The socio-economic order is changing in the 21st century due to the digitalization and robotization of production and management processes, the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The technological stages and directions of digital transformation and the area of its application are briefly described in the article. Both the positive and negative likely impact of AI on human social life are analyzed. The role of AI in improving the quality of life of the population is shown, including overcoming of destructive consequences associated with the COVID-19. The humanitarian benefits associated with the functional use of AI technologies are presented: online interactions provide new opportunities for communication, effective organization of life, for education, work, self-expression and creativity. Challenges and threats to humanity in the process of interaction with AI are Identified and systematized: a person's loss of control over his personal life, taking away work from a person by AI, replacement of professions, changes in employment, digital inequality, reduction of cognitive, social and life skills people, potential ethical conflicts. Ways are outlined by which people could join forces in solving threatening problems and maintaining control over complex networks «people-digit».

Since 2002, Sunni jihadi groups have been active in Iranian Baluchistan without managing to plunge the region into chaos. This book suggests that a reason for this, besides Tehran’s military responses, has been the quality of Khomeini and Khamenei’s relationship with a network of South-Asia-educated Sunni ulama (mawlawis) originating from the Sarbaz oasis area, in the south of Baluchistan. Educated in the religiously reformist, socially conservative South Asian Deoband School, which puts the madrasa at the centre of social life, the Sarbazi ulama had taken advantage, in Iranian territory, of the eclipse of Baluch tribal might under the Pahlavi monarchy (1925-79). They emerged then as a bulwark against Soviet influence and progressive ideologies, before rallying to Khomeini in 1979. Since the turn of the twenty-first century, they have been playing the role of a rampart against Salafi propaganda and Saudi intrigues. The book shows that, through their alliance with an Iranian Kurdish-born Muslim-Brother movement and through the promotion of a distinct ‘Sunni vote’, they have since the early 2000s contributed towards – and benefitted from – the defence by the Reformist presidents Khatami (1997-2005) and Ruhani (since 2013) of local democracy and of the minorities’ rights. They endeavoured to help, at the same time, preventing the propagation of jihadism and Sunni radicalisation to Iran – at least until the ISIS/Daesh-claimed attacks of June 2017, in Tehran, shed light on the limits of the Islamic Republic’s strategy of reliance on Deobandi ulama and Muslim-Brother preachers in the country’s Sunni-peopled peripheries.

Every person – regardless of place of residence, age, sex, or social status – needs an authority figure, someone they can trust, someone who serves as their source of inspiration and a beacon of hope. However, numerous contemporary researches point out to the existence of a crisis in terms of personal examples, the decline in the quality of education both at home and at school, and the worrisome rise in consumerist and egotistical attitudes which results in pathologies of various shape and form and consequently leads to the general deg¬radation of society. The social life transformations necessitate the introduction of changes to education and the image and authority of a teacher. The purpose of this article is to highlight the role of authority in education, show teacher as a figure of authority as perceived by pupils and their parents, and their expectations and preferences as well as to attempt to define the future of authority in the changing world.

Activity of human social life is currently mediated by internet technology. Mediation has created space in the activities of social life which previously had an activity in the body replaced by activities in cyberspace. Instagram is a technological social space in the posfenomenological dimension of cyber space. Instagram as social media mediates its user body to be shared with other users. Instagram is a mode of reduced social interaction and transcends bodily space, programmed body, identity constructed in digital form. The metrosexual man enters the Instagram room to image himself and share it with other users. This research analyzes how metrosexual man activities in consumption and presents his identity in cyberspace. This study uses a virtual ethnographic method by tracing metrosexual male Instagram accounts through the hashtag #priadewasa #ganteng. This method can explore deeper about subject interactions on Instagram. The result is identity and consumption activities in the form of fashion, the places they visit are presented making it their class that has their own tastes in activities shared on Instagram. The liquid space provided by Instagram renders de-identification. Instagram space gives a different space unlike theworld off-line. Human life is never static, the dynamics of human life are changes that can never be avoided. These changes are a process of human adaptation to the movement of the surrounding environment. Instagram adalah ruang sosial teknologis yang berada dalam dimensi posfenomenologis ruang siber. Instagram sebagai media sosial memediasi tubuh penggunannya untuk dibagikan ke pengguna lain. Instagram adalah moda interaksi sosial tereduksi dan melampaui ruang kebertubuhan, tubuh terprogramkan, identitas terkonstruksi dalam wujud digital. Pria metroseksual memasuki ruang Instagram untuk mencitrakan dirinya dan dibagi ke pengguna lain. Penelitian ini menganalisa bagaimana aktivitas pria metroseksual dalam berkonsumsi dan menghadirkan identitasnya di dunia siber. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode etnografi virtual dengan menelusuri akun Instagram pria metroseksual melalui hashtag #priadewasa #ganteng. Metode ini dapat mengeksplorasi lebih dalam interaksi subjek di instagram. Hasilnya Identitas dan aktivitas konsumsi berupa fashion, tempat-tempat yang mereka kunjungi menjadikan kelas mereka memiliki selera tersendiri dalam aktivitas yang dibagikan di instagram. Ruang cair yang diberikan instagram mengarahkan de-idetifikasi. Ruang Instagram memberi ruang berbeda tidak seperti dunia off line. Kehidupan manusia tidak pernah dalam kondisi statis, dinamika kehidupan manusia merupakan perubahan yang tidak pernah bisa dihindari. Perubahan-perubahan tersebut merupakan proses adaptasi manusia terhadap pergerakan dari lingkungan sekitarnya. Salah satu bentuk adaptasi manusia adalah dengan menciptakan teknologi yang bertujuan mempermudah dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup.Kata Kunci: Instagram, Metroseksual, Identitas, Konsumsi

The exclusive role of culture and education in the modern strategy of sustainable development is emphasized. For so many centuries, culture and education had a distinct flavor of luxury and were available, as a rule, to a select few. Currently, there is a widespread expansion of culture and education, and indicators of upbringing and training have become the primary condition for the sustainable existence of society and the individual. The question arises: what is the hidden primacy of culture and education today? The authors call the answer to it moral postulates and enlightenment, which affect not only the human mind, but feelings and soul, giving rise to desires and actions that obey the will. It is concluded that ideals, beliefs and other qualitative characteristics of a person are the main regulators of sustainable social life. Thus, the role of culture and education is to implement social harmony and ensure the quality of life of people.

The dominating role of the state in the failed economic and social integration of the Mezzogiorno into the modern and developed northern part of the country since the creation of the Italian union is analysed. The mutation of the 'southern' to the'northern question' constitutes one of the most recent phenomena in Italian history which threatens the concept of national unity. Therefore, a new contract between the North and the South is necessary to combat the backwardness of the Mezzogiorno. This also requires a new quality of state and not its withdrawal from social life.

AbstractIn recent years, theories of social understanding have moved away from arguing that just one epistemic strategy, such as theory-based inference or simulation constitutes our ability of social understanding. Empirical observations speak against any monistic view and have given rise to pluralistic accounts arguing that humans rely on a large variety of epistemic strategies in social understanding. We agree with this promising pluralist approach, but highlight two open questions: what is the residual role of mindreading, i.e. the indirect attribution of mental states to others within this framework, and how do different strategies of social understanding relate to each other? In a first step, we aim to clarify the arguments that might be considered in evaluating the role that epistemic strategies play in a pluralistic framework. On this basis, we argue that mindreading constitutes a core epiststrategy in human social life that opens new central spheres of social understanding. In a second step, we provide an account of the relation between different epistemic strategies which integrates and demarks the important role of mindreading for social understanding.

This paper deals with the process of digital transformation, its effects and their distribution in the regional aspect. The research is an attempt to define the influence of digital factors on the main indicator of people’s wealth (gross domestic product per capita) considering regional and temporal differences during the period from 2015 to 2018 in the regions of the Russian Federation. The digital component of people’s quality of life is defined based on the Russian regional index (digital index). To estimate the effects, panel data models were used to show the relationships between the parameters in space and time simultaneously for the period from 2015 to 2018. The econometric models surved as a tool for evaluating: 1) influence of the digital index on the real GRP per capita; 2) its influence on the real GRP per capita considering temporal and regional differences. To specify regional differences, digital inequality in the districts and subjects of the Russian Federation was considered. The research findings showed that the Russian regional index of digital component of people’s quality of life grew by 0.051 during the years 2015–2018. Regional factors strongly affect the impact of this index on real GRP per capita. The number of regions with negative corrected elasticity ratios (adjusted appropriately for differences in regions and period) decreased by 5. Variation ratio of the digital index decreased by 10.2%. Compared to the rest of the Russian federal districts, Ural and Northern Caucasus ones demonstrate higher digital inequality. In general, the positive impact of digitalization is identified for economically developed and rich regions of Russia, while for less developed regions, this impact could entail digital risks.

In the last few decades, the subject of trust has become one of the central research topics in sociology and political science. Various theoretical approaches have crystallized, and an immense amount of empirical data has been collected. The focus on trust is for two kinds of reasons. One has to do with immanent developments in the social sciences. We have witnessed a turn from almost exclusive preoccupation with the macro-social level, that is the organizational, systemic or structuralist images of society, toward the micro-foundations of social life; that is, everyday actions and interactions, including their ‘soft’ dimensions, mental and cultural intangibles and imponderables. Another set of reasons has to do with the changing quality of social structures and social processes in the late-modern period. The ascendance of democracy means that the role of human agency is growing, and more depends on what common people think and do, how they feel toward others and toward their rulers and how they choose to participate and cooperate. The process of globalization means that more and more of the factors impinging on everyday life of people are non-transparent, unfamiliar and distant, demanding new type of attitudes. The expansion of risk means that people have to act more often than before in conditions of uncertainty. The traumas of rapid, comprehensive and often unexpected social change produce disorientation and a loss of existential security. If the ambition of sociology to become the reflexive awareness of society is to be realized, then the current interest in trust seems to be wholly warranted.

This article involves a study of the personnel management technologies digitalization degree based on the results of the SAP, Deloitte and Hays report, published in 2019. The analysis demonstrated HR automatization dependence on the size and specialization of organizations. The larger the company, the more complex personnel management processes are. The article defines four digitalization levels from the paper approach to the active use of artificial intelligence systems. Industries with the highest automatization percentage are identified. The article takes a closer look at personnel recruitment, selection, adaptation and training practices performed with the use of appropriate tools and programs. Among the most laborious recruitment functions stand communication with potential candidates, testing and interviewing, especially in cases of mass recruitment. Specialized programs that process CVs, build ratings, conduct video interviews and online testing to optimize recruiter’s work. The advantages of chatbots and messengers for adaptation digitalization are pointed out. Most executives have a positive attitude to the transition to new automated HR methods. The role of e-learning and software training is outlined, and the advantages of webinars, test constructors, and distance learning implementation are analyzed. It is noted that one third of Russian companies are actively automatizing employee training and development technologies. The article also highlights the most important personnel management processes that demand digital transformation in the first place. The automatization necessity of management accounting, effectiveness analysis of the current HR system, and benefits calculation is justified. Gamification advantages are outlined, as they are used in adaptation, training and personnel assessment processes. Senior management, HR executives and information services role in moving to a new level of personnel management is emphasized. VTB, VTB 24 and Sberbank spendings on automated HR systems are reasoned. Conclusions on the need to invest in digital transformation of HR processes are drawn. Keywords: personnel management, technologies, digitalization, process
