This article will describe the quranic interpretation of Mu’tazilite on theological verses which talked about free will. As a rationalist sect in Islamic tradition, Mu’tazilite offered different perspective, which has been known as a more logical sect than a mainstream thought in Islam. As a result, they came with a different perspective on a lot of theological aspects. Mu’tazilite believes, that human have a freedom to choose, Human has a free will. They are free to choose between good and evil. There’s no divine intervention in human act. In modern era, Existensialism came with same statement that human should be free. Existensialist believes that human existensce preceed their essence. This paper will describe the similarity of these two and would try to identificate mu’tazilite method of interpretation with existensialist point of view. This article use qualitative research method with descriptive analysis approach through the collection of related literature studies especially The thought of Jean Paul Sartre and Soren Kierkegaard, Two biggest existensialist. The results of this study indicate that the conception offree will has relevance with Islamic tradition itself, and have a relation wih western philosophy.

According to the free will defense, God cannot create a world with free creatures, and hence a world with moral goodness, without allowing for the possibility of evil. David Lewis points out that any free will defense must address the “playpen problem”: why didn’t God allow creatures the freedom required for moral goodness, while intervening to ensure that all evil-doing is victimless? More recently, James Sterba has revived the playpen problem by arguing that an omnipotent and benevolent God would have intervened to prevent significant and especially horrendous evil. I argue that it is possible, at least, that such divine intervention would have backfired, and that any attempt to create a world that is morally better than this one would have resulted in a world that is morally worse. I conclude that the atheologian should instead attack the free will defense at its roots: either by denying that the predetermination of our actions is incompatible with our freely per-forming them, or by denying that the actual world—a world with both moral good and evil—is more valuable than a world without any freedom at all.

The rapid science in the modern era, provides significant changes for humans, both in the fields of economics, politics, culture, environment, society, education, and even religion. The 19th century is a century of science that is growing rapidly, this can be seen from the emergence of various scientists who provide concepts, theories based on philosophy with basic ontology, epistemology, and axiology as a contribution to the development of science. One of them, the scientist known as the father of sociology, was Auguste Comte a scientist from France. Comte is famous for its philosophy of postivism because of the many references by scientists in the contemporary era. This is based on the calculation of the success of designing the social structure of modern humans with three stages of law, but one side of the theory he produced has eliminated the fundamental value in humans, namely eliminating the metaphysical basis. In a three-stage law, more concerned with physical values than metaphysical values, this will result in a society that abandons religion and even eliminates the existence of God. The thoughts produced by Comte are thoughts originating from the west, where the basic West is relativism so if viewed from an Islamic point of view this theory will produce atheists and eliminate the sanctity of religion. In Islam religion and society are inseparable because religion is a guideline that is used as a basis in people's lives based on the values of the Qur'an and Sunnah. Therefore in this paper we will study more deeply the criticisms of Aguste Comte's thinking, using qualitative research types, with descriptive analysis methods and theological philosophical approaches.

This paper is a review of Mulla Sadra's thought library about the concept of spiritual humanism and its significance to human existence in the modern era. This paper aims to find out the meaning, principles, and nature of humanism in Mulla Sadra's views through his main work entitled al-Asfar al-Arba'ah and some research on Mulla Sadra's philosophical thinking. By using philosophical descriptive analysis, it can be concluded that the concept of Mulla Sadra's humanism is studied and explored through the discourse of the soul. The implication, humans know and realize the existence of immaterial aspects in their existence is perfect. In addition to knowing that there is a material aspect to human existence, the humanism concept in Mulla Sadra's view is to criticize the views of western philosophers, such as Jean Paul Sartre and Fredrich Nietzsche who view human existence based on material awareness. As a result, human existence is seen through the material side. The implication, human awareness is limited. In the modern era, the majority of people understand their existence as offered by western philosophers, so that the majority of people do not have awareness in realizing and knowing their existence, as they should. In addition, the views of western philosophers on material awareness in human existence cause freedom of will. Freedom of will in the western view causes dehumanism, because it prioritizes emotional aspects and passions in increasing human existence. The results of this paper to provide solutions in raising awareness of human existence, especially regarding the meaning, principles and nature of humanists in the modern era. The more aware humans are of humanist meaning and nature, the higher human existence will be. The implication, humans can reach the level of perfection in themselves without any restrictions. From these various explanations, the author hypothesizes that the concept of spiritual humanist Mulla Sadra can increase human existence and provide solutions to the crisis of human existence in the modern era.

Abstract The changing regulation for community plantation forest (CPF) from social forestry point of view into a business-oriented context has no significant effects on its capital strengthening. Limited capital becomes an obstacle for farmers to develop the CPF area. It encourages the CPF to conduct a partnership scheme with the nearest company in its working area. The objectives of the research are to evaluate the partnership scheme and to make improvements from the evaluation results. The research method used is descriptive analysis and quantitative approach. The results show that many problems have been raised during the partnership implementation as farmers have no bargaining position, the company’s log price is not feasible, and no explanation on how the price is determined. The profit margin of the CPF is the lowest (Rp98,000/ton wood) or 11.8% among the parties involved in the wood plantation businesses. Therefore, the partnership scheme must be improved for better prosperity of CPF farmers through shifting from partnership CPF to self-sufficient CPF. This shifting provides a high bargaining position and better revenue for the CPF farmers.

Justification of moral judgments subsists as one of the recalcitrant question marks of philosophy; are they somehow unlike the so-called factual judgments; do they have a cognitive value; what, if anything, could possibly justify them despite the assumed chasm between facts on one hand and values, on the other? I believe it is, at least in the early modern era, the Humean legacy in ethics to have eyes for the naturalistic fallacy and sometimes despair over the seemingly inexplicable bridge between “Is” and “Ought.” I shall investigate whether Nietzsche has a solution of his own to the problem and if he has, whether it is indeed a Humean one. In what follows I shall try to produce a brief exegetical reading of Nietzsche’s main texts to reflect on the parallels between moral critique of Nietzsche and Hume’s epistemic understanding of moral judgments. With this aim, I shall connect Hume’s insights with Nietzsche’s related remarks, dwelling on three books by Nietzsche mainly: Human, All Too Human, Beyond Good and Evil, and Will to Power. Nietzsche avers that causality of free will is no more than an associative feeling to connect an idea with another. In sum, the inferential guide that links “Is” with “Ought” is based on a social need to hold individuals morally responsible on the basis of their behaviour. Therefore the link traditionally provided between the I-sentences and the O-sentences is not a metaphysically necessary one, as implied by the causality of free will, but an outcome of societal forces that attribute free will to human beings. In other words, the relation between the I-sentences and the O-sentences is not metaphysically necessary according to the transcendental law of morality, but socio-political laws that changes empirical beings into moral beings. Furthermore, he claims that there are diverse canons of morality that apply to diverse characters. To put it into modern jargon, the moral judgments and arguments can be seen as performative statements, since they do not express the relations among facts which are independently and intrinsically moral, but acts on and constitute them as moral and the persons those facts are attributed to morally responsible.I argue that the O-sentences comprise a sub-set of speech-acts. They do not only express moral facts, but also constitute them as moral.

A media that can connect every human being in all corners of the world so that it creates a new world, namely the online or virtual world. From here it is very possible for an exchange of ideology to occur through a discourse carried by an individual or a group which could be through a content channeled through a medium such as Tiktok for example. The purpose of this research is to analyze critical discourse on the contents in Tiktok media related to FF and PUBG games. The research method used is qualitative with a critical paradigm as a foundation in the point of view used. The theory used in this study is Norman Fairclough's critical discourse analysis with descriptive analysis, interpretation and explanation methods. The result of this research is the discovery of differences in discourse that are raised in each content in Tiktok media, where each content framing is carried out with the characteristics of each individual, so that the meaning of the discourse raised can be known by the general public.

Abstract: This research is a comparative literary study that uses Malay and Javanese versions of Mahabarata text sources. The research objects used were the text edition of Pandhawa Gubah (PG) by Sudibjo Z. Hadisutjipto and the text of Cheritera Pandawa Lima (CPL) by Khalid Hussain. The research method used is descriptive-analysis method. In the comparative study used a comparative literary theory proposed by Endraswara (2011). The results of the text comparison reveal the similarities and differences in the image of Bima figures in the Javanese and Malay versions. The equation as a whole is that both texts contain the same heroic storyline and heroic character, Bima. In addition, Indian influence is still evident in the two texts seen from the nuances of Hinduism that exist in both texts. While the difference is seen in the events that accompany Bima's struggle in achieving his victory. Based on these similarities and differences, it can be seen that the authors attempt to represent the concept of metaphysical interactions vertically and horizontally expressed through PG text.
