Progress of agriculture is becoming increasingly reliant on the successful application of technology. However, many developing countries depend on technology transfer from other countries to be utilized in large and complex projects in agriculture. This study intends to identify strategic directions for successful technology transfer in developing countries’ agriculture with Kazakhstan as a case study. A SWOT analysis was conducted using Internal Factor Evaluation, External Factor Evaluation, Strategic Position and Action Evaluation, and Quantitative Strategic Planning matrices as analytical methods, based on primary data from interviews and secondary data from reports. With a weight of 52%, opportunities prevail in external factors, with emerging good geographical position, land area latitude, and participation in economic integrations as the most significant ones. On the other hand, internal factors such as emerging low skills in agricultural innovation, insufficient resources in agriculture, old technologies and worn-out equipment, and lack of mechanisms for effective adaptation of foreign technologies to local conditions are indicated as weaknesses, with the percentage of 82%. This study includes twenty-six strategies that were specially designed for technology transfer, and nine of them are considered the most relevant in overcoming internal weaknesses by exploiting external opportunities. Promoting agriculture in an innovative direction, expanding the resource base necessary for technology transfer, and increasing sources of funding for the transfer of technology and the R&D expenditures in agriculture make a top 3 of these strategies. These results will be of interest for policymakers in decision-making on technology transfer in agriculture.

AbstractThis study aims to identify internal environmental factors, and external environmental factors that affect the company's business and formulate appropriate types of strategies that can be applied by PT Esa Jaya Global in the development of its business. The type of research used in this study is qualitative. Data collection techniques used are triangulation of three techniques, namely semi-structured interviews, frank observation and documents. The source of data used consists of primary data and secondary data. Furthermore, the data was processed descriptively using EFE (External Factor Evaluation) Matrix, IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) Matrix, SWOT Analysis Matrix, and data from the three matrices were analyzed by QSPM to determine the best and suitable strategy to be implemented in PT Esa Jaya Global . The results of this study indicate that PT Esa Jaya Global has 9 strength factors, 6 weakness factors, 2 opportunity factors, and 4 threat analyzes that affect the company. Based on the QSPM analysis, the best strategy for PT Esa Jaya Global is to conduct a work contract with customers and company partners who have the highest STAS value of 5.728.Key word: Logistic Expedition, EFE, IFE, SWOT, QSPM.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor lingkungan internal, dan faktor lingkungan eksternal yang mempengaruhi bisnis perusahaan serta merumuskan jenis strategi yang sesuai dan dapat diterapkan oleh PT Esa Jaya Global dalam pengembangan bisnisnya. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi dari tiga teknik yaitu wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi terus terang dan dokumen. Sumber data yang digunakan terdiri dari data primer dan data sekunder. Selanjutnya data diolah secara deskriptif menggunakan Matriks EFE (External Factor Evaluation), Matriks IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation), Matriks Analisis SWOT, dan data dari ketiga matriks tersebut dianalisis dengan QSPM untuk menetapkan strategi yang paling baik dan cocok untuk diimplementasikan pada PT Esa Jaya Global. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa PT Esa Jaya Global memiliki 9 faktor kekuatan, 6 faktor kelemahan, 2 faktor peluang, dan 4 analisis ancaman yang berpengaruh terhadap perusahaan. Berdasarkan analisis QSPM, strategi terbaik untuk PT Esa Jaya Global adalah melakukan kontrak kerja dengan pelanggan dan mitra perusahaan yang memiliki nilai STAS tertinggi yaitu 5,728.Kata kunci: Ekspedisi Logistik, EFE, IFE, SWOT, QSPM

This study identifies the potential of tourism products in Sukajadi Village Bogor Regency based on ten (10) tourism components as well as its development strategy, which is currently included in the category of a newly developing tourist village. The results of this research are aggressive and serious development strategies in all aspects of the tourism component, namely increasing the quality and diversification of tourist attractions and activities, accessibility, improving the quality and quantity of tourism amenities, improving the quality of human resources & institutions, community support, land use, tourism industry cooperation, as well as marketing aspects. This research type is a descriptive qualitative with a case study exploratory approach. Primary data is obtained from direct observation and interviews with key informants, namely Pokdarwis and the Village Head, while secondary data is the result of literature studies and research documentation. The analysis technique of this research uses SWOT analysis and Matrix, analysis of the work program of the vision for tourism development of the Bogor Regency Government which refers to local government master plan for tourism development (RIPPARDA), and also analysis of the Cleanlines, Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability (CHSE) guidelines.

This study aims to determine the cost, revenue and profit in potato cultivation in  Ngablak  subdistrict,  analyze  internal  and  external  factors,  formulate  strategic alternatives, prioritize strategies that can be applied in developing in potato cultivation in  the  Ngablak  subdistrict.  The  basic  method  of  research  is  descriptive  analysis.  The research location in Ngablak subdistrict  Magelang regency. The data used are primary and  secondary  data.  Analysis  of  the  data  were  used:  (1)  Cost,  Revenue,  Income  and Profit, (2) Analysis of Internal Factor Evaluation, (3) External Factor Evaluation, (4) SWOT  Analysis,  (5)  QSPM.  The  Results  showed,  the  cost  potato  cultivationis Rp.11,413,271.00,  revenue  is  Rp.18,631,117.00.  income  to  Rp.7,217,846.00  and  the profit received Rp.4,827,071.00. Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) showed that there are four strengths and six weaknesses. External Factor Evaluation (EFE) shows that there are six opportunities and three threats. SWOT Analysis generate alternative strategies that  can  be  applied  is  to  maintain  the  quality  and  increase  the  quantity  of  potato cultivation  with  agricultural  intensification,  maximizing  land  for  planting  potato through  monoculture  cropping  systems  and  crop  rotation  as  well  as  utilizing  existing technology and marketing cooperation relationship with more than a middleman. QSPM analysis showed that the priority of strategy can be applied is to maintain the quality and increasing the quantity of potato cultivation with agricultural intensification.

This study aims to identify internal factors and external factors of UD Betris, as well as to determine the strategy for developing the business of bamboo batik handicraft industry UD Betris. Betris in Meras Village. This research was conducted from April to June 2018. The data used were primary data and secondary data. Primary data is obtained through observation and interviews which are divided into two parties, namely internal parties (business owners and labor) and external parties (local government and consumers) with 8 (eight) respondents. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from literature studies. Analysis of the data used is by using a SWOT analysis. The results showed that internal factors include: raw materials, quality of raw materials, price of raw materials, product uniqueness, business spirit and craftsman skills, product prices, product durability and quality, not having financial records, traditional production equipment, product arrangement that has not been arranged neat, promotion is not efficient, does not have a special place of business, and there is no parking space. external factors include: high market opportunities, government support, opportunities for training, opportunities to participate in exhibitions, plastic substitute goods, interest in business successors, and the existence of competitors using modern production tools. Based on the SWOT diagram, the chosen strategy is a combination of SO, namely: 1) Maintaining product quality and continuing to develop products by innovating to create bamboo handicraft products with new designs. 2) Continue to work with the government and related agencies to develop and expand marketing areas so that products are better known to local and foreign communities through training and exhibition events. *jnkd*.

Objective - The purpose of this study is to identify the issues in implementing information sharing practice in an organization related to the technical and non-technical aspect. This study attempts to discuss the indicator and strategies for information sharing practice, which appropriate in Malaysian land administration. Methodology/Technique - This study will be conducted in a qualitative method. Primary data will be obtained from an interviewed session with the respondents and will be analyzed using a thematic and SWOT analysis. Secondary data will be collected from the content analysis of literature and previous study Findings - It shows that the issues related to technical and non-technical aspect divided into four themes. Each theme is divided into external strength and weakness; and internal threat and opportunities. Based on the findings, the discussion is expected to highlight the suggestions strategies in enabling information sharing for solving problems related to land administration. Novelty - There is a lack of study related to information sharing practice in land administration organization in this region. This study can fill in the gap and provide a useful solution and reference taken into consideration to the top management, policy maker, technical team and the user in land administration organization. Badung Regency is more dominated by beach tourism. More than ten famous beaches in Bali are in Badung Regency. These beaches are only located in a few districts in Badung Regency. Inequality between sub-districts also occurs between areas that have tourism potential such as beaches and areas that have other tourism potential such as waterfalls or other tourism. This will create new problems for Badung Regency in the future. In fact, sub-districts that do not have coastal tourism potential have challenges as well as opportunities to develop. One of them is Petang District, Pelaga Village. This village does not have beach tourism but has other natural potentials that can be used as an attraction for tourists to come and visit Pelaga Village. These potential differences must be implemented which can then be used as opportunities for Pelaga Village. The purpose of this research is to produce a strategy to develop Pelaga Village as a tourism destination. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data obtained from primary data and secondary data. The data is then processed using data triangulation techniques to reduce the researcher's subjectivity and is also analyzed using SWOT analysis to produce a development strategy. In this study, it was found that Pelaga Village has a lot of potential for agro-tourism and can be developed such as asparagus and some hydroponic plants. . Not only that, the community's high interest in developing agro-tourism also supports the development of Pelaga Village. After assessing the potential that is owned by the opportunity, the threat from Pelaga Village came up with several development strategies for Pelaga Village, namely to further activate the community, especially farmer groups in developing their agro products. increasing the existence of the Agricultural Culture Festival in Pelaga Village, refining the missing destination components such as the availability of restaurants and inns, creating an organization that can bring together various farmer groups in Pelaga Village, in relation to the community in developing and managing the potentials of Pelaga Village.

This paper addresses pesticide residues on vegetables in developing countries through the specific case of Costa Rica.  Pesticide residues are often very high on vegetables in developing countries, generally considerably higher than in industrialized countries.  Using a political ecology approach, I combine qualitative and quantitative primary data with secondary data to answer two questions.  Why do farmers use pesticides in a manner that results in high levels of residues on vegetables?  And, how do markets with unequal regulatory strength affect farmers' pesticides use, and, by inference, the resulting exposure of different populations fed by different market segments?  While usually attributed to farmer ignorance, I argue that the pesticide residue problem arises from a triad of causes: higher efficacy of more residual and toxic pesticides, combined with many vegetables' biological trait of consecutive harvests, and a volatile vegetable market upon which farm household reproduction depends.  With high input costs and low farm gate prices, farmers in markets with minimal regulation will use more residual and toxic pesticides.  Using the idea of a double standard, I show that lax regulation in the open national market means that farmers are less cautious about residues on national market produce than export produce, and that some export farmers use the open national market as an outlet for their produce when they use highly residual pesticides.  Uneven regulations between North and South are manifested in farmer's management decisions, and lead to the injustice of higher residues in developing country vegetables.Keywords: pesticide residues; pesticide use; uneven regulation; Costa Rica; developing countries; national market vegetables; export vegetables; environmental injustice

This research aims to determine the marketing strategy that must be taken from the results of the SWOT analysis at the b Hotel Bali & Spa Denpasar. This study uses primary data sources and secondary data sources with data collection methods through interviews, observation and questionnaires. The analysis technique used is a qualitative descriptive analysis technique, namely the SWOT analysis technique which explains, first, the data collection stage at the Bali Hotel & Spa Denpasar regarding the identification of internal and external factors in the form of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, the second is the analysis stage, and third namely the stage of decision making to determine the strategy to be taken by the company. The research results from the SWOT analysis show that the company is in quadrant I, where it shows a problem regarding for the strength to see opportunities where the strategy taken is the SO strategy used to be applied in developing strategies that can be suggested at management b Hotel Bali & Spa Denpasar, to can improve the progress of the hotel going forward.

Longgar Outfit is a local fashion brand from Bandung that focuses on plus size women. Longgar Outfit has the vision to become the leading plus size fashion brand in Bandung. Unfortunately, since the appearance of Longgar Outfit on the market in early January 2019, Longgar Outfit has faced problems in penetrating the market. The problem currently being faced by Longgar Outfit is unstable sales. The purpose of the research is to find out a suitable business strategy in order to stable Longgar Outfit sales. This research is conducted to summarize the business strategy for Longgar Outfit using internal and external business environment analysis, customer analysis, and SWOT analysis to determine the root cause. Use a qualitative approach as a research method for understanding a social phenomenon. This approach will find the current business situation, planning business strategies, and proposed new business strategies. Data collection techniques using observation and in-depth interviews as primary data, while secondary data with literature studies using books and journals related to principles of marketing, strategic marketing, and other topics. This research has limitations to the object being observed as many as two competitors who have a similar business model and interviewed 15 potential customers to explore their needs and desires regarding plus size clothing. The results of this research get findings on alternative business solutions for Longgar Outfit. The proposed business strategy for Longgar Outfit consists of a new STP strategy, create value proposition canvas, create a point of difference and point of parity, develop new marketing (4Ps) strategy, and organizational structure plan.

The purpose of the Student Study Service Programs are 1) Synergizing socio-cultural local wisdom with community economic characteristics for preventing degradation of agricultural land through the KKN program. 2) Formulate strategies to increase the potential of villages towards developed and independent villages. The method of collection is done in two kinds, namely primary data by means of surveys, questionnaires and interviews with the village secretary, village apparatus, community leaders, farmer groups and residents around of Panggung Duwet Village’s related to the KKN program, and secondary data in the form of well-documented data such as Blitar Regency in the Numbers, Kademangan District in the Numbers as well as the Report on the Implementation of the Village Administration and/or the Report on the Accountability of the Panggung Duwet Village’s in 2018. The data analysis method was conducted using the social intervention and SWOT analysis approaches. The results of the implementation of the Student Study Service Programs in Panggungduwet Village, Kademangan District are implemented into a work program that is greening, processing waste into organic fertilizer and crafts, processing food commodities such as corn silk syrup, cassava donuts and cassava chips. Analysis of the village situation shown still has weaknesses, namely lack of water supply, especially in the dry season, especially agriculture in line with the opportunities that exist, namely seeking organic fertilizer by utilizing waste and wood sawdust crafts for sale so that the potential is expected to be a catalyst for village development to become advanced and independent. The existence of the Student Study Service Programs can leave a good impression so that the community is willing to begin to change the bad behavior of agricultural land management that ignores the rules of conservation and increased knowledge and skills of processed waste and food processed in order to improve the economic welfare of the community.
