The research is actuated by phenomenon of deterioration in the character of a person or group of community members who are generally influenced by the development of the times and advances of technology, imbalanced with the moral consciousness termed moral degradation. Moral degradation is a social problem that can have a negative impact on individuals, community groups, and the state. The purpose of this study is to reveal the existence of moral degradation in Ahmad Tohari’s novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk using a qualitative descriptive method, precisely selected as the object of research is related to social phenomena, namely symptoms or events that occur and can be observed in social life. The research is imperative to do as when morality of an individual or group of community members cannot be maintained as already shifted from a noble cultural, moral degradation arises which furthermore if uncontrolled can cause greater social problems. The data in this study are written data derived from phrases and sentences indicating the existence of moral degradation carried out by characters in the novel. Data collection is done by referring to the note-taking method. The results show that there are two points of moral degradation in this novel: human trafficking and hypocrisy.

Sharing is a Right for Humanity, with sharing we will feel enjoy and comfortable in living life, as well as in social life we are required to be more sensitive to the surrounding environment. With the culture of cash money we can help those who are less able and improve the welfare of the surrounding community. Squeeze money itself is a culture in Javanese society, where every citizen will be asked for donations sincerely in the form of money, rice, or others. After a lot of pinched money collected, usually the pinched money will be used for public interests and social activities. This article was written to explain about the culture of money squeeze and introduce it to the wider community, and to preserve Javanese culture that began to fade with the times. The method that the writer uses to study the money squeeze culture is a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. The results of this writing study hopefully will benefit the readers and can also be a literature in finding insight into the culture of squeezed money. The implications and can be a solution to social problems in the community, and are also expected to foster the nature of community awareness.

AbstrakMasalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu pentingnya strategi produk dalam menjalankan sebuah usaha agar mampu bertahan dan bersaing  dengan perusahaan lain yang sejenis dalam kondisi persaingan yang ketat dan perkembangan zaman yang sangat cepat. Strategi produk sangat diperlukan dalam mememenuhi tuntutan konsumen seperti meningkatkan kualitas, menciptakan merek, pelayanan serta jaminan terhadap produk yang ditawarkan agar usaha mampu berkembang. Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah usaha yang sedang berkembang dan telah mampu memasarkan produk bordirnya hingga menembus pasar ekspor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi produk bordir di Limpapeh”s Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Kota Payakumbuh. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriftif kualitatif, jenis data berupa data primer dan  sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisa model interaktif yang berkaitan dengan pokok permasalahan yaitu dengan model reduksi data, penyajian data dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu strategi produk yang dilakukan di Limpapeh”s Kebaya adalah dimulai dari menciptakan produk bordir yang berkualitas, desain motif bordir yang up to date dan kreatif, menyediakan ukuran yang special, memberi merek pada produk bordir, memberi kemasan yang menarik (paperbag) dan serbaguna, pelayanan yang cepat, tepat dan ramah serta pemberian jaminan terhadap produk border.Kata Kunci: strategi produk, pelayanan, bordir. AbstractThe problem in this study is the importance of product strategy in running a business in order to be able to survive and compete with other similar companies in conditions of intense competition and very rapid development of the times. Product strategy is very necessary in fulfilling consumer demands such as improving quality, creating brands, services and guarantees for products offered so that businesses are able to grow. Limpapeh's Kebaya is a growing business and has been able to market its embroidery products to penetrate the export market. This study aims to describe the strategy of embroidery products in Limpapeh's Kebaya, Kapalo Koto, Koto Tangah Simalanggang, Payakumbuh City. The research method uses qualitative descriptive method, the type of data in the form of primary and secondary data. The technique of collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out with interactive model analysis techniques that are related to the subject matter, namely with a model of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the research, namely the product strategy carried out at Limpapeh's Kebaya, are started from creating quality embroidery products, up-to-date and creative embroidery motifs, providing special sizes, giving brands to embroidery products, giving attractive packaging (paperbag) and versatile, fast, precise and friendly service and guarantee of embroidery products. Sosiolinguistik memberikan pengetahuan tentang code switching (campur kode). Analisis teks novel untuk memahami penggunaan campur kode penutur dapat dilaksanakan untuk pengembangan ilmu sosiologi bahasa. Metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam menganalisis temuan dan mengklasifikasikan pencampuran kode dari Novel Andre Herata Sang Pemimpi. Analisis data berfokus pada kalimat dan paragraf yang menunjukkan penggunaan pencampuran kode di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada satu jenis pencampuran kode yang ditemukan dalam novel Sang Pemimpi yaitu pencampuran kode luar (bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris) yang kemunculannya ada dalam bentuk kata, frasa, dan penyisipan klausa. Penggunaan dan jenis-jenis pencampuran kode yang ada dalam novel Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata meyangkut pencampuran kode; pada pencampuran berbagai unit linguistik, seperti morfem, kata-kata, pengubah, frasa, klausa dan kalimat, terutama yang berasal dari dua sistem tata bahasa yang berpartisipasi dalam sebuah kalimat. Dapat disimpulkan narator menggunakan pencampuran kode dari Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, dan pencampuran kode luar dari Bahasa Inggris; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Bahasa Arab. Abstract. Sociolinguistics gave knowledge of the switching codes. Text analysis of novels for understanding the interdiction of interpreting codes can be performed for the development of language sociology. The qualitative descriptive method of analyzing the find and classifying the code mixing of the novel Andre herata Sang pemimpi. Data analysis focuses on sentences and paragraphs that indicate the use of a code mixing in them. Studies have shown that one type of mixing code found in the Sang pemimpi novel is that it includes a mixture of outside codes (Indonesian and English) that appears in the form of words, phrases, and insertion of klausa. The use and kinds of coded blending in the book of Sang pemimpi Andrea hirata passes the mixing of codes; In the mixing of various linguistic units, such as morpheme, words, modifiers, phrases, clauses and sentences, especially those that come from the two grammatical systems that participate in a sentence. It could be inferred that the narrator used a code mixing from Indonesian, Malay, and a proprietary blend of English; punchbag, sprinter, fan, session, speaker, shock, slide dan Arabic.

The purpose of this study are (1) to describe the value of struggle in novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas by J.S. Khairen (2) describes the value benefits of internal struggle in novels Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas. The method in this research is using descriptive method analytic by reading, taking notes, and analyzing every sentence in the novel which contains elements of literary sociology. The data source of this research came from novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas by J.S.Khairen. The novel itself is produced from events social life of the community and the author himself. Therefore, the novel contains a variety the dynamics of life that occur in the community. This research is aimed at describes the sociological aspects of literature in the novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas J.S. Khairen. The form of data from this research is in the form of sentences in the novel that contain elements of the values of struggle. The results of this novel research are to describe (1) the value of the willing sacrifice (2) the value of cooperation (3) the value of patience and never give up (4) the value of unity (5) the value hard work. The benefits are (1) the value of self-sacrifice (2) the value of cooperation (3) the value of patience and never give up (4) the benefit of the value of unity (5) the benefit of the value of hard work.

However, along with the times, pesantren have not only opened religious-based schools, but also public schools that provide general knowledge (natural, social, and language) to their students. Educational formalities in pesantren were also proposed so that pesantren alumni could continue their education to public schools. There are three main problems in this paper by reconstructing the pesantren education system, as follows; (1) the relationship between pesantren and the outside world, (2) the relationship between pesantren and science and technology, and (3) the epistemology of Islamic Science in Pesantren Sains (Trensains).�The qualitative�descriptive method is the choice in this study. This research is a qualitative field study with case studies. In order to obtain comprehensive data and pay attention to the relationship between the data and the focus and objectives of the research, data collection in this study used three techniques, namely (1) interviews, (2) participant observation: (3) research documentation. Research activities in data analysis include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. From this research, it can be found that the interaction of science and technology with science cannot be denied. So pesantren must be prepared to deal with it. There are several Islamic boarding schools that have interacted with science and technology, both of which have greatly influenced the style of education, one of which is the Tebuireng Science Boarding School (Trensains). Santri are invited to study religion (Qur'an) as well as to study the verses of Kauniyah contained in it.Keywords: Interaction, Pesantren, Science, Technology

Abstract : On the implementation of the construction project, financing is the main consideration due to the number of large and vulnerable to various risks. Cost control is the beginning of the estimates. An inaccurate estimation could have a negative impact on the whole process of construction. Because of estimation is reference in preparing the budget and used as control of the cost of projects, then required to major risk analysis that can be used as a basis in the mitigation. This research was conducted with qualitative descriptive method by interviews and survey. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents using purposive sampling method, which simply selecting respondents who were competent and expert about the possible risks. The number of respondents was 25 who represent 8 construction project belonging to the government which is located in Denpasar. The results showed that there were 40 risks identified, from literature identified 16 risks and from brainstorming identified 24 risks. Than from 40 risks there are 34 major risks which was 9 risks classified as unacceptable and 25 risks classified as undesirable. Most dominant risks were the risks of estimator team and project. There were 16 mitigation measures at an unacceptable risk and 41 mitigitation measures at an undesirable risk. Most dominant risks were the risks of contractors and owner.

Cultural values ​​that have developed in people's lives lately have declined and began to be forgotten in social life along with the times. Therefore it is important to apply to someone to be able to communicate well from an early age, the role of primary schools is the easiest to implement culture. With that, applying 5S culture (Smiles, Greetings, Accost, Polite, Courteous) to students from an early age of primary school education to instill habits that build students' characteristics well. The purpose of this study is to maintain the importance of 5S cultural values ​​(Smiles, Greetings, Accost, Polite, Courteous) in elementary school education, building good characteristics of the school environment will have a good impact on the community environment. And the application of 5S culture (Smiles, Greetings, Accost, Polite, Courteous) in education. The study used a qualitative descriptive method by taking literature. By maintaining the 5S culture (Smiles, Greetings, Accost, Polite, Courteous) which are introduced from an early age will have a positive impact on the world of education.

 This study aims to describe the content of the novel Simple Miracles by Ayu Utami in terms of literary sociology studies. In addition, this study also sees its relevance to the learning of literature in high school grade XII. Novel Simple Miracles tells the spiritual story of the main character and his family in everyday life. In addition, in it also told about the relation of society related to religious, social, culture, and residence. This research uses qualitative descriptive method to describe the result of research of literary sociology on Simple Miracles novel. The results of this study indicate a social relationship between the character both in one family member and outside family members. It is that which indicates a relationship or social value in the novel. This novel also has a Javanese cultural value related to its birth and its inner death. The value of sociology literature study on social, religious, and cultural activities can be used as reference material in the study of literature in high school class XII in KD 4.1.

Human beings have a body and soul. Secondly it is activities move men to do well. However, in social life sometimes found personal experience psychiatric disorders. This phenomenon has become an object that can be used by an author's work. One novel that tells a psychiatric disorder is a novel work of Dewi Sartika Dadaism. The problems in this article is how a psychiatric disorder figures in the novel Dada Dewi Sartika work. The purpose of this study to elaborate on psychiatric disorders characters in the novel Dada Dewi Sartika work. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive study. Based on data analysis, psychiatric disorders experienced by characters in the novel form of Obsessive Compulsive Dadaism, psychopaths, and schizophrenia. Keyword: psychiatric disorders, character, novel Dadaism Manusia memiliki raga dan jiwa. Kedua hal tersebut menggerakkan manusia untuk melakukan aktivitasnya dengan baik. Akan tetapi, dalam kehidupan masyarakat terkadang ditemui pribadi yang mengalami gangguan kejiwaan. Fenomena ini menjadi objek yang dapat dijadikan karya oleh seorang pengarang. Salah satu novel yang menceritakan gangguan kejiwaan adalah novel Dadaisme karya Dewi Sartika. Rumusan masalah dalam artikel ini adalah bagaimanakah gangguan kejiwaan tokoh-tokoh dalam Novel Dadaisme karya Dewi Sartika. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini  untuk menguraikan gangguan kejiwaan tokoh-tokoh dalam Novel Dadaisme karya Dewi Sartika. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis data, gangguan kejiwaan yang dialami tokoh dalam novel Dadaisme berupa Obsesif kompulsif, psikopat, dan skizofrenia. Kata kunci : gangguan kejiwaan, tokoh, novel Dadaisme

Abstract  If Tomorrow Comes, a novel written by Sydney Sheldon, is a story of intrigue and revenge. Tracy Whitney is a young, beautiful and intelligent woman and about to marry a wealth man until, suddenly, she is betrayed, framed by a ruthless Mafia gang, and then abandoned by the man she loves. Only her ingenuity saves her and helps her fight back. The significant theme of the novel is suffering, which is the focus of the study with two major points of discussion: the causes and the effects of suffering, subdivided into avarice and loss of trust as a part of the first major point and courage, revenge and hypocrisy as the second major one. The study is conducted with descriptive qualitative method proposed by Dawson (2004) pointing out that qualitative descriptive research is appropriately used to analyze social phenomena. The result shows that the protagonist, Tracy Whitney, faces a lot of suffering from the beginning of the story; that is from the tragic of her mother’s death till she is out of jail. All the sufferings are triggered by avarice of a small group of bandits of white collars having a great personal interest who stand against Tracy and loss of trust from her fiancé, the one whom she expects to be with her in time of difficulty. Owing to her sufferings, Tracy becomes strong mentally but she also turns to be revengeful woman of significant hypocrisy. Keywords: suffering, avarice, trust, courage, revenge and hypocrisy.
