Treiber erfolgreichen Innovationshandelns in Bayerischen Berufsschulen identifiziert. Digital transformation is having an impact on all areas of life. It is now leaving its mark not only in business, politics and society; In education, too, more and more innovation processes are being initiated in order to map and implement topics of digitization in a contemporary way. This concerns above all the most important interface between companies and schools: vocational training. The present study deals with the design of innovation processes in the Bavarian vocational school system using the example of the obligatory media concept. It considers the organization of the processes from the macro to the meso level and focuses on the actors and their innovation actions in the context of current findings of neo-institutionalism and educational governance research. After a detailed description of the research field, i.e. the media concept, its prerequisites, its objectives, its development and the framework conditions of its introduction, a reconstruction of theoretical findings on innovation processes in educational organizations follows. . Subsequently, the implementation of an empirical study is described, the results of which should provide clues to the innovation actions of the affected actors from the macro to the meso level. In particular, space is given to the perceptions and assessments of the actors on the conditions for the success of innovations. Finally, the results of the theoretical and empirical reconstruction are contrasted and obstacles or drivers of successful innovation action in Bavarian vocational schools are identified.

The 2013 curriculum-based integrative thematic learning model is a learning strategy that involves several subjects into a learning theme that uses an interdisciplinary approach to provide meaningful experiences to students in the learning process. The application of this learning model requires adequate infrastructure and mature teacher understanding concepts. Integration and success in this learning model can be seen from the aspect of understanding of the learning model, aspects of the learning strategy, and aspects of the use of media in learning. Because every teacher has their own characteristics in conveying learning to students, in order to achieve learning objectives. Therefore the writer wants to examine more deeply how the application of the 2013 curriculum-based integrative thematic learning model in MIN Yogyakarta II and MI Ma'had Islamy Kotagede Yogyakarta?. This study aims to determine the mastery of integrative thematic learning models, the strategies applied and the media used by teachers in the application of integrative thematic learning models. This research is categorized in the type of field research (Field Research) which is descriptive with qualitative research methods using theories about integrative thematic learning models then proceed to drawing conclusions. The results showed that in general these two institutions had applied the integrative thematic learning model well. The teacher's mastery of the learning model and the methods used by the teacher in linking learning material are already good so that learning becomes a unified and meaningful whole for students. Then the strategies used by the teacher in planning learning activities, preliminary activities, core activities and closing activities are quite diverse and adjusted to the needs and interests of students. The media used have their respective characteristics and are always adapted to the learning material to be taught. Although they have differences in learning strategies and the media used in teaching, however, they have the same goal of achieving success in teaching so that the expected goals can be achieved and provide meaningful experiences to students.

Successful innovation is a key to business growth. In the realm of technological development, innovation processes have been transformed into various forms, like open innovation, crowdsourcing innovation, or collaborative innovation. This research would like to focus on open innovation processes to reach out to the common stakeholders in the entrepreneurship system through small and medium enterprises. It has been observed that to provide innovative services or products to the outer periphery of the customer chain, SMEs play an important role. Hence, focusing innovation for SMEs would lead to a newer dimension of innovation research for better business and economic growth. It could be applied to both ways in terms of value gain to the participants. This applies to all sorts of entrepreneurships, though often corporate business houses seem to be the most beneficiaries of innovation researches. This research will emphasize open innovation for SMEs at the outset by focusing transformation of innovation leading to a networked paradigm in spite of being in closed periphery, and try to provide some overview on innovation strategies, including various challenges.

The aim of this chapter is to analyse the organizational conditions that foster the development of different people-focused knowledge sharing initiatives in medium-high and high technology companies, as well as the degree of influence of those initiatives on the ideation stage of innovation processes. Finally, considering that successful innovation is the one that helps to improve business competitiveness, the degree of influence of this innovation capability dimension on company performance is examined. For these relationships to be tested, an empirical study has been carried out among medium-high and high technology Spanish manufacturing firms with more than 50 employees and which carry out R&D activities. To this end, a questionnaire has been designed and submitted to the CEOs of the companies making up the target population of the research. Structural equation modelling (SEM) based on partial least squares (PLS) has then been applied in order to test the main hypotheses of the research.

Purpose This paper aims to investigate the principles of high reliability organisations (HROs), present in safety and crisis teams, as applied to innovation teams. Safety and crisis teams cannot fail, as failure leads to disaster and casualties. Innovation teams cannot fail either, as this harms the organisations’ competitiveness and effectiveness. Do HRO principles, rooted in mindful infrastructure, enable innovation resilience behaviour (IRB)? Design/methodology/approach A study of 18 innovation projects performed by project teams was carried out. A survey by team members/leaders of these teams was completed; team members/leaders of other projects were added to achieve a larger sample. Mindful infrastructure consists of team psychological safety, team learning, complexity leadership and team voice. The analyses assessed the teams’ mindful infrastructures as a causal condition enabling IRB. Findings Applying qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), the findings indicate that mindful infrastructure enables team IRB, which is a set of team behaviours indicating their resilience when encountering critical incidents. Teams apply different “paths” to IRB. Research limitations/implications The exploratory study’s generalizability is limited. The findings nonetheless indicate the usefulness of non-linear techniques for understanding different roads to successful innovation processes. Practical implications HRO principles are applicable by non-HROs. These require investments in organisational learning. Originality/value HRO studies fail to account for the antecedents of HRO principles. This study groups these antecedents of team behaviour into a mindful infrastructure. QCA has not been applied within the domain of HROs before and only scarcely within the domain of innovation teams.

Innovation is not self-generating or self-sustaining. Successful innovation requires leadership to establish organizational capacity to generate ideas and to ensure prompt and effective service. If any government fails to provide these supports to the innovation process, it will not be effective. This paper seeks to identify factors that hamper government innovation in Bangladesh. It proposes a strategy for the Bangladesh government that involves political institutionalization, administrative and market decentralization, promotion of social and economic justice, and good governance in order to promote innovation processes and ensure successful innovation flows within the country.

This article analyses creative work in one of Europe’s largest media organizations, in which a newly formed development team was tasked with creating a new multi-platform media product. The objective of this article is to explore the dynamics of team creativity in the process of developing and managing media content innovation. To do this, this study utilizes the concept of ambidexterity for understanding multi-level tensions between the on-going media production work and innovation processes typically co-existing in media operations. The results of the analysis indicate that, due to pressures created by the routine media production, media innovations require specific focus and prioritization to succeed. This requires recognizing, balancing and managing the ambidextrous tensions between exploration and exploitation in creative media work. In addition to practical implications for management of media innovations, this study contributes to research on media innovations, particularly from the perspectives of creative work and organizational creativity.
