The capacity of women to become leaders has always been the main question questioned by various groups when the discourse on women's leadership develops in public, especially when debates are related to an Islamic perspective. For women who lead educational institutions, they must be able to lead the institution, be responsible for the achievement of the institution, and are also expected to become leaders and innovators in the institution. Besides that, one must also have leadership skills and human relations and leadership skills that are good to apply the model according to its characteristics, because the real success of an institution lies in the efficiency and effectiveness of the appearance of a leader. This study uses a qualitative approach to literature study methods. From the results of the author's analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) Women have the spirit, skills, and qualities that are not less than men; (2) Requirement for an educational leader is that the educational leader must be able to lead the organization/ institution, is responsible for the achievement of the organization/ institution, is also expected to be leaders and innovators in organizations/ institutions; and (3) both one's biological factor that men and women are not the main requirements in educational leadership

Meunasah is one of the basic levels of traditional Islamic educational institutions in Aceh. Which to date continues to be vehement with recitation and other civic activities. aims to find out the origins and the development of meunasah as a basic traditional Islamic educational institution in Aceh. This research applied a literature study by collecting various references. The results showed that meunasah had existed since the formation of the Islamic community in Aceh. The development of meunasah as a traditional Aceh Islamic education institution was only discovered during the period of Sultan Iskandar Muda (1607-1636).

Ali Bin Abi Talib once said that children should be educated in accordance with the  development of the times. The Ali bin Abi Talib’s statement could be considered as his attention more to the development of human civilization. For that reason, there should be studies focused on the role of educational institutions in facing the challenges of the times. On this stand, the writer raises the existence of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) for being considered to have been able to survive amid the onslaught of civilization increasingly obscuring cultural identity. In addition, this study also aims to identify and discuss the role of pesantren in the modern era. This is a literature study using a descriptive and exploratory approach. It can be concluded that pesantren are non-formal Islamic educational institutions. Pesantren have permanent and distictive methods and learning models. The purpose of pesantren education is the same as Islamic education in general, instilling a sense of virtue, familiarizing themselves with courtesy, preparing for a holy, sincere and honest life entirely. Pesantren could be seen from three aspects: (a) pesantren that are seen from facilities and infrastructures, (b) pesantren that are seen from disciplines taught, and (c) pesantren that are seen from the fields of knowledge.

Abstract This study aimed to investigate the extent to which school leaders practice the ethics of educational leadership to make decisions. A mixed-methods research design was used in this study. The quantitative data of this study were obtained from the participation of 260 teachers, and the qualitative data of this study were collected from nine school leaders. The questionnaire and the semi-structured interview were used to collect the data. The study was conducted during the school year of 2017-2018. The study found that the overall extent to which school leaders practice the ethics of educational leadership to make decisions was classified as “always occurs". The findings showed that there were statistically significant differences between participants with different gender and school levels on the overall and all dimensions of the extent to which school leaders practice the ethics of educational leadership to make decisions, while there were not statistically significant differences between the groups of the participants with different teaching experience. The qualitative findings provided some common factors that influence school leaders’ practice to making ethical decisions. These factors were explained based on two concepts including management knowledge and leadership skills as well as the context of school's culture.

This article focuses on equitable leadership and its intersection with related yet distinct concepts salient to social justice pertinent to women and minorities in educational leadership. This piece is rooted and framed within the context of the United States of America, and the major concepts include identity, equity, and intersectionality—specific to the race-gender dyad—manifested within the realm of educational leadership. The objective is to examine theory and research in this area and to discuss the role they played in this study of the cultures of four Black women, all senior-level leaders within the realm of K-20 education in the United States. This work employed the tenets of hermeneutic phenomenology, focusing on the intersecting factors—race and gender, specifically—that impact these women’s ability and capability to perform within the educational sector. The utilization of in-depth, timed, semi-structured interviews allowed participants to reflect upon their experiences and perceptions as Black women who have navigated and continue to successfully navigate the highest levels of the educational leadership sphere. Contributors’ recounted stories of navigation within spaces in which they are underrepresented revealed the need for more research specific to the intricacies of Black women’s leadership journeys in the context of the United States.

International feminist perspectives recognize the continuing inequalities of power between men and women across all classes (Adler & Israeli, 1988; Alston, 2000; De la Rey, 2005). In China’s male-dominant society, for example, women often have been inhibited from pursuing leadership positions (Wiseman, Obiakor & Bakken, 2009). Further, women’s access to leadership positions is constrained within many social sectors (Cooke, 2005). In school settings, there is no doubt that women have greatly contributed to the changing practice of educational management in China since 1980s ( Zhong & Ehrich, 2010). However, despite recent changes, women are still vastly underrepresented in educational leadership positions due to a variety of reasons, such as their adherence to traditional gender roles (Coleman, Qiang & Li, 1998). One particular reason that has been drawing increasing attention across the world is the lack of appropriate training and guidance in young women’s leadership (Su, Adams & Miniberg, 2000; Cooke, 2003; Barnett, 2004; Chen, 2005). This paper probes in greater depth one of the most important, yet largely overlooked aspects in the educational leadership of China – women’s leadership roles in education and young women’s leadership preparation.

The purpose of writing this article is to understand educational leadership. Leadership can be interpreted as a process of one's activities to influence, mobilize and coordinate individuals or groups in order to realize cooperative relationships in an effort to achieve the goals set. Educational leadership is a process of influencing, mobilizing and coordinating individuals in educational organizations / institutions to achieve educational goals. The Ministry of National Education (MONE) divides the function of educational leadership into seven namely; as an educator (educator), manager, administrator, supervisor (supervisor), leader (leader), innovator; and, motivator. The seven functions of leadership are often referred to as EMASLIM. Within the scope of leadership studies, there are types and styles of leadership, including: authoritarian leadership, democratic leadership, laissez faire leadership, charismatic leadership, paternalistic leadership and expert leadership. The method of writing this article uses a literature study which is to search for and collect material from various sources namely, papers, articles, books and journals that are relevant to educational leadership.

This study aimed to identify the ability of the educational leader to apply the principle of participation in decision-making and its impact on the achievement of the educational institution's objectives effectively from the point of view of teachers in the Zarqa Directorate (First) of Education and used the study method descriptive-analytical and the study tool (questionnaire) where it was distributed to a random sample of (110) teachers belonging to the Zarqa Directorate (First) of Education. The study found that the participation of educational leaders in decision-making received an average (2.84 out of 5) verbal (intermediate) ratings, and at the level of fields; Community decision-making average (2.90), teacher participation in decision-making for teachers themselves averaged (2.81) and finally teacher participation in decision-making on the teaching curriculum and teaching methods (2.72), all of which are estimated (2.84), and based on the results, the study recommended the need for teachers to participate in decision-making within educational institutions, which reflects positively on the work of the performance of the institution and improve the type of style possessed by the leader in the institution.

Diniyah education has been implemented by all educational institutions in Indonesia, starting from the lowest level, namely SD/MI to SMA/MA. Initially this diniyah education was implemented in Islamic boarding schools during the month of Ramadan. The aim is to foster morals, character, and strengthen worship for students during the month of Ramadan. The purpose of this study was to identify the role of diniyah education carried out in the world of education during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method is a literature study method with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the role of diniyah education can be measured through 4 things, namely increasing student religiosity, developing sustainable education and in accordance with the development of the times, being patient with calamities, and increasing husnuzon attitudes in students.

Information technology (IT) has an important role in carrying out the functions of universities, so that it can be trusted to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the academic process lead to the academic services being more maximal as well as supporting the university's business process innovation to develop. The Naval Academy (AAL) is one of the educational institutions found in the Indonesian Navy and has the task of producing professional Navy officers, possessing current technological mastery capabilities and towards World Class Navy. By referring to the desired results above, AAL uses information technology in conducting teaching and learning activities. The Information System available at the Naval Academy (AAL) is currently not optimal, therefore the authors conducted an analysis to plan the strategic development of information systems and information technology at the Naval Academy (AAL). This research was made using the Ward and Peppard method. The step of this research started with internal analysis, external analysis using PEST analysis, internal IS/IT analysis and external SI/IT analysis to map the information system position at the Naval Academy (AAL) with SWOT analysis. The results were the achievement of the IS/IT formulation strategy and management of IS/IT in the future

Private Universities that were established by society through nonprofit institution have autonomy in managing their finances. Autonomy gives rise to the diversity of Private Universities’ financial statement. The government provides a tax exemption facility for the remnant of nonprofit institutions engaged in education with certain conditions, regulated by PMK 80/PMK.03/2009. This research was conducted to analyze the effect of the quality of the financial statements of Private Universities  on the execution of the tax exemption facility. Research was conducted by literature study method. The result of the research shows that the quality of the Private Universities’ financial statements  affect the execution of PMK 80/PMK.03/2009. Therefore, financial statements standardization and remnant recording regulation for Private Universities is needed, in order to optimizing the execution of the tax exemption facility given to educational institutions and to make sure the facility is given appropriately. The data collection technique used is literature study. This research use qualitative methods  in analyzing data and facts about private universities’ management and the taxation policies of non-profit organizations.
