced by libraries. The author proposes the following classification of library videos: video review, virtual book exhibition, webinar (online seminar or web conference), interview, humorous video, webcast, event announcement, video report and booktrailer. The author indicates the main reasons hindering the demand for library video content among the wide range of Internet users and gives the rationale for the necessity and importance of this type of activity and proposes possible prospects for using own video content of libraries. Thanks to its presence, the library ceases to be a closed institution storing knowledge within itself that produces positive impact on its image. Using means of communication that are understandable to a person of visual culture, it changes stereotypes and demonstrates its modern capabilities.

In modern times, barbershop aka men's shaving places is the main choice of modern men to style their hair. The results showed that the popularity of Barbershop itself is due to the trend of the haircut, the classic hairdo. Classic hairstyle trends are also supported by the media which has a positive impact on popularity, hair fashion as a priority, knowledge about fashion is getting better, pomade trends. In general, customers want to get the best quality of services provided.Changes in customer haircuts or Barbershop customers are usually caused by changing trends or because they want to find new models that are more age-appropriate. The haircut catalog is a book that contains information on various haircut models that are made in the form of pictures and names of haircuts, where the names of haircuts are generally made in English. The problem that can occur in cutting hair is the lack of desires of the customer to the results of the hair stylist cut, it happens because the customer does not understand or do not remember the name of the desired haircut model. Crochemore Perrin's algorithm factored the right pattern so that pattern = right pattern left pattern. The matching phase of this algorithm consists of two parts, first matching the right pattern character from left to right, then matching the left pattern from right to left. Keywords: Barbershop, Android, Catalog, Crochemore Perrin

Media freedom is pivotal to the sustenance and consolidation of democracy, as the quality of democracy in any society depends on the level of freedom accorded the media and the plurality of views entertained (Diamond, 2008). The ability of the mass media to carry out their traditional functions of educating, entertaining and enlightening the public about their democratic rights, and holding governments accountable, will subsequently lead to the establishment of a strong democratic institution. Hence there is need to protect media freedom in any democratic society (Baker, 2007; Norris, 2008). The Nigerian media environment, however, is characterised by a series of laws such as sedition law, official secret act, amongst others, which have directly and indirectly hindered the freedom of the mass media and their responsibility of promoting and advancing democracy. This is made worse by the incomprehensive nature of the 1999 Constitution. Using interviews and policy analysis, this chapter critically examines the policy framework of media freedom in Nigeria and its impact on the operation of the mass media. The ability of the media to live up to their responsibility of promoting and advancing the democratisation process in Nigeria within the available framework is also examined.

The article describes the features of the introduction of quest technologies in closed educational institutions, we noted the positive impact on the quality of education, which is confirmed by the pedagogic experiment in the study of the discipline "Informatics". The effectiveness of the experimental work is the positive dynamics of mastering the taught material by the military students and the growth of their motivation to learn, as almost all their activities are clearly regulated by military regulations, including the types of training sessions and the forms of their conduct. Non-standard and creative classes bring diversity and liveliness to the measured educational process of future military specialists, but at the same time quest technologies help them master the decision-making process in an unusual situation, which is necessary in solving combat problems. The authors note that the introduction of such classes in the educational process of educational institutions of the closed type can accelerate the process of formation of universal competences aimed at the development of communication abilities of the individual, such as the УК 1, 2, 4, 5.

Continuing with the review of the most significant treaties between the USSR/Russia and China, the author highlights the distinctiveness and positive impact of the treaties of 1945 and 1950. The departure from them and the ideological rift of the 1960s and 1980s had dramatic implications for both powers. The author attributes special importance to the currently valid 2001 Sino-Russian Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation that mounted bilateral relations to an unprecedented high level. This even stimulated ideas either to supplement it with new articles or to conclude a new alliance treaty. While the idea produced discussions in the expert community and the media of both countries, the two parties have not shown readiness so far to enshrine in a legal act the newly acquired quality of bilateral relations. However, the escalation of U.S.-Chinese confrontation and the new "cold war" the West launched against Russia are calling for such a step, for the geopolitical prospects for Russia and for China are as closely linked as their past.

Education at this time is an important requirement in facing the demands of an increasingly advanced era in technolo-gy. To compensate this, the existing educational standards in universities must also be improved, this is a bit much affect the pattern of teaching from universities that produce qualified graduates who can compete in the world of work later and indirectly give a positive impact on the university itself. Qualified graduates are of course not only depending on the role of a university but also majors and quality of education as long as students are still in high school / vocational school also plays an important role. Results of the on-time graduation rate prediction research can be used as an information to im-prove the quality and optimization of the education system but it requires a maximum degree of accuracy. This research predicts on time graduation rates by conducting analysis using data mining classification techniques. Naïve Bayes algo-rithm that are used for this research will be discussed as a reference in conducting research. The author performs a series of different experimental scenarios / cross validation to perform comparisons that can give a difference in the level of ac-curacy gained from this research. The results of this research indicate that with the addition of Cross Validation testing scenario there is an increase of 2% accuracy of the test.

The article deals with the first experience of Bogomolets National Medical University's transition from modular to session form of organization of educational process for ECTS. Organisation of educational process is one of the most powerful tool to use and fine-tuning which directly displays the integrative results of activities of the institution of higher education. Thus, it was a question of the need to create a culture of quality in educational environment of the university using changes to the learning method as a key lever. There were made changes to the educational-methodical complexes of disciplines according to the peculiarities of organization of training students of the first year. After that an internal audit of the materials developed by the Departments was carried out. The main directions of the transformation of the curricula concerned the following aspects: introduction of winter and summer exam sessions; reasonable and well-balanced choice of final control form for each discipline taking into account the competent approach; introduction of intermediate (semester) control in disciplines, the study of which lasts more than one semester, in form of a transfer credit (attestation). At the level of university management the foundation for the development of successive changes in the responsibility of the departments for the production of better teaching materials and for improving the quality of education for applicants, and in the responsibility of students for learning outcomes was laid. The article gives convincing evidence of the positive impact of organizational changes on qualitative indicators of training: quality of success, absolute success of the entire contingent of first-year students and average grade of first-year students (contract form of training). It is shown that the transformation of the organization of training allowed to reduce the percentage of students with academic debts and the number of hours they heve missed, for Ukrainian and foreign students. The transformation of the organization of education into Bogomolets National Medical University became an effective tool for improving the quality of educational services in accordance with the current social request.
