This article entitled culture of pesantren (madrasah boarding schools) in South Sumatra. This article is the result of research in Pesantren Nurul Islam Ogan Ilir South Sumatra. It is based on the fact that many pesantren graduation create academicians from the Kiayi or Ulama. Therefore, this paper describe the characteristics of the culture of madrasah schools from anthropology-sociology aspects of education, with a phenomenological approach to research subjects are madrasah chairman, board of teachers, students and community supporters. The data collection techniques used documentation study, observation and in-depth interviews, and analysis of data using qualitative descriptive, with triangulation and contrasting techniques. Applying local knowledge systems in boarding school curriculum and integrated with Madrasah boarding school curriculum. Orientation discipline tends towards positive law than the laws of Personality Syara’. Clothing the students follow a uniform generally used in madrasah. For students wear clothes instead of the veil of windings. Artistic activities undertaken include: litany, muhad Barzanji, Tilawah al-Qur’an, calligraphy, and drum band. Artikel berjudul budaya pesantren (sekolah berasrama madrasah) di Sumatera Selatan. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian di Pesantren Nurul Islam Ogan Ilir Sumatera Selatan. Hal ini didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa banyak lulusan pesantren melahirkan akademisi dari kiayi atau Ulama. Oleh karena itu, makalah ini menggambarkan karakteristik budaya dari sekolah madrasah dari aspek antropologi-sosiologi pendidikan, dengan pendekatan fenomenologis dengan subyek penelitian kepala madrasah, dewan guru, siswa dan masyarakat sekitar. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan studi dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara mendalam, dan analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan triangulasi dan teknik kontras. Menerapkan sistem pengetahuan lokal dalam kurikulum pesantren dan terintegrasi dengan kurikulum sekolah berasrama Madrasah. Orientasi disiplin cenderung ke arah hukum positif dari hukum-hukum syara'. Pakaian para siswa mengikuti seragam pada umumnya yang digunakan di madrasah. Untuk siswa memakai pakaian bukan kain. Kegiatan seni yang dilakukan antara lain: litany, muhad Barzanji, Tilawah al-Qur'an, kaligrafi, dan drum band.

Some people consider death events to be the ending part of life, so they regard death as a frightening event. This study aims to describe the near-death experience of the Javanese elderly in Rejosari Village, Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar Regency. The theoretical framework used is near-death experience according to Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. The study was conducted using qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. Data collecting techniques are carried out by in-depth interviews, observations, and library studies. The results showed that the five Javanese elderly studied underwent all stages of the theory of Elisabeth Kübler-Ross but the sequence was different. Four of the five research subjects already had an attitude of acceptance caused by a weak physical condition due to various decreases in the function of their organs.AbstrakSebagian orang menganggap peristiwa kematian merupakan bagian akhir dari kehidupan, sehingga mereka menganggap kematian sebagai peristiwa yang menakutkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengalaman menjelang kematian lansia Jawa di Kalurahan Rejosari Kecamatan Gondangrejo Kabupaten Karanganyar. Kerangka teori yang dipakai adalah pengalaman menjelang kematian menurut Elisabeth Kübler-Ross. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lima lansia Jawa yang diteliti mengalami semua tahapan dari teori Elisabeth Kübler-Ross tetapi urutannya berbeda. Empat dari lima subyek penelitian sudah memiliki sikap penerimaan yang disebabkan oleh kondisi fisik yang lemah karena berbagai penurunan fungsi organ tubuhnya.

The phenomenon of the development of the veil in Indonesia, especially among higher education has become a concern lately. This is due to the view of the public about the relationship between the use of the veil with the influence of certain ideologies. This research aims to determine the reasons and motivations for the use of the veil among female students, perceptions received in the surrounding environment, and obstacles encountered. This research uses a phenomenological approach as part of qualitative research. Participants in this research were 12 female students from private universities in Yogyakarta. The method of in-depth interviews using interview guide instruments becomes a technique in collecting data. Data analysis using semantic reduction is done by identifying important statements from the results of the interview, determining the theme of the discussion, and describing the significance of the whole experience of veiled students. The results showed that there were five main themes in the use of the veil in higher education, namely the average age of female students who used veil, motivation and reasons for using a veil, perceptions from within themselves and their environment, constraints encountered, and consistency in wearing a veil. Some of the findings obtained are certainly new references that need to be further developed. Therefore, knowledge about Islamophobia especially the perception of the phenomenon of the veil is important for educational institutions in determining policy and for the community to be a reference in dealing with the phenomenon.

Adolescence is a period where the transition from childhood to adulthood, not only that they also do not form physical maturity (hacking) but will also lead to social-psychological maturity, among others, towards maturity and independence (Ruwaida, 2006 ) This study uses a qualitative method to describe stress management coping in adolescents as a result of parental divorce through a phenomenological approach which focuses on finding facts of human behavior based on the informant's perspective. Methods of collecting data through in-depth interviews and completed with field notes. The research subjects were teenagers whose parents divorced with the age limit (15-22 years) the number of subjects in this case study was 14 (fourteen) people in Ternate City. The behavior and culture of life of informants due to not being able to manage stress and accept family conditions, there is no visible achievement of the informants for regional economic development. very influential in regional development considering that the younger generation is the successor of the nation and state development. The results of this research indicate the condition of adolescents who experience problems such as this affect the development of development when viewed from the achievements that should be owned by the younger generation.

<p><em>This study is titled the method of planting social value in santri at the Salafiyah Islamic Boarding School RW 02, Sidorejo sub-district, Salatiga city in 2018. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with 45 research subjects as kyai and santri. Data was collected by observation, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the method of planting social values used was the Sorogan and Bandongan methods. The embedded social values include discipline, empathy, respect, caring, and tolerance. The implementation of the social values of santri in community activities is to become a TPA worker, a large study committee and mutual cooperation.</em></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong><strong>  </strong><em>social values, santri, islamic boarding schools, community activities</em></p>

This  Research  was aimed  to determine the construct and  implementation  of the concept of religious tolerance in Darut Taqwa boarding school Pasuruan led by Kyai Sholeh  Bahruddin. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, whereas the method of  data collection used  in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this study showed that: Construct of Kyai Sholeh thought about pluralism and religious tolerance, which is also the foundation for the <br />policy programs at Darut Taqwa boarding school, can be categorized in the inclusive of thought and  attitude, which is believe in the existence of truth and salvation  of other religions but the highest safety standards of truth remain in their own religion. Kyai Sholeh while promoting the truth of Islam as a religion, but He did not reduce its respect for other religions  and not be an impediment to establishing religious tolerance in public life.  Kyai  Sholeh  thought  of religious tolerance is also well applied in  His policies  in managing the boarding school and formal education institutions, which is able to be a reflection of Islam and Islamic  boarding school which are inclusive and rahmatan lil alamin.

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the contribution of the pesantren curriculum in improving the quality of students' reading and writing skills at the Mardhatillah al-Mumtazah and Daar el-Ulum Saketi Pandeglang Islamic Boarding School. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research, and through educational and sociological approaches. The research location was conducted in two Islamic boarding schools, namely Mardhatillah al-Mumtazah and Daar el-Ulum, Saketi district. Results and discussion, namely the curriculum design of the Mardhatillah al-Mumtazah Islamic Boarding School in improving the ability to read al-Qurán is by applying the Tahsin model and adjusting it to the objectives expected by the boarding school to improve reading and writing skills. Meanwhile, the pesantren curriculum model in improving writing skills is the Imla 'model with the imla method of copying and listening to readings. The Daar el-Ulum pesantren curriculum model in improving reading skills is the Tahsin model. Meanwhile, the Daar el-Ulum Islamic boarding school curriculum model in improving writing skills is the Imla 'model, with the imla writing method moving, copying and listening to readings or sentences from a media. In this case there is a slight difference in the method and subject matter. As for the implementation of the pesantren curriculum in improving the ability to read and write al-Qurán at the Mardhatillah al-Mumtazah Islamic Boarding School, namely privately or individually, classically and in groups. By using predetermined teaching methods and predetermined material and evaluation. Whereas in the Daar el-Ulum Islamic Boarding School the implementation is the same as the Mardhatillah al-Mumtzah Islamic boarding school individually or privately, classical or in groups, with the teaching method that has been adjusted.

This research is aimed to investigate in this research to know how the implementation of the values of religious tolerance in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 1 Amparita, The support and inhibiting factors and how the implementation of the values of religious tolerance in learning PAI at the school. This research is a qualitative descriptive method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection in this research is the observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and triangular. While analyzing data is obtained by the researcher using reduction data, presentation data and verification data. The result of the research shows that the implementation of the values of religious tolerance in PAI learning at SMP Negeri 1 Amparita is done by 1) Giving an opportunity to all students to follow the teaching of religion based on their religion, 2) Creating a tolerant climate in each lesson ( learn the different, creating an mutual trust, maintaining an mutual understanding, Revering an mutual love). 3) Make deeper related the material ( values of tolerance). The supporting factors including The government policy that has given the rules about embed the values of tolerance among religions, There is adequate facilities, the establishment of cooperation between the school community in religious activities. As for the inhibiting factors including the level of ability, The students have a different an emotional maturity, the school lacks educators Hinduism, the school lacks facilities (instructional media), limited time in learning. The success of the implementation of the values of religious tolerance in PAI learning is all the students who Moslem able to work together without discriminating against religion. The students have a high faith (religious), the students and teachers can be tolerance for each other, the students and teachers have a democratic character, The creation of harmony and good solidarity.

<em>This study aims to describe how to instill the value of religious pluralism at An Najah Student Boarding School Purwokerto and analyze how the student efforts in tackling religious conflict. The methodology used in this research is qualitative descriptive methods. In this study, several conclusions were drawn that the Kiyai at An Najah Islamic Boarding School instill the value of religious pluralism for santri through various activities either written  in the Islamic boarding school curriculum or not. Efforts made by santri to overcome conflicts between religious communities are by following organizations based on harmony and being tolerant towards all religious communities. A good understanding of a student towards religious pluralism makes them always able to select which behavior should be carried out and not cause religious conflict.</em>

This study aims to determine the communication behavior of the kyai with the community at the Nurul Yaqin Islamic boarding school. The focus of the problem of this research is the communication behavior of the kyai with the community at the Nurul Yaqin Islamic boarding school. Researchers used a qualitative study research method with a phenomenological approach. Descriptive method is intended to describe systematically, factually and accurately about the data. Qualitative research aims to gain an authentic understanding of people's experiences, as perceived by the people concerned. The data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews, observation, and document collection. Sources of data are the results of interviews, observation findings in the Pariaman area, and documents with relevance. The technique of determining informants using snowball sampling, in this study is Kyai and the community. The research was conducted at the Nurul Yaqin Islamic boarding school in Padang Pariaman Regency. Kiyai (Buya) teaches religious behavior towards the people of lightness, such as worshiping Allah SWT, respecting each other, and not doing bad deeds that harm others. From religious values, Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School places more emphasis on aspects of the faith as well as other religious fields. This study concludes that the kyai's communication behavior with the Nurul Yaqin Islamic boarding school community.

<p><em>The purpose of this study was to determine the character values contained in traditional games in the 4th grade elementary school curriculum 2013. This study used a qualitative descriptive study with a phenomenological approach. This study describes events or phenomena with data in the form of words. Methods of data collection using observation and documentation. The data validity technique uses source triangulation. The data analysis technique uses data collection, data selection, conclusion drawing, and validation. The results showed that 13 traditional games in the 4th Grade Elementary School Student Book published by the Ministry of Education and Culture were gobak sodor, forts, engklek, kasti, marbles, tug of war, woodpeckers and insects, fish, frogs and lizards, hunters and the Javan rhinoceros. , build punden terraces, gangsing, enggrang, and sepak takraw containing values of honest character, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, respecting achievement, friendly/communicative, peace loving, social care, and responsibility.</em></p><p> </p>
