Background: The coverage of exclusive breastfeed in East Java has not reached the target has decreased in 2015. Working mother and the failed breast crawl implementation is factor that can inhibit exclusive breastfeed. Non exclusive breastfeed in infant will increase the risk of malnutrition and infectious disease.Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze the difference of nutritional status and infectious disease in exclusive breastfeed dan non exclusive breastfeed toodler age 12-24 months in Randegan village, Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. Methods: The research was an observational analytic with cross sectional design. The sampel of this study was 44 toddlers in Randegan Village, Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo. Consists of 22 each exclusive breastfeed dan non breastfeed toddlers. The data were collected by questionnaires and weight measurement. Data were analyzed using chi square.Result: Normal nutritional status of exclusive breastfeed toddlers was 95.5% and of non exclusive breastfeed was 59.1%. The incidence of infection disease of exclusive breastfeed was 27.3% and of non exclusive breastfeed was 81.8%. The result of this study in both group showed of exclusive breastfeed and non exclusive breastfeed toodlers were significant (p<0.05) in nutritional status and incidence of infectious disease. Conclusion: Exclusive breastfeed toodlers has a better nutritional status and lower incedence of infectious disease than non exclusive breastfeed toddlers. Mother of toddlers should pay more attention to monitoring of growth and development in children, hygiene and sanitation, and giving nutritious and balanced food intake.ABSTRAK Latar belakang: Cakupan ASI eksklusif di Jawa Timur belum mencapai target dan mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2015. ABSTRACT   This research aims to know the difference between snacking habit and nutritional status of catering and non-catering food consumer in SD-UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh as well as knowing the corelation between snacking habit and nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. This research used cross sectional design with thirty eight respondents were collected by Simple Random Sampling method. Snacking habit was obtained by using FFQ. The data were analyzed by using Chi-Square and Mann Whitney analysis. Univariate analysis showed that the snacking habit on catering food consumers was 28.5%, whereas on non-catering food consumers was 76.5%. Bivariate analysis result showed the difference between snacking (p= 0.004) and nutritional status ( p= 0.044) on catering and non-catering food consumers in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. There was no corelation between snacking habit and the nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh (p= 0,117) and ( p=0,142). There was difference in snacking habit and nutritional status on students who were catering and non-catering consumers in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh and there was no corelation between snacking habit and nutritional status in SD UMP Purwokerto and SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.  Key words: Snacking habit, Nutritional status, catering food, non-catering food.  ABSTRAK Kebiasaan mengonsumsi jajan dapat mempengaruhi status gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kebiasaan jajan dan status gizi anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering serta mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan cross sectional dengan 38 responden dengan metode Simple Random Sampling. Kebiasaan konsumsi jajan diperoleh menggunakan FFQ. Data di analisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil uji univariat menunjukkan bahwa pada anak sekolah pengguna katering kebiasaan jajan yaitu sebesar 28,5% sedangkan anak sekolah yang non-katering sebesar 76,5%. Hasil uji bivariat menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan kebiasaan jajan ( p = 0,004) dan status gizi ( p= 0,044) pada anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh serta tidak terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh (p= 0,117) dan (p= 0,142). Terdapat perbedaan kebiasaan konsumsi jajan dan status gizi pada anak sekolah pengguna katering dan non-katering di SD UMP Purwokerto dan SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh serta tidak terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan mengonsumsi jajan terhadap status gizi di SD UMP Purwokerto dan di SDN 2 Dukuhwaluh.  Kata Kunci: Kebiasaan jajan, Status Gizi, katering, non-katering.

Background: Underweight is a problem caused by many factors, factors that directly affect nutritional status are nutritional intake and infectious disease. Meanwhile, indirect factors that affecting nutritional status is feeding practices, household food security and environmental health.Objectives: The objective of this study was to analyze the differences of feeding practice and household food security between toddlers with underweigt and normal nutritional status.Methods: The research was an observational analytic with cross sectional design. The sample was 80 toddlers from 6-24 months in Tanah Kali Kedinding Sub-District, Surabaya. They are consist of 40 normal and 40 underweight toddlers. Data was collected by interview using questionnaire, FFQ, recall 24 hours and US-HSFFM for household food security. Data were analyzed by using Mann-Whitney Test.Results: Good feeding practice for normal toddlers was 15% while for underweight toddlers was 7.5%. Toddlers with normal nutritional status come from secure household was 65.5% while underweight toddlers was 32.5%. The result found there was a difference of feeding practice (0.032) and household food security (0.012) between toddlers with underweight and normal nutritional status.Conclusion: There was difference in feeding practices, toddlers with normal nutritional status get better feeding practice than toddlers with underweight. There was difference in the household food security, toddlers with normal nutritional status mostly come from secure households.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Gizi kurang adalah masalah gizi pada balita yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor. Faktor yang secara langsung berhubungan dengan status gizi adalah asupan zat gizi dan riwayat penyakit infeksi. Sementara itu, faktor tidak langsung yang mempengaruhi diantaranya praktik pemberian makan, status ketahanan pangan rumah tangga dan kesehatan lingkungan.Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis perbedaan praktik pemberian makan dan status ketahanan pangan rumah tangga pada balita status gizi kurang dan normal.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 80 balita usia 6-24 bulan di Kelurahan Tanah Kali Kedinding Kota Surabaya dengan masing-masing balita gizi kurang dan normal berjumlah 40 balita. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode wawancara dengan kuesioner, FFQ dan recall 24 jam untuk praktik pemberian makan serta US-HSFFM (United State of Household Food Security Survey Module) untuk ketahanan pangan rumah tangga. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney.Hasil: Praktik pemberian makan yang baik pada balita gizi normal sebesar 15% sedangkan pada balita gizi kurang sebesar 7,5%. Balita gizi normal yang berasal dari keluarga tahan pangan yaitu 62,5% sedangkan gizi kurang yaitu 32,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan praktik pemberian makan (p=0,032) dan status ketahanan pangan rumah tangga (p=0,012) pada balita status gizi kurang dan normal.Kesimpulan: Terdapat perbedaan praktik pemberian makan dimana balita dengan status gizi normal mendapatkan pemberian makan yang lebih baik apabila dibandingkan dengan balita gizi kurang. Terdapat perbedaan status ketahanan pangan rumah tangga, balita dengan status gizi normal lebih banyak berasal dari rumah tangga tahan pangan.

Gout or Gouty Arthritis is a degenerative disease. Gouty arthritis is a clinical syndrome that is caused by deposition of purine crystals in the tissues, due to levels of uric acid (hyperuricemia) in the extracellular fluid that passes through saturation. The etiology of gout arthritis included age, sex, history of medication, obesity, consumption of purine and alcohol. Aging is an important risk factor for men and women. This study uses an analytical-descriptive approach with cross-sectional design. This study was conducted to obtain a relationship between nutritional status and uric acid levels in the community in the area of ​​Al-Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, Ngawi. This research was conducted in Majasem Village, Kendal District, Ngawi Regency, starting from 7 June - 31 August 2018. The results showed that there was a relationship between nutritional status and uric acid levels in the community in the area of ​​Al-Hidayah Islamic Boarding School, Ngawi (p=0,008). Suggestions for further research are bivariate analysis based on gender, knowledge and attitude to response to diet so that other factors that influence can be seen clearly

Introduction. Chronic energy deficieny (CED) is a condition of a body characterized by low body weight and low energy stores, possibly limited physical capacity due to deprivation of food over a long period time. Ministry of Health ( Kemenkes) showed that in 2015, 305 out of 100.000 death of pregnant women is realated to malnutriotion and CED. Objective. The aim of this study is to determine the overview of pregnant women nutritional status based on mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) in Sundari Medan General Hospital. Method. The study was an observational descriptive study with a cross sectional design. The samples of this study consists of pregnant women from Sundari Medan Genaral Hospital, who had fulilled the inclusion and esclusion criteria by total sampling. Results.. Among 60 samples, the prevalance of Non-CED woman (85%) was found higher than the mild malnutrition (15%). Conclusion. Prevalance of CED pregnant women was found higher in risky age, middle educated and high income family.

Abstract: Haemoglobin is the main component of red blood cells that serves as a transporter of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood. The normal range of haemoglobin values can be used to determine the degree of anemia according to age and gender. Geographical condition such as altitude influences the haemoglobin value. This study aimed to obtain the difference of haemoglobin levels between teenagers with good nutrition status who live at the highland and those at the seaside. This was an observational analytical study with a cross sectional design. Samples were students with good nutrition status of SMPN 3 Tomohon (living at the highland) and those of SMP Kristen Nazaret Tuminting (living at the seaside). There were 60 students who met the inclusion criteria as follows: adolescent, good nutrition status, healthy, aged 13-15 years, lived at the highland or at the seaside ≥ 6 month, and willing to be performed blood examinations, and had been approved by their parents. The Mann-Whitney test for the difference between haemoglobin levels of the two groups showed a p value < 0,001. Conclusion: There was a very significant difference between haemoglobin levels of good nutrition teenagers who lived at the highland and at the seaside. Batas normal nilai hemoglobin dapat digunakan untuk menetapkan derajat anemia, dengan distribusi usia dan jenis kelamin spesifik didasarkan pada sampel referensi sehat. Kondisi geografis, seperti ketinggian tempat dari permukaan laut menjadi faktor pertimbangan dalam distribusi nilai normal hemoglobin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan perbedaan kadar hemoglobin antara remaja gizi baik yang tinggal di pegunungan dengan yang tinggal di tepi pantai. Jenis penelitian ini analitik-observasional dengan desain potong lintang. Sampel penelitian yaitu remaja gizi baik yang tinggal di pegunungan yaitu siswa SMPN 3 Tomohon dan yang di tepi pantai yaitu siswa SMP Kristen Nazaret Tuminting. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 60 remaja yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi yaitu gizi baik, sehat, berumur 13-15 tahun, berdomisili di pegunungan atau tepi pantai ≥6 bulan, bersedia dilakukan pemeriksaan darah, dan telah disetujui oleh orang tua. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney mengenai perbedaan kadar hemoglobin antara kedua kelompok menunjukkan nila p <0,001. Simpulan: Terdapat perbedaan yang sangat bermakna kadar hemoglobin remaja gizi baik yang tinggal di pegunungan dengan di tepi pantai.Kata kunci: kadar hemoglobin, remaja gizi baik, pegunungan, tepi pantai

The aim of the research is to investigate that emotional intelligence and self-esteem in male and female school students. The present research design is research cross sectional design.  Sample contained 200 students (100 =male, 100= female)   (mean age = 14.16, SD = 0.740) all belonging to the upper, middle and lower Scio economic status. Whole sample was collected from different schools of Karachi, Pakistan with the help of convenient sampling technique. First, the confidentiality about the participants demographic information was assured after that about the purpose and procedure of research explained to participants. The participants who given consent of participation in research, the demographic form, Urdu version of Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (Rosenberg, 1965), and Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue) (K.V. Petrides) were administered on them. Statistical Analysis (t-Test for independent) applied to assess the difference of emotional intelligence and self esteem among male and female.The results reveals there is significant difference among emotional intelligence of male and female school students (t (198) = 6.597, P< .05) and there is also significant difference in self esteem of male and female school students (t (198) = 2.837, P< .05).

The principle of the organization of prisons (Lembaga Pemasyarakatan/ LAPAS) must prioritize a humane approach so that prisoners and prisoners receive their rights. If the implementation is good, the objective of LAPAS is to carry out social reintegration, namely the restoration of the unity of life, life and livelihood of prisoners and correctional students both prisoners as individuals, social beings and God's creatures with society can be achieved. However, this organization faces obstacles, namely the problem of overcapacity. This can have implications for suboptimal and can even lead to failure to function as a correctional institution. The problem of over capacity will also have an impact on the health conditions of prisoners. Sleep conditions, eating patterns, health services that are less than the maximum due to over capacity will certainly have a negative impact on the nutritional status of prisoners. This study aims to determine the impact of Overcapacity Impacts on the Nutritional Status Level of Prisoners in Class II A Penitentiary, Sidoarjo. This type of research is a quantitative correlational analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The number of samples was 91 inmates. The sampling technique is by random sampling. Data is collected by weighing body weight and height and comparing with ideal body weight. The results showed that the more overcapacity, the nutritional status of prisoners decreased. Room conditions can affect the provision of an unbalanced diet. Thus, that this causes the prisoners to experience malnutrition.

The First Thousand Days of Life, which is 270 days during pregnancy and 730 days in the first life of the baby, is a sensitive period because the problems that arise are permanent. The biggest problem that occurs in children is stunting (37.2%). In addition, one factor that supports the nutritional status of women of childbearing age who still experience Chronic Energy (20.8%). The best approach is to prepare the bridge and groom's nutritional status and increase knowledge about the First 1000 Days of Life. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of nutritional status of prospective brides based on knowledge about the First 1000 Days of Life. This research use qualitative method with cross sectional design with sampling accidental sampling within 1 week with result of 21 bride candidate. Result of nutritional status of bride candidate is normal (85,7%), while for knowledge about 1000 First Day of Life included in enough category (57,1%). Suggestion for the office of religious affairs is that on pre-marriage counseling is given material about the First 1000 Days of Life. Some extension materials about the motto of the card to healthy, calcium-containing foods and the suggestion to consume tablets added blood.

Latar Belakang :Kehangatan dada ibu dapat menghangatkan bayi, sehingga apabila bayi diletakan di dada ibunya segera setelah melahirkan atau dilakukan Inisiasi Menyusu Dini, dapat menurunkan resiko hipotermia dan menurunkan kematian bayi baru lahir akibat kedinginan atau hipotermia. Tujuan : Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan suhu tubuh bayi baru lahir antara bayi yang berhasil melakukan IMD dan bayi yang tidak berhasil melakukan IMD Metode  :Analitik,desain cross sectional,populasi semua bayi baru lahir, sampel bayi barulahir, teknik Non Random Sampling, pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan Lembar Observasi dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan nilai signifikan α = 0.05 yaitu bila hasil uji statistik menunjukan p ≤ α maka H0 ditolak. Hasil      :Suhu tubuh bayi baru lahir yang berhasil melakukan IMD sebagianbesardengansuhutubuhtidakhipotermisebanyak 20 bayi (87%) Suhu tubuh bayi baru lahir yang tidak berhasil melakukan IMD sebagianbesardengansuhutubuhhipotermisebanyak 8 bayi (66,7%). Dari hasil uji statistik diperoleh hasil nilai p = 0,005 < α = 0.05 maka H1 diterima, artinya ada Perbedaan suhu tubuh bayi baru lahir yang berhasil melakukan IMD dan yang tidak berhasil melakukan IMD Kesimpulan :Terdapat perbedaan suhu tubuh bayi baru lahir antara bayi yang berhasil melakukan IMD dan bayi yang tidak berhasil melakukan IMD.   Kata kunci : Inisiasi Menyusu Dini, Suhu Tubuh Bayi Baru Lahir                                                                                               THE DIFFERENCE BODY TEMPERATURE BETWEEN BABIES WHO SUCCESSFULLY INITIATE BREASTFEEDING EARLY AND BABIESWHO FAIL TO INITIATE EARLY BREASTFEEDING AT RSIA KIRANA SIDOARJO 2019  Background : The warmth of the mother’s chest can warm the baby, so that when the baby is in the mother’s breast immediately after birth or initiated early breastfeeding can reduce the mortality rate of newborns due to hypotermia.Purpose :the purpose of this study was to determine the difference in body temperature of newborns between infants who successfully initiated early breastfeeding and infants who did not succeed in initiating early breastfeedingMethods : analytical, cross sectional design, population 40 newborns, samples 35 newborns, Non Random Sampling techniques, the data accumulation using observation sheets and using chi-square test, with significant value α = 0.05 is when the statistical test results show p ≤ α then Ho is rejected.Result : The body temperature of the newborn who succeeded in initiating early breastfeeding was 36.78ºC with 23 (65.7%) of infants none having hypothermia, the newborn baby's body temperature that did not succeed in doing this early breastfeeding was 35.78ºC With 8 infants experiencing hypothermia, while 4 babies with normal temperature. From the results of statistical tests obtained results with the value p = 0,000 <α = 0.05 then H1 accepted, meaning there is a difference in body temperature of a newborn who successfully initiated early breastfeeding and who did not succeed in Early Breastfeeding Initiation. Conclusion : There is a difference in the body temperature of a newborn between infants who successfully initiated breastfeeding and infants who are not successful in initiating early breastfeeding....Keywords : Early breastfeedinginitiation, newborns temperature
