Agrarian reform by leverage or commonly known as landreform by leverage is a peasant movements which
is organized by peasant initiative to defend their land. This movement could be associated with social welfare and negative excess like criminalization that frequently take place in Garongan village. There, most people involved in conflict because of their persistence to keep their land. There is a strong relationship between agrarian reform by leverage and peasant welfare. Land which is frequently referred as crucial donation of life has a vital value for human survival. The function of land is not only considered as human nee ds but al so as i dent it y t hat al ways t ri ggers any c onfl i ct nowadays . So, it ’s not st range if thi s condi ti on causes any negative impacts of criminalization including psychological, physical or both psychological and physical effects for those who involved. At the end of this description, farmers who have been sovereign from agriculture will be interferred by iron sand mining company which is supported by feudal forces and private corporations. This research examine more deeply about the relationship between agrarian reform by leverage and social welfare, the impact of agrarian reform by leverage to the criminalization and the differences of level of social welfare before and after agrarian reform in Garongan village.
Keywords: agrarian reform by leverage, criminalization, social welfare.

Abstract Background It has been shown that eosinophils are decreased and monocytes are elevated in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), but the impact of eosinophil-to-monocyte ratio (EMR) on clinical outcomes among AIS patients remains unclear. We aimed to determine the relationship between EMR on admission and 3-month poor functional outcome in AIS patients. Methods A total of 521 consecutive patients admitted to our hospital within 24 h after onset of AIS were prospectively enrolled and categorized in terms of quartiles of EMR on admission between August 2016 and September 2018. The endpoint was the poor outcome defined as modified Rankin Scale score of 3 to 6 at month 3 after admission. Results As EMR decreased, the risk of poor outcome increased (p < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis revealed that EMR was independently associated with poor outcome after adjusting potential confounders (odds ratio, 0.09; 95% CI 0.03–0.34; p = 0.0003), which is consistent with the result of EMR (quartile) as a categorical variable (odds ratio, 0.23; 95% CI 0.10–0.52; ptrend < 0.0001). A non-linear relationship was detected between EMR and poor outcome, whose point was 0.28. Subgroup analyses further confirmed these associations. The addition of EMR to conventional risk factors improved the predictive power for poor outcome (net reclassification improvement: 2.61%, p = 0.382; integrated discrimination improvement: 2.41%, p < 0.001). Conclusions EMR on admission was independently correlated with poor outcome in AIS patients, suggesting that EMR may be a potential prognostic biomarker for AIS.

Sports entrepreneurship has been considered an important part of sports organisations when overcoming crisis situations. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of the crisis derived from COVID-19 on sports entrepreneurship and whether there are differences in the prediction of entrepreneurship on service quality in non-profit sports clubs. To this end, 145 sports clubs were analysed before and after the outbreak of the virus in society. Paired sample-t tests were carried out to determine the differences in variables studied before (Time I) and after (Time II) the COVID-19 outbreak, and correlations and hierarchical linear regressions were used to analyse the relationship between the variables studied in the two different stages. The results obtained show that risk-taking and innovation are significantly higher after the appearance of COVID-19, while proactivity has not undergone significant changes. Finally, the relationship between sports entrepreneurship and service quality is positive and significant in both stages but stronger before the crisis.

The purpose of this meta-analysis was to examine the impact of ethnicity and obesity as it relates to Type-2 Diabetes (T2D) in specific Central American countries. A meta-analysis was conducted to determine the association of ethnicity, obesity, and T2D. Four studies that qualified for inclusion were identified by searching MEDLINE and PubMed databases. The studies on the association of ethnicity and T2D had a combined population resulted in 265,858 study participants. Two studies on the association of obesity and T2D had 197,899 participants. An analysis of the data was conducted utilizing the relative risk ration, odds ratio, and forest plots. The comparison of the relative risk of T2D across ethnic categories by studies range for Blacks was 1.59 to 2.74, Asians was 1.43 to 2.08, and Hispanics .92 to 2.91. The ethnic difference in the prevalence of diabetes was almost two-fold higher in all ethnic groups than among the Caucasians with a significance level of 95%. A comparison of relative risk of T2D across weight categories was significantly higher among those with a diagnosed of diabetes in all reported areas. The odds ratio was very close to the risk ratio in both ethnicity and obesity to the development of T2D. The meta-analysis findings documented that an association does exist between ethnicity and obesity to the development of type 2 diabetes.

Shepperd et al. (2014) find that the reported performance of a defect prediction model shares a strong relationship with the group of researchers who construct the models. In this paper, we perform an alternative investigation of Shepperd et al. (2014)’s data. We observe that (a) researcher group shares a strong association with the dataset and metric families that are used to build a model; (b) the strong association among the explanatory variables introduces a large amount of interference when interpreting the impact of the researcher group on model performance; and (c) after mitigating the interference, we find that the researcher group has a smaller impact than the metric family. These observations lead us to conclude that the relationship between the researcher group and the performance of a defect prediction model may have more to do with the tendency of researchers to reuse experimental components (e.g., datasets and metrics). We recommend that researchers experiment with a broader selection of datasets and metrics to combat potential bias in their results.

Background.High serum uric acid (UA) is associated with increased cardiovascular (CV) risk in the general population. The impact of UA on CV events and mortality in CKD is unclear.Objective.To assess the relationship between UA and prognosis in hemodialysis (HD) patients before and after renal transplantation (TX).Methods.1020 HD patients assessed for CV risk and followed from the time of inception until CV event, death, or TX (HD) or date of TX, CV event, death, or return to dialysis (TX).Results.821 patients remained on HD while 199 underwent TX. High UA (≥428 mmol/L) was not associated with either composite CV events or mortality in HD patients. In TX patients high UA predicted an increased risk of events (P=0.03, HR 1.6, and 95% CI 1.03–2.54) but not with death. In the Cox proportional model UA was no longer significantly associated with CV events. Instead, a reduced GFR (<50 mL/min) emerged as the independent risk factor for events (P=0.02, HR 1.79, and % CI 1.07–3.21).Conclusion.In recipients of TX an increased posttransplant UA is related to higher probability of major CV events but this association probably caused concurrent reduction in GFR.

Retailers in the spring bed business have a privilege to choose among the various products offered by various suppliers. Typically, these retailers would have chosen the suppliers whose products are matched with their needs and at the same time could give higher profits. This condition has strengthened the competition in the spring bed industry. In order to face the challenges that come from the retailers’ switching behavior, every supplier has to give a good service quality and build a strong relationship quality with their retailers. In this study, relationship quality was measured by three components: satisfaction, trust and commitment from the retailers to the suppliers. The objective of the study is to analyze the impact of service quality on switching behavior which was mediated by the relationship quality. The components of relationship quality are: satisfaction, trust and commitment. A theoretical framework was developed as the hypotheses for testing the impact of every variables were constructed. The samples of this study were 341 spring bed retailers in Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi) area. A sixpoint Likert-type scale was used for the questionnaire variables, with 1 = strongly disagree and 6 = strongly agree. The quantitative analysis with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) was completed using Lisrel 8.8. The structural model of this study could explain the interrelationship among each variables in the model. As a result, from ten hypotheses there were five findings supporting the hypotheses: service quality had an impact on satisfaction, service quality had an impact on trust, satisfaction had an impact on trust, trust had an impact on commitment, and commitment had an impact on commitment. The findings which did not support the hypotheses
were: There was no impact of service quality on commitment and switching behavior; there is no impact of satisfaction on commitment and switching behavior; and finally there is no impact of trust on switching behavior. As a conclusion, the result of the study described the importance of service quality in manufactured industry, in the business to business context between spring bed suppliers and retailers. The impact of service quality on the switching behavior was mediated by relationship quality, where commitment was the important component of relationship quality that greatly affecting the strength of service quality impact on switching behavior. For future studies, researchers may explored other model to investigate more variables with more proper indicators, more homogeneous samples and longer period of research

The present research explores the impact of training and innovation on organisational performance. Additionally, this research scrutinises how job satisfaction partially mediates the impact of training and innovation on organisational performance. Therefore, in order to achieve the objective of this research, the survey procedure using single-stage cluster sampling method is used to develop an in-depth profile, which is gathered from 653 out of 800 formal standardised questionnaires sent to employees who are in the managerial or supervisory level and above at 400 hotels in West Malaysia. For this research, only two questionnaires were distributed to the managers of each hotel. This research employed quantitative methods to produce empirical results and shreds of evidence that fulfil the research questions. The literature scrutinised training, innovation, job satisfaction, and organisational performance to fill the gap and to uncover the significance of training programs and innovation on organisational performance with job satisfaction as the mediator. The analysis shows that training and innovation are statistically significant and has a strong relationship with job satisfaction and organisational performance. Conclusively, the hypothesis depicted that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between training and innovation on organisational performance in the hospitality industry. Thus, the findings of this study could aid as an example to other hoteliers in Malaysia to not presume the impact of training and innovativeness on organisational performance. By embarking on training and being innovative, hotels could rise against all odds, remain productive, and maintain competitiveness.

Article visualizations:
