This study aims to determine the headmaster's strategy to improve the work performance of Civil servant [administration department] at Pringgasela Senior High School. This research used the descriptive qualitative research method. The data in this study were obtained from interviews with informants and documentation. The data analysis was carried out in the following steps: data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification (Miles and Huberman, 2014: 20). The results of this study stated that the headmaster's strategy to improve the work performance of civil servants in the administration department: Making disciplinary rules about working hours that must be on time. Building a spirit of togetherness through civil servants’ friends, superiors and subordinates, as well as communication, intimacy and mutual respect. Providing role models for all civil servants. The results of the headmaster's strategy show the work performance of civil servants [administration department] is classified good in providing services, however they have not provided satisfaction to: teachers, students or other related parties. As for the constraints faced when performing performance in providing services, by the Administrative Apparatus such as the lack of responsiveness of the Administrative Apparatus in understanding consumer psychology, the large amount of workload that is carried out in a little bit of time and the supporting infrastructure is inadequate and lack of personel.

The research objective was to determine the Management of Central Market Retribution in Kendari City to Increase Local Revenue. The research method used is a qualitative technique, namely interactive analysis techniques, which have stepped through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The subjects in this research were employees of the Kendari City Tax and Retribution Management Agency, by determining 5 research informants purposively. The results of this research indicate that the management of market fees is not optimal, this can be seen in the ineffective planning of market levy management, because it is not supported by accurate data regarding the potential of the central market, especially traders who have no place in the market. Organizing has also not been effective, in terms of working standards, the attitudes of the central market levies that have not complied with the rules in its implementation, such as rules on working hours, and discrimination in the collection. In the case of the collectors' remuneration that is not on time, and under supervision is still lacking and only relies on reports of monthly revenue. The acceptance of market retribution has also not reached the target, due to the inadequate implementation of the management function, particularly the supervisory function.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the work performance of employees in the Percut Sei Tuan sub-district. The sample in this study was 123 employees, using Structure Equation Modeling (SEM) as a data analysis technique. This study concludes that motivation, self-efficacy, and professionalism have a significant effect on leadership style, while competence does not significantly affect leadership style. Leadership style and motivation do not significantly affect work performance, while self-efficacy, professionalism and competence significantly affect work performance. This study provides information that in order to improve employees' work performance, strong leadership is needed and can provide motivation that increases confidence in the ability of employees and also increases professionalism in carrying out duties and responsibilities as a civil servant. Competence is a necessity that must be owned by all employees (civil servants) who are given responsibility by the leadership.

Abstraksi   Masyarakat Sumbawa dikenal sebagai masyarakat yang heterogen, karena dihuni oleh penduduk dari berbagai suku, etnis, bahasa dan agama dengan konsekuensi terhadap pembawaan adat-istiadat serta sistem hidup yang berbeda-beda. Kondisi ini adalah salah satu modal utama yang jika disalahgunakan akan bisa berdampak negatif dengan munculnya sentimen-sentimen dan konflik komunal yang bisa merusak sistem kehidupan bermasyarakat. Proses mediasi, arbitrasi dan negosiasi adalah salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan  dalam meresolusi konflik selama ini. Sedangkan masih banyak metode atau pendekatan lain yang dirasa cukup efektif dan kadang terlupakan dalam pendekatan pencegahan dan resolusi konflik yaitu melalui pendekatan Kecerdasan Budaya.Sehingga riset ini, mencoba mengangkat masalah urgensi kecerdasan budaya dalam mencegah dan meresolusi konflik. Adapun masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1).Faktor-faktor apa saja yang bisa menyebabkan terjadinya konflik dalam masyarakat?, 2). Siapa saja yang berperan sebagai struktural, akselerator dan pemakin atau trigger dalam konflik tersebut?, 3). Pendekatan apa saja yang selama ini digunakan dalam upaya mencegah dan menyelesaikan konflik dalam masyarakat oleh pemerintah?, 4). Mengapa kecerdasan budaya sangat penting dalam mencegah dan menyelesaikan konflik tersebut? Metode riset yang digunakan adalah deskriptif-kualitatif.Dengan tujuan agar pengungkapan fenomena di lokasi penelitian secara leluasa memungkin untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal karena data tersebut valid dan dapat dipertanggung- jawabkan secara ilmiah dan rasional. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ada  yaitu teknik observasi, interview dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dimulai dari proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan keabsahan datayang terdiri dari Derajat kepercayaan (credibility), Keteralihan (transferability), Ketergantungan (dependability), dan Kepastian (comfirmability). Hasil penelitian, bahwa Terjadinya konflik di Kabupaten Sumbawa disebabkan karena adanya faktor Struktural, Akselerator dan Trigger (SAT) konflik, misalnya seperti: masih ada dan kuatnya Political Memory dalam Masyarakat. Serta pentingnya Kecerdasan Budaya dalam mencegah dan menyelesaikan konflik, karena semua aspek-aspek yang ada dalam Kecerdasan Budaya seperti: Pengetahuan, Strategi, Motivasi dan Perilaku ternyata memiliki relevansi dan kemampuan untuk mendorong dan menciptakan suasana yang aman, damai dan harmonis dalam masyarakat sepanjang masyarakat bisa dan mampu menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan Budaya, Pencegahan, Resolusi, Konflik   The Sumbawa community is known as a heterogeneous society, inhabited by people of various ethnic, ethnic, linguistic and religious backgrounds with consequences for different customs and systems of life. This condition is one of the main capital that if misused will be able to negatively impact the emergence of sentiments and communal conflicts that can damage the system of social life. The process of mediation, arbitration and negotiation is one of the approaches used in resolving conflicts over the years. While there are many other methods or approaches that are considered quite effective and sometimes forgotten in the approach of prevention and conflict resolution is through the approach of Cultural Intelligence. So this research, trying to raise the urgency issue of the cultural intelligence in preventing and resolving the conflict. The problems raised in this study are: 1). What factors can cause conflict in society ?, 2). Who actor that acts as a structural, accelerator and trigger or trigger in the conflict ?, 3). What approaches have been used in preventing and resolving the conflict in society by the government ?, 4). Why is cultural intelligence so important in preventing and resolving the conflict? The research method in this research is descriptive-qualitative. The aim of this research that the disclosure of the phenomenon in the research location freely possible to get maximum results because the data is valid and can be accounted scientifically and rationally.Data collection techniques that is used in this research are techniques of observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques start from the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data validity consisting of credibility, transferability, dependability and comfirmability. The result of the research, that the occurrence of conflict in Sumbawa Regency caused by Structural factor, Accelerator and Trigger (SAT) conflict, for example: there is still and strong Political Memory in Society. As well as the importance of Cultural Intelligence in preventing and resolving of conflicts, as all aspects of Cultural Intelligence such as: Knowledge, Strategy, Motivation and Behavior have the relevance and ability to encourage and create a safe, peaceful and harmonious atmosphere in society as long as society can and able to internalize these values ​​in everyday life. Abstract The ability of the Civil Servants can be improved, one of which is through promotion according to the level of service and adjustment of the diploma obtained. In the general explanation of Government Regulation Number 12 of 2002 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 99 of 2000 concerning Promotion of Civil Servants explained the promotion is an award given for the work performance and dedication of the concerned Civil Servants to the State. in addition, promotion is also intended as an encouragement to Civil Servants to further improve their work performance and service. Based on the background of the problem, the formulation of the problem in this study is as follows: how to regulate the promotion of Civil Servants based on diploma adjustments in accordance with Government Regulation Number 12 of 2002 concerning Promotion of Civil Servants and whether constraints in promotion through diploma adjustment are appropriate with Government Regulation Number 12 of 2002 concerning Promotion of Civil Servants. The type of research used in this study is normative legal research, meaning that the study in this study is based on legal philosophy, legal principles, and applicable legal norms relating to the regulation of promotion of civil servants based on diploma adjustments. This research used a statute approach, a historical approach and a conceptual approach. The conclusion of this study is the regulation of the promotion of Civil Servants based on diploma adjustments, given to Civil Servants who obtain Higher Learning Certificates / Diplomas that are higher than the diplomas used when applying to become Civil Servants. For example, candidates for Civil Servants when appointed as high school / senior high school civil servants, with rank / class II / a, after + 5 years of work obtain a S1 diploma, if adjusted for the diploma be the rank / class III / a Civil Servants. To obtain a higher rank / class of civil servants / or a level higher than the previous rank / class can be carried out if the diploma obtained is in accordance with the Job Job occupied by the civil servant, there is a formation in that place, has permission to study for those who continuing education and having fulfilled a minimum of 3 (three) years in service. This research studied about how the mythical meaning of Banyu (water) applyed in Banjar language based on the lexicon  and contextual source. The purpose of this research was describing the myth meaning of Banyu in Banjar language based on its lexicon source and the function based on its contextl. The research method was qualitative descriptive.The data collection techniques had used  observing-conversation  technique. The frame of work was data collection, data processing, and results of data analysis. The sampling technique that used in this paper was the purposive sampling, the sampling technique of data source collection with considering. The data collection that had been takenfrom January  to December 2017. The place where data were collectedwas at Padang Village, Banjar Regency. The data presentation was using ordinary words. The result showed thath  myth meaning of Banyu that applyed in Banjar language based on lexicon source consisted of  original source, material, and pars proto whilee based on contextual were ordinary and magical, or religious. Later, it was used  as regular drinking water,  therapy water, and  medication.Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang bagaimana aplikasi makna mitos Banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikon dan  kontekstual. Tujuan penelitian meliputi deskripsi aplikasi makna mitos banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikon dan fungsi Banyu dalam bahasa Banjar berdasarkan kontekstual.  Metode yang digunakan adalah deskrieptif kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data adalah simak dan libat cakap. Langkah kerja adalah pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, dan hasil analisis data. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah  purposive sampling, yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel sumber data yang mempertimbangan waktu pengambilan data pada bulan Januari sampai  bulan desember 2017. Tempat pengambilan data di Desa Padang, Kabupaten Banjar. Penyajian data  menggunakan kata-kata biasa. Hasil penelitian aplikasi makna mitos banyu pada bahasa banjar berdasarkan sumber leksikonnya terdiri atas sumber asal, bahan, dan pars proto, sedangkan berdasarkan konstektual  bersifat biasa dan magis, atau religi. Ada yang difungsikan sebagai air minum biasa, terapi, dan  pengobatan.

Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) mendeskripsikan proses perumusan visi dan misi sekolah; (2) mendeskripsikan strategi yang dibuat sekolah dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi; (3) mendeskripsikan gambaran ketercapaian dari visi yang telah dibuat sekolah; (4) mengidentifikasi faktor yang mempengaruhi sekolah dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi selama ini; dan (5) menemukan strategi yang efektif dalam mewujudkan visi dan misi yang telah dirumuskan sekolah. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis fenomenologi. Data dianalisis melalui proses pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) proses perumusan visi dan misi sekolah dilakukan melalui rapat internal yang dibuat oleh kepala sekolah dengan memperhatikan visi lembaga di atas sekolah, nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat, dan relevansi dengan perkembangan zaman; (2) strategi yang dibuat ketiga sekolah memang sedikit berbeda-beda namun pada dasarnya dapat dianalisis dengan dimensi proses, konten, dan konteks; (3) visi ketiga sekolah dapat dikatakan belum tercapai karena beberapa unsur yang ada di dalam visi belum sepenuhnya terwujud; (4) sumber daya manusia, pendanaan, metode, sarana prasarana, kepemimpinan sekolah, dan komunikasi mempengaruhi ketercapaian dari visi dan misi sekolah; dan (5) strategi yang efektif dalam upaya mewujudkan visi dan misi sekolah dapat dilakukan dengan cara membangun harapan individu menjadi visi bersama, membuat prioritas pembangunan dengan indikator ketercapaiannya, membangun motivasi berprestasi, meningkatkan partisipasi orang tua, dan membangun kemitraan dengan berbagai pihak. Kata kunci: strategi mewujudkan visi dan misi STRATEGIES IN ACTUALIZING VISION AND MISSION SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN DISTRICT KASIHAN, BANTUL Abstract This study aims to: (1) describe the formulation of schools’ vision and missions; (2) describe the schools’ strategies to actualize the vision and mission; (3) describe the illustration of vision and missions achievement formulated by schools; (4) identify factors that affect the schools in actualizing their visions and missions; and (5) find an effective strategy to actualize the vision and mission. The study used a qualitative approach with the type of phenomenology. Data were analyzed through the process of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Results of the study: (1) the process formulation of schools’ vision and missions was done by internal meeting conducted by the headmaster by considering higher institution’s vision, values in society, and relevance of current development (2) strategies designed by those three schools are little bit different and can be basically analyzed with the dimension of process, content, and context (3) the schools’ visions were said to be not yet achieved since some elements/components of vision and mission have not been completed (4) human’s resource, funding, methods, facility and infrastructure, leadership in school, and communication affect the actualization of schools’ visions and missions, and (5) effective strategy to actualize vision and missions of schools can be done by uniting individual expectation into shared vision, creating development priority along with its achievement indicator, building achievement motivation, increasing parent’s participation, and building partnership with any stakeholders. This study aimed to provide an overview of the implementation of the method of educating with heart on student character formation at MTS Nurul Iman Modong, Tanah Abang District, Pali. The research method used was a qualitative method. Data were taken through observation and interviews. Respondents consisted of 20 students of  grade 3 of Mts Nurul Iman Modong. The data obtained from observation and interview were then analyzed by using interactive analysis through several components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The learning used in this research was the method of educating by heart. This study provided illustration that, through the concept of educating with heart can lead to a good, have moral and character generations.

The purpose of this research is to find out the efforts of Arabic language teachers to improve students' ability in mastering vocabularies. The research method used is descriptive analysis. The data collection technique used is interview with Arabic language teachers. The data analysis techniques in this study use the theory of Miles and Humberman including: Data Collection, Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Drawing Conclusions. Arabic teachers' efforts to improve students' ability in mastering vocabularies consist of three aspects: (1) The use of strategies in vocabularies learning such as teaching vocabularies and making students listen to it, instructing students to repeat vocabulary, displaying pictures to understand the meaning of vocabularies, teaching vocabularies with appropriate songs on certain materials and repeating vocabulary at each class hour (2) The use of methods in vocabulary learning such as giving examples or the teacher displays something in accordance with the vocabularies to understand the vocabularies, playing simple roles, repeating the reading, using a vocabulary command and chain message game. (3) The use of media in vocabulary learning such as printed drawing media, blackboards and textbooks.

This study aims to analyze the effect of work behavior, teaching work goals, research and service on work performance, and analyze the effect of work behavior on teaching work goals, research and community service. The research method used was a research method combination of explanatory sequential design models. The first phase was conducted using quantitative method. The quantitative data were obtained from 96 lecturers of civil servants at Mulawarman University using a proportional stratified cluster random sampling technique. Data was collected by documentation based on the value of the employee work goals in 2020 which was then analyzed using statistical path analysis. Subsequently, the second phase was carried out using the qualitative method by collecting data through interviews, participant observation and documentation related to work behavior, teaching work goals, research, community service, and job performance of civil servants lecturers at Mulawarman University. The results revealed that 1) there was an influence of behavior, teaching work goals, research and community service together based on quantitative and qualitative analysis, 2) there was an influence of behavior on teaching work goals, research, community service and work performance based on quantitative analysis and qualitative. 3) Based on qualitative data, the leadership style also affected the work performance of lecturers of civil servants at Mulawarman University.

This study aims to develop environmental-based worksheets to increase motivation and interest in learning for high school students and a description of students' learning difficulties in biology class X SMA Negeri 7 Lubuklinggau. The research method used is Research and development. The sample of this research is 30 students. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations and documents. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the LKPD developed was suitable for use by high school students of Class X and there were difficulties in learning biology on environmental pollution materials. This learning difficulty is caused by the difficulty in understanding the material presented in the teaching materials. In addition, learning difficulties experienced by students are also triggered by low learning motivation caused by not being interested in biology lessons, inappropriate teaching techniques, facilities and infrastructure, and inadequate learning resources
