BACKGROUND: Utilization barriers of mental health services are the lack of knowledge about mental health. AIM: This study aimed to identify the knowledge and understanding of the families of people with mental disorders about mental disorders. METHODS: This study is a qualitative research with phenomenological approach. Data were obtained by interview, unstructured observation, and documentation on seven informants in Puskesmas Larompong Luwu, South Sulawesi. Content analysis was used to identify topics or categories in the data. RESULTS: The family of people with mental disorders still has negative views about people with mental disorders. People with mental disorders are often called the term “lunatic,” insane, scary, and dangerous. In addition, people with mental disorders regarded as a person who has a disease that makes people uncomfortable because of behavior that is unnatural. Families have an understanding that the causes of mental disorders associated with the occult and mystical or supernatural events. The factors that cause families have minimal understanding of the appropriate handling for people with mental disorders. CONCLUSION: It was concluded that the knowledge and understanding of mental disorder which is owned by the family of people with mental disorders as the holder of a healing role in supporting people with mental disorders are lacking.

The purpose of this study is to find out how the community's response is toward the study program of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. This research is a qualitative research which in collecting data it uses a phenomenological approach. Data collected is based on inner perspective of human behavior. The main data sources of this study were from Muslim community leaders and were selected by purposive sampling domiciled in Padangsidimpuan. The results found that the community emphasized that the vision, mission and objectives of the development of the Study Program of Al-Qur'an and Tafsir were truly directed towards strengthening scientific and methodological competence in understanding and interpreting the Qur'an. According to the community, the urgent curriculum content was, first, the linguistics of the Qur'an. The second is the sciences concerned the intricacies and various aspects of the Qur'an, which is commonly called ‘ulum al-Qur`an. The third is about the sciences related to the interpretation of manhaj (an approach and methodology of interpretation) that is classical, modern and contemporary. The fourth is the sciences related to the intricacies and various aspects of the hadits which are commonly called ‘ulum al-hadits. The fifth is the sciences related to the philosophy of science and research methodology. The sixth is the sciences related to social science and nature. These aspects are useful for understanding the social and scientific aspects of the verses of the Qur'an.

The study is done to analyze influence in partial and simultaneous between variables health services and penyenggaraan food to the level of consciousness healthy life residents under the jurisdiction of corrective services in a correctional institution class IIB slawi. Methods used is the method quantitative descriptive, by using 162 respondents. An instrument used is the questionnaire covered with a scale likert that has been tested validity and reliability, test results show the questionnaire valid and reliable/reliabel. The testing of hypotheses carried out using of linear equations multiple. The research results show that: and in partial: (1) health services berperngaruh positive on awareness healthy life; (2) the convention food have had a positive impact on awareness healthy life, (3) simultaneously shows that health services and the implementation of food have had a positive impact on awareness healthy life for prisoners in lapas class IIB slawi Password: health services, the food, awareness healthy life.

Regency in North Sumatra Province has 213 hospital units consisting of 187 general hospitals and 26 specialized hospitals, although there are many health services but many seek treatment abroad, such as to Penang, Malaysia. In 2015 there were 600,000 patients taking treatment to Penang. The amount of government foreign exchange issued to foreign hospitals is as much as 600 million dollars in one year, if this is not immediately handled it will have a negative impact on the country's economy. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of Karo Ethnics who seek treatment in Penang. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Participants numbered eight people. The themes found in this study are three, namely (1) getting a financial comparison, (2) choosing health services, (3) getting satisfying health services. In conclusion, participants had less than satisfactory experiences, so Karo Ethnics tried to find and choose satisfying health services. It is recommended to health services in Indonesia to improve health services to the community.
