This article aims to developing a crossword-based Al-'Ashri textbook in grade VII and to determine the improvement of the textbook on Arabic vocabulary mastery for grade VII at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan. This study uses research and development (Research and development) with the Sugiyono development model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The results of this study indicate that the development of the crossword-based Al-'Ashri textbook based on the assessments of content experts and design experts obtained very feasible criteria. From the expert's assessment, a trial was conducted on seventh grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Tulangan and the development was able to improve the Arabic vocabulary mastery of the seventh grade students. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test analysis where tcount 10.82 > ttable 1.803 that means H1 is accepted.

The development research is initiated by the lack of students’ knowledge in determining the understand the concept of hydrocarbons, and aimed at designing the student worksheet based on Think Talk Write (TTW). Using Research and Development model of 3D (Define, Design, and Develop), this study included validation sheet, teacher and students questionnaires, and pretest posttest as the instruments. The study revealed a number of findings. First, the average score of validation criteria was 94,60% (strongly valid), with an average score of media expert by 93,75% (strongly valid). Second, the results of practicality criteria taken from the students respon were 93,8% (strongly practical), and from the teacher respon was 82,8% (strongly practical). Third, the effectiveness criteria of pretest and posttest after taught using student worksheet based on TTW and counted by N-gain was considered very good (0,75). In conclusion, the student worksheet based on TTW is effectively used as teaching materials in hydrocarbon in class XI Science MA Al-Mustaqim.

This study aims to develop a culture-based mathematics comic learning media using research and development or R & D methods with the ASSURE model. This development research was conducted in three Junior High Schools (JHS) in one sub-district, Pasar Minggu sub-district, South Jakarta. This research has been tested to various experts, namely: two material experts with very good categories and a percentage of 86%, 72% from one linguist with a good category, 96% from one development expert with a very good category, and get a percentage 3,4 with a good category from one graphic design expert. While the results of one to one test evaluations get an average of 84% which falls into the good category, small group test with a percentage of 85% with a very good category, and a large group test using the t-test results obtained tcount > ttable. Based on the evaluation results from several experts, using learning media in the form of mathematical comics is considered feasible and can increase students' interest and learning outcomes.

This research used correlation-quantitative research. The subject of this research was the students of seventh grade junior high school in Buleleng regency. The object of this research was the students’ learning interests affected by the students’ perception about the school zoning enrolment system for the new students. The data were taken by spreading the questionnaires, doing the observation and interviewing. The respondent in this research were 318 students of seventh grade junior high school in Buleleng regency who chosen randomly from each school. There were two variables in this research, the students’ perception about the school zoning system (X) and the students’ learning interests (Y). This research was analysed by using one sample t-Test, linier test and simple linear regression test. The results showed that: (1) students' perception of school zoning system for junior high students in Buleleng regency have been carried out so well. Also, the facilities and the infrastructures already supported the policy properly. The results showed an average number on 38,317 and the t-Test showed 29,196. (2) The students' learning interests in junior high school Buleleng regency showed a quite good result. This statement was supported by the average number on 2.7758 and the T-test was 29,20. (3) There was a significant result between the students’ perception about the school zoning system and the student’s learning interest. This result was supported by doing an analysis of independent sample t-Test analysis with a t-count showed 1,848 > 1,655 with percentage 56%.
