Bintan Island is an island that has a strategic location and has a tourist beauty. The name of Bintan island itself is not widely known because Bintan Island is among hundreds of islands located in Kepulauan Riau. Enterprises to introduce tourism on the island of Bintan can affect the arrival of tourists, the more tourists who come will certainly play an important role on revenue and development of an area. In addition, Bintan Internal Rental which is a travel company that provides car rental services perform various promotional efforts and rentals. The way it is done such as spreading brochures, business cards and promotions from social media is still considered less effective considering the company is still not known in general. The development of information technology requires every company to be able to improve the quality of its performance in an effort to face the increasingly rapid global competition. Therefore it takes a website as an online company identity to be known and communicate with potential customers, so it can compete with other companies that are in the field of travel or rental services. With the use of this website is expected to provide information and promotions to visitors to the website to recognize Bintan Island, moreover the objects of tourism. Provides convenience to connect directly with the Bintan Internal Rental if you want to do a car rental.

Keywords: promotion, rent, UML, website

Information technology plays an increasingly important role in the medical working environment. Besides facilitating improvements in the quality of health care, it might also bear some unwished effects. Examining the „m aking? of a diagnosis and the role it plays in m odern m edicine leads to the question how far this pro cess of „diagn osing? m ig ht be affected b y the „tech nical su rroundings?. A num b er of exam ples from clin ical medicine in the hospital and the ambulatory sector illustrate the way IT is being utilised in modern medicine. A tw ofold negative effect could result from this „com p uterisation?: Firstly, the technical requirem ents for the use of IT might force the process of diagnosing to be adapted with subsequent wrong or altered diagnoses. Secondly, constraints like cost control might be facilitated by IT and thus its application might cause the doctors trying to avoid such pressures by modifying the diagnosis and potentially worsening treatment and outcome.

Due to its intangible nature, hospitality business finds it difficult to market its services. Past customer experiences are one of the best strategies that allow some quantification of the quality of the product. Word of mouth has been a key part of every effective marketing strategy for hospitality businesses. It is widely recognized that word of mouth, both positive and negative, has the potential to influence customer purchase decisions. With the technological advancement, the internet has been widely applied in various areas in the hospitality industry. Social media and the growth of web 2.0 have enabled word of mouth to be shared amongst millions of potential customers, one therefore can argue that electronic word of mouth (eWOM) has been the successor of the traditional word of mouth. Therefore, traditional Word-of-Mouth, which spread from person to person vocally has been replaced gradually by electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM). A growing trust on eWOM for making choices about hospitality products prompted the author to work on the present chapter.

The tourism industry has found an incredibly fertile ground to reach potential customers with the growth of social media. With the influencers’ tendencies to share moments in their lives and especially about their travels, social networks have become one of the most powerful weapons that travel agencies and hotels use to attract as many customers as possible. The phenomenon of influencers is one in development in our country as well. New accounts are constantly appearing on social networks, promoting brands from many fields (beauty, fashion, cooking, sports and even tourism). We are witnessing a revolution in the consumption of audiovisual content, and the development of the concept of influencer confirms this. The main purpose of this paper is to explore how influencers can influence consumers’ decisions in choosing a hotel. It will focus on research on attitudes and opinions on social media and information in tourism in Romania. The data were collected through an online opinion poll and were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Research has shown a great advantage in using influencers to attract customers. However, customers who choose certain hotels through influencers come with higher expectations, which is why the quality of services must rise to the highest standards.

This community service activity was carried out to provide understanding as well as anticipation to teachers in Oebelo village, Kupang Tengah, Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia regarding news that contains false and misleading contents (hoax). Teachers who have more time with their students, are expected to transfer their understanding so that they will not easily believe unverified news. These understanding and anticipation were also delivered to junior high school students (grade VIII to IX) that in reality had started to know information technology – social media. The development of information technology – social media that has positive and negative impacts must be seen as important and urgent matter to be handled properly. This development should be directed towards improving the quality of human resources (human capital development) in this millennium era. However, in reality, even false news or messages have a detrimental effect on a person or community. Therefore, as the final result of this activity, two guidelines will be made; how to anticipate hoax news and how to utilize abundant information sources through the development of information technology, especially internet media. This is done as part of the effort to improve the quality of human resources.

Abstract Background Microsurgery fellowship applicants make decisions for future training based on information obtained from colleagues, mentors, and microsurgery fellowship program Websites (MFWs). In this study, we sought to evaluate the accessibility and quality of available information by microsurgery programs by analyzing the most commonly used web resources and social media outlets for applicants. Methods The San Francisco (SF) Match and American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery Websites were queried in April 2020 for microsurgery fellowship programs (MFPs) participating in the SF Match. Twenty-two independent variables of information were assessed on MFWs based on previously published data. Social media presence was also assessed by querying Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for official hospital, plastic surgery residency, and microsurgery fellowship accounts. Results All 24 MFWs participating in the SF Match had a webpage. Program description, faculty listing, operative volume, and eligibility requirements were listed for all programs (100%). The majority of MFWs listed affiliated hospitals (75%), provided a link to the fellowship application (66.7%), listed interview dates (66.7%), and highlighted research interests (50%). A minority of MFWs provided information on conference schedule (37.5%), current fellow listing (25%), previous fellow listing (16.67%), and positions held by previous fellows (8.33%). No MFWs (0%) presented information on selection process, or rotation schedule. All hospitals with an MFP had a Facebook page and nearly all had Instagram (83.3%) and Twitter accounts (95.8%). Plastic surgery residency programs at the same institution of an MFP had social media presence on Facebook (38.9%), Twitter (38.9%), and Instagram (66.7%). Only three MFPs had Facebook accounts (12.5%) and none had Instagram or Twitter accounts. Conclusion As the field of microsurgery continues to grow, the need for effective recruitment and training of microsurgeons continues to be essential. Overall, we conclude that both the accessibility and quality of information available to applicants are limited, which is a missed opportunity for recruitment.
