The diet of the majority of the population of Russia is characterized by an insufficient content of a number of micronutrients, including macro- and micronutrients. The aim of the study is to characterize in a rat model experiment the effect of combined nutritional deficiency of calcium, magnesium and iodine on the availability of other mineral substances, vitamin metabolism and biochemical parameters blood plasma. The lack of minerals in growing Wistar male rats with an initial body weight (51.4 ± 0.5) g was created for 23 days by halving of a calcium, magnesium and iodine in the salt mixture. Alimentary deficiency of calcium, magnesium and iodine in growing rats significantly and multidirectionally affected the metabolism of other minerals and vitamins, as well as a number of diagnostically significant indicators of blood and urine. In rats of the experimental group, the liver concentration of α-tocopherol, vitamin B1 and retinol palmitate decreased, the concentration of iron and zinc increased, the copper content in the whole brain decreased significantly. The molar ratio of γ- and α-tocopherols in blood plasma was increased, the concentration of the circulating form of vitamin D decreased. The ratio of AlAT / AsAT (de Ritis coefficient) markedly decreased due to increased activity of AlAT. Phosphate reabsorption decreased slightly. Increased urinary excretion of riboflavin was accompanied by a decrease in its concentration in blood plasma. The conclusion that insufficient intake of calcium, magnesium and iodine may disturb vitamin-mineral status of organism has been made.

There is no standard as to treatment of anthracycline chemotherapy complications. The reduction of cytotoxic drugs toxicity without weakening of their antitumor action remains relevant. The extracellular matrix which key component is fibronectin is present in all tissues and it continuously undergoes controlled remodeling. So, the purpose of our work was to study the level of fibronectin in the experimental model of doxorubicin-induced cardiomyopathy and effects of this cytostatic and its co-administration with antioxidants of different nature. The level of fibronectin was measured by ELISA using monospecific antibodies against fibronectin (Sigma, USA), secondary anti-IgG labeled with horseradish peroxidase (Sigma, USA) and fibronectin standard (Sigma, USA). The study was conducted on Wistar male rats with weight of 210 ± 50 g which were divided into 4 groups by 8 animals in each group: 1 – control, rats receiving saline i/p; 2 – doxorubicin 1 mg/kg i/p once a week during 4 weeks; 3 – doxorubicin by the same scheme plus 1% 2-oxoglutarate in drinking water during 4 weeks;4 – doxorubicin by the same scheme and korvitin injection 30 min before doxorubicin application once a week during 4 weeks. Obtained data indicate the effect of doxorubicin to decrease in index mass heart in 38% of animals compared to control animals; decrease in total protein concentration by 8% (Р < 0,05) and increase of the level of fibronectin by 67% (P < 0,001) in blood plasma of rats and decrease in the level of fibronectin in the heart extract by 19% (Р < 0,05) under development of doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity. Increased fibronectin concentration in blood plasma had strong correlation with decreased total protein concentration in blood (r=0,80) and heart extract (r=0,59) in rats with doxorubicin-induced cardiomiophaty indicating the sensitive reaction of fibronectin to development of metabolic disorders under doxorubicin influence.

Objective: to analyze the pool of free amino acids and their nitrogen-containing metabolites of blood plasma of animals being administered lead acetate for 21 or 28 days. Material and methods. The experiments were carried out on white male rats with the initial weight of 140-160 g. During the experiment the animals received a total amount of 0.67 g of lead acetate (21 days), the second group - 1.12 g (28 days). The determination of free amino acids in blood plasma was performed by the method of reversed-phase HPLC. Results. As a result of the research it has been found out that the most significant contribution to the formation of the amino acid imbalance in blood plasma as a result of the long-term intake of lead acetate according to the value of the Fisher test is caused by changes in the concentrations of α-aminobutyric acid, isoleucine, aspartate, arginine, glycine, serine, histidine, and methionine. Conclusion. The long-term intake of lead acetate with drinking water leads to a statistically significant increase of general content of free amino acids and their nitrogen-containing metabolites, as well as to a decrease of the concentration the essential amino acid threonine in blood plasma.

It is examined the effects of high levels organic selenium (selenium yeast) on body weight, concentration Se in blood plasma and mortality of chickens. The experiment is carried with 100 Hybro chickens, which are divided in 5 groups. The experiment lasted 42 days. Chickens are fed with standardized diets in which are added 0, 2, 5, 10 or 15 mgSe/kg diet. Chickens fed with 2 mgSe/kg diet (group II) by seventh day to the end of fourth week are registered the important higher body weight in relate to I group (P<0,05*; P<0,01**). At the end fifth week chickens of II group had a little higher body weight than the chickens of first group, but at the end of sixth week their body weight were the same. The chickens of III group had (5 mgSe/kg feed) had until fifth week of experiment higher body mass in relate to chickens first group, but this differences were not statistical significant (P>0,05*). At the end of the experiment (sixth week) the their body weight was little lower then body mass chickens of first group. Chickens of IV and V group (10 and 15 mgSe/kg feed) had little higher increasing than chickens first group until fifth week of the experiment, but at the and of the experiment chickens IV group had lesser body weight, and chickens of V group bigger body mass then chickens of I group. The concentration of selenium in blood plasma of chickens fed with high levels of organic selenium (groups II, III, IV and V) was importantly higher (P<0,05*; P<0,01**) with all experimental periods in relate with I group. The concentration of selenium in blood plasma was increased with increasing of level of selenium in diet and time exposure. The highest level of selenium in blood plasma are established at the and of experiment (sixth week), with all experimental group. There were not effects on mortality of chickens fed of the high level organic selenium.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of increased levels of prolactin (PRL) on the concentration of immunoglobulins in the blood, colostrum and milk of mares. The study was conducted on 12 mares of the Polish Pony breed (6 in the control and 6 in the experimental group). To induce hyperprolactinaemia in mares of the experimental group, 750 mg sulpiride was administered orally once a day. The initial PRL concentration was 52.22 ± 11.21 ng/ml in the control group and 49.39 ± 10.12 ng/ml in the experimental group. In the subsequent days, the concentration of PRL dynamically changed. Statistical analysis showed highly significant differences (P < 0.01) between the groups. The concentration of immunoglobulins in the blood plasma was at the same level during the experimental period (32.97–29.08 mg/ml in the experimental group and 28.60–18.11 mg/ml in the control group). Statistical analysis showed highly significant differences between the groups in blood plasma immunoglobulin level (P < 0.01). The highest immunoglobulin concentration was obtained within 12 h after parturition in the control and the experimental group (23.49 ± 2.12 mg/ml and 26.94 ±1.72 mg/ml, respectively). The lowest values were obtained on day 12 after parturition in the experimental group (10.15 mg/ml ± 1.47 mg/ml) and on day 7 after parturition in the control group (14.30 mg/ml ± 2.48 mg/ml). In conclusion, this study did not provide evidence that the lactogenic hormone prolactin is involved in the transfer of immunoglobulins into the colostrum in horses.

Introduction and aim. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the most common non-infectious diseases, in which arterial hypertension (AH) is progressing. The mechanisms of AH in CKD are complex and understudied. This research was conducted with the objective to investigate the mechanisms of microvascular tonus increase in the group of patients with the 5th stage of CKD who were treated with peritoneal dialysis. Materials and methods. Patients from dialysis department were included in the study (76 people). Blood flow in microvessels was measured by laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF). Results of LDF used for the calculation of neurogenic (HT), myogenic (MT) and endothelium-dependent tonus (EDT) microvessels. Cardiotonic steroid concentration in plasma was measured by competitive immunofluorescence using antibodies to ouabain and marinobufagenin. The activity of Na/K-ATPase was measured by spectrophotometry. Results and discussion. HT microvessels in patients with CKD was increased by 21.4±3,88 %, MT - 33.4±5,62 %, EDT 17.1±3.14 % compared with the control group. Endogenous ouabain (EO) concentration in plasma of patients with CKD was on average 0.311±0.032 nM/L, in the control - 0.296±0.031 nM/L. Marinobufagenin (MBG) concentration in the plasma of patients with CKD was 2.10; 0.89; 3.07 nM/L (median, 25th and 75th percentile), and in control - 0.347; 0.103; 0.427 nM/L. The activity of Na/K-ATPase in patients with CKD was 1.54±0.18 μmol Pi/mL/hr, vs. 3.07±0.44 μmol Pi/mL/h in the control. The correlation between the value of MT of microvascular and MBG concentration in blood plasma of patients with CKD was found (rs = 0.736). Conclusions. Our results show that high NT of microvessels of patients with CKD and is connected with increased activity of the central structures of the sympathetic nervous system, while increase of EDT is connected with endothelial dysfunction and increase of MT is connected with increasing concentration of MBG (not EO) in blood plasma. We believe that the MBG causes contraction of smooth muscle cells of blood vessels by activating signaling function of Na/K-ATPase.

Relevance. The chronic stress influences on increasing of frequency of thyroid pathology together with other factors (decreased iodine intake in food, harmful factors of external environment, high technogenic loading, depravation of general ecological state, violation of structure of nutrition). The changes of hypothalamus-hypophysis-thyroid gland axis at stress is not enough agreed because of influence stressful factors with different character and duration. Objective is study of influence of chronic emotional painful stress (CS) on the changes of morphofunctional state of thyroid gland (TG) on the background of experimental hypothyroidism (EH). Materials and methods. Experiments were performed on 48 white laboratory sex matured male rats. Animals were divided on four groups: the fist – intact animals; the second – animals with EH; the third – animals under influence of CS; the fourth – animals with EH under action of CS. The EH was modeled by everyday addition of mercazolilum (dose 10mg/kg) to drinking water during 15 days. The CS was modeled by 1 hour per day during 30 days. The functional activity of TG was estimated by the concentration of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxin (T4) in blood plasma and calculation of thyroid index (TI). The morphological state of TG was studied by light and electron microscopy. The statistical analysis of results was processed using Student’s test with Bonferroni-Holm correction in program Statistica 6.0. The differences were statistical significant at р<0,05.             Results. The long-term influence of stress factors caused significant decreasing of level of thyroid hormones in blood plasma in comparison to intact animals. The data of light and electron microscopy of TG of rats under influence of CS confirm biochemical changes and detect signs of decreasing of secretory function. On the background of action of mercazolilum the long-term stress caused to more substantial changes of functional state of TG (significant increasing of level of TSH, decreasing of content of T4 and TI) in comparison to data of animals with EH. The structural features of TG of animals with EH under influence of CS indicate on suppression of function. Conclusions. Decreasing of synthesis of hormones by TG in rats at conditions of CS was detected. The long-term action of stress on background of hypothyroidism causes to more substantial depravation of thyroid profile.

Introduction. It was studied the lipid composition of the blood plasma of rats under the impact of a hyper cholesterol diet with a high fat load. It was carried out the prevention of disturbances in blood plasma biochemical parameters with a lipid complex from the tunic of the marine hydrobiont Halocynthia aurantium. Materials and methods. The experiment was carried outwith outbred male rats weighing 200 ± 3 g.The experimental model of a hyper cholesterol diet with a high fat load with the development of dyslipidemia was set up by feeding the animals with ahigh fat diet consisting of 2% cholesterol and 20% beef fat from the total diet. The animals were divided into the following groups of 10 rats each: group 1 - control (standard diet), group 2 - dyslipidemia (hypercholesterol diet with high fat load), group 3 - dyslipidemia + lipid complex from ascidia. Results. It was shown that the influence of the diet was accompanied by an increase in the amount of total lipids in the blood plasma of rats, cholesterol, low-density lipoproteins (LDL), as well as a decrease in total phospholipids and high-density lipoproteins (HDL), which is considered as an indicator of the formation of dyslipidemia. The contents of phospholipid lysofractions increased due to the activation of phospholipases. The amount of fatty acid esters and cholesterol esters decreased, which indicates the inhibition of esterification processes. The imbalance in the phospholipid spectrum of blood plasma occurred: the amount of metabolically active fractions required for the functioning of membrane-bound enzymes decreased. The addition of a lipid complex from the tunic of ascidian purple into the diet was accompanied by a pronounced prophylactic effect, which manifested itself in the normalization of the studied biochemical parameters. The lipid complex containing a wide range of “sea” phospholipids and polynonsaturated fatty acids of the n-3 type is an important basis for application as prophylactic in the conditions of a hypercholesterol diet with a high-fat load. Conclusion. Application of the lipidic complexes containing the “sea” lipids allocated from a tunic of the ascidian purple can be useful and perspective at a dislipidemiya and a hypercholesterolemia that will allow to carry out effective prevention of violations of metabolic reactions at influence of hyper high-calorie food.

Introduction: Drug-induced hepatitis is common in clinical practice. This problem is particularly relevant in the treatment of tuberculous infection, because for this purpose, up to 5–6 hepatotoxic drugs are used simultaneously for a long time, which often (in 15–20% of cases) leads to medical liver lesion. To protect the liver, Semax and Selank are offered – drugs of regulatory peptides group. Materials and Methods: The research was conducted on 96 outbred white male rats weighing 180–220 g. The experimental group included about 10 animals. Drug-induced hepatitis was simulated through the combined 21-day administration of isoniazid, rifampicin and ethanol. Semax and Selank, as well as Essentiale N and Mexidol (comparison drugs) were administered once a day during the experiment. Healthy control animals with experimental hepatitis were used for comparison. Subsequently, the obtained biochemical and histomorphological parameters were evaluated. Results and Discussion: In the experiment, Semax and Selank showed a greater therapeutic activity than the recognized hepatoprotectors – Essentiale and Mexidol. Only in the case of administering Selank and Semax, there was parallelism between the restoration of biochemical parameters of blood and histomorphological parameters of the liver. Selank was also characterized by an increased activity of regenerative processes. Conclusion: Administering Selank and Semax to patients with tuberculosis would significantly reduce the number and severity of hepatotoxic reactions.

The aim of the study was to find out the effect of casting of citrate nanosіlicon absorption and metasilicate sodium on the hematological parameters and lipid content and their fractional composition in blood plasma preparatory period 10 days prior to insemination and 20 days of lactation. The research was carried out on 60 rabbits of the Hyla hybrid, divided into three groups (control and two experimental), with 20 animals in each. The control animals were fed without limitation full-grain granulated feed with free access to water. Animals of the first experimental group (E-I) fed the diet of the control group and during the course of the day poured out the silicon citrate obtained using the nanotechnology method, 50 mkg Si/kg body weight with water. Samples of the second experimental group (E-II) feed the diet of the control group and set the sodium metasilicate (Na2SiO3H2O) 2.5 mg Si/kg body weight with water. The trial lasted 95 days, including the preparatory period of 10 days, the trial – 85 days. In the preparatory period of 10 days from the beginning of the study and in a trial of 20 days of lactation (65 days of supplements) in the rabbits, samples of blood from the marginal ear vein were taken. Hematologic studies were performed using the automatic hematologic analyzer “Orphee Mythic 18”, in the blood plasma, the content of total lipids and their fractional composition were determined. It was established that the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin concentration in the blood of the rabbits of experimental group, which were given silicon citrate, were respectively higher by 15.2% (P < 0.05) and 12.0% (P < 0.01) by 20 days lactation versus control. This may indicate a more pronounced effect of the organic compound of silicon on the hematopoietic function of the body of the rabbits. According to white blood, the differences from control were found during the presentation of supplements with higher (P < 0.05) changes in 20 days of lactation in animal blood and experimental group. It was noted that the content of triacylglycerols in plasma of blood of groups I and II was lower by 31.2 and 32.8%, respectively (P < 0.05) compared to control. In blood plasma of animals in experimental groups an increase in the fractions of phosphatidylcholine, sphingomyelin and lysolecetin was observed compared to control. Such a redistribution was due to the reduction of the fractions of phosphatidic acid, phosphatidyl ethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol, and apparently, is associated with changes in the activity of the enzymes concerned. Hematological studies and determination of the fractional composition of lipids and phospholipids of blood plasma of the rabbits show positive changes that contribute to the metabolic accumulation of energy and plastic components of their organism.
