OD BIBLIOTEKI BRAJLOWSKIEJ DO CYFROWEJ, CZYLI O MATERIAŁACH ALTERNATYWNYCH I TECHNOLOGIACH WSPOMAGAJĄCYCH DLA UŻYTKOWNIKÓW Z NIEPEŁNOSPRAWNOŚCIĄ WZROKU. W KRĘGU ROZWAŻAŃ BIBLIOLOGICZNO-TYFLOLOGICZNYCHŹródła informacji i technologie informacyjno-komunikacyjne w zapisach prawnych. Kognitywny proces zachowania się użytkownika z niepełnosprawnością wzroku. Materiały alternatywne i technologie wspomagające we współczesnej bibliotece. Zastosowanie technologii cyfrowych w bibliotekach dla niewidomych w Polsce. FROM A BRAILLE TO A DIGITAL LIBRARY, I.E. ON ALTERNATIVE MATERIALS AND TECHNOLOGICAL AIDS FOR USERS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS. REFLECTIONS ON BIBLIOLOGY AND VISUAL IMPAIRMENTAmong groups in society at risk of digital exclusion are people with visual impairments. Yet new technologies expand access to information for the visually impaired; they reduce or even eliminate their reading disability and introduce the visually impaired to information culture. However, this has to be based on a possibility, enshrined in law, of using various materials in alternative formats and with the help of technology. The present paper, based an analysis of documents and participant observation, examines questions concerning key legal solutions regulating access of people with visual impairments to sources of information, and information and communication technologies, as well as the specifi city of the cognitive process of behaviour of visually impaired users. The author presents alternative formats of library material and supporting technologies, particularly modern digital version of the Braille system, tactile graphics and audio description. She also examines the evolution of libraries for the blind. The paper ends with suggestions concerning libraries for visually impaired users and well as proposal of research discourses.

The article analyzes the peculiarities of the use of ICT during distance learning. Features of distance learning have been considered, namely its elements, subjects and set of means of realization. The difference between the concepts of "distance learning" and "online learning" has been analyzed and their common and distinctive features have been identified. The advantages and disadvantages of using ICT in the process of distance learning have been highlighted. The main advantages include flexibility (the ability to present the course material based on training, abilities of students), the ability to implement the latest pedagogical, psychological, methodological developments, convenience (the ability to study at a convenient time, in a certain place, education without separation from the main work, no time constraints for mastering the material), modularity (breaking down the material into separate functionally complete topics), costeffectiveness, the ability to simultaneously use a large amount of educational information by any number of students, interactivity (active communication between group students and teacherі), no geographical boundaries for education. The world practice of development and use of ICT in education shows a tendency to change the traditional forms of organization of the educational process in the information society. Therefore, information and communication technologies are highly effective tools that allow to give a large amount of information to a greater extent than traditional sources of information, and in a sequence that corresponds to the logic of cognition and the level of perception of a certain contingent of students. Having solved the problems with ICT, it will be possible to use new technologies and raise the learning process to a qualitatively higher level.

Modern information and communication technologies, elements of digitalization are constantly and rapidly developing, which, in turn, has a direct impact on all spheres of human activity. In the light of recent events related to the collapse of the tourism business due to COVID-19, there is a great scientific interest in the service sector, namely in the field of "digital tourism". Digital tourism relies on the widespread adoption of new technologies such as social media and mobile technologies, smart devices and sensors to collect and use massive amounts of data to create new value propositions. In this regard, the authors set a goal – to present a review of the literature on "digital tourism" from the standpoint of scientific and media discourse. The authors present a comprehensive scientific approach, including the sequential implementation of all stages of the review, from the definition of the terminological core of the interdisciplinary direction, the formation of search queries, cascade search, selection and content analysis of materials to the identification and explication of contexts. The sources of information for preparing the review were publications from academic databases: Web of Science, Science-Direct, Scopus, GoogleScholar, eLibrary, Cyberleninka, as well as materials and publications in Russian-language media – Integrum. The results obtained by the authors will be useful for scientists in identifying promising areas of research in the field of "digital tourism", as well as deepen their knowledge of mechanisms for searching, collecting and analyzing data and integrated and analytical environments.

The current problem of accessibility of information and communication technologies remains a priority when discussing the rights of people with special needs. Modern communication and information processing devices assume that the user has the ability to see, hear, speak and feel. As a result, people with physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments are unable to access and use computers due to limited human-machine interfaces that do not allow for change. Therefore, the main focus in world practice in the development of technology for people with special needs is focused on those aspects that provide constructive solutions that allow for alternative data representation and the ability to work with input and output devices. To solve this problem, assistive technologies are being developed. Based on the above, the aim of the article was to analyze the features of the use of assistive technologies in the organization of the educational process for the visually impaired. To achieve it, we used the method of analysis of scientific works of scientists and national standards of Ukraine. The article discusses assistive information technologies, which are special software or hardware designed to increase the availability of communication information for people with visual impairments. Analyzing the scientific work of scientists, we concluded that today in Ukraine there is no single conceptual and terminological apparatus to identify tools to empower people with special educational needs. To do this, scientists use a number of terms: "assistive technologies", "auxiliary or compensatory technologies". It is investigated that the necessary condition for successful training of visually impaired people is the creation of material and technical resources and the use of assistive technologies. It is established that in the organization of educational activities of persons with visual impairments is taken into account, above all, the safety and sustainability of the subject-spatial environment. The authors propose a classification and analyze the main assistive technologies used in the organization of training for people with visual impairments. The main approaches to improve the effectiveness of technology in the organization of the educational process of people with visual impairments are proposed.

Ambulatory assessment of emotional states as well as psychophysiological, cognitive and behavioral reactions constitutes an approach, which is increasingly being used in psychological research. Due to new developments in the field of information and communication technologies and an improved application of mobile physiological sensors, various new systems have been introduced. Methods of experience sampling allow to assess dynamic changes of subjective evaluations in real time and new sensor technologies permit a measurement of physiological responses. In addition, new technologies facilitate the interactive assessment of subjective, physiological, and behavioral data in real-time. Here, we describe these recent developments from the perspective of engineering science and discuss potential applications in the field of neuropsychology.

Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) adoption is increasing globally for human development because of its potential affect in many aspects of economic and societal activities such as GDP growth, employment, productivity, poverty alleviation, quality of life, education, clean water and sanitation, clean energy, and healthcare. Adoption of new technologies has been the main challenge in rural areas and is the main reason for the growing gap between rural and urban economy. The work related ICT use have also yielded mixed results; some studies show the individual’s perceived work-family conflict, negative cognitive responses e.g. techno stress while others show increased productivity, improved job satisfaction and work-family balance due to flexible work timings. This paper attempts to understand the role of ICT in human development areas of health, education and citizen empowerment taking into consideration of digital divide which exists in geographic area and within the communities through literature review.

The digitization of the agri-food sector is a strategic priority in the political agenda of European institutions. The opportunity to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of the sector offered by new technologies comes together with its potential to face new economic and environmental challenges. This research aims to analyze the level of digitalization of the European agri-food cooperative sector from the construction of a composite synthetic index. Such an index is to be based on a diverse set of variables related to electronic commerce and the services offered through the internet. It also evaluates how European cooperatives influence the degree of technological adoption depending on their size or the wealth of the country where they carry out their activity. The empirical analytical method is thus used, through the analysis of frequencies and correlations. The results obtained reveal the existence of a suboptimal and heterogeneous degree of digitization of European agri-food cooperatives, clearly conditioned by their size and the wealth of the country where they operate. In this situation, it is recommended to promote public policies that guarantee high-performance digital connectivity, an improvement in training in digital skills and the promotion of cooperative integration processes.

Abstract The home environment and features of the home have been identified as important risk factors for falls, and may pose particular risk for older adults with visual impairments given difficulty with hazard perception. We used data from 245 participants in the Falls in Glaucoma Study [mean age: 71 years, mean follow-up: 31 months] with homes graded using our previously validated Home Environment Assessment for the Visually Impaired (HEAVI), which quantifies the number of in-home fall-related hazards and found that neither the number of hazards nor the percentage of hazardous items were associated falls/year. However, each 10-fold increase in lighting was associated with a 35% lower rate of falls/year (RR=0.65, 95%CI=0.46 to 0.92) and there was a 50% reduction in falls/year when lighting was at or above 30 footcandles (minimum lighting level recommended by the Engineering Society of North America) compared to lighting <30 footcandles (RR=0.50, 95%CI=0.26 to 0.96).
