Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Tunas Bangsa Sunter Jakarta Utara. Adapun tujuan  dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh pemahaman mendalam Manajemen Pendidikan Karakter SMP Tunas Bangsa. Data yang dikumpulkan dari responden melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, teori dan waktu. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah reduksi data dan display data. Hasil temuan penelitian meliputi: (1) Perencanaan Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah Tunas Bangsa, yang selaras dengan visi dan misi, dengan berfokus kepada karakter ketaatan dan penuh perhatian, Kepala sekolah dan timnya membuat program sekolah berbasis karakter; (2) Pelaksanaan Program Pendidikan Karakter, semua program sekolah tersebut disosialisasikan melalui staff meeting, pekan informasi pembelajaran dengan orang tua siswa dan seluruh siswa di awal tahuan pembelajaran; 3) Pengawasan pelaksanaan Program Pendidikan Karakter, untuk memastikan semua kegiatan sekolah berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan, visi, misi yang ada. Kepala sekolah harus memastikan dengan observasi kepada siswa dan guru dengan standard performa. Temuan mengarah pada rekomendasi untuk menerapkan pendidikan karakter dapat membentuk siswa untuk memiliki kepemimpinan, kemandirian, perilaku yang baik, tanggung jawab sendiri, rasa yang baik di masyarakat, kreatif dan inovatif, ini semua termasuk kepala sekolah, guru dan juga orang tua untuk terlibat agar dapat terlaksana dan tujuan tercapai.Kata kunci: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan EDUCATION MANAGEMENT IN FORMING STUDENT CHARACTER OF SMP TUNAS BANGSA SUNTERAbstractThis research was carried out at SMP Tunas Bangsa Sunter, North Jakarta. The purpose of this study was to obtain an in-depth understanding of the Tunas Bangsa Middle School Character Management. Data collected from respondents through interviews, observation and documentation studies.The data were collected through participant observation using interview, observation, document study and recording. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that: 1)Planning of Character Education  in Tunas Bangsa School based on vision and mission, focusing in Attentive and obedience character, the headmaster and team made school programs based on character. 2) Actuating of Character Education, all school programs have to socialized through Staff Meeting, Information Day with parents and of course to all students in the new semester. 3) Controlling of Character Education to improve that all school activities would done according to planning, vision and mission. Headmaster has to ensure by observe teachers, students with standard of performance. The finding lead to the recommendation to apply character education could formed students to have leadership, independence, good behavior, self responsible, good sense in community, creative and innovative, these all includes headmaster, teachers and also parents to contribute their effort to make it happen.Keywords: planning, actuating, controlling

This study aims to identify and explain the management of character education in terms of planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring in improving the quality of education in State Senior High Schools (SMAN). This research was descriptive qualitative. Sources of data in this study were principals, vice principals, and teachers. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. Based on data analysis, it was found that character education management is started from planning students’ character education by determining the goals, constructing programs or school activities, and integrating character values. Furthermore, the organization of character education is carried out by dividing the tasks and the person in charge of the activity or program. Next, the implementation of character education is through the integration of character values in all subjects, in the school daily activities, in school programs, as well as building communication and cooperation between schools and parents of students. Lastly, character education is done through supervision consists of observing students’ behavior and scoring mentioned in students’ discipline book.

AbstractPositive youth development (PYD) is an approach to child and adolescent education that provides resources in the school and community to enable youth to reach their full potential and to flourish in a democratic society. The approach draws on various disciplines and legacies in its practices and approaches, ranging from school curricula to out-of-school activities that have long traditions, such as scouting and 4-H clubs. We take note of the philosophical tradition stemming from Aristotle that prioritized acquiring various virtues as the path to human happiness and how virtues of justice, temperance, courage, and prudence are the focus for many present-day programs under the umbrella of PYD. We review the dominant theories of PYD as well as school programs that have been developed to encourage PYD, including social-emotional learning, character education, civics education, and service learning. We also examine the effects of out-of-school programs on PYD outcomes. We conclude with the prospects for PYD and the challenges that remain for its future development.

The purpose of this study is to identify the fight against brawl culture in high schools (SMA) through the implementation of character education in the Child Friendly School policy. The approach used is qualitative with the object of research teachers and principals. Data collection in this study uses interviews, observation and recommendation studies. Based on research results found that through good character education management that involves teachers and principals as examples in the application of character education, it can encourage students not to fight.

The purpose of this research is to find out the description of pesantren financial management. By the title of the research, the research uses the literature method. The results of the study explained that financial management is an act of financial administration/administration which includes recording, planning, implementation, accountability, and reporting. Thus, school financial management can be interpreted as a series of activities regulating school finance from planning, accounting, spending, supervision, and accountability of school finances. Financial management of boarding schools is one of the substances of the management of educational institutions that will also determine the smooth operation of boarding schools. As is the case with the substance of education management in general, financial management activities in Islamic boarding schools should be carried out through the processes of planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, supervising, or controlling. Some financial management activities take the form of obtaining and determining sources of funding, use of funds, reporting, auditing, and accountability. Through financial management activities, the funding needs of Islamic boarding school activities can be planned, procured, transparently recorded, and used to finance the implementation of Islamic boarding school programs effectively and efficiently. For that purpose, the financial management of Islamic boarding schools includes: (1) Improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the use of financial boarding schools; (2) Increasing financial accountability and transparency in Islamic boarding schools; and (3) Minimizing misuse of the boarding school budget.

School is one place to shape the character of students. Character education in schools can succeed optimally if the implementation is integrated through school rules and regulations, classroom learning processes, and extracurricular activities. In addition, educators are also required to provide good behavior or character models for their students.This research aims to find out: 1) the implementation of strengthening character education in improving the religious attitudes of students in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School Ampel District Boyolali District, 2) implementation of strengthening character education in improving student responsibility in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School Ampel District Boyolali District , 3) barriers to implementation of strengthening character education in Muhammadiyah 3 Ampel Middle School, Ampel District, Boyolali Regency.This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews, observation and documentation studies. Procedure for data analysis with data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. While the research subjects were principals, teachers, parents of students, students and alumni.The results of the research show that: 1) the implementation of strengthening character education in improving the religious attitudes of students by incorporating religious character education into the school curriculum both in school and outside the school. 2) implementation of strengthening character education in improving student responsibility by being integrated into the learning process and school programs. Integration of character education in schools is carried out with integration in self-development programs, subjects, and school culture, 3) barriers to the implementation of strengthening character education are require continuous processes and are carried out continuously. In addition, students do not have a high awareness of themselves. The conclusions of this research are: 1) strengthening character education is carried out well and continuously in an effort to improve the religious attitudes of students, 2) strengthening character education is carried out well as in an effort to improve the attitude of responsibility of students, 3) obstacles faced in implementing education reinforcement whose main character is requiring time to cultivate self-awareness. Suggestions are aimed at: 1) Teachers to motivate and assist students in strengthening character and becoming role models for students, 2) Principals are more intensive in monitoring the development of school programs related to character education. 3) students can instill more responsibility in all aspects of life.

Character education is a system of planting character values to school citizens which includes the components of knowledge, awareness or willingness, and actions to implement these values, both to God Almighty, oneself, others, environment, and nationality so that we become human beings. In character education in schools, all components (stakeholders) must be involved, including the components of education itself, namely curriculum content, learning and assessment processes, quality of relationships, handling or management of subjects, school management, implementation of co-curricular activities or activities , empowering infrastructure, funding, and work ethics for all residents and the school environment. The focus of this research was the planning, implementation, and evaluation of humanistic character education curriculum. The approach of this research was a qualitative approach. The research model in accordance with this study was naturalistic phenomenology. For the determination of informants, purposive sampling technique was used. Research instruments or tools are the researchers themselves. The data collection of this study used four techniques, namely: in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation studies, and triangulation. Data analysis uses steps namely; data reduction, data presentation, and data analysis

The decline of national values caused by the weakness of character education. This research aims to gain an overview of the character education management in high school-based boarding school in Bandung. The method used is descriptive qualitative approach method and technique of triangulation. Research results show that management education character was made based on the appropriate program of management and the functions are used. The conclusion that the management of character education in high school-based boarding school in Bandung was made from planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring that in it there is the assessment process although those are not optimal

Education and culture to be very fundamental national character is created and maintained for the values of good character , namely : value , religious , honest , tolerance , discipline , hard work , creative, independent , democratic , curiosity , the spirit of nationalism , patriotism , appreciate the achievements , friends / communicative , love peace , love reading , environmental care , social care and responsibility . This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Malang , with the aim of : ( 1 ) To describe the implementation of National Character Education Culture And Culture In Schools " Bintaraloka " ( Adi Taruna Loka Bina ) in i SMP Negeri 3 Malang . ( 2 ) To describe the factors supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of Culture and National Character Education In School Culture " Bintaraloka " ( Adi Taruna Loka Bina ) in SMP Negeri 3 Malang . ( 3 ) To describe an attempt to address the factors inhibiting the implementation of Culture and National Character Education In School Culture " Bintaraloka " ( Adi Taruna Loka Bina ) in SMP Negeri 3 Malang.This study uses qualitative research techniques. Where researchers directly involed in collecting information related to the title of the study. The collection of data obtained by observation, interviews, and documentation. The informant who need be exstractedinformation is principal of SMP Negeri 3 Malang, Student Waka, Waka Infrastructur, Teachers and Student Civics classes VII, VIII and IX. Then the data were analyzed by descriptive qualitative.The results showed that the implementation of the nation's culture and character education in the school culture " bintaraloka " in SMP Negeri 3 Malang applied through routine school activities , school programs , Through programs such as the school Friday clean , . Through self-development such extracurricular scouts, music, sports , honesty canteen facilities and student council . In addition, through subjects to teachers always give a good role models... The solution is a school needs to provide outreach to all piha from parents, and establish relationships with others in the development of education pihal culture and national character itself.

The purpose of this research is to gain an overview of the role of the school committee in the implementation of School Based Management in Elementary School Buah Hati District of Pemalang. The focus of research is the role of the school committee in the implementation of School Based Management with sub focus the role of the school committee as a conduit of consideration, the school committee as a support, the school committee as a controller, the school committee as a mediator in Elementary School Buah Hati District of Pemalang.Results showed the role of communities in School Based Management has a strategic role means that the school committee acts as a conduit of consideration in the form of ideas, input, aspirations, involvement in school programs, serve as a support in terms of funding, supporting school activities, imaging either to the surrounding community, the role of controlling which act as watchdogs of the budget in the form of reports, supervisory activities, acting as a liaison between multiple mediators that school with parents, education authorities and the public. Elementary School Buah Hati has a principle of independence, accountability, transparency, and strong partnerships that school that provides easy access to information to the school community and the public on what is being done with school by utilizing various communication channels. Constraint of the school committee in the implementation of school-based management is the lack of communication between the school and the school committee because of lack of time owned by the school committee.

This study aims to find and explain the meaning of Tanduak dance movements in Nagari Lubuk Tarok as well as their relevance to the value of character education. This study used a qualitative research in analyzing and finding a narrative from a Tanduak dance. Data sources in this study were obtained from key informants, interviews, and documents. Data collection techniques were carried out through participant observation, documentation and other findings. Data analysis techniques used consist of data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study indicated that the Tanduak dance consists of three types of movements; ampek, salo and sambah. These three movements show a meaning relevant to the value of character education. Ampek means openness and respect for the audience, in line with friendly/communicative values. Salo means swift but sure, this movement is in harmony with the value of hard work and responsibility. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipan, dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan terdiri dari reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tari Tanduak terdiri dari tiga ragam gerak yaitu gerak langkah ampek, gerak langkah salo dan gerak sambah/penutup. Ketiga gerak ini menunjukkan makna yang relevan dengan karakter masyarakatnya. Gerak langkah ampek bermakna keterbukaan dan penghormatan terhadap khalayak, selaras dengan nilai kebersamaan/komunikatif. Gerak langkah salo bermakna sigap namun pasti, gerak ini selaras dengan nilai kerja keras dan tanggung jawab. Gerak sambah/ penutup bermakna penghormatan dan ramah tamah, selaras dengan nilai cinta damai.Kata kunci: tari tanduak, makna, karakter
