The purpose of this study was to determine the results of the use of serious games in physics learning in light material at Serang 6 Public High School. The research design used was the Pre-Test Randomized Control Group Post-Test Design. The population of the study was all of the eleventh grade students’ of Serang SMA 6 which numbered six classes. The study sample consisted of one experimental class (XI MIPA 1) and one control class (XI MIPA 2). The results showed that the application of physics learning used a serious game on light material in class XI of Serang 6 High School which took place very well and had a positive effect on student learning outcomes. In addition, the students’ response to the application of physics learning using the serious game was very good. The N-gain result shows that the use of the serious game is 0.89.

ABSTRACTThis study was initiated by the students’ low learning outcomes on Chemistry subject and the teachers’ preference in using lecture method in teaching learning process.This study aimed at 1) finding out the differences of students’ learning outcomes between the use of flash media-assisted practical method and lecture method on hydrocarbon class at grade XI MIA of SMA Muhammadiyah I Pontianak. Using quasi experimental design and Control Group Posttes Design, this study employed the students of grade XI MIA 2 as the samples of experiment group, andthe students of grade XI MIA 2 as the samples of control group. The data collection techniques used were measurement and observation. While the instruments employed were observation sheet and essay. TheU-Mann Whitneytest revealed that the post test score of 0,0140< 0,05 Ho was rejected, while the Ha one was accepted. It means that there was correlation of students’ learning outcomes between the experiment and the control groups. In addition, the effect size result was 1,086 > 0,8 and considered high which indicated the positive effect of flash media-assisted practical method in enhancing students’ learning achievement.Keywords: flash, learning outcomes, hydrocarbon, practical method

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning Arabic in improving learning outcomes by using Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were all tenth classes of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang while the sample was tenth class of science major 8 as a control class and tenth class of science major 6 as an experimental class. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially.  From the test data, it can be seen that the average outcomes of the experimental class and the control class has increased. The average pre-test score of the control class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 79.25 while the average pre-test score of the experimental class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 87. Based on the results of the SPSS 16.0 analysis, sig values were obtained. (2-tailed) of the experimental class and the control class post-test was 0.00 which means less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted then there is a significant difference between the experimental class post-test and the control class post-test. H1 acceptance proves that Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah was effective in improving Arabic learning outcomes in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang.

[ACCESS RESTRICTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI AT AUTHOR'S REQUEST.] This researcher performed an evaluation of the Missouri public high school personal finance graduation requirement. Sophomore, junior, and senior students at a Missouri public high school were given a pre-test and post-test consisting of 31 questions related to financial literacy topics. The students consisted of treatment group that was completing a personal finance class and a control group of students taking other business classes. The testing instrument used was the Jumpstart Coalition Survey of Personal Financial Literacy and the 31 questions were broken into four sub-scores within the realm of financial literacy (income, money management, credit and spending, and savings and investing). The study showed that the treatment group had a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the areas of money management, credit and spending as well as the overall score with the post-test scores being higher than the pre-test scores. There was also a statistically significant difference in the knowledge gained between the treatment group and the control group in the area of credit and spending as well as the overall score. There were no statistically significant differences in knowledge gained found in the demographic areas of gender, socioeconomic status (measured by how students paid for lunch), or grade level. These findings help support the idea that the current personal finance class is working across all demographics in most areas of financial literacy and could be implemented as a model for other school districts. Future research in this area should consider various items such as expanding the sample base, performing a longitudinal study, and considering the effects of age on one's ability to comprehend financial knowledge.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh positif pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap   hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Frater Makassar (studi pada materi pokok Hidrolisis Garam). Desain penelitian adalah “Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design”. Variabel dalam penelitian ini  adalah model pembelajaran dan hasil belajar. Variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran kooperatif Jigsaw dan pembelajaran langsung, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah hasil belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Frater Makassar yang terdiri dari 3 kelas.  Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas XI MIA3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA1sebagai kelas control dengan teknik pengambilan sampel melalui random sampling. Jumlah siswa masing-masing kelas adalah 25 siswa pada kelas XI MIA3  dan 23 siswa pada kelas XI MIA1. Pengambilan data hasil belajar dilakukan dengan pemberian pretest dan posttest yang selanjutnya dikonversi ke skor N-Gain. Data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 78,20 dan kelas kontrol 67,379 dengan standar deviasi berturut-turut adalah 7,511dan 10,70. Ketuntasan kelas sebesar 76% dan 30,34%. Hasil analisis inferensial dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh bahwa nilai thitung= > ttabel=1,6775. Oleh karena,  thitung > ttabel ,berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model  pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Frater Makasssar pada materi pokok hidrolisis garam.Kata kunci: Jigsaw,  Hasil belajar, Hidrolisis garam ABSTRACTThis study was a quasi-eksperimental research which aim to determine the existence positive effect on the cooperative learning model Jigsaw types to the learning outcomes of students of class XI MIA Senior High School Frater Makassar (studies on the subject matter of Salt Hydrolysis). The study design was “ pretest-postest control group design”. Variables in this study are learning models and learning outcomes.The independent variable in this study is that learning learning model Jigsaw type and direct learning and the dependent variable is students learning outcomes of class XI MIA Senior High School Frater Makassar. The population in this study was class XI MIA of Senior High School Frater Makassar where consist  of 3 classes. The sample in this study consists of two classes  while the sample is class XI MIA3 as experimental class and class XI MIA1as the control class which removal technique by random sampling. The numbers of students in each class are 25 students in class XI MIA3 and 23 students in the class XI MIA­­1­. Data retrievals of learning outcomes were achieved by administering pretest and posttest furthermore converted to a score N-Gain. Learning outcomes data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The analysis were showed the average value of the experimental class was 78,20 and control class was 67,379 with a standard deviation are respectively were 7,511 and 10,708  and the grade of completencess were 76% and 30,34%. The result of inferential analysis using t-test showed that tcount > ttabel=1,6775. Therefore, tcount> ttabel, it means that H0 was rejected or H1 was accepted. It can be concluded that the cooperative learning model Jigsaw type was positive effect on students learning outcomes of class XI MIA Senior High School Frater Makassar  the subjet matter of salt hydrolysis..Keywords: Jigsaw, Learning outcomes, Salt Hydrolysis

PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN AKTIF DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR FISIKA PADA SISWA KELAS 2 SMU Tujuan pendidikan nasional adalah meningkatkan potensi peserta didik untuk menjadi manusia yang religious, bertakwa, mulia, sehat, terampil, kreatif, bebas, bertanggung jawab dan demokratis. Hal ini membutuhkan proses belajar yang optimal untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan yang diharapkan, serta mendapatkan prestasi yang tinggi dan memusakan bagi perserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan pengaruh model pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar bidang fisikan pada siswa SMU Sultan Agung 4 Semarang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksprimen yang menggunakan dua kelompok subjek berbeda. Desain eksperimennya adalah Non Random Pre-test-Post-test Control group Design. Responden ekpserimen ini adalah 62 siswa SMU kelas dua yaitu 33  kelas A1 dan 29 siswa kelas A2 yang menempuh mata pelajaran fisika. Pemilihan kelas ini berdasarkan persamaan mata pelajaran dan guru yang mengajar secara parallel. Kelompok A1 adalah kelompok control yang mnggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Kelompok A2 adalah kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran aktif (active learning). Eksperimen dilaksanakan selama empat minggu dengan delapan kali pertemuan atau sekitar 480 menit.Data primer pretest untuk dua kelompok menggunakan data nilai mid semester sedangkan data post-test menggunakan tes yang disusun berdasarkan materi yang diberikan selama eksperimen.  Analisis data seslisih pre-test dan post-test (gained scores) dilakukan dengan metode independent sampel test.Hasil analisis diperoleh nilai t = 3.103 dan p = 0.003 (p < 0.01). hal ini menunjukan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok control dengan kelompok eksperimen. Pada kelompok eksperimen ditemukan peningkatan yang signifikan sedangkan pada kelompok control hasil pre-test dan post-test relatif sama. Kata kunci : Model pembelajaran aktif  THE IMPACT OF ACTIVE LEARNING IN ENHANCING THE STUDENT’S PHYSICS LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AMONG 2ND GRADE   The objective of national education is promoting the learner’s potency in order to become human being who is religious and devoted to God Almighty, noble, healthful, faithful, skilled, creative, independent, responsible and democratic citizen. Essentially, it is necessary to create the learning process optimally for supporting the expected objective. Such optimization is supposed to reach the learning achievement optimally and satisfactorily for learners.The purpose of this research was to discover the impact of active learning model against the enhancement of the student’s physics learning achievement on 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang. This research was experimental research utilizing two different subject groups in which the used design was Non-Randomized Pretest-Post-test Control Group Design. The participants in this research were in the amount of 62 students that consist of 33 A1 students and 29 A2 students of 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang and all of the students were participated in the physics subject of this research. This class selection was based on the parallel teachers who teach on the class level in the similar subject. The A1 students further were modelled as control group using conventional learning model while A2 students were modelled as experimental group using active learning as their learning model in the class. This research was conducted for four weeks in eight meeting times and eight treatment times, for ± 480 minutes.The primary data of this research were pre-test data of both groups taken from scores of physics subject on mid-term test whereas post-test data were acquired from test scores according to the learning material. These data were analyzed by independent sample t-test.The result of this analysis indicated score of t = 3.103 and p = 0,003 (< 0,01), so it can be indicated that active learning model is able to enhance very significantly the physics’ learning achievement of 2nd grade of 4 Sultan Agung Junior High School Semarang. Keywords: active learning, learning achievement

ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA. Jenis penelitian adalah pra-eksperimental dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI Minat Sains (IPA) 1 di SMAN 1 Kediri Tahun Pelajaran 2019/2020 sejumlah 35 orang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pre-test dan Post-test Design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi penerapan model discovery learning dan tes hasil belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) persentase penerapan model discovery learning meningkat, dari 83% menjadi 96%, yang berarti kualitas pembelajaran yang lebih baik, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa juga meningkat, dari 25 menjadi 84 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 0% menjadi 86%. Dengan demikian, model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar fisika siswa di SMA. Kata kunci: discovery; hasil belajar. ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to describe the application of discovery learning models to improve student physics learning outcomes in high school. This type of research is pre-experimental with research subjects namely students of class XI Interest in Science (IPA) 1 at SMAN 1 Kediri in the 2019/2020 Academic Year a number of 35 people. The research design used is One Group Pre-test and Post-test Design. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet applying the discovery learning model and learning achievement test. The results showed that: (1) the percentage of application of the discovery learning model increased, from 83% to 96%, which means better quality of learning, and (2) student learning outcomes also improved, from 25 to 84 with classical completeness of 0% to 86%. Thus, the discovery learning model can improve student physics learning outcomes in high school. Keywords: discovery; learning outcomes.

The main purpose of this study is to develop and validate context-based laboratory activities and low-cost kits for chemistry to improve the practical and laboratory skills of Grade-10 students in a junior public high school. The efficacy of these teaching materials were assessed and quantified by teacher and student respondents using descriptive and quasi-experimental methods. Both laboratory activities and kits were designed to support the use of low-cost chemicals and reagents; and promote the improvisation of equipment and materials. These materials were assessed by 12 teachers and field-tested by 30 Grade 10 students. A standardized multiple-choice pre-test and post-test consisting of 65 items each were used to measure students’ mean gain performances. Prior to using the materials, a pre-test was conducted and have identified students’ least mastered topics, the chemical reaction, Boyle’s and Charles’ Laws respectively. A post-test was administered to measure the mean gain performance after using the materials. Data show that both the teacher and student respondents evaluated the context-based activities and low-cost kits effective and highly acceptable (4.79 on a scale of 5 weighted mean). Mean gain performance in chemistry increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group, with Hake’s mean gain scores of 0.63 and 0.25 respectively. The mean scores and levels of mastery of students in the experimental group who used these materials were also significantly higher than those in the control group.

<p>The problems faced today by Indonesian teachers are the difficulty of implementing e-learning in the learning process, especially physics learning. During this time the teacher considers using e-learning in the classroom will not be effective. This study aims to explain how the implementation of physics learning by using Moodle-based e-learning in the learning process. In this study, it divided into two aspecs, namely learning outcomes and interest in learning with physics learning material in rectilinear motion. This study uses an experimental class design with a sample size  X class of 10 students of Public High School 1 Piyungan group chosen randomly. This study used the design of one group pretest and posttest using the T-Test while the significance value using N-gain analysis scores and learning interests obtained from the questionnaire. The results of the analysis show an increase in learning outcomes with very high N-gain significance values. Then the percentage of student learning interest reaches 66% which is in the excellent category. So it can be concluded that the application of moodle-based learning can increase learning interest and learning outcomes and 73% of students agree if knowledge based on Moodle applied in the learning process.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Keywords</strong>: e-learning, Moodle, learning management system, learning outcomes, interest in learning</p>

This thesis is entitled "Comparison of Learning Outcomes Between Student Physics Cooperative Learning Model Student Tesms Achievement Division (STAD) Type with Class X Discussion Method 1 SMA Muara Beliti 1 Year 2018/2019 Academic Year". The problem in this study is whether there is a comparison of Student Physics Learning Outcomes Between Cooperative Learning Model Student Tesms Achievement Division (STAD) model and Discussion Method in Class X Model Muara Beliti 1 High School 2018/2019 Academic Year ?. The type of research used is quantitative in the form of experimental research methods conducted by comparing the experimental group I and the experimental group II design of this study pre-test post-test. As a population of all class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Model Muara Beliti Academic Year 2018/2019, which consisted of 236 students consisting of 7 classes. Sampling was done randomly and as a sample of experimental class I class X.IPA.1, and as a class experiment II class X.IPA.2. Data collection is done by test techniques, namely pre-test and post-test. Then the collected data was analyzed using the t-test, based on the results of the t-test analysis with a real level of α = 0.05, obtained tcount> t table (2.20> 2.00), so it can be concluded that the results of student physics learning using Cooperative Learning Model Student Tesms Achievement Division (STAD) type is higher than the discussion method in Class X of Model Muara Beliti 1 High School in Academic Year2018/2019.

This study aims to examine the effect of applying uno-assisted bioedutainment strategy on students’ learning outcomes in invertebrate material. This study uses a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study is the students of class X SMA Institut Indonesia Semarang. X.4 and X.5 were selected as samples using purposive sampling technique. The result of the study showed that there were significant differences in the data of the second post tested class. T test analysis of post test students shows t count> t table. The conclusion of this study is that the learning using uno cards in invertebrate material has a positive effect on the students’ learning outcomes.
