[Mubādala Approach in the Perspective of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir on the Meaning of Women's Leadership Hadith. The interpretation of religious texts which is believed to be gender-biased has implications for the subordination and marginalization of women in various spheres of life. Therefore, reinterpretation is necessary to restore the existing gap between men and women. This study aims to explain the basic concepts of the mubādalah approach in Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir’s perspective and to implement the mubadalah approach in interpreting the hadiths of women's leadership. The method used is a literature study research using descriptive-analytic techniques. The main source of this study is the book Qirā’at Mubādala, while the secondary sources are scientific works related to studies. The results of this study indicate that Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir is a feminist exegete from Indonesia, the concept of mubadalah that he offers creates a fair relationship of alienation towards men and women, including in the discourse of women's leadership, both in worship and socio-politics. The majority of scholars prohibit women from becoming prayer leaders, but this belief does not apply in the socio-political realm because based on the perspective of mubādala, leadership is not based on gender, but can be carried out by those who have the capacity and ability to lead, so that they can work together in creating benefit on earth.]

Mernissi has tried to dismantle the building of interpretations of classical scholars, She tried to dismantle injustice feminism through criticism of the hadith about women's leadership, which according to her must be examined again in terms of asbab al-nuzul and historically why hadith or verse came down. As a sociologist, Mernissi did not only approach textual texts in conducting her studies. However, religious texts must be studied from a historical-sociological approach. This is to find the significance of meaning, if it is related to the conditions of the times and places. The hermeneutic approach, used by Mernissi, is to criticize the verses of the Qur'an and misogyny hadiths. She reveals the historical background to the following hadiths had misogyny about the quality of the narrators to find the true meaning of the text. Related to women being head of state according to Mernissi in essence, and what is a problem according to Mernissi is not the problem of men and women but how they are able to become leaders themselves.

Summary: The Gudjonsson Compliance Scale (GCS), the COPE Scale, and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale were administered to 212 men and 212 women. Multiple regression of the test scores showed that low self-esteem and denial coping were the best predictors of compliance in both men and women. Significant sex differences emerged on all three scales, with women having lower self-esteem than men, being more compliant, and using different coping strategies when confronted with a stressful situation. The sex difference in compliance was mediated by differences in self-esteem between men and women.

The relationship of the French king and royal mistress, complementary but unequal, embodied the Gallic singularity; the royal mistress exercised a civilizing manner and the soft power of women on the king’s behalf. However, both her contemporaries and nineteenth- and early twentieth-century historians were uncomfortable with the mistress’s political power. Furthermore, paradoxical attitudes about French womanhood have led to analyses of her role that are often contradictory. Royal mistresses have simultaneously been celebrated for their civilizing effect in the realm of culture, chided for their frivolous expenditures on clothing and jewelry, and excoriated for their dangerous meddling in politics. Their increasing visibility in the political realm by the eighteenth century led many to blame Louis XV’s mistresses—along with Queen Marie-Antoinette, who exercised a similar influence over her husband, Louis XVI—for the degradation and eventual fall of the monarchy. This article reexamines the historiography of the royal mistress.

Abstract Objectives There are 3 types of intracranial hemorrhage (ICH): 1) subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), CIE10:I60; 2) intraparenchymal hemorrhage (IPH), I61 and 3) subdural hemorrhage (SDH) I62. Epidemiological data on this field are scarce in Mediterranean countries. Our goal was to determine whether the relationship of ICH mortality with gender and age was different for the 3 types of HIC. Methods Data were retrospectively obtained from the Spanish National Institute of Statistics. Deaths/100.000 population of SAH, IPH and SDH were assessed for the entire Spanish population since 2008 to 2017 (n=46,527,039). Year 2017 was the last available for analysis. Incidence was analyzed for men and women and for age strata (<1 years of age, 2–10, 11–20, 21–30, 31–40, 41–50, 51–60, 61–70, 71–80; >80). Results In order to fit in the abstract space, only data of 2017 are presented, although years 2008 to 2017 were also analyzed and results were similar. Mortality/100,000 of IPH stayed very low under 40 years of age and then grew exponentially in both, men and women, and was significantly higher for men for all age strata. Mortality of SDH was much lower but behaved in a similar way: exponential growth since 40s and lower incidence in women. SAH behaved differently: it started to be significant since 20 years of age and there were no gender differences. Conclusion Mortality of intraparenchymal and subdural hemorrhage increases exponentially since 40 years of age and is lower in women. On the contrary, mortality of subarachnoid hemorrhage increases earlier and there are no gender differences. Death/100.000 intracranial hemorrhage Funding Acknowledgement Type of funding source: None

This paper examines the treatment of women by men in two areas of male-dominated employment: specific professions and non- traditional ‘manual’ employment such as construction, transport, and other trade workers. Based on data from secondary sources, and in-depth interviews with non-traditionally employed women in Northern Ireland, the paper is divided into three main parts. The first section assesses the extent of harassment and discrimination towards women in male- dominated professions; the second provides a similar account of the treatment of non-traditionally employed women in Northern Ireland. Evidence suggests that there is a dichotomy in the treatment of women between the two areas discussed - given that men and women in ‘manual’ employment seem to sustain a more ‘peer-like’ relationship than their counterparts in some male-dominated professions. Thus, in the third section of the paper, while attempting to avoid the trap of dualism, I posit reasons for the existence of such a dichotomy.

1. A survey was done of 2333 men and women who claimed experience of slimming.2. Their loss of weight was determined from their maximum stated weight and their present weight. The loss of weight was calculated as the percentage of the maximum weight and was related to the stated age of onset of obesity.3. The results showed that those people in the survey who had been fat since childhood had lost just as much weight as those people who had become fat as adults.4. These results suggest that the treatment of early-onset obesity may not be an unrealistic objective.

Marriage is a sacred bond in Islam that ties a man and a woman into a lifelong relationship of love, compassion, mutual understanding, respect and security. It is a firm pledge that one makes in the name of Allah for one-another. ‘Misyar marriage’, ‘Convenience marriage’ or ‘Travelers’ marriage’ is a new form of marriage practiced widely in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and other gulf states. The ‘Misyar bride’ sacrifices some of her marital rights, such as expenses, fixed duration, and an abode. The scholars in Islam have different opinions about this form of marriage. Some of them supported it vehemently, as it could reduce the number of ladies without husbands; while yet others strongly oppose it, as it sounds like part-time wives, which has no roots in Islamic heritage. The present study therefore aims to explore the real status of ‘Misyar or convenience marriage’ in the texts from the Qur’an, Prophet’s Sunnah, the practices of his rightly guided Companions and the Fatawa of the traditional and modern scholars. It would analyze them in the light of the current realities and situations prevailing in many countries of the Muslim world. The study would adopt a critical yet objective approach in dealing with the issue. It is believed that the study would help the Muslim men and women to have clear insights on the issue based on the Shari`ah texts, scholars’ Fatawa and present day realities.
