The active ingredient, called piperine, is present in black pepper. The ions are very small so they are easily consumed by the tissue and nervous system, causing the chemical release within the brain. Piperine has been shown to help ease gastrointestinal ailments, help with vomiting, and has the ability to help with inflammation of the body. This explains to us how simvastatin can help expedite piperine in the body. The new, clear, effective, quick, accurate ultraviolet spectrophotometric method has to be validated and developed for the study of simvastatin and piperine in bulk and poly-herbal formulations. Data from validation experiments was tested using methodological techniques. Since processing at a wavelength of 285nm, the standard solution appeared to have a far higher absorbance than at other wavelengths. Normal simvastatin and piperine have been measured in varying amounts, and they make spectrums of overlays. In Beer Law, the concentration (C) of a solvent is plotted against the absorbance (A) from a calibration curve, as a result. A linearity range of between 14and 39μg/mL was observed. The sample was tested by prorating the standard deviation and standard error of the approximate means with the sample size, demonstrating the accuracy and the precision of the methods used in the analysis. Based on the experimental findings, it can be easily inferred that for UV spectrometry estimation of simvastatin and piperine from pharmaceutical intravenous liquid formulation, the proposed method is very simple, fast, accurate, precise, economical and reproducible.

AbstractThe liquid excrement of many Homoptera, which often accumulates as honeydew, can be harmful to the insects that produce it. Disposal of excrement to avoid or reduce its harmful effect is therefore important. The methods of disposing of excrement in Coccidae are described. These insects have an anal apparatus for propulsion of excrement away from the body. The musculature of the rectum is not involved in this act. Attendance by ants modifies excretory behaviour in Coccidae, much as it does in Aphididae.

Heavy metals as pollutants in the working and living environment are a serious health and environmental problem because they are toxic, non-biodegradable, accumulate in living systems and have a long half-life in soil. Sources of lead contamination are combustion products in the chemical industry and metallurgy, industrial waste water, landfills, traffic etc. Lead enters into the body via the food chain and drinking water. In the body lead is deposited in the liver, kidneys, brain and mineral tissues. Excretion of lead causes damage to the epithelial cells of certain organs. High level exposure to cadmium is usually the result of environmental pollution by human activities. Exposure to cadmium can lead to acute and chronic tissue damage of various organs, including liver and kidneys in humans and in animals. In this paper we analyzed the effects of lead and cadmium exposure, in working and living environment, on the model system of experimental animals, particularly the activity of certain liver enzymes, acid and alkaline DNase, and standard biochemical blood parameters. The study showed that lead and cadmium significantly affect the protein content, red blood cells, hemoglobin and hematocrit, and the activity of liver enzymes. This harmful effect of this toxic metal can be reduced by the supplements.

Abstract T The use of a disinfection tunnel has become increasingly popular to eliminate the Covid-19 on the body particularly during the pandemic, however insufficient attention paid to its effectiveness and safety. We undertake a narrative review on the disinfection tunnel and evaluate their effectiveness and safety. The keyword searches of Medline, EMBASE, PubMed, EBM reviews database and manual searches of Google Scholar and US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) was used. An analysis of the papers reviewed were categorized into three main themes: technical design of disinfection tunnel; effectiveness of disinfectant used; and safety or harmful effect. To date, no relevant specific scientific studies or evidence retrieved about disinfection tunnel for public usage including effectiveness and safety. We found a various designs of disinfection in the market today. It mainly originated from an innovative idea to assist in limiting the spread of Covid-19. However, current available evidence does not support its effectiveness and safety. Although it may lead to a false sense of security, this potential approach appears attractive thus creates an opportunity for further research.

Vitamin C is one of the nutrients that act as antioxidants and effectively overcome free radicals that can damage cells or tissues, including protecting the lens from oxidative damage caused by radiation. Vitamin C is widely found in fruits, and vegetables, one of them in chili. Vitamin C in chili has a function as a good antioxidant for the body (able to increase the immune system absorbed by calcium in the body. This study aims to determine the levels of vitamin C contained in some types of chili using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method and conduct a preliminary test. The highest levels of vitamin C obtained by using spectrophotometric method at 200 nm wavelength were on red curly pepper (50 g/100 g) and followed by chili jablay orange-red (38 g/100 g), green cayenne (29 g/100 g), red pepper large (22 g/100 g), and large green chili (9 g/100 g). While based on preliminary test it was found that all chilies contain saponins, as well as only large red pepper (sample 1) and red curly pepper (sample 4) containing flavonoids Keywords: capsicum, chilly, spectrophotometry

Chili is one of the fruits that contain vitamin C in a very large number. Vitamin C is one of the vitamins that is needed but cannot be synthesized in the body and has free radical antidote properties which will slow down the oxidation process that occurs in the body. One of the characteristics of vitamin C is a compound that is very easily oxidized due to the influence of heat, metal, and light so that in storage it needs special treatment to keep the levels low. One of the habits of the people in storing chili is in cold temperatures. This way trusted to maintain the condition of chili to always be fresh. But it is not yet known whether these conditions can guarantee vitamin C levels in them. Theoretically, the optimal storage for chili is at low temperatures between 2-15o C with humidity of 90-95% so that the chili remains fresh for 20 days. This research is to find out whether or not there is an influence between storage time on vitamin C levels in cayenne pepper and red. The research method used was quantitative analysis by measuring vitamin C levels in chili using a spectrophotometric instrument. The storage day indicator used in this study is the first, second, fourth and sixth day and the temperature used is 4oC. The results of the study for vitamin C levels in fresh cayenne pepper were 88.19 1.39 mg/g, at two days storage was 82.04 1.34 mg/g, at four days storage was 78.43 1.02 mg/g and at six days storage was 78.17 2.05 mg/g. The results of the study for vitamin C levels in fresh red chili were 81.54 0.51 mg/g, at two days storage was 74.39 0.89 mg/g, at four days storage was 42.49 0.77 mg/g and at six days storage was 42.83 0.17 mg/g. Based on research that has been done on cayenne pepper and large red chili it can be concluded, that with 4oC temperature in storage for 2 days, 4 days and 6 days in the refrigerator the levels of vitamin C are not well maintained.

Antioxidants have an important role in delaying the oxidation process and preventing the occurrence of degenerative diseases in the body. Antioxidants consist of synthetic and natural; the use of synthetic antioxidants in a relatively long period is hazardous so that the use of natural antioxidants is considered more potential and safe for the body. The process of extracting secondary metabolites from the leaves of bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus L.) is carried out by the maceration method with methanol, then partitioned in stages with n-hexane, chloroform, and ethyl acetate. This research intends to identify secondary metabolites and test antioxidant activity from the ethyl acetate fraction with the DPPH method. Phytochemical screening results of ethyl acetate fraction showed the different secondary metabolite groups such as alkaloids, phenolics & polyphenols, flavonoids, coumarin, and triterpenoids. Antioxidant activity (IC50) obtained is 64.97 with a healthy category, so that the potential to be used as a natural antioxidant.
